After their last KO-D Tag Team Titles defence, Daisuke Sasaki said that he and Soma Takao would pick who their next challengers will be. They went quiet for a few days until Sasaki emerged with an Amidakuji/Ghost Leg puzzle that decided DAMNATION’s next three challengers. Unfortunately the process was heavily flawed because the three teams picked were all impossible to book for one reason or another. Hisaya Imabayashi disregarded Sasaki’s choices and nominated proper teams instead. On this show Sasaki’s choice of challengers was himself and Yoshiaki Yatsu. Imayashi pointed out that Sasaki is already the champion so Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura are getting the shot. Oddly enough Imabayashi didn’t sound negative on the idea of Sasaki having to wrestle himself.

Danshoku Dieno is trying to become immune to all martial arts in order to defeat the MMA master Shinya Aoki. His plan to do this is pit himself in a gauntlet of matches against pro wrestlers with martial art and combat sport backgrounds. Now I know what some of you are thinking. Why is he fighting a swimmer? Because Aoki proved last year that he is just as dangerous in the water than he is in the ring. The inclusion of Kabaddi is Dieno thinking outside of the box too.

Takagi ordered Imabayashi not to book him on the show unless he is in the main event. The only way that can happen is if he cashes in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet during or after that match.

Sasaki’s Amidakuji puzzle selected Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae as the KO-D Tag Title challengers for “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. That’s impossible because LeRae is signed to NXT and it is also too late to endorse her for a visa. Sasaki offered to sign her up for a tourist visa but shut down into depression when Imabayashi said she already registered her details with Johnny Gargano. HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano are the challengers instead, creating an unwanted Smile Squash reunion with Soma Takao.

If Ueno & Yoshimura win the KO-D Tag Titles on 30th June, then they will defend the belts against HARASHIMA & Urano. Sasaki & Takao will then be demoted down to teaming with Nobuhiro Shimatani in the opening match.

The last Amidakuji team was supposed to be the newly married celebrity couple Ryota Yamasato & Yu Aoi. Instead we’re getting Joey Ryan & Hiroshi Yamato. It is possible that this title match will be cancelled if Sasaki & Takao lose the championship before the show. What is most likely to happen is the new tag champs will defend the belts in their place but DDT has not ruled out getting rid of the match altogether.

One last thing, DAMNATION have a four year plan in place for his personal goals. In 2019 they want to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles, in 2020 they want to win gold at the Olympics, in 2021 Sasaki wants to visit the moon and in 2022 Sasaki wants to get married to a divorced Candice LeRae in May of that year.

Yukio Sakaguchi’s roaring rampage of revenge has been stopped dead by Tetsuya Endo. The only times Sakaguchi was able to put Endo in a Sleeper Hold was once over the ropes and a second time quickly afterwards. Endo made his opponent even more angry when he hit a Low Kick to Sakaguchi’s back. Sakaguchi responded in kind. It took a combination of a Sit Down Power Bomb, the Swinging Torture Rack Bomb and a Handspring Leg Lariat to put Sakaguchi in danger. Endo then finished him off with the Shooting Star Press.

The “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” on 15th July is now set. Endo will be defending the KO-D Openweight Title against his biggest enemy Konosuke Takeshita! That is unless Sanshiro Takagi cashes in the last remaining Right To Challenge Gauntlet and wins the belt before that. Takagi says he will cash in while Endo is in a perfect state. Takeshita is happy to wait a little bit and let those two fight over the title if it happens before “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. Endo called out Takeshita for being Takagi’s favourite and he promised to beat Takeshita inside Ota Ward Gymnasium.

It was a fair effort from Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto but not enough to win the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Donaruto’s lewd exploits kept DAMNATION off their game. Stripping down to a gold thong and diving onto people can do that to an opponent. He wiped out Daisuke Sasaki with a Quebrada while Hirata and Soma Takao fought over the Viagra Driver. Takao got the upper hand and pinned Hirata with the Reverse Gory Special Bomb. DAMNATION’s next title defence will be at “WRESTLE PETER PAN” but Sasaki said they will decide who they will fight and also where. DAMNATION wants to decide everything by their ways.

ALL OUT had the honour of teaming with Tatsumi Fujinami for a special 8-Man Tag against a diverse team lead by Yoshiaki Yatsu. It was the first time Takeshita and Fujinami were in the ring together since their singles match back in 2013. Takagi tried adding lucha libre to the match and Rising HAYATO stepped in to help however he could. Yukio Naya stepped up to both Fujinami and Takeshita but the experience level was far too high for him to overcome. Fujinami would put him in the Dragon Sleeper to get the submission victory.

HARASHIMA was in a thankful mood as always. He was thankful to Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura for their part in DISASTER BOX’s victory today. He is also thankful for the fans for coming to see today’s big show in Matsuyama.

It was expected that Ryutaro Watanabe would lose to Hideki Suzuki but he went down fighting. He fought out of Suzuki’s Double Arm Suplex but Suzuki kicked him repeatedly until the referee stopped the match. Suzuki’s advice for Watanabe is to never run away if he wants to keep wrestling.

Saki Akai declined to shake hands with Mina Shirakawa until after their match. Akai rolled away from a Casadora and hit a High Kick, setting up the match winning Quetzalcoatl.

There were a lot of Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title changes on this show. After the opening match Danshoku Dieno was chased into the ring by Hiroshi Yamato and Pulp Bonjin. Dieno fought them off but Nobuhiro Shimatani snuck in and pinned him with a School Boy to win the title. Then in the Battle Royal the belt went from Shimatani to Mad Paulie to Asuka to the eventual match winner Makoto Oishi. The governor of Ehime Tokihiro Nakamura entered the ring for a congratulatory photo with Oishi but that was interrupted by an attack by Asuka and Toru Owashi. Governor Nakamura then surprised everyone by jumping on top of Oishi to become the new champion! Dieno chased the governor away then later came back to the ring with the belt, informing everyone he had won the championship backstage. Oishi gave Dieno a Low Blow and pinned him. Then Owashi gave Oishi a Choke Slam for the final title change of the day.

Former Shuten-dōji members Masahiro Takanashi and Kota Umeda faced off as one of Umeda’s final matches before he leaves DDT next month. Takanashi went for a bunch of Cradles until Umeda dropped him with the Umeda Driver.

It was announced today that Kota Umeda will be leaving DDT when his contract ends on 21st July. The reason is Umeda will be concentrating on working for his family’s business in his home of Kumamoto. The 24 year old will not be able to wrestle while carrying this responsibility. His family is important to him so he is choosing them over pro wrestling. Umeda originally asked to retire as a wrestler but Sanshiro Takagi convinced him to resign from DDT instead. Umeda is so young that he may find the opportunity to wrestle again somewhere down the line. For example DDT runs a show in Kumamoto once a year (this year’s show is coming up in August) so maybe that spot could always be available for him to wrestle in front of his home crowd. Umeda is grateful to Takagi for the advice he gave him and promises to do his best for the last two months of his contract.

Hideki Suzuki, Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshio, Joey Ryan and Mike Bailey will be on the show.

9. Special Tag Match ~Dramatic Dream~: Konosuke Takeshita & HARASHIMA defeated Shigehiro Irie & Kazusada Higuchi when Takeshita pinned Higuchi with the German Suplex (27:14).

Referee Yukinori Matsui celebrated his 25th anniversary in the business with a special show featuring DDT and Osaka talent. The main event featured Shigehiro Irie’s first match back in DDT since “DDT IS COMING TO AMERICA” in April. His interactions with Konosuke Takeshita stood out in the match. Takeshita gave Irie a Brainbuster on the entry ramp. Later on Irie cut off Takeshita’s Fable by hitting him with the Traffic Accident Tackle in mid-air! HARASHIMA got rid of Irie by hitting a Flying Double Knee Strike to the outside. Takeshita was able to hit the Fable on Kazusada Higuchi. He then pinned him with the German Suplex.

Takeshita said after the match he did not want to shake hands with Higuchi or Irie. Especially Irie because he was the one to end his record breaking KO-D Openweight Title reign over a year ago. However fighting him today reminded Takeshita that Irie is a rival and what he would like is to fight him again someday. Irie said he is happy with how much everyone has grown since he left DDT. He came here today to celebrate Matsui’s career and take another group photo with him.

The semi-main event was a scrap between Kaientai DX and the Kishiwada Brigade. A ringside brawl left Dick Togo & MEN’S Teioh both bleeding from their heads. Togo and Magnitude Kishiwada then brought in chairs and took turns hitting each other over the head with them. Kishiwada put Togo through a table with a Diving Body Press to the outside. Buffalo didn’t come out in one piece either. His mask was torn up and he too was busted open by Teioh. A collision between him and Kishiwada led to Togo getting the pin on Buffalo with a School Boy. The result angered Kishiwada so much that he gave his partner a Lariat before leaving the ring.

Kikutaro misunderstood what the show was and thought it was supposed to be Matsui’s funeral.

Matsui spent so many days putting this show together that Super Sasadango Machine wanted to give him a break. So Danshoku Dieno became the referee for Match #3. Sasadango went to give Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi the F5 but Hiroshi fell on top of him and immediately pinned him. Hisaya Imabayashi demanded a restart with Matsui as the ref again. The match went on as normal. Well as normal as a match with this lot could be.

Kuishinbo Kamen sent a video message apologising for missing the show because of an injury.

1. Kota Umeda defeated Nobuhiro Shimatani with the PK (7:09).
2. 3 Way Match: Toru Owashi defeated Makoto Oishi and Hiroshi Yamato when Owashi pinned Oishi with La Magistral Cradle (8:08).
3. Masahiro Takanashi & Asuka defeated MAO & Mizuki Watase when Takanashi pinned Watase with a Cradle (9:54).
4. Shunma Katsumata Return Battle: Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Yoshimura pinned Katsumata with the Shonenba (15:31).
5. Soma Takao defeated Kazuki Hirata with the Egoist Driver (9:58).
6. DDT Extreme Title – Yogi Yogi Death Match: Akito defeated Antonio Honda (c) with the Scorpion Lock (13:02).
*Antonio Honda fails in V1. Akito becomes the 45th DDT Extreme Champion!
7. Yukio Sakaguchi, HARASHIMA & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie when Higuchi pinned Paulie with the Doctor Bomb (13:06).

DAMNATION used Mad Paulie’s collar and leash to choke Yukio Sakaguchi with. However Sakaguchi was able to render Daisuke Sasaki useless with a Sleeper Hold, hit Paulie with the God’s Right Knee and got rid of Tetsuya Endo with an Apron PK outside the ring. HARASHIMA kept a look out while Kazusada Higuchi pinned Paulie with the Doctor Bomb. Sakaguchi told Endo he wants to kill him right now but he’d rather wait until their match at Matsuyama. Endo feels the same way. He said the KO-D Openweight Title means everything to him because he won it from Sasaki.

The DDT Extreme Title match featured a stipulation that starts off peacefully but descends into mayhem if something goes wrong. Antonio Honda and Akito wrestled each other while bystanders Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Konaka = Pehlwan would meditate and do yoga next to them. The slightest touch to either Hiroshi or Konaka would send them into a rage and result in a sudden attack before they returned to meditating. The provoked attacks would continue until Hiroshi and Konaka touched each other, leading to a fight between themselves. When this happened Honda had enough space in the ring to hit the Diving Fist Drop to Akito. He went for the pin but Hiroshi broke it with the Yoga Ye to Honda! Akito put Honda in the Scorpion Deathlock and made Honda tap to win the Extreme Title. The trainee at ringside, Nakamura, accidentally made contact with Hiroshi and Konaka after the match. He suffered the consequences.

Akito thanked Honda for the match and was ecstatic to become the Extreme Champion again after five years. Asuka congratulated Akito and asked for a title match. She is starving for a championship ever since she lost the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Hisaya Imabayashi loved the idea and wants the match to happen at Ota Ward on 15th July. However Akito struggled to accept it and even argued with Imabayashi over the idea. He eventually gave in and will put the belt on the line against Asuka at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019”.

Soma Takao already had Kazuki Hirata beaten with the Gin And Tonic. He decided to add insult to injury by pinning Hirata with his own finisher, the Egoist Driver!

The returning Shunma Katsumata took the fall in Match #4. Konosuke Takaeshita said he’s been annoyed by how much Katsumata’s career had stalled this year because of his injuries. He asked him to do his best to start again from scratch. Katsumata promised to do that and also to do his best for ALL OUT’s upcoming series with the Sendai Girls.

It was announced that Chris Brookes will get a KO-D Title shot at the 21st July Korakuen Hall show.

Higuchi found out he will be facing Yukio Naya on 30th June. When they met in the ring for the announcement Naya shoved Higuchi. Naya doesn’t care about his bloodline. He wants to show everyone his power under his own terms.
