1. Ganbare Opening☆Match: Kouki Iwasaki defeated Shuhei Washida with a Half Crab Hold (7:32).
2. Come Out Or Rakugo Showdown! Special Mixed Match: Shota & Moeka Haruhi defeated Gota Ihashi & HARUKAZE when Shota pinned Ihashi with a Roll Up (13:30).
3. Masterclass Combination Confrontation! Special Tag Match: Ken Ohka & Keisuke Ishii defeated Shuichiro Katsumura & Yumehito Imanari when Ishii pinned Imanari with the Extreme Tombstone Driver (15:19).

The Extreme Tombstone Driver is an over the shoulder variant of the Tombstone. Keisuke Ishii said the main event went a little crazy because the Saitama fans were better than he expected. He called for Ganbare☆Wrestling to come back here again. Ken Ohka agreed and predicted Tokorozawa will replace Tokyo as the popular metropolitan area in Japan.

HARUKAZE was super determined to win her tag match. Whenever she was in danger, she yelled “Never give up!” and began fighting back. After the match Shota asked for a singles match with HARUKAZE. Her answer was cut off when Gota Ihashi put HARUKAZE in a Sleeper Hold. She uttered “Never… give… up…” before fainting.

The small venue meant that the show took place on square mats instead of a wrestling ring. The director of the venue is also the director of a nearby medical clinic. He advised the wrestlers to be careful and not get injured.

1. Mizuki Watase Marunage Match ~ Advent Of God!! Falls Count Anywhere In Kurashiki Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match: Mizuki Watase, MAO & Asuka Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Kazusada Higuchi & Shunma Katsumata

There is this one person in Okayama who always comes to see DDT when they’re in the area and always buys a t-shirt. The DDT staff likes to call him God as a joke because of this. Mizuki Watase is dedicating his Marunage match to this person and was told he can do whatever he wants as long as it does not involve oil or gasoline. So Watase has come up with a Falls Count Anywhere 6-Man Tag Match. He likes Hardcore wrestling just as much as MAO and Asuka does so the three of them will team together. Watase is also thinking of creating his own battle cycle to combat Sanshiro Takagi’s Dramatic Dream bike.

Names advertised for the show include Great Mutiger, Takuya Yamauchi, Scoville and Yunosuke. They are all from a micro indy promotion that Gota Ihashi was once a part of called Oretachi Pro Wrestling. Mutiger wrestled in DDT before back in 2017.

Daisuke Kiso has been thinking about the future of DDT, particularly who from the new generation will end up being the leader of their group. The day will come when the likes of Takagi, Honda, Dieno, Super Sasadango Machine and HARASHIMA won’t be around. So Kiso has chosen five wrestlers he sees are the future of the company to do something with Toru Owashi. However Kiso has not decided on what the match will be yet. He is considering a 5 Vs 1 Handicap Match. It’s either that or a match between Daisuke Sasaki and Miyako Matsumoto held on the side of a cliff.

4. DISASTER Joshi Vs ALL OUT Joshi ~Shinjuku Super Whirlwind!~ 6-Women Tag Team Elimination Match: Hara Shimako, Kazuko Hirata & Yuko Ueno defeated Keiko Takeshita Jr., Akiko & Shun❤️Carousel (21:28).
4a. Akiko eliminated Hara Shimako by Ring Out (12:03).
4b. Yuko Ueno elminated Akiko by Ring Out (14:09).
4c. Kazuko Hirata eliminated Keiko Takeshita Jr. by Ring Out (16:55).
4d. Shun❤️Carousel eliminated Yuko Ueno by Ring Out (16:55).
4e. Kazuko Hirata eliminated Shun❤️Carousel with the Miracle One Shot Cradle (21:28).

DISASTER BOX Day began with Kazuko Hirata coming out dancing to “LOVE & JOY”. She told the audience to get drunk while they watch some brilliant joshi matches today. In the main event Kazuko was joined by the rest of DISASTER Joshi for an elimination match against ALL OUT Joshi. The first elimination happened when Akiko used a towel to choke out Hara Shimako on the ring apron. She then let Shimako drop to the floor outside. Akiko was then thrown over the top rope by Yuko Ueno. Akiko used her towel again to hold onto the ropes but Yuko pulled her fingers apart so she would fall down to the ground. Yuko and Keiko Takeshita Jr. were both sent out of the ring at the same time by Shun❤️Carousel and Kazuko for a double elimination. Kazuko pulled down Shun’s dress to distract her and then used the Miracle One Shot Cradle for the winning pinfall.

Kazuko invited all of the “joshi” down to the ring for the end of show speech. Hara Shimako came out dressed as Sadako from The Ring and everybody was encouraged to take selfies with her. Kazuko then danced to bring the day to an end.

A special rule was added to the 3 Way Match that allowed weapon usage as long as the item is associated with the sea. Weapons included a parasoul, sunglasses, swimming goggles and a water gun. Francoise☆Takagi tried to interfere by throwing the trainee Keigo Nakamura into the ring but she was scared off when Naomi pulled her hair off, revealing it to be a wig! Francoise☆Ihashi made Naomi upset by calling her fat. Kazuko Higuchi took out some wakame seaweed and smothered it into her opponents’ faces. She then pinned Ihashi with a bodyguard whistle assisted Diving Body Press. She later apologised for covering the ring in seaweed.

Saki Sukeban didn’t take kindly to being given orders during Match #2. She paused the match and told Hisako Imabayashi to come into the ring. She spanked Hisako whenever she felt the others weren’t wrestling properly. She spanked through almost everybody including Mascara Gayuerra Jr. & Gay Urano. But when it was Yuni’s turn Margaret☆Owashi stopped her to save the company from getting into trouble. Saki called out Sukeban Sakaguchi, but you can call her Yukiko! Actually, maybe don’t. Yukiko pinned Gayruerra with a Middle Kick and posed with Saki.

Mike Bailey won a sumo wrestling tournament. Never thought I’d write that. He asked what his prize was. It was honour.

The two chairs fighting each other come from the same family and have two other brothers. One of them was excommunicated. No need to tell the Lego people, it’s already been sorted. This was supposed to be a Lego Block Death Match but was quickly corrected to a Toy Block Death Match. Unfortunately for Shunma Katsumata the exact wording of the match has backfired on him. MAO used to play with concrete blocks from an early age. It was his favorite educational toy and made him the intelligent man he is today. That means concrete blocks are allowed to be used in the match! Katsumata is trying to protest the rules because he only wanted Lego involved. If he can’t change it then he’ll try to get MAO banned from Twitter like Chris Brookes. Either way, MAO’s going to smash him with a brick.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 5 Way Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Yuki Ueno defeated Sanshiro Takagi & Tsubasa Kuragaki, MAO & Shunma Katsumata, Chris Brookes & Mizuki Watase and Hiroshi Yamato & Gota Ihashi when HARASHIMA pinned Ihashi with the Somato (33:04).

A rainy day did little to prevent DDT from hosting a wrestling match inside Ichihara Elephant Kingdom. When it was time for the entrances each team had something different. Sanshiro Takagi came out on the Dramatic Dream Cycle with Tsubasa Kuragaki following him. Chris Brookes & Mizuki Watase came out next. MAO & Shunma Katsumata brought out a chair and a ladder. Hiroshi Yamato & Gota Ihashi were accompanied by idol Akira Itsuki. Finally HARASHIMA entered riding an elephant named Yumehana with Yuki Ueno leading the way. Other wrestlers who were not in the match hung around dressed like employees to make sure nothing went wrong.

The match began with Yumehana spraying water out of her trunk onto the wrestlers. They then found a large football and a goal nearby so the wrestlers challenge the elephant to a penalty shootout. One by one the wrestlers played goalie while the elephant took penalty kicks. When it was over the handler said Yumehana was tired and it was time for her nap so that was the end of the animal interactions for the match.

The wrestling resumed with Brookes & Watase dumping a large bucket of water over Yamato and MAO. When HARASHIMA armed himself with hula hoops Takagi instructed everyone to take the match outside to one of the animal gardens. Takagi did a Jinsei Shinzaki rope walk across a rail to Katsumata. He later wound up getting put through a table by Ihashi from a ladder. A chain of chokes lead into a chain of Headscissors on the ground. Trainee Keigo Nakamura then got involved and turned everyone over with a chained Crab Hold.

The action returned to the square where the wrestlers were lured into slaps across the face from Akira Itsuki. Ihashi in particular was very happy to get slapped. Brookes jumped off a podium to hit a Back Senton onto both Ihashi and MAO. HARASHIMA took out a hose and sprayed everyone, claiming he was only doing it to get them clean. MAO & Katsumata found another ledge that Ueno was standing on. They threw him off onto everyone below and then both Moonsaulted onto the group afterwards.

As the match was reaching the half hour mark Brookes found a wheelbarrow filled with elephant dung. This being pro wrestling, Brookes decided it was a good idea to bring this wheelbarrow out to be used as a weapon. He probably regretted that idea when HARASHIMA & Ueno lifted Brookes upside down and lowered him head first into the dung. The wheelbarrow was then emptied and moves were done into the pile of dung. MAO threw Takagi face first into the pile with a Hurricanrana, Watase gave Katsumata a DDT into the pile, Ihashi pressed dung into Watase’s face to break up a pinfall and Ueno gave Ihashi a Facebuster into the pile. The finish came with Ueno placing a bucket over Ihashi’s head and HARASHIMA ran in from a long distance to hit the Somato.

1. Falls Count Anywhere 5 Way Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Mizuki Watase defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo, Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata, HARASHIMA & Kazuki Hirata and Michael Nakazawa & Gota Ihashi when Brookes pinned Nakazawa with the Praying Mantis Bomb (33:35).
-. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) defeated Sanshiro Takagi with the Shooting Star Press into the pool (13:47).
*V4 for Tetsuya Endo. Sanshiro Takagi cashes in his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.

Before the match began Hisaya Imabayashi warned the crowd of fans not to run or push and they would also probably get wet. Every wrestler had their own preparations for the match. Chris Brookes was in his normal wrestling gear, Mizuki Watase was dressed as a pool guard, HARASHIMA wore goggles, Kazuki Hirata wore a swimming cap and Michael Nakazawa showed everyone Gota Ihashi’s newly bald head. Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata admitted they both cannot swim so they brought along inflated floats. Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo were the last to enter and they were armed with a deck broom and a bucket. Sasaki was also drinking.

When the bell rang Sasaki threw a bucket of water and Yukinori Matsui. HARASHIMA attacked others with the boogie board. Watase blew his whistle in Nakazawa’s ear. Takeshita threw Sasaki into the pool with a Back Body Drop. More wrestlers ended up in the pool while Endo used the broom to pull Sasaki out. Sasaki then threw another bucket of water at Matsui.

Endo wound up getting knocked into the pool along with Nobuhiro Shimatani. Over at one of the edges HARASHIMA propped up Nakazawa onto two ledges and jumped on him into the water with a Double Foot Drop.

Watase stopped fighting with Hirata and told him he came here to swim. Hirata agreed. Together they took off their clothes to reveal they were wearing swimming trunks underneath. They found MAO with trainee Keigo Nakamura nearby and challenged them to a swim race. Hirata won.

DAMNATION brought the broom back and used it as a weapon against the others. Brookes climbed a rail and hit a Senton onto Takeshita. The fighting then moved over to the waterslide.

Some of the wrestlers were knocked down the slide. HARASHIMA and others used it to do a Sliding Kick into Ihashi one after another. Brookes applied a Figure 4 Leg Lock on Katsumata but both of them fell down the slide with Katsumata reversing the submission on the way down. Nakazawa and Sasaki were the last to slide down.

Fifteen minutes into the match Katsumata gave Watase a Running Bulldog into the pool. A chain of Headscissors is formed along the wrestlers ending with Sasaki rolling all of them into the pool. Watase attacked Katsumata with the boogie board that was taken from MAO.

Brookes jumped off another rail this time to give Takeshita an RKO into the water. He and Watase asked some of the fans to help them get out but they instead pulled the fans into the water.

More wrestlers were Suplexed into the pool then when things got quiet “Tokyo GO!” suddenly played over the speakers. Hirata performed a one man synchronized swim to the song in the middle of the pool for all to enjoy.

Ihashi tried to attack Hirata after the dance but Hirata fought back. He got out of the pool and did a Moonsault back in onto Ihashi. He tried to pin him on the surface but Katsumata broke it up with a Diving Dropkick.

The next spot featured in the match was a bridge where Katsumata and Brookes fought. Katsumata was knocked off but he held on to the bridge and was left dangling backwards over the water. Brookes climbed over the rail and Double Stomped Katsumata into the pool!

Takeshita tried to get Nakazawa on the bridge but Sasaki of all people came to the rescue. Sasaki attempted the Pedigree but Takeshita fought out of it and dropped Sasaki crotch first onto the bridge rail. He then gave Sasaki a Brainbuster into the pool.

Endo was next to step up to the bridge but HARASHIMA met him there and knocked him into the water with two High Kicks. HARASHIMA then dove off the bridge to hit the Somato on Endo. He went for the pin but Nakazawa broke it up.

Ihashi wanted to one up that spot by doing a Moonsault but everyone swam out of the way.

All that was left on the bridge was Brookes and Nakazawa. Brookes avoided the Ultimate Venom Arm and he put Nakazawa in an Octopus Hold. He then hit the Praying Mantis Bomb to win the match for himself and Watase. Brookes used a megaphone to tell everyone he won the pool match today, next he wants to win the KO-D Openweight Title at Korakuen Hall!

The victory celebration was short lived when all of a sudden Sanshiro Takagi’s music played. Takagi came out and said he was going to cash in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet at the most immature time and that means right now!

Takagi rushed towards the pool and jumped in with a Dropkick to Endo. He ordered Hirata and Ihashi to hold Endo in place while Ihashi slipped down the waterslide for a rocket attack. Endo reversed his position with Hirata and Hirata took the blow. Takagi reappeared on the Dramatic Dream Cycle, Clotheslining Endo as he cycled past him. Takagi went for it again but Endo knocked him into the pool and threw the bike in there along with him when he found out the chain snapped off.

Endo put Takagi in a Crab Hold, pressing Takagi’s head beneath the water in the process. Takagi was able to fight it and escape the hold. He gave Endo a Stunner then set up a table with a ladder at poolside. Takagi jumped off the ladder to put Endo through the table! Takagi went for the pin but Endo kicked out at two!

Takagi climbed the ladder again to finish the match but Endo got up and climbed the other side. Endo grabbed Takagi and gave him a Brainbuster from the ladder into the pool! He went for the pin but Takagi also kicked out at two.

Both champion and challenger crawled up the bridge and charged each other. Takagi went for the Sit Down Himawari Bomb but Endo escaped. Endo turned the tables and lifted Takagi up in the Torture Rack. He then threw him off the bridge into the pool! Endo then jumped off the bridge and hit the Shooting Star Press! Endo was able to pin Takagi in the water for a successful KO-D Title defence.

With the chaos over, Takagi praised Endo for the victory. Endo then went back to the bridge one last time to confront Takeshita. With no more Right To Challenge Gauntlets, these two are now confirmed to face each other in the KO-D Title match at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” on 15th July. Endo said he’s been waiting for Takeshita. If Takeshita is at 500% power at Ota Ward then Endo will be at 1000%! Takeshita offered a fist bump but Endo gave him the middle finger instead.

2. Asuka, Toru Owashi & Naomi Yoshimura defeated Akito, Antonio Honda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Asuka pinned Honda with the Moonsault Press (11:40).
3. Yukio Sakaguchi Marunage Match ~ Mascara Contra Cabellera: Ultraman Robin defeated Gota Ihashi with the Ultra Dynamaite (8:13). (Special Referee: Yukio Sakaguchi)
4. Kota Umeda, MAO & Yukio Naya defeated HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Umeda pinned Watase with the Umeda Driver (14:30).
5. Yuki Ueno defeated Daisuke Sasaki with a Crucifix Pin (16:08).
6. Nagoya Specialty! Miso Stew Special 3 Way Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie and Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata when Brookes pinned Katsumata with the Praying Mantis Bomb (16:00).

The 3 Way Tag main event was crazy but Chris Brookes was able to navigate his way through the madness, picking off opponents when they didn’t expect it. When Konosuke Takeshita had Tetsuya Endo pinned in a Power Bomb position, Brookes broke it up with a Missile Dropkick. Brookes used another Swan Dive Dropkick to knocked away Endo while landing Senton style across Takeshita’s back. Brookes then took out Mad Paulie with an RKO before putting Shunma Katsumata away with the Praying Mantis Bomb. Afterwards Brookes again said that he doesn’t care if he’s facing Endo or Takeshita on 21st July. He will win the KO-D Openweight Title anyway! Brookes is also calling his team with Masahiro Takanashi the Calamari Drunken Kings.

There was a lot of shenanigans in the Daisuke Sasaki Vs Yuki Ueno match. Soma Takao tripped Ueno then later attacked him when the ref was down. Naomi Yoshimura got rid of Takao with a Lariat but Sasaki gave him a Low Blow when he wasn’t looking. Ueno rolled up Sasaki but the ref was still out of action. When he finally got up, Sasaki went for the Cross Facelock but Ueno countered it into a Crucifix for the upset victory. Ueno credited his warm up match before the show as the reason why he won against Sasaki.

Kazusada Higuchi was given a Choke Slam for the first time thanks to Yukio Naya. Higuchi called it an amazing move and a threat for when he faces Naya one on one. He is taking this match seriously and hopes it will be an attacker against another attacker.

Akito is warning Asuka that she does not know him as a singles wrestler and that version of him won’t show up until their DDT Extreme Title match. She also hasn’t experienced that kind of matches Akito fought in when he last helt the title so he is feeling relatively confident right now.

At the start of the show Ultraman Robin came out wearing a different mask than his usual design. He said his original mask was stolen and accused Gota Ihashi as the thief. During their match, Ihashi threw Robin into the special referee Yukio Sakaguchi. The clash was so painful that Sakaguchi was brought back to the locker room and Yukinori Matsui had to take his place. Ihashi had Robin beaten when suddenly another Ultraman appeared, this one wearing Robin’s mask. He put Ihashi in a Sleeper Hold. Ihashi pulled off the mask during the struggle to reveal it was Sakaguchi! He hit the God’s Right Knee to Ihashi and Robin finished him off with the Ultra Dynamite Lariat to win. Ihashi had to get his head shaved as part of the stipulation but only the middle was shaved of to match the mask’s centre ridge. Ihashi later reappeared with his head fully shaved.

The trainee Keigo Nakamura got to have an exhibition match with Yuki Ueno before the show began. It is not his official debut so a lot of the moves used were the basics.

6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura
7. Road To Wrestle Peter Pan! Special 3 Way Match: Tetsuya Endo Vs Konosuke Takeshita Vs Chris Brookes

After their last KO-D Tag Team Titles defence, Daisuke Sasaki said that he and Soma Takao would pick who their next challengers will be. They went quiet for a few days until Sasaki emerged with an Amidakuji/Ghost Leg puzzle that decided DAMNATION’s next three challengers. Unfortunately the process was heavily flawed because the three teams picked were all impossible to book for one reason or another. Hisaya Imabayashi disregarded Sasaki’s choices and nominated proper teams instead. On this show Sasaki’s choice of challengers was himself and Yoshiaki Yatsu. Imayashi pointed out that Sasaki is already the champion so Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura are getting the shot. Oddly enough Imabayashi didn’t sound negative on the idea of Sasaki having to wrestle himself.

Danshoku Dieno is trying to become immune to all martial arts in order to defeat the MMA master Shinya Aoki. His plan to do this is pit himself in a gauntlet of matches against pro wrestlers with martial art and combat sport backgrounds. Now I know what some of you are thinking. Why is he fighting a swimmer? Because Aoki proved last year that he is just as dangerous in the water than he is in the ring. The inclusion of Kabaddi is Dieno thinking outside of the box too.

9. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Souken Holdings Presents: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Tako (c) Vs HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano
10. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita

Takagi ordered Imabayashi not to book him on the show unless he is in the main event. The only way that can happen is if he cashes in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet during or after that match.

Sasaki’s Amidakuji puzzle selected Joey Ryan & Candice LeRae as the KO-D Tag Title challengers for “WRESTLE PETER PAN”. That’s impossible because LeRae is signed to NXT and it is also too late to endorse her for a visa. Sasaki offered to sign her up for a tourist visa but shut down into depression when Imabayashi said she already registered her details with Johnny Gargano. HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano are the challengers instead, creating an unwanted Smile Squash reunion with Soma Takao.

If Ueno & Yoshimura win the KO-D Tag Titles on 30th June, then they will defend the belts against HARASHIMA & Urano. Sasaki & Takao will then be demoted down to teaming with Nobuhiro Shimatani in the opening match.

2. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Joey Ryan & Hiroshi Yamato
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Chris Brookes

The last Amidakuji team was supposed to be the newly married celebrity couple Ryota Yamasato & Yu Aoi. Instead we’re getting Joey Ryan & Hiroshi Yamato. It is possible that this title match will be cancelled if Sasaki & Takao lose the championship before the show. What is most likely to happen is the new tag champs will defend the belts in their place but DDT has not ruled out getting rid of the match altogether.

One last thing, DAMNATION have a four year plan in place for his personal goals. In 2019 they want to defend the KO-D Tag Team Titles, in 2020 they want to win gold at the Olympics, in 2021 Sasaki wants to visit the moon and in 2022 Sasaki wants to get married to a divorced Candice LeRae in May of that year.

6. Road To WRESTLE MATUSYAMANIA! Special Handicap Match: Daisuke Sasaki defeated Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto when Sasaki submitted Hirata with La Mistica Cross Facelock (11:46).
7. King Of DDT 2019 – Final: Konosuke Takeshita defeated Soma Takao with the Fable (21:11).

When it comes to tournaments, the last six months have been a dominant one for Konosuke Takeshita. He now adds the King Of DDT to his 2019 collection along with the D-Ou Grand Prix and New Year’s Shuffle Tag Tournament. In the final Takeshita defeated Soma Takao, ending DAMNATION’s three year iron grip on the competition. He kicked out of the Official Endless Waltz and also the Reverse Gory Special Bomb. The big reversal in fortune came when Takeshita countered a top rope Gin And Tonic into an Avalanche Canadian Destroyer. From there he hit a Lariat, a Zehi Knee Strike and then the Fable to win. With this victory Takeshita now has a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” on 15th July. He doesn’t know who if he will face Tetsuya Endo or Yukio Sakaguchi for the title but either way there will a break in the new era. He will either have to fight the glamorous high flying of Endo or the killer aura of Sakaguchi. Either one will be an exciting path for him. In the end, Takeshita says he will be the one to choose this new era. The new era of Konosuke Takeshita will begin at Ota Ward Gymnasium on 15th July! For Takao his dream of main eventing Ota Ward is over. That is unless he can win the last remaining Right To Challenge Gauntlet…

The Canadian Destroyer being used as a counter for the Gin And Tonic was something that haunted Takao throughout the show. A big version from Takeshita ended his hopes of winning the final but in the semi-final HARASHIMA also hit the counter on Takao in the middle of the ring. However Takao had HARASHIMA scouted and he countered the Somato into the Official Endless Waltz for a nearfall. When the two got back up Takao did a High Kick and dropped HARASHIMA with the Reverse Gory Special Bomb for the win.

The earlier semi-final left both Takeshita and Kazusada Higuchi drawing blood from each other. Takeshita got a bloody nose from a Headbutt while Higuchi bled from the mouth after some late strikes. The match ended with a Lariat duel. Higuchi hit first but Takeshita hit harder and that gave him the win.

A 2 Vs 1 Handicap Match gave us a preview for next month’s KO-D Tag Team Title match. The outcome does not look so good for the challengers. Daisuke Sasaki had his hands full by dealing with both Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto but Donaruto’s lewd antics took the match in a different direction. For his big spot Donaruto stripped out of his gear and wore nothing but a gold thong underneath. Whatever he tried to do, the plan backfired and Hirata took the brunt of the attack instead of Sasaki. What little hope the team had left vanished when Donaruto missed the McFly Bomb and Sasaki trapped Hirata with La Mistica Cross Facelock to get the submission. Hirata apologised to Donaruto backstage for the poor teamwork but he noticed something when Donaruto spoke back to him. Donaruto’s voice wasn’t as low as it was before. Is he slowly turning back into Hirata’s old roommate from the Kobe dojo? Hirata remembers taking a picture with him pretending to be tag team champions back when they lived together. Maybe they can make that a reality on 2nd June after all.

The fifth match of the show was ready to begin when Keisuke Ishii suddenly came out. He lived up to his promise to cash in his Right To Challenge Guantlet. However to him it made no sense to get his title shot after Tetsuya Endo’s match when Endo would be too tired. That would make the winning the KO-D Title meaningless in his mind. So instead he was cashing in his title match now before the tag bout could begin! Despite the noble intentions, Ishii was unable to beat Endo. The champion kicked out of the Tiger Suplex and dodged the Kneel Kick. Ishii kicked out of the Torture Rack Bomb but was put away with the Shooting Star Press.

Endo got on the microphone to brag about his victory but he completely forgot that Yukio Sakaguchi was still at ringside waiting for their tag match to begin. From out of nowhere Sakaguchi ran in and hit Endo from behind with the God’s Right Knee. The tag match was officially declared to have begun while Sakaguchi had Endo locked in a Sleeper Hold. Mad Paulie tried to save his partner but Sakaguchi got rid of him with the God’s Right Knee. One more God’s Right Knee struck an exhausted Endo and Daisuke Kiso ruled he was unable to continue. I’m not even sure Mizuki Watase did anything of note, the win was all Sakaguchi’s.

Sanshiro Takagi was dared by the younger generation of wrestlers to put his Right To Challenge Gauntlet on the line in a 5 Way Match. Before the match begun it was announced that the match would also be fought under Scramble Bunkhouse Hardcore rules. Everyone begun the match starting at a different part of Korakuen Hall but when the bell rang Takagi was immediately targeted by the other four. For the most part it felt like a Handicap Match. MAO broke plastic cases over Takagi’s head, Kota Umeda put him through a table and the two of them were aided by Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Ueno for a Tower Of Doom Suplex spot to Takagi. Ueno then turned on the others by smashing a case over Yoshimura and attacking the rest with a chair. Ueno went for the Diving Body Press but Takagi used another plastic case to break Ueno’s fall then rolled him over for the three count. Takagi celebrated by hitting a Diving Press onto one more plastic case next to the stage. He said backstage that all of his opponents are stronger than him but they are also really bad friends so he saw Ueno’s betrayal coming.

Antonio Honda damaged his right hand and was unable to do the Gongitsune effectively. He tried doing it with his left hand but the move was still underpowered. His solution was to summon Toru Owashi, Makoto Oishi and Danshoku Dieno to form an Avengers Gongitsune for one big powerful attack! It was so powerful that Saki Akai could not block it. Unfortunately the attack missed its target and Super Sasadango Machine took the blow. Akito then made Sasadango submit to a Figure 4 Leg Lock. Akito says he is physically and mentally ready for the DDT Extreme Title match with Honda. He just has to wait for Honda to choose the match stipulation.

In the pre-show match Ricky Starks got to show off his vocal skills by singing “Livin’ la Vida Loca” while doing the Old School rope walk on Gota Ihashi. Mike Rollins took care of Nobuhrio Shimatani while Starks pinned Ihashi with a Spear.

Some more matches were announced for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019”. DDT’s newest signing Yukio Naya will take on Hideki Suzuki. Naya says he is close with Suzuki so he is glad to get a singles match with him. The other new match is Danshoku Dieno Vs Shinya Aoki!

Chris Brookes will be wrestling in DDT throughout June and July as part of DDT’s relationship with Fight Club: PRO. He was introduced in a video parodying the Time’s Up teasers New Japan have been showing on their events lately. This was done to make fun of Brookes being a popular guess for that reveal. Takagi said he met Brookes in New York and was surprised with what he saw in him. He thinks Brookes can do a better job of making DDT more exciting than the current young wrestlers in the company. If the younger Japanese wrestlers can’t do this job then Takagi has no problem with relying on the young foreigners instead.
