3. SAGAT Vs Ayumu Honda ended in a Double Countout (15:03).
4. FUMA & Ryuichi Sekine defeated Fuminori Abe & Daiki Shimomura when Sekine submitted Shimomura with the Let’s Combine (10:02).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) defeated Daichi Kazato with a Forward Rolling Cradle (16:53).
*V3 for Ryota Nakatsu.

Out of all the times Ryota Nakatsu had a championship match, this one was probably the most unusual. Daichi Kazato brought along several long rubber straps to either use as weapons against Nakatsu or as something to slingshot himself at Nakatsu. The straps limited the Union MAX Champion from using a lot of his regular moveset but when they were eventually taken out of the picture, he countered a roll up from Kazato into one of his own to win the match. Nakatsu asked the fans after the match if they noticed he couldn’t do any Zero Fighter Kicks, German Suplexes or V Sliders because of Kazato’s plan. They still had an exciting match though and he called Kazato the craziest guy.

With today’s victory Nakatsu said he now has nothing to fear when it comes to defending the MAX Title. Suddenly Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s music played and Hiroshi was carried down to the ring by his fellow WizRYU members Gouma Ryu and Speed Of Sounds. He said he knows Nakatsu all too well and asked if he was scared of him? He knows the last person Nakatsu wants to be challenged by is “Mr. Perfect” Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi! The champ admits Hiroshi can be scary but he isn’t afraid of him so he accepts the challenge. Hiroshi then tried to attack him but Kazato suddenly came to Nakatsu’s rescue! Nakatsu appreciated it so much that he decided he and Kazato should team up together. Backstage Hiroshi announced his MAX Title challenge will happen on 31st October.

Isami Kodaka missed the show due to illness. He was replaced by Fuminori Abe in Match #4.

Match #3 ended in a Double Countout after SAGAT lost his temper and threw Ayumu Honda into the audience. He then purposely prevented Honda from making it back to the ring. As soon as the match ended, SAGAT demanded an Iron Fist Tag Team Titles shot with Minoru Fujita as his partner because the Super Family are fed up with Honda and Kengo Mashimo. Hiroshi on Honda’s behalf accepted the challenge and said the match will happen on 17th September. He thinks Mashimo will be available on that date.

1. Daiki Shimomura defeated Takeru Inoue with the Swanton Bomb (8:59).
2. Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Gouma Ryu when Oosugi pinned Ryu after a Double Brainbuster (7:52).
3. SAGAT & Minoru Fujita defeated Daichi Kazato & Munetatsu Nakamura when SAGAT pinned Kazato with the Gore Grind (10:56).
4. Masato Kamino, Lil’ Kraken & Fuminori Abe defeated Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA & Ayumu Honda when Kraken pinned Sekine with the Period. (13:41).
5. Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & Takato Nakano when Nakatsu pinned Nakano with the V Slider (14:13).

During the main event Takumi Tsukamoto taunted Ryota Nakatsu in a bid to provoke the Union MAX Champion. But his attempt to hive him the Zudon was stopped by Isami Kodaka and Nakatsu went on to beat Takato Nakano with the V Slider. After the match Nakatsu told Takeru Inoue to hand him over an envelope because inside it was the name of his next MAX Title challenger. He then crumpled up the envelope and decided Tsukamoto will face him for the title at Korakuen Hall on 3rd August! The two of them are now the highest ranked management in BASARA so Nakatsu thinks the promotion’s biggest match of the year should be between those two. Tsukamoto said he will do his best to win the title and write BASARA’s next page.

It turns out Ayumu Honda really didn’t want to join forces with Hyakusho Ikki. He betrayed Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA and helped Lil’ Kraken with the match for the other team. Honda whispered into Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s ear after the match and had him interpret his message. Hiroshi told Hyakusho Ikki that Honda would never join a lame team like them. He only went near them because he wants the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. He already has a partner ready and he’s at the show today. Suddenly out walked Kengo Mashimo and he started fighting Hyakusho Ikki with Honda that made its way to the back! Later when things calmed down FUMA said Honda had made fun of farmers. Sekine warns that when you make fun of farmers you will see hell! They’re going to fight Honda & Mashimo fair and square with the Iron Fist Tag Titles on the line.

After Match #3 several wrestlers all got in the ring trying to figure out what match they should have on 3rd August. Daichi Kazato completely lost track of who he wanted to team with so Gouma Ryu suggested they do a 3 Way Trios Match. Ryu himself isn’t going to wrestle. Instead he wants to be in the corner of Speed Of Sounds & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. Kazato decided he will team with Yasu Urano and a third person. Both Minoru Fujita & SAGAT agreed to team with each other and go find another partner. Later in the day Hiroshi, Ryu & SOS all decided to form a new unit called with-kai.

4. Isami Kodaka & Tomoki Hatano defeated Daiki Shimomura & Lil’ Kraken when Hatano pinned Kraken with the Suigintou (13:38)
5. Ryota Nakatsu, Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida defeated Ryuichi Sekine, FUMA, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Nakatsu pinned Nakano with the V Slider (14:57).

Naomi Yoshimura made his BASARA wrestling debut appearing with the rest of Harimao in the main event. He has appeared in BASARA as a second for the other Harimao wrestlers many times previously but today was his first time wrestling in BASARA. Ryota Nakatsu praised Hyakusho Ikki and Aijin Tag for being strong opponents before congratulating both Yoshimura & Kazusada Higuchi for being back. He also didn’t forget Yuki Ishida by telling him he’s glad he’s doing well. Nakatsu also revealed that back when Yoshimura was a trainee, Nakatsu tried scouting him for BASARA but DDT didn’t want to give him up because he is so good.

When Match #3 ended in under 20 seconds, Gouma Ryu asked for an immediate rematch and accused Minoru Fujita of being a fee thief when he was refused. Fujita was offended by the remark and challenged Ryu to put his legal career on the line if he really wants the rematch. Ryu agreed and fought his heart out because his career as a lawyer is more important to him then pro wrestling. The two ended up fighting out of the ring and both were counted out. Gouma didn’t win but he didn’t lose either so his legal job is safe.

Judomaster had to pull out of the show after suffering from gout so Ayumu Honda took his place.

The hometown edge didn’t work for Isami Kodaka. He was already on the brink of defeat when Ryota Nakatsu gave him the V Slider but he was done for once he was put in the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock. Nakatsu said Kodaka escaped from his Arm Bar so many times during the match that he got fed up with him to the point where he admits the finish may have been overkill. Kodaka told him he once got advice from a senior to keep fighting strong juniors otherwise you will get old as a wrestler. So Kodaka will keep on challenging Nakatsu. The next Chouten ~Itadaki~ will begin soon and Nakatsu declared he will enter it. He plans to win the tournament so he can nominate his next Union MAX Title challenger.

The team of Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA are now going by the team name Hyakusho Ikki. Their opponents Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii weren’t considered to be a proper team when they challenged the Iron Fist Tag Team Champions but those concerns were pushed aside once the match began. The champs retained the belts and Sekine quickly left the show to go back to his village because the busy farming season is coming up. Shimomura wants to continue teaming with Ishii and the feeling is mutual. Ishii is getting addicted to BASARA’s charm and would like to enter the Chouten ~Itadaki~.

Kikutaro had a lot of legal questions to ask Gouma Ryu while they were fighting. Things such as is it a non-consensual wrestling crime to say “I’m going to kill you” to your opponent?

Judomaster complained about losing to KUBITO so quickly, claiming it was done via a foul. The two agreed to continue their match as a Best Two Out Of Three Falls contest. Judomaster won the second falls and quickly decided to leave until KUBITO called him the “Red Masked Man”. He returned for the third fall and got unmasked to reveal he is Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi underneath. KUBITO then decided to put the mask over the referee’s face, obscuring his vision. Hiroshi then unmasked KUBITO and the referee decided to disqualify them both for the fouls.

3. 3 Way Tag Match: Kaji Tomato & Kota Sekifuda defeated Daichi Kazato & Tsutomu Oosugi and Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Sekifuda pinned Kazato after the Speedman (12:39).
4. Daiki Shimomura defeated FUMA with La Magistral Cradle (14:39).
5. Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated SAGAT & Ryota Nakatsu when Kodaka pinned SAGAT With the Isamiashi Zan (19:54).

Today was a fresh start for Isami Kodaka. He appeared wearing a new costume as well as sporting a fresh hair dye job. However he hasn’t quite moved on from Sento Minzoku yet. After winning in the main event, Kodaka challenged Ryota Nakatsu for the Union MAX Title with the goal of becoming champion and then defending the belt against all other former members of the disbanded group! Nakatsu agreed to have the title match in Kodaka’s hometown of Yokohama on 12th April.

Daiki Shimomura feels like he’s done all that he can after he beat FUMA in a singles match today. With Keisuke Ishii by his side he thinks they can’t lose when they face FUMA & Ryuichi Sekine for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles on 12th April. All he can do until then is maybe think up of a tag team name.

The injured Takeru Inoue was put on trial accused of habitual gambling, referencing a recent news story about the comedian Takahira Kuruma getting in trouble for similar reasons. Both Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga pressured him with questions, asking him why he chose to train with HEAT-UP first before joining BASARA and insinuating that Inoue has never had a girlfriend. That last one caused Inoue to snap because he had four girlfriends in total when he was in high school. Inoue told the two to take wrestling seriously and ended up beating the both of them in a match to be declared Not Guilty.

Saran is 16 years old yet is already reaching four years of in-ring experience under her belt.

Shota’s opponent Mikiya Sasaki is nicknamed the “Dotonbori Bronco” and is heavily influenced by Dory Funk Jr. He’s been wrestling for 20 years across the micro indies.

Look at how fast time flies. Today is BASARA’s 9th anniversary of their launch and they celebrated by holding a Rumble match with nostalgic elements included. Daichi Kazato wore the costume he wrestled in nine years ago, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi showed up as Hiroshi Fukuda again in full USA gear plus a blonde wig, FUMA started acting like a heavy metal rocker again and Gouma Ryu kept getting eliminated over and over. Ryuichi Sekine was the last man standing and he told everyone how lucky he felt today. He also felt touched fighting with FUMA again and suggested they team up more often. In fact, the two of them should go challenge Astronauts for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles! FUMA was still feeling the heavy metal energy and accepted the offer. He started having second thoughts later backstage when he found out Sekine is a fake heavy metal fan but Sekine reminded him they still have a bond together because they are both farmers.

Masato Kamino wasn’t satisfied with his team winning today’s match. He and Ryota Nakatsu were able to beat Daisuke Sekimoto & Kuma Arashi but that’s only because Arashi missed Nakatsu with the Diving Senton and was then accidentally hit by a Lariat from Sekimoto. Nakatsu ended up pinning Arashi with a Jackknife Pin. Kamino had wanted himself to get a definitive win against either opponent and that didn’t happen.

The injured Takeru Inoue was in attendance to greet the fans at the start of the show and apologize for being unable to compete today. Isami Kodaka later pointed out Inoue must have only been 10 years old when BASARA was created. Kodaka also said he wants BASARA to be more fun for the wrestlers because if they’re not enjoying it, then the fans won’t either. Looking back Kodaka said BASARA struggled to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic so the company cannot take the future for granted.

1. SAGAT defeated Takeru Inoue with the Gore Grind (10:13).
2. FUMA defeated Ryuichi Sekine with the Jawbreaker (12:37).
3. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Minoru Fujita defeated Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga when Fujita pinned Ryu after a Double Kawazu-gake Otoshi (8:51).
4. 3 Way Tag Match – No Tag Rules: Daiki Shimomura & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated KUBITO & Daichi Kazato Yasu Urano & Judomaster when Shimomura pinned Kazato after a Standing Moonsault/Jackknife Pin Combo (10:04).
5. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Lil’ Kraken defeated Isami Kodaka, Takumi Tsukamoto & Ryota Nakatsu when Kamino pinned Nakatsu with the Lariat (15:34).

After the main event Lil’ Kraken started a rap and was about to challenge Masato Kamino for the Union MAX Title. However Takato Nakano stopped Kraken with a Dropkick and decided to challenge Kamino instead! He sees Kamino currently has three indie championships (the other two are a TTT Indie Unified Six Man Tag Team Title and the Shinjuku Nichome ILNP Title) but the MAX Title is the only one he wants. Kamino said it will be a rare match where Aijin Tag fights each other. He will crush his partner because he is creating a new era and he’s not asking Nakano to follow him.

Backstage after the show Kamino said there are two wrestlers who beat him last year that he wants to get revenge on. So on 21st January he wants a match against Daisuke Sekimoto & Kuma Arashi! He’ll go through that match first and then have his title bout with Nakano on a later date.

Minoru Fujita is on a break from wrestling in BASARA but he was still called in for a Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial. Banana Senga spent more time trying to speak like Kenny Omega and also wishing Tsutomu Oosugi a happy birthday than talking about the trial. He eventually accused Fujita of fraud because BASARA was still paying him during his time off. Fujita easily defeated Senga and Gouma Ryu to convince the ref/judge he is not guilty.

After the trial Isami Kodaka announced that Sento Minzoku is splitting up! The unit is disbanding in order to let Ryuichi Sekine fight more often without them as well as to help Daiki Shimomura’s future development. He and Fujita came to the decision on the car ride home after Fujita lost the MAX Title. Their last match as a group will be on 10th February.

FUMA told Sekine after their match that he woke up today at 5am to work on his farm before coming over to Shin-Kiba 1st RING. He’s proud to be a pro wrestler and asks if Sekine feels the same? He wants the two of them as part-time farmers to continue working hard in BASARA.

We’re not done with Poison Sawada JULIE just yet. He is sticking around for another show as the special guest referee for Shoko Nakajima Vs Hyper Misao. That’s not all, his presence means the match is also going to be a Lumbersnake Death Match! The match rules will be announced at the show but the name suggests it is a Lumberjack Match where all of the lumberjacks will be controlled by Sawada’s snake magic.

A few days ago I asked if Tokyo Joshi Pro was going to dive into the loaded joshi free agency scene this year. Then on New Year’s Day they announced at noon on the dot that Mifu Ashida has joined the company. Ashida was among the group of wrestlers from Ice Ribbon who announced in November that they would be leaving the company over payment issues. Ashida only just had her last match with the company on New Year’s Eve. She has a background in cheerleading and became a pro wrestler in 2023 after she was cast in a movie called “THE CHALLENGER: Ring Of Hope” that Ice Ribbon helped produce.

Many years ago (2017 to be exact) Yumehito Imanari lost a match to Yasu Urano by submitting to a Headlock. Now this isn’t actually as pathetic as it sounds because Urano has used the move to win matches several times in his career. It’s rare but does happen. With that being said, it is a loss that still haunts Imanari so right after he won the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title, he brought up that memory as a reason to challenge Urano to a match. Ganbare☆Pro have not decided to make it a title match yet but Imanari wants to put the belt on the line.

Last May was when Shinichiro Tomingaga blew out his Achilles tendon. After almost 8 months on the shelf he is ready to come back and make up for lost time.

Before Ganbare☆Joshi holds its joint show with Kitsune on 28th January there is the little matter of who should face MICHIKO for the Kitsune World Title to sort out first. Obviously Yuna Manase wants to get a rematch so she can win the title back. But YuuRI also showed interest in challenging MICHIKO for the title. The only way to solve this conundrum is to have Manase and YuuRI fight each other for the No. 1 Contendership.

Tyson Maeguchi Vs Fuminori Abe sounds like a match that is going to hurt.
