0. King Of Dark Title – 3 Way Match: Hiroshi Fukuda defeated Kouki Iwasaki (c) and Suguru Miyatake when Fukuda pinned Iwasaki with a School Boy (5:10).
*D3 for Kouki Iwasaki.
1. Shigehiro Irie & Soma Takao defeated Masa Takanashi & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Irie pinned Matsunaga with the Flying Sausage (6:54).
2. Antonio Honda, Konosuke Takeshita & Joey Ryan defeated Yasu Urano, Makoto Oishi & Yuto Aijima when Ryan pinned Oishi with the Super Kick (11:53).
3. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata defeated Ken Ohka, Danshoku Dino & Super Sasadango Machine (c) when Hirata pinned Dino with the One Shot Miracle Cradle (12:58).
*#OhkaEmpire fails in V2. T2Hide become the 21st KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
4. Hardcore Special Single Match: Yuko Miyamoto defeated Daisuke Sasaki with a Rope Assisted Pin (11:10).
5. Tetsuya Endo defeated Keisuke Ishii with the Sky Twister Press (13:47).
6. Hiroshima Specialty! Deadly Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Akito Vs Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kazusada Higuchi ended in a Time Limit Draw (30:00).
7. Yukio Sakaguchi & Kota Umeda defeated Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu when Sakaguchi pinned Nakatsu with the Right Knee Of God (15:07).

Yukio Sakaguchi says he is in the middle of perfecting his Right Knee Of God finisher. Looks like it will reach perfect status by the time “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2015” takes place.

A rare 30 minute draw was the highlight of the show. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Kazusada Higuchi was a pairing that worked in DNA and they felt they were the better team than HARASHIMA & Akito. The time expired right when Higuchi Choke Slammed Akito while Nakajima took care of HARASHIMA. They said they would have won for sure if there was five seconds left. Higuchi also wants to team with Nakajima in DDT again and aim for the vacant KO-D Tag Team Titles.

It’s now full sail ahead for Tetusya Endo after he beat Keisuke Ishii. Endo hit the Torture Rack Bomb for a two count but immediately followed up with the Sky Twister Press to earn the victory. Endo said power was a major weapon for him in this match but he might need something else to beat either Sakaguchi or Isami Kodaka at next month’s KO-D Title match.

Daisuke Sasaki celebrated his 30th birthday with a special Hardcore Match against Yuko Miyamoto. Sasaki had Suguru Miyatake in his corner but he was taken out with the Fire Thunder Driver. Miyamoto used a megaphone to call in Hiroshi Fukuda with a birthday cake. They sang Happy Birthday to Sasaki then Miyamoto smushed the cake into Sasaki’s face. Miyamoto later used rope leverage to get the three count on Sasaki.

Kazuki Hirata’s GO! Glasses went missing before the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Without them he struggled to find the enthusiasm to dance. Instead he focused on the task at hand and did quite well in the match. Super Sasadango Machine stopped him in his tracks by pulling out his missing glasses. He placed them down for Hirata to take it but Hirata refused, saying he does not need to rely on them anymore. Danshoku Dino took them instead and began dancing and fighting to the music. However Hirata was able to avoid the Lip Lock and pin Dino out of nowhere to make T2Hide the new champions! #OhkaEmpire demanded a rematch and it will take place in Hakata on 13th December.

In the King Of Dark Title match, Hiroshi Fukuda distracted Kouki Iwasaki by singing “Imagine”. Suguru Miyatake tried to get involved but ended up bumping into Iwasaki. Fukuda took advantage and pinned Iwasaki with a School Boy. Iwasaki dropped his shoulders in disappointment when it was confirmed he will be wrestling in the dark match at “OSAKA OCTOPUS 2015”.

2. World Triangle Match: Louis Takanashi XIV (France) defeated Hoshitango (Argentina) and Hiroshi Fukuda (America) when Takanashi pinned Fukuda with the Takatonic (5:41).
3. World Dream Match – Full Blown Italian Showdown Final Conclusion: Antonio Honda & Sasaki And Gabbana (Italy) defeated Choun-Shiryu & Cao Zhang (China) when Gabbana pinned Shiryu with a Backward Rolling Cradle (13:33).
4. Lucha Extremadura Jasu: Sanshiro Takagi (Osaka), Toru Owashi (Nagano) & Kazuki Hirata (Yoyogi-Uehara) defeated HERO! (Hero City), Mascara Guerrera Jr. (Rainbow City) & Brazo de Gotha (Ebisuko Tavern) when Hirata pinned Gotha with the Mad Splash (15:19).

Today’s Beer Garden show had a bit of an international flavour to it. The T2Hide group were in charge and they wanted to do some Lucha Libre. Their opponents in the main event were three luchadors including the return of HERO! He was joined by Mascara Guerrera Jr. who tried to give Lip Locks to all of the wrestlers, and Brazo de Gotha who was fighting on behalf of the Ebisuko Tavern. T2Hide came close to losing the match but help came in the form of Seiya Morohashi wearing the Hirata GO! glasses. Kazuki Hirata hit the Mad Splash on Gotha for the three count. He told Morohashi after the match he is a terrible dancer but he thanked him for his help.

The Italian 4 Horsemen was represented for the first time in over five years as Antonio Honda returned to his Italian phase to team with Sasaki And Gabbana. They were able to beat their Chinese opponents by blinding them with “Italian Powder”.

French wrestler Louis Takanashi XIV won his match with the help of some Death Cakes that were thrown into his opponents’ faces.

Kazuki Hirata and Seiya Morohashi had a match to determine who was the better stretch trainer. Hirata had the power of his GO! glasses but Morohashi took them off while applying the Crippler Crossface. Hirata tapped out and Morohashi left with the glasses. He would return with them later as mentioned above.

At the beginning of the show Sanshiro Takagi considered changing the name of T2Hide in order to become more appealing around the world. He suggested the new name should be KAT-TOO and he held up the same sign Makoto Oishi made when he revealed his KAT-TOO team three days ago.

1. Soma Takao defeated Gota Ihashi with a Diving Foot Stomp (5:13).
2. Konosuke Takeshita & Tetsuya Endo defeated Michael Nakazawa & DJ Nira when Takeshita pinned Nira with the Touchdown (10:27).
3. HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano defeated MIKAMI & Hoshitango when Urano pinned Hoshitango with a Backslide Pin (9:36).
4. Kikutaro defeated Guanchulo with the Shining Kikuzard (14:31).
5. Lucha Libre Rules: Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega & Daisuke Sasaki defeated Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Sasaki pinned Hirata after the PK Mind.
*Daisuke Sasaki wins Kazuki Hirata’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.
6. Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie defeated Antonio Honda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga when Ishii pinned Honda with the High Angle Double Arm DDT (10:40).
7. KUDO, Masa Takanashi & Yukio Sakaguchi defeated Danshoku Dino, Makoto Oishi & Akito when KUDO pinned Oishi with the Buzzsaw Kick (13:55).

After scoring the pin in the main event, KUDO called out for any of the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract holders to come out and challenge him. When none of them came out he then turned his attention to his next confirmed challenger Akito and talked about their upcoming match KO-D Openweight Title match. Akito told him it was going to be a war and he is the future of DDT.

Keisuke Ishii is utterly focused on getting an All Asia Tag Team Title shot. He yelled out “Akiyama!” before he delivered an Exploder Suplex to Tomomitsu Matsunaga in their tag match. He and Shigehiro Irie also have a new double team move called the Go 2 Irie Sleep. It involves Ishii lifting up his opponent in the Go 2 Sleep position while Irie kneels down beside them. Ishii then throws the victim face first into Irie’s head. After the match Ishii showed a video of himself confronting Jun Akiyama and Yoshinobu Kanemaru demanding a title shot. Both of them rejected the challenge and walked off. The video then showed Ishii approaching Akiyama in a public toilet only for Akiyama to yell at him “I’m pissing, go away!” Back in the building Ishii said he will got to Akiyama’s dojo to ask again and he will record the meeting to show at next week’s show in Kawasaki.

With the Monster Army disbanded both Daisuke Sasaki and Antonio Honda decided it was time for a fresh start. Sasaki asked if he could team with the Golden Lovers (but not with Gota Ihashi). Both Kota Ibushi & Kenny Omega said he could but they were then interrupted by Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata. Takagi challenged them to a Lucha Libre 6-Man Tag match. Sasaki worked well with the Golden Lovers, he even pulled off the PK Mind with Omega to win the match. Amon Tsurumi granted the new trio a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Title shot for the 12th April Kasukabe Hall show. Omega said he was reluctant to have Sasaki on his team instead of Ihashi but admitted they were a powerful team regardless.

Guanchulo cashed in his Right To Face Your Favourite Wrestler Contract to get a match with Kikutaro before he returns to Chile on 28th May. Kikutaro used his tricks to get Yukinori Matsui involved in the match and they proved to be the deciding factor. Afterwards Kikutaro thanked Guanchulo for choosing him to be his opponent.  Danshoku Dino announced the return of Danshoku Ranch Classic will happen on 20th May and it will be a farewell show for Guanchulo. He will also put his DDT Extreme Title on the line against Guanchulo in Kasukabe Hall on 12th April.

The DDT trainees Shunma Katsumata and Shun Miyatake pleaded with Amon Tsurumi to let them have another exhibition match. They were both unhappy that their bout at “JUDGEMENT 2014” ended in a draw. Miyatake also wants to prove he is ready to debut properly. Tsurumi allowed the match to happen with the stipulation that Miyatake will earn his debut match if he wins. Miyatake wasn’t able to capitalise on his oppotunity and lost to Katsumata in 91 seconds.

HARASHIMA and Yasu Urano will continue to team together under the name UraShima. They are willing to team with other wrestlers but have no plans to recruit a third member.

DDT held two late night shows in Shin-Kiba 1st RING. The second show was dedicated to a one night arm wrestling tournament called the GO-1 CLIMAX. The winner would get a ¥50,000 cash prize. The final turned out to be a preview for the 13th April main event as Kota Ibushi and Konosuke Takeshita took each other on, with Ibushi winning. Takeshita told Ibushi he beat his right arm but his left arm is stronger.

After losing his Right To Challenge Contract earlier in the night, Kazuki Hirata quickly replaced it with Masa Takanashi’s contract after he pinned him in a 10-Man Tag match. Hirata spent the night wearing a Magnum TOKYO mask in between his matches.

The night ended with a performance of Hulk Hogan Gymnastics by Antonio Honda.

*Yuji Okabayashi wins Kazuki Hirata’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract.

One of the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contracts has been taken away from DDT again. This time it’s in the hands of its strongest wrestler yet, Yuji Okabayashi from Big Japan. Okabayashi defeated DDT’s contract holder Kazuki Hirata at a Big Japan show held today in Yokohama. Kazuki was overwhelmed by the power of his opponent and the results was no surprise. Yuji wasn’t quite sure what the rules of the contract was, but when it was explained to him he said he would like to challenge Shigehiro Irie for the KO-D Openweight Title someday.

The Monster Army’s big guns are the first team to go after Hikaru Sato & Yukio Sakaguchi for the KO-D Tag Team Titles.

A fake M Samurai is on the loose! Kazuki Hirata had his own custom made El Samurai mask when he joined the Samurai Sentai Samurai Rangers but it went missing and he had to wear a plastic bag with the mask drawn on it over his head ever since. The mask was last seen worn by Samurai TV! personality Miki Motoi but that is no guarantee she is the person Hirata will fight in the Mask Contra Mask dark match.

4. BJW Tag Team Title: Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto (c) Vs Kazuki Hashimoto & Takumi Tsukamoto

The main event for the Union 10/2 show in Shin-Kiba will be something for fans of Big Japan Wrestling to look forward to. Isami Kodaka has invited his tag team partner Yuko Miyamoto over to Union to defend their BJW Tag Team Championship against Kazuki Hashimoto & Takumi Tsukamoto. Isami is currently a double champion. He recently won the DDT Extreme Title and has held the BJW Tag Title with Miyamoto since May 2011.

The Union and Big Japan crossover does not stop there. Union announced that they will be hosting a joint show with Big Japan at Shinjuku FACE on 29th March. At the press conference where the news was announced, Ken Ohka said the Union Vs Big Japan rivalry will be a lot like the New Japan Pro Wrestling Vs UWF International feud from 1995. Meanwhile, Yuko Miyamoto said he wanted to have a DDT Extreme Title match with his friend Isami sometime in the future. There was also a mention of Cherry taking on a female Death Match Champion named Toka Kobayashi. Hmmm, that name sounds familiar…

The show will also have the debut match of New Sanshiro Takagi. The original Sanshiro Takagi has seen his workload for both DDT and Union in 2012 become too much to handle, so he has brought along Keizo Matsuda of IWA Japan to literally take his place in Union for the time being. This is not the first time Matsuda has portrayed a duplicate. He was formerly Fake HG in HUSTLE.

DDT And Union In NEVER Tournament

March 5, 2011

Looks like Ken Ohka’s begging paid off. The NEVER brand from New Japan Pro Wrestling will be hosting a 16-Man Tournament on the 7th & 8th of April. Both DDT and Union will be represented in the tournament. DDT will enter Keisuke Ishii & Kazuki Hirata, both of whom have already wrestled in NEVER. Union will have Ken Ohka & Shinichiro Tominaga representing them. Other wrestlers involved here who also regularly appear in DDT and Union include Daisuke Sasaki, Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Madoka. We are not far away from the annual Best Of The Super Juniors tournament and a great, breakout performance by any of these wrestlers could potentially pave the way for an invitation to take part in the competition.

The Battle Royal saw Danshoku Dino, Tigers Mask and surprisingly Kazuki Hirata as the final three wrestlers in the ring. Hirata was hung upside down on the turnbuckles by the other two and ignored for the rest of the match. Tigers Mask injured his knee and Dino injured his arm and they eventually had each other in submission holds targeting their vulnerable limbs. They both gave up and the match was rewarded to Hirata, who was still upside down.
