April’s trip to see Baka Gaijin + Friends has Miyuki Takase coming over to the cramped bar to fight Chris Brookes. There is also Maya Yukihi, Baliyan Akki and Gaia Hox coming back to the fold. Plus whatever the hell Tyrannosaurus Inoue Vs Takagi Sanshirobo is going to be. Sure, let’s have a dinosaur and a robot version of the boss tear the place up.

DDT “DRAMATIC DREAM TOUR 2024 IN FUKUOKA”, 13/04/2024
Fukuoka Nishitetsu Hall

1. 3 Way Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Toru Owashi Vs Kazuma Sumi
2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Akito, HARASHIMA & Kota Umeda
3. O-40 Title: Makoto Oishi Vs Azul Dragon

It was discovered today that Makoto Oishi has been stripped of the O-40 Title because it has taken him too long to defend it. DDT has not said what the maximum time period allowed between defences is but Oishi won the belt on 21st March, 2023 and there hasn’t been a title match since. That’s a one day short of an entire year without Oishi defending the title (remember we’re in a leap year). However Oishi is getting a chance to win the title back and become a two time champion. He will have to beat Azul Dragon in a match where the vacant O-40 Title is up for grabs. Oishi is a little annoyed over the decision because 1) he never knew there was a deadline to set up a title defence and 2) Azul Dragon’s age is private so nobody knows if he is even eligible to compete for the championship.

BASARA “BASARA 246 ~UTAGE~”, 30/04/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) Vs Lil’ Kraken

So far in Minoru Fujita’s title reign he has defended the Union Max Title against Takato Nakano and Masato Kamino, two wrestlers from BASARA’s young generation. Lil’ Kraken paid attention to that connection and came to the conclusion that he should be next to get a title shot. Fujita only accepted his challenge because Kraken has a singles win over The Great Sasauke while he does not. He will not stand for that kind of discrepancy!

BASARA “BASARA 244 ~UTAGE~” Results

March 19, 2024

BASARA “BASARA 244 ~UTAGE~”, 19/03/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Fuminori Abe defeated Lil’ Kraken with a School Boy (10:11).
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Gouma Ryu and Takato Nakano & Yasu Urano when Oosugi pinned Ryu after a Thrust Kick from Senga (9:28).
3. Takumi Tsukamoto, SAGAT & Judo Master Vs FUMA, KUBITO & Daichi Kazato ended in a Draw when Tsukamoto and Kazato pinned each other (12:17).
4. Kazusada Higuchi defeated Isami Kosaka with the Doctor Bomb (13:11).
5. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) defeated Masato Kamino with a Modified Inside Cradle (18:04).
*V2 for Minoru Fujita.

Minoru Fujita praised Masato Kamino for being a strong opponent and let him give have time on the microphone after the match. Kamino was disappointed not to win today but reminded Fujita they will face each other again in another title bout this weekend. This time it will be in TTT in a match for the TTT Indie Unified 6-Man Tag Team Titles. Fujita is one of the title holders over there. Then Lil’ Kraken entered the ring and asked Fujita for a Union MAX Title shot. He figured since both Takato Nakano and now Masato Kamino lost to Fujita, he is next in line from their generation to challenge the champion. Fujita didn’t like the idea until he remembered that Kraken beat The Great Sasuke at Korakuen Hall last December. That doesn’t sit right with Fujita because he has never beaten Sasuke one on one. The title match will happen on 30th April.

Isami Kodaka tried targeting Kazusada Higuchi’s right arm during their match. The plan worked for a while but Higuchi was able to tough it out and beat Kodaka clean in a preview of next month’s IRON FIST Tag Team Titles match.

Match #2 ended with everybody piling on top of Gouma Ryu for the pin. Speed Of Sounds were ruled the winners because they were directly on top of him.

4. Special Tag Match: Keisuke Ishii & Shinichiro Tominaga Vs Makoto Oishi & Shiori Asahi
5. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada (c) Vs Shota & Soma Takao

Shiori Asahi is showing up in Ganbare☆Pro for the first time since 2017! He reunited with Makoto Oishi back then for a match against Shinichiro Tominaga that was built around Tominaga’s loose history with K-DOJO. The match is happening again except this time Tominaga is teaming with Keisuke Ishii.

With Yoshiko Hasegawa and Riara both leaving GanPro soon they get a chance to wrestle each other while still part of the Ganbare☆Joshi division.

GANBARE☆PRO “TONIGHT ON THE HILL WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE MOON 2024”, 28/03/2024

Hartley Jackson & HARUKAZE teaming up again means it’s the return of the Lethal Weapon tag team!

The final GanPro match for both Hasegawa & Riara will be a tag match against Yuna Manase & Banny Oikawa.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”, 31/03/2024

2. Aja Kong & Max The Impaler Vs Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao
3. Special Single Match: Minoru Suzuki Vs Maki Itoh

5. Princess Tag Team Titles: Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino (c) Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

So let’s get this straight. Yuka Sakazaki graduated from TJPW in December, hasn’t wrestled a match anywhere else since for whatever reason and is now going to make a special appearance to compete at “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”? Yeah, beats me what’s going on or what she will do there. Mizuki wants to team with her again and is scared over the idea it won’t happen. Sakazaki helped train Juria Nagano so she can say goodbye to her there. What if Sakazaki wants to get in the ring with Masha Slamovich again? Or maybe she wants to fight Andreza Giant Panda while she still has the chance.

Toy Kojima No More?! Chika Debut Match, More Title Matches At Grand Princess

February 13, 2024

DDT “NEPPA OVER FLOWERS 3 ~TOTONOI TO YOU~”, 14/02/2024
Shinjuku FACE

1. Hideki Okatani, Yuni & Ilusion Vs Takeshi Masada, Kazuma Sumi & Rukiya
2. Yakushiyu Presents ~DDT Sauna Club Vs DDT Open Bath Club~: Kazuki Hirata & Tonttu Naya Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Makoto Oishi
3. Aqua Yu-kari Presents ~Shunma Katsumata’s Sauna Room~: Shunma Katsumata Vs Kuroshio TOKYO Japan
4. SeaSaunaShack Presents ~Mao Inoue’s Sauna Room~ – Ring-Out 3-Count Match: MAO Vs Chris Brookes
5. Hokuoh Presents ~Toy Kojima’s Sauna Room~: Toy Kojima Vs Masato Tanaka
6. KO-D Openweight Title ~Naniwa Kenko Land-Yu Presents Yuki Ueno’s Sauna Room~: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Danshoku Dieno

History shows every time MAO and Chris Brookes are in the same match together they end up fighting each other out of the ring and a Countout result becomes inevitable. A fed up Yukinori Matsui said changing the countout to ten, five or even three seconds is enough to solve the problem. But when MAO and Brookes heard him say a three second countout they fell in love with the idea and want their match tomorrow to follow that rule. Since The 37KAMIINA are in charge of tomorrow’s show, the rule is going to be used.

Toy Kojima will be wrestling under a new name for his match against Masato Tanaka. He wants to fight against the unknown and change himself because he sees tomorrow as a new beginning for The 37KAMIINA.

Most of the matches will have sponsored prizes on the line given to the winners.

BASARA “BASARA 242 ~UTAGE~”, 20/02/2024
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Lil’ Kraken Vs Kengo Mashimo
2. Daichi Kazato & X Vs Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga
3. Isami Kodaka & Ryota Nakatsu Vs Takumi Tsukamoto & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi
4. FUMA, KUBITO & Yasu Urano Vs SAGAT, Masato Kamino & Gouma Ryu
5. Union MAX Title: Minoru Fujita (c) Vs Takato Nakano

Kengo Mashimo from 2AW pays another visit to BASARA. This time around he is being kept away from Isami Kodaka. Instead he’s coming over to fight Lil’ Kraken.

I can’t even guess what kind of mystery wrestler Daichi Kazato would go out and find to team with him.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “BEAT POWER ’24”, 24/02/2024
Osaka Edion Arena #2

1. 3 Way Match: Yuki Kamifuku Vs Pom Harajuku Vs Haru Kazashiro
2. Chika Debut Match: Moka Miyamoto Vs Chika
3. Kaya Toribami Vs Juria Nagano
4. Hyper Misao Vs Nao Kakuta
5. Maki Itoh & Raku Vs Mahiro Kiryu & Shino Suzuki
6. Shoko Nakajima, Rika Tatsumi & Mizuki Vs Wakana Uehara, HIMAWARI & Toga
7. Miyu Yamashita, Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino Vs Miu Watanabe, Suzume & Arisu Endo

It’s champions versus challengers in a big preview for Sumo Hall one month later! Miyu Yamashita and Ryo Mizunami just had their first match together over the weekend. They were opponents there and this time they are on the same side. Miu Watanabe has to swallow a little bit of her pride because she is teaming with Daisy Monkey, the team that just beat Daydream to win the Max Heart Tournament.

Maki Itoh returns to the ring back in fighting form.

We got the announcement of Kirra and Uta making their debuts soon. Those keeping track may have noticed there is another trainee from that class who seemed to be left out. Well it turns out she is going to debut soon too, even sooner in fact. Chika will have her first match just over a week before Kirra and Uta will. Moka Miyamoto will be her opponent.

This will be Juria Nagano’s final match in Osaka before her graduation from Tokyo Joshi Pro.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”, 31/03/2024
Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan

1. International Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Yuki Kamifuku
2. Princess Tag Team Titles: Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino (c) Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
3. Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

After so much struggle, Daisy Monkey are about to finally reach the top of TJPW’s tag division. All they have to do now is beat Yukiniki for the Princess Tag Team Titles. It will be Mizunami & Yuki Aino’s first defence so they will not want to lose the belts so quickly.

A glamorous fight for the International Princess Title has been put together. Yuki Arai was challenged by Yuki Kamifuku, who is looking to become a double champion. Would the IP Title look that nice next to the Queen Of Asia Title?

Nagano Act Hall

1. Hideki Okatani Vs Rukiya
2. Sanshiro Takagi, Yoshitatsu & Yukio Naya Vs Chris Brookes, Takeshi Masada & Kazuma Sumi
3. Daisuke Sasaki & KANON Vs Yuki Iino & Akito
4. Special Tag Match: Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata Vs HARASHIMA & Soma Takao
5. Special Tag Match: Yukio Sakaguchi & Antonio Honda Vs Kazuki Hirata & Kazusada Higuchi
6. Nagano Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Toru Owashi & Akihiro Vs Danshoku Dieno, Makoto Oishi & Tetsuya Endo

Yoshihiko has gotten itself into trouble after getting double booked this weekend. It will be travelling to Europe with MAO to wrestle in France and England. However DDT had also booked Yoshihiko for their show in Nagano this Sunday. It’s too late to change plans so DDT is pulling their other battle doll Akihiro out of storage to take Yoshihiko’s place. The company has strictly warned Yoshihiko not to double book itself like that again. However MAO is defending his friend because their European dates were booked well in advance and MAO has been promoting them online since December so DDT had plenty of time to avoid this scenario.

DDT “INTO THE FIGHT 2024 TOUR IN SHINJUKU”, 07/02/2024
Shinjuku FACE

1. Kazuki Hirata & Danshoku Dieno Vs Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi
2. Jun Akiyama, Yoshitatsu & Soma Takao Vs Toru Owashi, Akito & Kazuma Sumi
3. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yuki Ueno, MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Naya & Makoto Oishi

6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & KANON (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo & Yuki Iino
7. Yukio Sakaguchi Retirement Match: Yukio Sakaguchi Vs HARASHIMA

The DDT Extreme Title picture has a new direction after Shunma Katsumata regained the championship over the weekend and two potential challengers approached him. Hideki Okatani wants to rekindle his rivalry with Katsumata over the title from last year. However MJ Paul has also stepped forward wanting a title shot, even going through the effort to write a letter to declare his challenge. A fight broke out between everyone over the situation so a decision was made to have Okatani and Paul fight each other in a No. 1 Contender’s Match.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “THE 4TH “FUTARI WA PRINCESS” MAX HEART TOURNAMENT”, 10/02/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Shino Suzuki Vs Haru Kazashiro
2. Yuki Kamifuku, Nao Kakuta & Mahiro Kiryu Vs Raku, Pom Harajuku & Ram Kaichow
3. Moka Miyamoto Vs Kaya Toribami
4. Mizuki Vs Zara Zakher
5. Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao Vs Wakana Uehara & HIMAWARI
6. Miyu Yamashita & Toga Vs Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino
7. International Princess Title: Yuki Arai (c) Vs Juria Nagano
8. “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament – Final: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo

The Max Heart Tournament could get its first two-time winner if Daydream beats Daisy Monkey in the final. The tournament winners usually move on to challenge for the Princess Tag Team Titles and Rika Tatsumi previously made a suggestion that Miu Watanabe can do two title matches at “GRAND PRINCESS ’24”. Watanabe would go along with the idea even if she isn’t super enthusiastic about it. Suzume & Arisu Endo keep finding ways to get shots at the top teams, Daydream included, but it always ends in failure for them. Will this turn out differently?

Juria Nagano is making sure to do as much as she can in the ring before her graduation in April. Her big goal is to win a championship or tournament. She couldn’t do it in the Max Heart Tournament so now she wants to challenge Yuki Arai for the International Princess Title. Nagano sees Arai as a wrestling senpai to surpass rather than some big celebrity.

The next foreign wrestler to enter Tokyo Joshi Pro is Zara Zakher from the California wrestling scene. She is 22 years old and only been wrestling for a year but her talent and potential as a breakout prospect leads her over to TJPW. Mizuki has been selected to be her opponent for her Korakuen Hall debut.

The opening match is going to give either Shino Suzuki or Haru Kazashiro their first singles win.

Ryo Mizunami and Ram Kaichow are both paying a visit here again.

An international tag match gathers together Alex Lee from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Yoshiko Hasegawa from Japan, Yappy from the Philippines and JC Storm from America. Storm is currently in Japan to wrestle for Ice Ribbon.

DDT “NEPPA OVER FLOWERS 3 ~TOTONOI TO YOU~”, 14/02/2024
Shinjuku FACE

1. Hideki Okatani, Yuni & Ilusion Vs Takeshi Masada, Kazuma Sumi & Rukiya
2. ~Kazuki Hirata’s Sauna Room?~: Kazuki Hirata Vs Makoto Oishi Vs Kazusada Higuchi Vs Yukio Naya

4. ~Shunma Katsumata’s Sauna Room~: Shunma Katsumata Vs Kuroshio TOKYO Japan
5. ~Mao Inoue’s Sauna Room~: MAO Vs Chris Brookes
6. KO-D Openweight Title ~Yuki Ueno’s Sauna Room~: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Danshoku Dieno

A request was made by Yuki Ueno to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against Danshoku Dieno. He wanted his next challenger to be the most interesting person in DDT since the championship is more than just about who is the strongest. There is already a singles match between them booked for The 37KAMIINA’s produce show in Shinjuku FACE. To make his point even clearer, Ueno convinced DDT to turn that match into a KO-D Title bout because it does not matter to him where it takes place. This will be the first KO-D Title match held in front of an audience in around 8 years. Dieno warns Ueno that there’s a reason why the company never wants him to win that championship even if he symbolises the spirit of DDT more than anyone else. The entire direction of the KO-D Title will change if Dieno gets his hands on it!

Kazuki Hirata gets to keep his spot on the show despite turning down The 37KAMIINA’s offer to join their unit. He now has his mind set on creating his own stable and he is searching for potential members.

3. Kazuki Hirata Vs Toy Kojima
4. Special Tag Match: Jun Akiyama & Yoshitatsu Vs Tetsuya Endo & Makoto Oishi
5. Special Single Match: Danshoku Dieno Vs Super Sasadango Machine

Does Toy Kojima take it personally that Hirata turned him down along with the rest of the sauna boys? Does Hirata take it personally that Kojima is the reason he is no longer the Extreme Champion? If there are any sore feelings between them coming out of the weekend, it’s best to settle them as soon as possible.

BASARA “BASARA 237 ~GRIND AN AXE TO MAKE A NEEDLE~” Results

December 3, 2023

BASARA “BASARA 237 ~GRIND AN AXE TO MAKE A NEEDLE~”, 03/12/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Ryuichi Sekine, Minoru Fujita, Yasu Urano & Abdullah Kobayashi defeate KUBITO, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, Daichi Kazato & Fuminori Abe when Sekine submitted Kazato with the Let’s Combine (10:04).
2. 3 Way Match: Leo Isaka defeated Masato Kamino and Gouma Ryu when Isaka submitted Ryu with a Combined Camel Clutch (6:38).
3. Yuko Miyamoto defeated Takato Nakano with the Moonsault Press (9:02).
4. Hideyoshi Kamitani & Daichi Hashimoto defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT when Kamitani pinned SAGAT with the Back Drop (13:22).
5. Lil’ Kraken defeated The Great Sasuke with the Flying Knee Kick (12:09).
6. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when Nakatsu pinned Oosugi with the V Slider (12:37).
*V1 for Harimao.
7. Union MAX Title: FUMA (c) defeated Isami Kodaka with an Arm Clutch Fisherman Suplex (17:13).
*V2 for FUMA.

FUMA called Isami Kodaka his biggest wall going all the way back to the days of Union Pro. It is a wall he will always climb until they both retire. FUMA also said he is going to be the ace of BASARA in 2024 so he can make it a bigger organization in the pro wrestling world. Kodaka described FUMA as the competitive type when BASARA has many wrestlers who are playful.

In a close call, Harimao beat Speed Of Sounds to retain the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles. Even though Ryota Nakatsu scored the pinfall, he asked Kazusada Higuchi if they really did win because SOS were so hard to deal with.

The big upset of the day was Lil’ Kraken beating The Great Sasuke! Kraken is a big fan of his and hopes this won’t be the last time they are in the ring together. He won the match but felt there were times when Sasuke outclassed him. Next time Kraken wants to team with Sasuke in order to improve his own weaknesses. Sasuke said he lost in a pro wrestling match so next time he wants to face Kraken in a rap battle!

There wasn’t an upset when Takato Nakano faced Yuko Miyamoto though. Miyamoto won with the Moonsault Press and didn’t stick around to interact with Nakano any further afterwards.

The finish to the 3 Way Match was Masato Kamino putting Leo Isaka in a Camel Clutch while Isaka was applying his own Camel Clutch to Gouma Ryu. The added pressure forced Ryu to give up and since Isaka had the hold on him that meant Isaka was the winner.

An IRON PRIEST reunion took place in the main event when FUMA got to team up with Hagane Shinno. They still remembered when to do heavy metal hand signs together.

Lil’ Kraken wanted to make it clear that his upcoming match against The Great Sasuke is not going to be friendly or just for making memories. He wants to beat Sasuke to launch a whole new era in pro wrestling!

A BASARA Vs Ganbare☆Pro tag match was held as a warm up for Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi’s appearance in GanPro happening later that day. He and Daichi Kazato defeated the visiting Keisuke Ishii & Shinichiro Tominaga. Hiroshi got the pin and felt ready for his match against Yumehito Imanari happening later.

Danshoku Dieno’s team has been spending time together in preparation for their match against Sanshiro Takagi’s squad. The latest meeting had Dieno, Yoshitatsu & Yoshihiko go visit MMA fighter Hideo Tokoro’s gym to learn some new techniques. Yoshitatsu has been friends with Tokoro since childhood and Tokoro also got along with Dieno when he found out they are all 46 years old. Tokoro tried to teach them submission holds by using Yoshihiko as a training dummy. He then showed Dieno a way to apply multiple submissions at once by demonstrating a Cobra Twist and Muffler Hold combination. Dieno failed to apply the combination to Yoshitatsu and was scolded for not taking the training seriously.

Suddenly Takagi, Akito & Makoto Oishi barged into the gym. They heard from the media about this session going on and told Dieno that training with Tokoro for just a few minutes isn’t going to work. Dieno disagreed but Akito reminded him he is currently in a slump. Oishi said he will make sure Dieno won’t even make it to Sumo Hall and he suddenly attacked him. However all of a sudden Dieno outwrestled Oishi and successfully applied the submission combination he tried earlier while also reaching over to touch Oishi’s groin. This caused Oishi to submit while in great pain. Takagi, Akito & Oishi then fled from the scene. Dieno announced he is naming his new submission move the Danshoku Fantasy. Tokoro was surprised at how quickly Dieno learned the move. Dieno explained that people tend to get stronger when they are backed into a corner. He is in a slump and adversity was the key for him to break out of it.

Dieno then invited Tokoro to give pro wrestling a try. Tokoro declined, saying he would have to start off as a trainee. Dieno pointed out that DDT is unlike other wrestling companies. As long as you are willing to put your life on the line then you can step into the DDT ring. He told Tokoro the possibility will always be there if he is interested.

Wrestling in his hometown is not the only advantage Toy Kojima might have for this Falls Count Anywhere match. Shunma Katsumata is the special guest referee so he might play favorites with The 37KAMIINA team.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “THE MOUNTAIN TOP 2023”, 19/11/2023
Osaka Edion Arena #2

1. Next Generation Tournament ’23 – Semi-Final: Shino Suzuki Vs HIMAWARI
2. Next Generation Tournament ’23 – Semi-Final: Wakana Uehara Vs Toga

5. Yuki Arai, Suzume & Arisu Endo Vs Moka Miyamoto, Juria Nagano & Kaya Toribami
6. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
7. International Princess Title: Max The Impaler (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima

The main event is subject to change if Max The Impaler loses the International Princess Title to Kasey in EVE later this week.

It’s been over a year since Juria Nagano has wrestled in Osaka so Tokyo Joshi Pro is putting her in the same match as Yuki Arai to make it a bigger deal. The two of them have only been in the same match once before and that was at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022”.

Miyu Yamashita is not at the show because she will in wrestling at EVE in England that same day.

BASARA “BASARA 236 ~TAKAGARI 21~”, 23/11/2023
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. SAGAT Vs Akiyori Takizawa
2. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato Vs Keisuke Ishii & Shinichiro Tominaga
3. Takumi Tsukamoto & Lil’ Kraken Vs KUBITO & Ryuichi Sekine
4. Ryota Nakatsu, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino Vs Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Yasu Urano
5. Isami Kodaka & Minoru Fujita Vs FUMA & Hagane Shinno

As we get closer to the last Union MAX Title match of the year FUMA and Isami Kodaka are both bringing in reinforcements. Kodaka is staying within Sento Minzoku and has Minoru Fujita on his side. FUMA is calling in an old ally of his from BASARA’s early years. Hagane Shinno will be teaming with him.

This weekend Masato Kamino will be challenging T-Hawk for the G-REX Title in GLEAT. Will he be their new champion by the time BASARA’s next show takes place?

This is Akiyori Takizawa’s first appearance in BASARA since Sparky disbanded.

GANBARE☆PRO “ELEVATOR TO THE GALLOWS ’23”, 23/11/2023
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. YuuRI & Riara Vs SAKI & Yoshiko Hasegawa
2. Dan The Dad, Tyson Maeguchi & Banny Oikawa Vs Soma Takao, Shinichiro Tominaga & HARUKAZE
3. Yumehito Imanari Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi
4. Ken Ohka & Mizuki Watase Vs Koji Doi & Kuma Arashi
5. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada (c) Vs Keisuke Ishii & Munetatsu Nakamura
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Isami Kodaka (c) Vs Shota

Kind of cheeky for Ken Ohka to lose a hair match and then take a month off from running main Ganbare☆Pro shows so it would have grown back a little bit when the next one takes place. He has wrestled on other indies since then so it’s not like he’s been avoiding attention. Anyway he still wants revenge on DoiKuma and gets another tag match against them. This time Mizuki Watase is teaming with him.

Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi pays a visit from BASARA to face Yumehito Imanari.

After months of preparation on Ganbare☆Joshi shows Banny Oikawa finally gets her wish to wrestle on a main GanPro show. She’s taking part in an intergender tag match too which is the style she came back to wrestling for. What a weird world we live in when we get a match that has both her and Dan The Dad involved.

BASARA “BASARA 237 ~GRIND AN AXE TO MAKE A NEEDLE~”, 03/12/2023
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Takato Nakano Vs Yuko Miyamoto
2. Lil’ Kraken Vs The Great Sasuke
3. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga
4. Union MAX Title: FUMA (c) Vs Isami Kodaka

Kodaka has the slight edge over FUMA after he pinned him with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch yesterday. A flash pin from moves like that or the Samson Clutch is a danger that FUMA needs to watch out for.

The IRON FIST Tag Team are now shared between a BASARA wrestler and a DDT wrestler. Kazusada Higuchi for now has to bounce back and forth between the two promotions while representing the Harimao stable with Ryota Nakatsu. Their first title defence is against Speed Of Sounds and will be held on the same day as a DDT show. However Higuchi made sure that none of his D-Ou Grand Prix matches are taking place that day so he can concentrate on defending the belts without having to worry about his tournament run at the same time.

Two of BASARA’s younger wrestlers have each been given challenging opponents in an effort to make them step up and progress further. Lil’ Kraken grew up watching videos of The Great Sasuke and would love nothing more than to surpass the legend. Takato Nakano steps into the ring to fight Yuko Miyamoto. The match seems to be held under normal rules but if Miyamoto wants to make it hardcore, who is going to tell him no? Nakano would take on that challenge if he had to.

No matches announced yet for Abdullah Kobayashi and Hideyoshi Kamitani. They were already announced for the show along with Leo Isaka.

2. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato Vs Gouma Ryu & Banana Senga ended in a No Contest (8:26).
3. 3 Way Match: Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Takato Nakano and Lil’ Kraken when Oosugi pinned Nakano and Kraken with a Gedo Clutch and Inside Cradle (9:38)
4. Isami Kodaka, Minoru Fujita & Masato Kamino defeated FUMA, KUBITO & Fuminori Abe when Kodaka pinned FUMA with a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch Hold (14:24).
5. IRON FIST Tag Team Titles – IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT when Higuchi pinned SAGAT with the Brain Claw Slam (18:09).
*Harimao becomes the 11th IRON FIST Tag Team Champions!

The IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT has been won by Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi! The team representing Harimao across both BASARA and DDT had the disadvantage of wrestling twice on today’s show. They first had to beat Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda in the semi final. Then in the main event Harimao took on the fresh team of Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT, who skipped past the semi-final stage because of a bye. Harimao fought through the challenge and have come out of it not just as the tournament winners but also as the new IRON FIST Tag Team Champions!

Their championship celebration was interrupted by Banana Senga marching down to the ring shouting “Objection!” over and over. He was about to turn the scene into a pro wrestling trial until his tag partner Tsutomu Oosugi showed up and challenged Harimao for the titles at Korakuen Hall on 3rd December. Nakatsu accepted but Higuchi told Speed Of Sounds there is a DDT show happening that same day as part of the D-Ou Grand Prix tour. However he already checked and he does not have a tournament match scheduled for that show so he can do the title match in BASARA. With that all sorted out Nakatsu & Higuchi went ahead and celebrated their victory with the other members of Harimao, Naomi Yoshimura and Yuki Ishida.

Even though Takato Nakano and Lil’ Kraken both lost the 3 Way Match by getting pinned at the same time, they were given good news to look forward to. Gouma Ryu approached them after the match telling them that BASARA wants the two of them to step up. So they are both getting special singles matches on 3rd December in Korakuen. Nakano is going to face Yuko Miyamoto and Kraken is getting a match against The Great Sasuke! Kraken is really happy with the news because he’s watched videos of Sasuke ever since he was a baby squid.

Match #2 begun with Senga acting like he was taking part in a Pro Wrestling Trial because Ryu was with him. Ryu tried to convince him it was a normal tag team match but Senga ignored him and tried to come up with topical jokes instead of wrestling. Ryu lost his temper and attacked everyone like a wild animal. This caused FUMA to come out armed with his hunting rifle and take aim at Ryu, thinking he had turned into a bear. FUMA shot Ryu, the lights went out and when they came back on the ring was empty. The match was ruled a No Contest.

It was revealed at the start of the show that today’s date is the 18th Anniversary of Gouma Ryu’s debut match.

BASARA “BASARA 234 ~UTAGE~”, 24/10/2023
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Isami Kodaka, Minoru Fujita & KUBITO Vs Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Tsutomu Oosugi
2. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Yasu Urano Vs Gouma Ryu Vs Banana Senga
3. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2B: Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT Vs Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka
4. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2A: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato
5. Union MAX Title: FUMA (c) Vs Daiki Shimomura

BASARA announced today that Daiki Shimomura has been suspended from their activities for one year due to inappropriate behavior in regards to his private life. Alongside this, Shimomura is also taking a year long hiatus from pro wrestling in general. The company will not disclose what happened to cause this in order to protect people who have been hurt by the situation. Shimomura was supposed to face FUMA in the main event of next week’s BASARA show but that will obviously be changed. The changed card will be announced as soon as it is decided on.

BASARA “BASARA 235 ~UTAGE~”, 07/11/2023

1. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Semi-Final: Winners Of Match 2A Vs Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda
2. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: X & X Vs X & X

Shimomura is also in the middle of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT with Minoru Fujita as the current IRON FIST Tag Team Champions. The two of them have already reached the semi-final stage and were waiting to face the winners of next week’s Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT Vs Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka match. BASARA has decided to pull Shimomura from the tournament and will instead give the winners of that match a bye straight into the final. I guess the titles will be vacated and then rewarded to the tournament winners too.
