Isami Kodaka won the vacant UWA World Trios Titles with Sento Minzoku a few days ago when Big Japan decided to revive the championships. He is now extra motivated to win the KO-D 6-Man Tag Titles so he can be a Triple Crown champion along with the BJW belts. Together he, Kodaka and Fuminori Abe are called Aiseki Hidakaya.

He will be unable to wrestle during Beer Garden week and has been replaced in the matches already announced. In an unfortunate coincidence Takagi’s cousin Francoise☆Takagi also suffered the same injury during her own activities over the weekend so she cannot wrestle either. She will be replaced by her sister Francoise☆Ihashi but will still be in attendance to support her team.

The following items are allowed to be used in the Natsu Party Death Match: pool rings, float rings, water guns, water balloons and summer related items like watermelons. It’s pretty much a water fight.

“The Gatekeeper From Hell” Demonio Uno will appear on the show. It is an old gimmick from IWA Japan that used to wrestle whenever IWA held shows in Tsurumi and similar venues. Uno had a tag team partner called Demonio Dos and they held the IWA Tag Team Titles together. Only Uno is being advertised for the show.

Natsumi Maki and YUMI will not be on the show due to family related circumstances.

However as per the stipulation from the Osaka match two week’s ago, Hirata is being forced to hitchhike his way from Tokyo to Hiroshima on the day of this show. It is literally a chair fighting another chair. If that’s not enough to get you excited, Pokotan also came up with a backstory. In the year 199X the world has been destroyed by nuclear flames! The sea is dead, the earth has been ripped open and all forms of life have become extinct. But the chairs still live! The two chairs fighting each other come from the same family and have two other brothers. One of them was excommunicated. The eldest chair Zao is the strongest but the third son Zagi will fight it for a final decisive battle! It’s Fist Of The North Star as seen through the eyes of a pro wrestling mascot!

No need to tell the Lego people, it’s already been sorted. This was supposed to be a Lego Block Death Match but was quickly corrected to a Toy Block Death Match. Unfortunately for Shunma Katsumata the exact wording of the match has backfired on him. MAO used to play with concrete blocks from an early age. It was his favorite educational toy and made him the intelligent man he is today. That means concrete blocks are allowed to be used in the match! Katsumata is trying to protest the rules because he only wanted Lego involved. If he can’t change it then he’ll try to get MAO banned from Twitter like Chris Brookes. Either way, MAO’s going to smash him with a brick.

4. Sakisama & Misao defeated Miu Watanabe Vs Raku when Sakisama submitted Raku with the Versailles Foot Choke (11:08).
5. Maki Itoh & Mizuki defeated Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino when Mizuki submitted Aino with a Face Lock (10:31).
6. International Princess Title Japanese Representative Decision 4 Way Match: Natsumi Maki defeated Rika Tatsumi, Yuna Manase and Yuki Kamifuku (13:36).
6a. Natsumi Maki eliminated Yuna Manase with a Cradle (6:40).
6b. Yuki Kamifuku eliminated Rika Tatsumi with a Crucifix Pin (11:49).
6c. Natsumi Maki eliminated Yuki Kamifuku with the Backlash (13:36).

The opportunity to compete for a brand new championship means a lot to Natsumi Maki. So much so that in today’s main event she wore the wrestling gear Kairi Sane gave to her before she went to WWE! The 4 Way Match was held under elimination rules. Yuna Manase was the first to go. She attempted the Suzuki Dynamic but Maki countered it into a Rolling Cradle and Rika Tatsumi assisted with giving Manase a Facecrusher on the way down. Tatsumi was next when Yuki Kamifuku countered the Dragon Twist Of Fate into a Crucifix Pin for the upset. Maki was able to win the match entirely when she pinned Kamifuku with the Backlash. Maki said she’s only been in Tokyo Joshi Pro for half a year but there is a new wind approaching in the form of the International Princess Title. She will be a part of the new wind!

The Itoh Respect Army won today but Maki Itoh dropped a bombshell after the match. They’re splitting up! Itoh announced this to everyone but didn’t tell Mizuki about it until then so she was as surprised as everyone else. Itoh explained that they haven’t been a regular team lately so the unit should no longer exist. Also Mizuki is currently on the road to success from winning the Tokyo Princess Cup while Itoh got eliminated in the 2nd Round so that means they should be rivals. Itoh challenged Mizuki to a match at Korakuen Hall on 25th August. The two shook hands until Itoh gave Mizuki both middle fingers.

Miu Watanabe is getting stronger but she isn’t getting the wins to back her up. How strong? Strong enough to Body Slam Sakisama & Misao at the same time! However Misao put Watanabe in the Ribera Me while Sakisama submitted Raku with the Versailles Foot Choke. Watanabe called out to NEO Biishiki-gun after the match telling them that their actions are not beautiful. Misao called her a weed but Watanabe said no matter what happens to weeds they stand up again and again. She challenged them to a Princess Tag Team Titles match to prove it. Miyu Yamashita came out and told Watanabe she will be her partner. Sakisama said it is her right to choose her challengers and it is not them. They were about to leave when Yamashita asked if Sakisama was scared? Sakisama denied being scared and accepted the challenge.

The opening show announcements were interrupted when Shota came down and handed Sayuri Namba a rose with a message attached to it. The message was a receipt for NEO Biishiki-gun’s new photobook coming out this summer. Azusa Takigawa entered the ring and told Namba she has no memory of working on a photobook even though Azusa Christie appears on the cover. Tetsuya Koda ordered Takigawa to sell the photobooks anyway.

“The Gatekeeper From Hell” Demonio Uno, an old gimmick from IWA Japan, will be on the 4th August show held at a Tsurumi market. That is a very obscure gimmick to bring back.

6. Tokyo Princess Tag Team Titles: Sakisama & Misao (c) defeated Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino when Misao pinned Aino with the Vanitas (14:09).
*V1 for NEO Biishiki-gun.

Nodoka Tenma was able to bite Sakisama again but it didn’t do her team any good in the end. While they were busy fighting outside the ring, Misao got Yuki Aino where she wanted her and got the pin with the Vanitas. Sakisama mocked The Bakuretsu Sisters even more after the match. Until today she was calling them pigs but they’re really just pork on bones. Sakisama’s teasing caught a glare from Miyu Yamashita at ringside which led to the two confronting each other. Yamashita helped the sisters up and left the ring without saying a word.

Mizuki was in danger of losing when she took a Laserbeam Punch from Miu Watanabe and then a Lariat from Mirai Maiumi. But Yuna Manase & Yuki Kamifuku were there to save her. Mizuki turned things around and hit the Diving Foot Stomp for the win.

There is still some beef between Natsumi Maki and Maki Itoh that’s probably never going to go away. Itoh gave Maki the middle finger then her team jumped their opponents at the start of the match.

Today is Mahiro Kiryu’s birthday! Sayuri Nanba got the audience to wish Kiryu a happy birthday during the ring announcements. Rika Tatsumi also gave her a sash that said “Happy Birthday” on it then kicked her to start their match.

3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Semi-Final: Mizuki defeated Natsumi Maki with a Cradle (7:24).
4. Nodoka Tenma, Raku & YUMI defeated Yuki Kamifuku, Himawari Unagi & Makoto Kiryu when Tenma pinned Kiryu with the Killswitch (11:04).
5. Sakisama & Misao defeated Yuki Aino & Mirai Maiumi when Sakisama pinned Maiumi with the Academy Award (10:55).
6. Shoko Nakajima, Rika Tatsumi & Hikari Noa defeated Miyu Yamashita, Maki Itoh & Miu Watanabe when Nakajima pinned Watanabe with the Northern Lights Suplex (14:14).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Final: Mizuki defeated Yuna Manase with the Cutie Special (17:05).

For the first time the Tokyo Princess Cup final was without a trueborn Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestler. Both Mizuki and Yuna Manase are freelancers. In the final Mizuki avoided the Suzuki Dynamic that had worked so well for Manase throughout the tournament. Instead it was Mizuki who had her hand raised when she got the pin with the Cutie Special.

Shoko Nakajima told Mizuki after the match that they will have their TOKYO Princess Title match in Osaka on 1st September. Mizuki will treat the match as a challenge but Nakajima will treat it as a shot at revenge for being eliminated by Mizuki in the 2nd round. When she left Mizuki thanked everyone for their support and she will continue to do her best so everyone can be happy together!

A Cradle reversal is what sent Mizuki to the final over Natsumi Maki. The match got pretty rough early on when both girls gave each other Hair Whips across the ring. Maki said she done it as a calculated move because she wrestles similarly to Mizuki. In her first Tokyo Joshi tournament, Maki feels she has grown amazingly from the wins and even the loss she received.

The semi-finals kicked off with Manase eliminating Yuka Sakazaki in an upset. Manase fought out of a Modified Armlock then stunned Sakazaki with a Rolling Elbow. That gave Manase the opening to give Sakazaki the Suzuki Dynamic. Sakazaki said she wanted to see Mizuki reach the final but was upset she wouldn’t be there with her.

In the 6-Woman Tag Maki Itoh and Hikari Noa kept giving each other the middle finger. Rika Tatsumi tried to put Miyu Yamashita in the Dragon Sleeper but when she couldn’t she was still able to defend herself from Yamashita’s kicks. Miu Watanabe overpowered Shoko Nakajima with the Giant Swing but her attempt at the Tear Drop was countered into a DDT. Nakajima then finished off Watanabe with the Northern Lights Suplex.

At the beginning of the show there was a contract signing between NEO Biishiki-gun and The Bakuretsu Sisters for the Tokyo Princess Tag Team Titles match next week on 13th July. The big story from the signing involved Sakisama & Misao calling Nodoka Tenma a pig causing Tenma to bite Sakisama in the arm! Sakisama fainted but was still able to wrestle later. When NEO Biishiki-gun defeated Yuki Aino & Mirai Maiumi, Tenma came out and bit Sakisama’s arm again!

For some reason Yuki Kamifuku, Himawari Unagi & Makoto Kiryu all wanted to wrestle with YUMI in their trios match.

Pom Harajuku’s shin kicking wasn’t enough to beat Mina Shirakawa. A Backfist and the Implant DDT gave Shirakawa the win.

The next TJPW trainee was introduced to the public. Izumi will have her debut match at the 25th August Korakuen Hall show. Her official ring name and match opponents will be announced at a later date.

Su Yung returns to Tokyo Joshi on 25th August. She will also be at the 1st September Osaka Edion Arena #2 show. She previously wrestled in Tokyo Joshi back in May 2018.

4. Reika Saiki & Rika Tatsumi defeated Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh when Saiki pinned Itoh with the Jackhammer (14:38).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Yuka Sakazaki defeated Miu Watanabe with the Osaekomi Backslide (12:53).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 2: Mizuki defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Diving Foot Stomp (14:32).

The Magical Sugar Rabbits join Natsumi Maki and Yuna Manase in the Tokyo Princess Cup final four. Mizuki won against Shoko Nakajima when she blocked the Diving Senton with her knees. Mizuki then countered the Unmanned Local Train Hold into the Cutie Special for a nearfall and got the pin with the Diving Foot Stomp.

Yuka Sakazaki had a tough time trying to beat Miu Watanabe and almost became the next big upset in the tournament. She got put in the Giant Swing, the Canadian Backbreaker and even took the Tear Drop. Luckily for Sakazaki she landed near the ropes and had enough time to kickout of the pin after she was pulled away. Watanabe went for the Laserbeam strike but Sakazauki dodged it and pinned Watanabe with the Osaekomi Backslide.

The semi-final lottery was held to determine the matches. Mizuki drew Maki and Sakazaki gets Manase. The semi-finals and final take place on 7th July.

Reika Saiki wrestled her last match as a regular for Tokyo Joshi Pro, even scoring the pinfall. Saiki said she feels indebted to Tokyo Joshi for the three years she spent with them. During the match she & Rika Tatsumi did stereo Figure 4 Leg Locks together, Keiji Muto style. Saiki said that although she began in WRESTLE-1 and will always be a part of that company, she grew up here and will continue to work hard in the joshi world. She will get the chance to wrestle in Toyko Joshi again someday.

Yuki Aino took the bullet for her sister Nodoka Tenma during Match #4. Sakisama went to give Tenma a Running PK from the apron but Aino put herself in front of Tenma to keep her out of harm’s way. Tenma was then able to hit a Cross Body on Sakisama from the apron. That didn’t help Raku though since she submitted to Misao moments later. Misao insulted Tenma after the match prompting Aino to defend her again. She said Tenma always protected her because she is strong. Together they are strong too and they can prove it by winning the Tokyo Princess Tag Team Titles! The challenge was accepted but Sakisama told Aino that she can’t do anything without her sister. She pointed her rose towards Aino but Tenma suddenly grabbed the rose and ate it!

Maki Itoh wants to form a tag team with Miyu Yamashita and compete for the Princess Tag Titles. She also confirms that Chris Brookes is now a member of the Itoh Respect Army.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO PRINCESS CUP OPENING ROUND”, 25/05/2019
Kitazawa Town Hall
294 Fans – Super No Vacancy

1. Raku, Mina Shirakawa & Mirai Maiumi defeated Yuna Manase, Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu when Shirakawa pinned Kiryu with the Implant DDT (9:10).
2. Sakisama & Misao defeated Mizuki & YUMI when Sakisama submitted YUMI with the Versailles Foot Choke (11:12).
3. Miyu Yamashita & Reika Saiki defeated Marika Kobashi & Yuki Aino by TKO when Yamashita used the Modified Cobra Clutch on Kobashi (12:52).
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Rika Tatsumi defeated Himawari Unagi with the Missile Hips (7:52).
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Miu Watanabe defeated Nodoka Tenma with the Tear Drop (7:56).
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Natsumi Maki defeated Hikari Noa with a German Suplex (10:15).
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1: Shoko Nakajima defeated Yuki Kamifuku with the Northern Lights Suplex (12:05).

Yuki Kamifuku pulled in Daisuke Kiso to prevent Shoko Nakajima from hitting the Northern Lights Suplex. In the middle of this fracas, Nakajima went for a Dropkick but Kiso took the hit instead of Kamifuku. The absence of a referee gave Kamifuku a chance to win but Nakajima was able to recover. Kamifuku had some fight left when she kicked out of the Northern Lights but one more use of the move eliminated her from the Tokyo Princess Cup. Nakajima admitted this turned into a dangerous match and it is becoming more difficult to win the tournament. She wants to win the Princess Cup while holding the TOKYO Princess Title because it hasn’t been done before.

There were hugs and smiles from Pandemic Boo-Boo after their match so Hikari Noa has no hard feelings over losing to Natsumi Maki. Maki hopes that this will become a meaningful match for Noa.

We only had to wait until the second match for the big upset of the tournament. Miu Watanabe overcame the odds to beat Nodoka Tenma! She escaped from the Killswitch and struck Tenma with the Laser Beam Punch. Watanabe then used a spinning version of the Flapjack called the Tear Drop to get the win. Watanabe wanted to go all out today to make up for missing last year’s Princess Cup.

Well so much for that fan vote. Himawari Unagi was the first woman eliminated from the tournament after a loss to Rika Tatsumi. Unagi feels regret over the result not just for her but also her generation of Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestlers. She thinks this class of five women are the most in-sync amongst the roster so she was representing them just as much as herself. For Tatsumi the win was just what she needed for a confidence boost.

Marika Kobashi was given a harsh looking farewell from Tokyo Joshi when Miyu Yamashita defeated her with the Modified Cobra Clutch. But that was the kind of treatment Kobashi wanted for her final match as a high school student. She thanked Yamashita and Reika Saiki for everything they’ve done for her even though her neck was left feeling sore. When her school exams are done she will prepare her body and mind for her return to Tokyo Joshi.

NEO Bishiiki-gun tried to make Mizuki see their way of life during their tag match. When Misao had YUMI held in a rest hold, Sakisama cut off Mizuki by putting her in a ballroom dance pose like she used to do with Azusa Christie. Mizuki said she hated it and later refused Misao’s request to “build a new world together.” Sakisama said backstage that Mizuki would look good in black and white. She promised to take away the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles from Mizuki as well as her mind and her heart!

It was announced that the music video for “Upper Kick!” by the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) is approaching 10,000 views on Youtube. The Up Up Girls are asking their fans to watch the video 30 times a day so it can surpass that number.

Tokyo Princess Cup 1st Round Matches

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “TOKYO PRINCESS CUP OPENING ROUND”, 25/05/2019
Kitazawa Town Hall

1. Yuna Manase, Pom Harajuku & Mahiro Kiryu Vs Raku, Mina Shirakawa & Mirai Maiumi
2. Miyu Yamashita & Reika Saiki Vs Marika Kobashi & Yuki Aino
3. Sakisama & Misao Vs Mizuki & YUMI
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1D: Rika Tatsumi Vs Himawari Unagi
5. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1C: Nodoka Tenma Vs Miu Watanabe
6. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1B: Natsumi Maki Vs Hikari Noa
7. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1A: Shoko Nakajima Vs Yuki Kamifuku

Shoko Nakajima has a lot she wants to do as the current TOKYO Princess Champion. She already had a successful title defence. Next is winning the Tokyo Princess Cup, a tournament she has had plenty of experience with. She wants to win it as the champion so she can choose her next challenger for Osaka in September. Yuki Kamifuku likes to live happliy and brightly. She promises to do her best so she can have a fun summer.

Pandemic Boo-Boo explodes! The team have been paired together for the first round. Hikari Noa is the only member of the Up Up Girls to have previously competed in the Princess Cup. She said Natsumi Maki is the most difficult person to wrestling in the tournament. Noa admits she probably won’t win but it is still her goal to get the victory no matter who she faces.

Miu Watanabe failed to enter the Princess Cup last year because she lost the qualifier match to Hikari Noa. A lot has changed this year so Watanabe is taking her chance to fight power with power against Nodoka Tenma. Speaking of Tenma, she is aiming to go one step ahead of her performance from last year and reach the final.

Himawari Unagi thanks everyone for voting her into the final spot. The first time she saw pro wrestling was last year’s Princess Cup final where she got to watch really cool and pretty women having amazing fights. She wants to be a part of such matches too. Rika Tatsumi felt she lost more than just a match when she was eliminated in the semi-finals last year. Her injury took place shortly afterwards so she is coming into this tournament feeling dissatisfied about her current situation. The only way she can overcome this is win the Princess Cup!

Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1H: Yuna Manase Vs Yuki Aino
2. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1G: Maki Itoh Vs Raku
3. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1F: Yuka Sakazaki Vs Mina Shirakawa
4. Tokyo Princess Cup – Round 1E: Miyu Yamashita Vs Mizuki

Mizuki has gotten so used to tag team wrestling that the possibility of going on a singles run makes her feel a little uneasy. She won’t have a tag partner to rely on when she faces Miyu Yamashita in the first round. Yamashita needs to regain some momentum after losing her two championships. But the Princess Cup has traditionally been her Achilles heel. It’s the one place where she suffers upset defeats more often than anywhere else.

Mina Shirakawa describes her match with Yuka Sakazaki is a situation similar to Hayabusa Vs Jushin Liger from the 1994 Super J Cup! Sakazaki is gaining attention outside of Japan so Shirakawa sees this as a great opportunity for her.

Raku gets to enter the Princess Cup for the first time. She wasn’t considered for last year’s tournament because she had not won a match by that point. Maki Itoh intimidated a Weekly Pro Wrestling promoter into calling her the favourite to win this year’s tournament.

Yuna Manase is aiming to get past the 1st Round which is something she was unable to do in her previous two attempts. She believes she cannot advance her career if does not advance into at least the 2nd round. Yuki Aino has impressed Manase with her hard work lately and Aino likes to think of her as a kind sister. Aino wants to leave a strong impression on her as she enters the tournament for the first time.

None of the NEO Biishiki-gun members are entering the tournament this year. They are more interested in winning the Tokyo Princess Tag Team Titles. Also Sakisama wants Mizuki to join her collection of wrestlers. Her leadership did wonders for Misao. Imagine what it could do for Mizuki?
