A person from Keisuke Ishii’s past has reappeared for his 40th birthday. Hajime Enshu was part of the same All Japan dojo class Ishii was in almost two decades ago. Ishii quit the dojo and took a new path with DDT but Enshu got to debut and wrestle in AJPW for around half of 2008. He went by the name Hajime Suruga at the time before he vanished from wrestling.

2. 4 Way Match: Daiki Shimomura defeated Daichi Kazato, Yasu Urano and Judomaster when Shimomura pinned Kazato with a Forward Rolling Cradle (8:48).
3. Isami Kodaka defeated KUBITO with the Vertical Drop Brainbuster (11:18).
4. Masahiro Takanashi defeated Ryuichi Sekine with La Magistral Cradle (11:17).
5. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Lil’ Kraken defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT when Kamino pinned SAGAT with the Lariat (17:24).

After the main event Masato Kamino declared himself the next challenger for the Union MAX Title. However several other wrestlers came out and argued one by one that they should get the title shot instead. Rather than have a Battle Royal to determine the No.1 Contender, Kamino came up with the idea of doing a one day tournament on 29th November. Kamino, Ryota Nakatsu, Takato Nakano, Takumi Tsukamoto, Isami Kodaka and FUMA are the six wrestlers taking part. Lil’ Kraken also wanted to get involved but everyone else rejected him.

The second of three shows held in Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR today was a collaboration between the Ganbare☆Joshi division and the women from 666. Well, some of the wrestlers on the 666 side were gender swapped parodies of other wrestlers. In the main event Ram Kaichow, Maya Yukihi & YuuRI fought a gender swapped parody of Ozaki-gun with Onryo as Mayumi Ozaki, Konaka = Pehlwan as Maya Yukihi and Ken Ohka as Yumi Ohka (Ken claims he and Yuki are actually cousins). Also earlier in the show Rina Yamashita had to fight herself as played by Taro Yamada.

There was a tripleshot of shows between Ganbare☆Pro and 666 all taking place in Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR today. The first show was an all men’s event held by GanPro. They put together a mini tournament splitting the roster between wrestlers born in the 1970s, born in the 1980s and those considered to be part of the Heisei generation. Each team won a match on the undercard so the main event was all up for grabs in a 3 Way Match. Yumehito Imanari was the last man standing, ensuring that the 1980s team were crowned the winners. They were rewarded with a 100,000 yen voucher from the noodle restaurant sponsoring the show.

Imanari said the most moving pro wrestling scene to those born in the 1980s was Masahiro Chono and Keiji Muto wrestling each other in the very first G1 final. He does not believe pro wrestling has gone downhill since then but his generation got to watch World Pro-Wrestling and the Nippon TV broadcasts of All Japan matches. That means wrestlers his age all have the desire to recreate the excitement of what they watched back then. With this success Imanari now wants to turn that momentum into winning a championship.

The two wrestlers who are considered the biggest drinkers in DDT will face off in a drunk match. HARASHIMA and Masahiro Takanashi are going to drink each other under the table rather than put each other through one.

Danhausen, Joey Janela and Effy will all be part of the Beer Garden show since they will already be in Japan for the GCW tour. I hear Danhausen is still under AEW contract but both parties have become sick of each other so he gets to do stuff like this away from AEW until his deal runs out.

The GCW only shows on their tour are still going to have DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro talent involved but I’ll save writing about them until the shows take place. I don’t know why they think Broski Jimmy Vs Miyu Yamashita is a good idea but it’s happening.

Meanwhile Yoshiko Hasegawa, Riara, Sayaka Unagi and Momoka Hanazono are facing each other in tag action. 4. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 1: Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA & KUBITO when Shimomura pinned FUMA with the Asai DDT (16:20).
5. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 1: Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when SAGAT pinned Nakano with the Goregrind (13:49).

The remaining 1st Round matches had Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT as well as Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita both advancing. Tsukamoto & SAGAT will meet Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka in Round 2 on 24th October. The winners of that match will face Shimomura & Fujita in the semi-final on 7th November.

Daiki Shimomura challenged FUMA for the Union MAX Title on 24th October.
