1. Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Minoru Fujita & KUBITO when Nakano pinned KUBITO with a Cradle (10:02).
2. Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial: Yasu Urano defeated Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga when Urano pinned Ryu with a School Boy (0:10).
3. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2: Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT defeated Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka when SAGAT pinned Isaka with the Goregrind (12:50).
4. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Round 2: Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Higuchi pinned Kazato (14:58).
5. FUMA Vs Isami Kodaka ended in a Double Knockout (12:29).

The original main event featuring a Union MAX Title defence was cancelled because of Daiki Shimomura’s suspension. Instead FUMA took on Isami Kodaka in a non-title match that was put together on short notice. The match ended in a Double KO when both wrestlers hit their big attacks on each other and neither was able to get back up during the 10 Count. After the match FUMA said he was happy to fight Kodaka and since nobody won he wants to do a rematch at Korakuen Hall on 3rd December, this time with the MAX Title on the line. FUMA wants to become the ace of BASARA and he thinks he needs to beat Kodaka in BASARA’s biggest match to make that dream come true.

The IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT is now down to three teams. Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT have reached the final thanks to a bye. They will face the winners of Ryota Nakatsu & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda. Both matches take place on 7th November. It was confirmed that Shimomura & Minoru Fujita have vacated the IRON FIST Tag Team Titles and the belts will be awarded to the winners of the tournament.

Nakatsu & Higuchi were accompanied by the rest of Harimao for their match. Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida stood by their corner in support.

Gouma Ryu did not feel it was appropriate to have a pro wrestling trial on this show. Banana Senga objected because he did not want to be paid just to do nothing. Urano, who was supposed to be the defendant on trial told Ryu it was important to show the fans that BASARA was running their show as usual with everyone doing their best. They all agreed to do a 3 Way Match and Urano immediately pinned Ryu with a School Boy to win. Ryu promised to do a proper pro wrestling trial the next time.

At the start of the show Kodaka and the rest of the BASARA roster all apologized over the private incident that led to Shimomura’s year long suspension. Kodaka told reporters after the show that the event was saved by the fans and their support.

A few slight changes to the card after what happened yesterday. Hiromu Takahashi is the new Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion so he should be defending the belt against Kazuki Hirata. Takahashi also asked Hirata to come up with special rules for the match.

Takeshi Masada has been taken out of the opening match because he was challenged by Kuroshio TOKYO Japan to a singles bout. Kuroshio heard from Konosuke Takeshita that Masada is really good in the ring so he wants to see it for himself.

The opening match is now a Tag Rumble instead of a 5 Way Tag Match. Yuni has been added to fill in Masada’s spot.

BASARA announced today that Daiki Shimomura has been suspended from their activities for one year due to inappropriate behavior in regards to his private life. Alongside this, Shimomura is also taking a year long hiatus from pro wrestling in general. The company will not disclose what happened to cause this in order to protect people who have been hurt by the situation. Shimomura was supposed to face FUMA in the main event of next week’s BASARA show but that will obviously be changed. The changed card will be announced as soon as it is decided on.

The two of them have already reached the semi-final stage and were waiting to face the winners of next week’s Takumi Tsukamoto & SAGAT Vs Lil’ Kraken & Leo Isaka match. BASARA has decided to pull Shimomura from the tournament and will instead give the winners of that match a bye straight into the final. I guess the titles will be vacated and then rewarded to the tournament winners too.

It’s been confirmed that after this past weekend’s successful defence, Eruption will relinquish the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles on 12th November, the day Akai has her retirement match. Until then Eruption will still be recognized as champions but they have no more title defences scheduled nor are they required to take any more. The AJPW TV 6-Man Tag Team Titles are a separate matter and they are defending those belts in All Japan this weekend.

DDT’s plan for the championship after this is to hold a 1 day tournament a few days later to crown new champions. Teams and other tournament details are currently being decided on.

Originally from Odawara City in Kanagawa, FUMA relocated to Kanra Town in Gunma two years ago as part of a regional revitalization project. One of his hopes over time was to bring a BASARA show over to Kanra Town because the area rarely gets pro wrestling events. Not only did it happen today but FUMA got to do something even more important. After the main event he proposed to his partner in the middle of the ring and she said yes!

Before Yamashita travelled to America she learned who her first challenger for the Princess Of Princess Title will be at the end of this month. Regina is an 8 year veteran from Tuusula, Finland who wrestles for FCF over there. She is 166cm tall and weighs 105kg. Yamashita said she wants to be careful fighting her, especially when she found out Regina is the FCF Finnish Heavyweight Champion and has defeated larger male wrestlers in her reign. This will be their only match together on Regina’s tour of TJPW because Yamashita is in America during her other appearances. All Yamashita can do to prepare is to find videos of Regina’s matches to watch while she is away.

Free WiFi have only just won the Princess Tag Team Titles so they intend not to lose them easily. Their first challengers are Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano. The two of them now have a new team name: Shinken Kusho! In order to prepare for this match Nao Kakuta has done two things. She is starting to make meals in a rice cooker like Miyamoto often does. She also bought the latest FRIDAY magazine because Nagano is in the issue as the centerfold. Hikari Noa asked Nagano to write her new team name on her page in the magazine. Kakuta thinks Free WiFi is the cooler name.

Last year saw the return of DDT’s annual outdoor show at the JR Omori Station. Not only did that show return but so too did the yearly Omori World Title match. Soma Takao defeated Chikara to become the new champion last time but he currently does not have any challenger lined up for this year’s defence. Normally DDT does a Battle Royal on the same show to determine the No. 1 Contender a year in advance but that did not happen last time.

The contracts for the two title matches were signed earlier today. Yumehito Imanari spoke of the pride he felt seeing Shinichiro Tominaga try to beat Isami Kodaka for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title. Tominaga failed but his efforts inspired Imanari to be the next challenger to step in front in Kodaka. Even though Kodaka originally planned for this title reign to be like an invasion he has felt the warmth, fun and brightness of Ganbare☆Pro over time. So when he beat Tominaga it brought him back to reality when he noticed the fans were disappointed with the result. He wants to remain champion in order to keep getting guaranteed bookings from GanPro. His previous memories of Imanari are only from back when Imanari was on the DDT video team. He is confident he will beat him because he cannot envision what kind of pro wrestler Imanari can be.

Hentai Punch Drunkers said they want to win back the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles because they never got to hold onto the physical belts while they were champions. Hikaru Sato said that means you cannot say he and Tyson Maeguchi ever “lost the belts”. It is a loose end that needs to be tied up. In fact, Maeguchi is acting like this is his first ever championship match and believes the title he is fighting for has a lot of history behind it (no and no). Takuya Wada complained that GanPro was too leniant over the decision to book this rematch because Maeguchi hasn’t done anything recently to deserve another chance. Shuichiro Katsumura wants to win in order to prevent the first champion team from ever establishing a connection with the physical title belts. Wada and Maeguchi then almost got into a fight during the group photo and had to be kept apart.

I’m betting that Brookes’ shoulder injury is not bad enough to take him out of “ULTIMATE PARTY 2023” where he is advertised to defend the KO-D Openweight Title against Yuki Ueno. I’m daring fate here.

Despite losing his big match over the weekend, MAO was still encouraged to go his own direction and make a decision that will be best for himself. That quickly sent him down the road to challenging Matt Cardona for the DDT Universal Title. Of course Steph De Lander will be there too by the champion’s side. Maki Itoh had the right idea to try and incapacitate her in order to beat Cardona. Give MAO that battleplan and he will come up with an even crazier way to get that done.

So yeah, Chris Jericho is going to be on the show fighting Konosuke Takeshita. I didn’t expect that. The AEW feud surrounding Don Callis is going to have a chapter over in DDT where Takeshita is establishing himself back into a face for the home fans. I’m among the critics of Jericho who accuse him of constantly positioning himself into AEW angles that take the spotlight away from people who are getting over. But I’ll give it to him here, it’s paying off with a big match for DDT in Sumo Hall.
