0. NO TV Match II: Akito defeated Antonio Honda with the Scorpion Lock (8:39).

5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Soma Takao, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated KUDO, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi when Takao pinned Takanashi with a School Boy (15:22).
*DAMNATION becomes the 35th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
6. Meiko Satomura, Mike Bailey & MAO defeated Shigehiro Irie, Ryan Davidson & Mizuki Watase when Satomura pinned Watase with the Death Valley Bomb (14:13).

Tempers are flaring between Meiko Satomura, Shigehiro Irie and Danshoku Dieno over their Survival 3 Way Match later this month. Dieno spent the entire show as part of the commentary team so he was in Irie’s direct line of sight when Irie came out for the main event. During an out of the ring brawl, Irie crashed into the commentary team with a Cannonball, wiping Dieno out. Back in the ring Satomura got the victory for her team by hitting Mizuki Watase with the Scorpio Rising followed by the Death Valley Bomb. When the match was over Dieno and Irie got into a fight until Satomura yelled at them to bring the fight into the ring. Satomura said she will beat the both of them at Korakuen Hall, no excuses. Dieno can complain about his shoulder injury all he wants. Satomura’s entire body is in pain after her matches but she never lets that hold her back.

An exciting trios match to determine the new KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions was spoiled when Soma Takao blinded Masahiro Takanashi with red mist. A School Boy won the match and the belts for DAMNATION. Afterwards Daisuke Sasaki asked the new champions who they wanted their first defence to be against. Tetsuya Endo told him he wants to put in as weak an effort as possible. Sasaki declared that the challengers will be himself and Nobuhiro Shimatani. We never heard who the third wrestler was because DISASTER BOX interrupted him. HARASHIMA wants his unit to be the challengers. Hisaya Imabayashi didn’t have the power to choose so he left it up to the new DDT Producer Tetsuya Koda to decide. Koda asked DISASTER BOX to figure out which three of them would make up the team. A game of Rock, Paper, Scissors determined that the trio would be Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Yuki Ueno. Koda accepted the trio and announce they will get their title match at Sumo Hall! Imabayashi wondered if it was too early to book the match this far in advance but Koda disagreed. The show is in a month and a half’s time so the card needs to be filling up right now!

Jun Kasai’s beginning of his new stay in DDT began with him renewing his grudge with Daisuke Sasaki. As they were fighting, two revealed they blocked each other on Twitter. Kasai demanded Sasaki to unblock and follow him. Shimatani stole Kasai’s goggles and attempted to give him the Pearl Harbour Splash but Kasai rolled out of the way. Kasai got his goggles back and hit his finisher on Shimatani to win. After the match Kasai almost disqualified himself from the Dramatic General Election because he talked about it inside the ring. It is against the rules to do that. Kasai again demanded Sasaki to unblock him on Twitter and follow his account.

It took a lot of struggle but Kazuki Hirata has been accepted into DISASTER BOX! Hirata wrestled seriously to try and impress the other members but the urge to grab a pair of Hirata GO! glasses could not be ignored. He never got to wear them because Owashi attacked him first. Instead HARASHIMA forced the glasses onto Owashi’s face when he tried to Power Bomb Hirata. That backfired because Owashi’s dancing was too powerful to fight against and he pinned Hirata with La Magistral Cradle. HARASHIMA tried to tell Owashi afterwards that what he did was an accident. Owashi asked Hirata if he will continue to use the glasses in his matches. Hirata honestly admitted he would. To the surprise of everyone, Owashi approved! He explained that these glasses represent the four years Hirata spent with T2Hide and that should never be forgotten. Hirata is in the unit! HARASHIMA started getting ideas of turning DISASTER BOX into more than just a wrestling unit. With Hirata involved they can now be a dancing and theatre group too!

Saki Akai wore new white ring gear for her match with Maki Itoh. Akai also used a familiar looking Gogoplata Foot Choke to win the match. Itoh made the same mistake as Kasai and mentioned the Dramatic Election during her post-match promo inside the ring. She had to have her mouth covered by the referee to stop talking.

Booing 2018 promised a big name for their mystery third member and it turned out to be Sanshiro Takagi! The big name is the Big President! Takagi turned on Gota Ihashi when they were on the verge of beating Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Michael Nakazawa. Takagi broke Ihashi’s pinfall and dropped Nakazawa on top of him with the Spicolli Driver. Takagi explained that every year Booing finishes last in the Dramatic Election and has to disband. This year Takagi is joining Booing 2018 to lift them up from the bottom and make some other unit split up for a change. Nakazawa then went to speak but Takagi kicked him down.

No Gongitsune from Antonio Honda this week. Instead he went all Hiroyoshi Tenzan on Akito by giving him the Tenzan Tombstone Driver and the Anaconda Vice. Akito escaped the submission and made Honda tap to the Scorpion Lock. Tenzan had a hold on one of Honda’s arms for leverage during the move.

Two members of The Compliance faced each other in the first dark match of the evening. It was a low pressure environment but Dieno warned Keisuke Ishii not to take it easy against Makoto Oishi because The Compliance does not accept low effort in their team. Dieno wanted Ishii to treat this match like a game of Fire Pro Wrestling. He also said that Oishi is really good at using the Stunner. Ishii didn’t believe him. During the match Oishi hit the Stunner and also the Miracle Ecstasy but Ishii kicked out. Ishii fought back and hit the High Angle Double Arm DDT to win. Dieno described the finish as Oishi getting Critical’d.

At the beginning of the show Takagi had news to give regarding the DDT Producer spot that Dieno resigned from last month. The Producer will be replaced by a new General Manager. The new GM is an extraordinary man who is witty, expressive and is well familiar with pro wrestling. It’s Tetsuya Koda, the representative of Tokyo Joshi Pro! Hisaya Imabayashi thought he would get the job instead and protested the decision. Takagi told Imabayashi he is still the Assistant Producer. Also Koda beat him in a wrestling match last month and that makes him more qualified.

An announcement was made about the return of the D-Ou Grand Prix tournament. The 2019 edition will in fact be held at the end of 2018 because the winner will get a KO-D Openweight Title shot in the main event of “JUDGEMENT 2019” in February. The round robin will begin on 30th November and the final will be held on 30th December.

5. Special Single Match: Riho defeated Shoko Nakajima with the Somato (11:42).
6. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki defeated Reika Saiki & Maki Itoh when Mizuki pinned Ito with the Cutie Special (15:59).
*The Magical Sugar Rabbits become the 4th TOKYO Princess Tag Team Champions!
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) defeated Yuu with the Crash Rabbit Heat (17:09).
*V5 for Miyu Yamashita.

No amount of chops can stop Miyu Yamashita! At first Yuu had an answer for Yamashita by blocking the Crash Rabbit Heat, hitting plenty of chops at her opponent’s chest and tossing the champion over with a Judo Throw. But Yamashita escaped from the Last Ride and wore down Yuu with many different kicks. Yuu blocked a Buzzsaw Kick but Yamashita tricked her with a feint so she could hit a Backspin Kick right on the button. From there Yamashita was able to hit the Crash Rabbit Heat to earn a 5th successful defence of the TOKYO Princess Title.

The result was something Yamashita wanted to achieve for a long time. When she was the first Princess Champion, she lost the belt to Yuu in Korakuen Hall. That stuck with her until today when she was able to avenge the loss in the same building. Yamashita said she will continue to raise Tokyo Joshi Pro and will defend the title against anyone who challenges her. Priscilla Kelly came out and with Yuki Kamifuku translating for her to mixed results, congratulated the champion for a great match and challenged her to a title match. Yamashita accepted and said she wants the match on 14th October in Fukuoka, her hometown. They shook hands until Kelly licked Yamashita up the arm and left the ring.

An emotional end to the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match saw Mizuki pin Maki Itoh but not before Itoh put everything into trying to win and collapsing in the process. Itoh even did her own Diving Foot Stomp to her now possibly former Itoh Respect Army member. Things look bleak for the Magical Sugar Rabbits when Itoh & Reika Saiki put them both in Crab Holds in the centre of the ring. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki persevered be grabbing each other by the hand and crawling together towards the ropes. Itoh missed a Diving Big Head which allowed Sakazaki to hit the Magical Girl Splash and Mizuki to follow it up with her Diving Foot Stomp. Itoh eventually got up looking to trade blows with Mizuki but she collapsed from exhaustion. She was still able to kick out of a pin but she was done when she ran into the Cutie Special. After the match Itoh had a staredown with Mizuki and left the ring so Mizuki could celebrate her first championship win in Tokyo Joshi with Sakazaki.

Riho bested Shoko Nakajima in the battle between the 619s. Nakajima got a nearfall with the Northern Lights Suplex but missed the Diving Senton. Riho capitalised by hitting the Somato to grab the victory.

Azusa Takigawa’s final match at Korakuen Hall was also Saki Akai’s first Tokyo Joshi match as herself in the same venue. Takigawa tried to motivate herself when she was in a troubled spot by telling everyone she cannot lose if she wants to get signed by Akai’s agency. She gave Akai the Christie Agape and pinned her Azusa Christie style but only got a two count. Akai recovered and hit the Rookie Award for the victory. She praised Takigawa for putting up a good fight. In a backstage interview Akai was told that she resembles a certain French girl who wrestled in Tokyo Joshi recently. Akai isn’t interested in her although she’s been told they look alike.

Hyper Misao’s crafty plan for her match against Priscilla Kelly was to bring in Shota to falsely translate her welcome message for Kelly. Misao told the audience that Kelly does not understand Japanese so she will tell them about her plan. Shota told Kelly in English that Misao wanted a clean fight. Misao also said she expects Kelly will lick her face so she rubbed wasabi on her mask before the match. Kelly briefly fainted when she licked the mask but she recovered in time to continue fighting. Misao took out a tube of wasabi paste but Kelly grabbed it off her and squeezed out the wasabi into Misao’s mouth while she was in a Dragon Sleeper. Priscilla won the match with a Cross Arm Neckbreaker Drop from the turnbuckles.

A new name, a new look, a new song and a new finishing move for Nodoka Tenma. She now uses the Killswitch to win her matches. She described today as the beginning of her second season. Chapter one was Nodoka-oneesan, Chapter two is Nodoka Tenma. She is certain both will be remembered as masterpieces!

Yukinori Matsui officiated an Up Up Girls match for the first time so he was confused by their antics like when Raku did the Good Night Express sit down on Miu. The end came with Miu giving Raku a Canadian Backbreaker Drop while Hikari hit a Missile Dropkick to Hinano. Hikari then made Hinano submit to a grounded Cobra Twist. This was the Up Up Girls’ first match in Korakuen since their debut back in January. Hikari took the losing fall in that match so she got to experience the opposite side in the same place today!

Azusa Takigawa To Graduate, Sakisama Leaving For Paris

4. Azusa Takigawa Vs Saki Akai
5. Special Single Match: Shoko Nakajima Vs Riho
6. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Reika Saiki & Maki Itoh
7. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Yuu

More sad news coming out of Tokyo Joshi Pro in the lead-up to their next Korakuen Hall show. Azusa Takigawa has announced she will graduate from Tokyo Joshi later this year with her final match taking place on 27th October. This had been planned for around a year with Takigawa consulting with management over the decision. Talks went away when Takigawa was brainwashed by NEO Biishiki-gun and transformed into Azusa Christie. But with her persona back to normal and her memories returned, she is sticking with her plan to graduate this year. For her final appearance in Korakuen Hall, Takigawa wanted to fight Saki Akai. When Takigawa visited Tetsuya Koda in late 2014 to join Tokyo Joshi it happened around the same time when Akai won the Best Rookie category in the Tokyo Sports Awards. Takigawa was worried about entering wrestling when she was given the article about Akai winning the award. What Takigawa saw was a beautiful person working so hard on pro wrestling and she admired Akai ever since. Akai has spent all this time working for DDT instead of Tokyo Joshi so Takigawa never got the chance to wrestle her until now. Since Akai has a modelling contract with Oscar Promotion, Takigawa hopes that if she wins the match she can use Akai’s connection to get signed to the agency as a caster or reporter. She’s been working hard for the last three years so she believes she has the power to make her dream come true! While Akai has been absent from Tokyo Joshi for a long time, she’s still been paying attention to the brand and has watched Takigawa grow. She thinks Takigawa is showing great courage to graduate at this time.

That isn’t the only absence in the roster coming up. Sakisama next gave everyone the news that she will be returning to Paris after the 18th August show and will no longer be wrestling for Tokyo Joshi, for a while at least. Sakisama was already planning to leave with the rest of NEO Biishiki-gun earlier this month but she decided to stay behind for a little bit for a personal reason. She has an eye out for her upcoming opponent Hikari. She called her the “Blue Fruit” of the Up Up Girls and she wants to squeeze all the juice out of her before she leaves for Paris. Sakisama said it was inspiring to see Azusa Christie wrestle against her at the Beer Garden show. Before Christie was too dependent on her like a child but Sakisama got to see her change as they fought each other. Plus it was even a little fun, Sakisama admits.

The two teams in the TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles match have signed the contract to make it official. Mizuki said she has twice tried to win the belts with Maki Itoh for Maki Itoh. This time she has the chance to win it for herself so she doesn’t want to miss that opportunity. Yuka Sakazaki wants revenge on Reika Saiki for losing the TOKYO Princess Title to her last year. Saiki has come around on the idea of teaming with Itoh for the match. She thinks having Itoh as her partner raises her chances of regaining the titles she never lost. Itoh describes her feelings about Mizuki joining another team being like finding out a boyfriend has found another woman. However she can use this disappointment as motivation to win the championships. Even if she fails it will be valuable experience.

16. King Of DDT 2018 – Round 1: Kazuki Hirata defeated Naomi Yoshimura with a Power Bomb Switchback (8:59).

The biggest King Of DDT tournament ever kicked off with 16 1st Round matches in one evening. Kazuki Hirata scored an upset win in the main event by beating Naomi Yoshimura. He countered Yoshimura’s Shonenba into a DDT then turned the Throwaway Power Bomb into a Cradle for the three count. Hirata called Yoshimura scary but Hirata has fought wrestlers like Yukio Sakaguchi who are 100 times more scary. Hirata got to dance to “TOKYO GO!” in full to celebrate his victory.

Today’s show aired on AbemaTV in place of the usual “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” episode that takes place on Tuesdays. That meant everybody was treated to the recurring Kazusada Higuchi table spot! Higuchi and Tomomitsu Matsunaga brawled around the room and had a chop battle on one of the Shinjuku FACE bar counters. A table was positioned below and Higuchi tried to Power Bomb Matsunaga through it. Instead Matsunaga Back Body Dropped Higuchi into the table. Matsunaga came close to victory with the Back Drop but Higuchi recovered and got the win with the Doctor Bomb. Higuchi thanked Matsunaga for handling his all of the power he gained from sumo today. He asked to shake Matsunaga’s hand but Matsunaga wanted them to drink beer instead.

Saki Akai came real close to beating her friend Masahiro Takanashi but a rollover ended her chances. Akai hit Takanashi with the Rookie Award making an upset win seemed certain. When Akai went on top of Takanashi for the pin and leaned over to hook the leg, Takanashi trapped Akai in a Crucifix and rolled her onto her shoulders for the flash three count. Akai is the first woman to ever compete in King Of DDT. She originally thought she was never included because she was the only active female wrestler on the roster but now there are more women appearing in DDT she realises that is a bad excuse on her part.

Sanshiro Takagi and MAO used their match to prepare for DDT’s return of Campsite Pro Wrestling later this year. The two are becoming rivals over the new generation of Street Wrestling clashing with the old. Takagi brought out boxes of stuff to use as weapons while MAO appeared equipped to the gills with his own homemade weapons. Takagi convinced Yukinori Matsui to allow the weapon usage because of the 5 Count Rule. MAO also encouraged a lot of outside fighting away from the ring because he promised Matsui they would return to the ring at the 19 count. Lawn tables were smashed, plastic boxes were destroyed and bicycles were crashed around the room as the match progressed. The end came when MAO countered Takagi’s Sit Down Himawari Bomb into a Rolling Cradle for the pin. After the match a surprised Takagi realised how big of a mess they caused and worried about how long the AbemaTV broadcast will be delayed so the ring could be cleaned up. Takagi thanked MAO for the match and asked for a handshake but it was a ruse so Takagi could give him the Stunner. He told MAO that the Campsite Pro Wrestling show on 2nd September will be the deciding battle between them! MAO said Takagi is older than his mother but he is excited to see the scary Sanshiro Takagi coming back.

HARASHIMA praised Mad Paulie for a tough match. He squeezed Paulie’s hand while telling him how much fun he had with the challenge. Now HARASHIMA is looking forward to facing Toru Owashi in the 2nd Round because it is a Disaster-BOX reunion. When Owashi beat Mizuki Watase the match before (with the Diving Body Press he hasn’t done in years), Owashi simply said “HARASHIMA, I’m waiting” on the microphone.

The show opened up with an unexpected result when Akito defeated KUDO. Akito ducked the Buzzsaw Kick and put KUDO in an Anklelock. Akito then positioned himself on top of KUDO and pinned him for three. Akito said KUDO can now spend his time concentrating on his restaurant.

The 2nd Round matches on 4th August are Akito Vs Keisuke Ishii, Mike Bailey Vs Shunma Katsumata, Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Soma Takao, Toru Owashi Vs HARASHIMA, MAO Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Antonio Honda Vs Daisuke Sasaki and Tanomusaku Toba Vs Kazuki Hirata.

Konosuke Takeshita greeted the audience at the start of the show. He revealed he dislocated his right shoulder at the Fukuyama show last Saturday and will be taking time off to recover. He does not need to go under surgery so he hopes to return in two to three months time. As a result of this the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles held by ALL OUT have been vacated.

6. KUDO, HARASHIMA & Ken Ohka defeated Takashi Sasaki, GENTARO & Tanomusaku Toba when KUDO pinned Toba with the Diving Double Knee Drop (11:59).
7. Isami Kodaka defeated Masahiro Takanashi with the Isamuashi Zan (27:11).

Even though this show was put together to celebrate Masahiro Takanashi’s 15th anniversary in wrestling, he only appeared for the main event match against Isami Kodaka. He never came out at the start of the show, instead nominating Sayaka Obihiro to give the opening speech. After the main event, he bowed in the centre of the ring to every side of the building then made his exit. KUDO and Yukio Sakaguchi closed out the show with a speech on his behalf. He didn’t stick around for any backstage interviews either. Kodaka said that the generation that he and Takanashi are a part of still need to step up against the younger wrestlers.

There was a nostalgic theme to the show with a lot of former DDT wrestlers showing up. Takashi Sasaki, GENTARO & Tanomusaku Toba were the mystery trio taking on KUDO, HARASHIMA & Ken Ohka. Everyone shook hands with each other after the match, but slapped Ken Ohka when he tried to shake them.

The UMA Corps targeted Saki Akai earlier in the week by sending one of their monsters to stalk her. Today she got to face off against the Chupacabra as part of a colourful 10-Man Tag Match also featuring the returns of T2Hide, Gota Ihashi, the Brahman BrothersGorgeous Matsuno and Emi Sakura. Ihashi wanted to protect Akai but the other team easily beat him up. Kazuki Hirata brought back the Hirata GO! glasses and danced to his music. The song annoyed the Brahman Brothers because it brought back bad memories from their Toryumon lives. Brahman Shu threw a briefcase at Akai but she ducked and it hit Chupacabra instead. Akai then pinned Chupacabra with a Diving Body Press. The Brahmans fled after the match but the UMA leader Miyako Haru warned Akai that the UMA are everywhere like a black shadow. Hirata interrupted her by giving Hirata GO! glasses to everyone and they all danced.

Both MAO and DJ Nira kept putting Daisuke Kiso in harm’s way. They kept blaming each other until Kiso took one bump too many and called off the match for his own safety.

The Tag Gauntlet had plenty on offer. Makoto Oishi & Cherry were ambushed by Antonio Honda & Riho at the start. Riho later saved Honda from getting pinned by hitting Oishi with the Somato, rolling Honda back on top for the three count. Konosuke Takeshita did not hesitate to fight Riho one on one. Honda & Riho hit each other with Bionic Elbows when Yasu Urano dodged them. Urano then threw Honda out of the ring to eliminated that team. Takeshita tried to use Rekka’s Nishinari Elbow against him but missed. Takeshita was able to pin him with a Lariat afterwards. The mystery team were revealed to be Danshoku Dieno & Yoshihiko with Yusuke Inokuma as Yoshihiko’s holder. Inokuma threw Yoshihiko at Takeshita to knock him off the apron and eliminate his team. Dieno & Yoshihiko were then eliminated by Akito & Shunma Katsumata when Inakuma got tangled up in Yoshihiko’s string and accidentally hung himself over the ropes while Katsumata gave Yoshihiko a Piledriver. Rather than count the pin, Yukinori Matsui immediately eliminated Dieno & Yoshihiko to save Inokuma. Hoshitango & Kazusada Higuchi entered in sumo gear and quickly beat ALL OUT. Tomomitsu Matsunaga & Keisuke Ishii were the final entry but they lost out to the sumo team.

Saki Akai was pitted against her rival Yoshiko for her return to Kyoto. When they weren’t paired together inside the ring, Yoshiko joined in with Antonio Honda’s schtick by doing the Bionic Elbow with him and putting Yukio Sakaguchi in a chokehold while he had Honda in a chokehold. Sakaguchi pinned Honda to win the match but he gave the end of show spotlight to Akai because according to him, she was the leading role today. Akai thanked everyone for coming and promised to give it her all for DDT and Kyoto.

HARASHIMA already knows that Shigehiro Irie is very strong. But today he discovered that Irie has become faster too since they last fought each other. HARASHIMA hopes he can be in full condition for Irie when the KO-D Openweight Title match is held on 22nd July.

A determined Nobuhiro Shimatani declared that today, the 30th June is the beginning of his rebellion! He then lost to Danshoku Dieno. Shimatani refused to shake Dieno’s hand after the match and tried to convince everyone again that his rebellion begins today.

Even though he was on the losing team today, MAO thinks he is on the right track towards the KO-D Tag Team Titles. All he is trying to do right now is put pressure on Tetsuya Endo. The new tag champion isn’t convinced. Endo said he and Mad Paulie won the titles from Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi so what chance do MAO & Mike Bailey have?

Konosuke Takeshita is the latest victim of the Timo Timo Timo Dragons cheating, although he almost avoided it. He didn’t fall for Hiratimo Dragon’s attempt to frame him for unmasking him. However the mask accidentally slipped off when Takeshita tried to do a Brainbuster so he was DQ’ed for that. After the match Takeshita told the rest of ALL OUT that he is now concerned. If they can’t beat the Dragons then how can they beat the Sendai Girls? Suddenly Sanshiro Takagi came out. He said he was watching the match from backstage (wearing blue tights for some reason) and he wants to help ALL OUT prepare for their KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence. ALL OUT’s problem is they aren’t used to wrestling against joshi. Takagi’s solution is to give ALL OUT a tune up match against the returning T2HiJoshi! It was then brought up that every member of ALL OUT has a female cousin that could wrestle in the match. So on 22nd July we will see the debuts of Keiko Takeshita Jr., Akiko & Carousel❤Shun, the ALL OUT Joshi!

5. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Way Match: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Soma Takao Vs Daisuke Sasaki
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Shigehiro Irie (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi

It’s been a month since he won it but Shigehiro Irie is ready for his first KO-D Openweight Title defence. Kazusada Higuchi has been a thorn in his side in the build up to this match. Power Vs Power is to be expected here but some words from Higuchi suggests that something more will be needed to determine who wins.

How much can you take DAMNATION at their word? They promise not to cheat or interfere in the DDT Extreme Title Match for the sake of sportsmanship but other than that there hasn’t really been anything else put in place to enforce the stipulation.

KUDO is celebrating 15 years of being a pro wrestler but everyone else involved in the match have their own accomplishments from 15 years ago to celebrate from company debuts to tournament wins.

DDT’s website has given a run down on Sammy Guevara in preparation for his debut. He’s being put in the ring against Mike Bailey because he might go through the same road Bailey has been on during his DDT career so far. Guevara’s nickname of “The Best Ever” has DDT wondering if he can prove it. Whatever happens, this could be the start of a new Japanese dream for a foreign wrestler. I think they have high hopes for this lad.

-. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Makoto Oishi defeated Saki Akai (c) by Pinfall (8:34 pm).
*Makoto Oishi becomes the 1,314th champion.

For almost 30 minutes both Konosuke Takeshita and Antonio Honda fought their hearts out in front of the Osaka crowd. The main event was a Happy Motels reunion with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and Yasu Urano accompanying Honda to the ring while Takeshita came out to the Happy Motels entrance theme. Honda acted sentimental when he did his “Gon, The Little Fox” spot, telling Takeshita and the others that if this becomes his last match he does not want it to end. Honda then poked Takeshita in the eyes and hit a Topé Suicida after Takeshita rolled out of the ring to recover. Honda threw many punches and Bionic Elbows to combat against Takeshita’s Lariats. When Takeshita countered a Sleeper Hold into a Blue Thunder Bomb 25 minutes in the match it was clear that both were tired. They narrowly avoided a double countout and continued hitting their big moves until the match devolved into duelling Bionic Elbows. The ended in another double knockdown with Yukinori Matsui beginning to count both of them out again. Takeshita made it to his feet in time but Honda couldn’t. That was enough for Matsui to end the match and declare Takeshita the winner by KO. After the match Takeshita talked about going to see his brother’s high school soccer game earlier in the day. It made him think about his own high school days and he realised he spent all of his time outside of school with wrestlers like Honda, Urano and Hiroshi. That time of his life was a happy won because he was wrestling in Happy Motels. There was only one thing about it he didn’t like and that was never getting the chance to wrestle a meaningful match with Honda. He got that today. Honda thanked Takeshita for the match and said he was glad to wrestle him for 30 minutes today.

Shigehiro Irie Vs Magnitude Kishiwada immediately started with a ringside brawl. Kishiwada attacked Irie with a chair, targeting Irie’s arms whenever he could. Kishiwada continued the heavy attacks by doing the Last Ride and the Diving Body Press plus more chairshots. Irie fought back with a Death Valley Bomb as well as Beast Bombers to counter Kishiwada’s Lariats. The Beast Bombers as well as the Cannonball Drop wore down Kishiwada until one more Beast Bomber kept him down for the three count. After the match Irie said he wanted to become a pro wrestler after watching figures like Kishiwada and Kengo Takai compete all over Osaka. Irie not only achieved his dream but he is also now the KO-D Openweight Champion. However, Irie is still not satisfied. There are still many things he must learn to become stronger and stronger. Irie asked Kishiwada to plese fight him again some day. Kishiwada told him they had a good match today and he shook his hand. He then told Irie to defend the KO-D Title many times so he can become Osaka’s strongest wrestler!

Kikutaro, Kuishinbo Kamen and Super Sasadango Machine all found ways to get Matsui involved in their match. Sasadango had Kamen pinned after a Diving Knee Drop but Kikutaro grabbed Sasadango’s leg and applied a Crab Hold to make him submit.

Naomi Yoshimura said he experienced a similar feeling from wrestling Dick Togo to the one he got when he wrestled Akebono.

The usual unmasking tricks by Hiratimo Dragon made Yuni cry when he was disqualified for it. Makoto Oishi tried to cheer him up but it was a trap! Yuni caught him in a Small Package and pinned him to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. Later at the end of the show Saki Akai encouraged Yuni to join her in the ring to say goodbye to the fans. That too was a trap for Akai to win the belt from Yuni. Oishi came back out, pinned Akai to take back the title and ran off. The show then closed with Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi singing to the audience.

Turns out Akito’s recovery time was a short one. He was back in action competing in the opener and even got the winning pinfall. He made fun of Shunma Katsumata for only signing up for the standard membership at Gold’s Gym instead of the Master membership. While Katsumata is preparing to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles, Akito personally wants to challenge for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

Matsui wanted to give out the opening announcements but Hisaya Imabayashi wouldn’t let him. Yuki Iino was ordered to hold Matsui back in the corner while Imabayashi finished the segment.

By day the Tokyo Toshimaen is an amusement park full of fun and games. But at night it transforms into a secret battlefield designed to train warriors. Today DDT made use of the park to determine Japan’s national team for the Fighting World Cup, a mysterious global competition that is held every four years. Teams made up of two men and one woman would fight each other in battles to the death throughout the night. Danshoku Dieno arrived at the park with his selection of troops: Raiden (Choun-Shiryu), Makoto Oishi, Konosuke Takeshita, Shunma Katsumata, Cherry and Cassandra Miyagi. It didn’t take long for their first set of opponents to appear.

The first bout was Oishi, Raiden & Miyagi against HARASHIMA, Gota Ihashi & Makoto. When the girls fought each other Makoto would intentionally use moves on Cassandra that allowed her to do sexy poses in the process. Cassandra then challenged Makoto to a race. She would sit on a cart pushed by Raiden while Makoto found a bike to cycle on. Makoto won. HARASHIMA appeared with traffic cones over his arms that he used to Lariat his opponents. He ran from a long distance over to Oishi to give him the Somato but Oishi moved out of the way. HARASHIMA hit Ihashi instead by accident and Oishi pinned Ihashi to win the match. Dieno’s group past their first trial but not without casualties. Both Raiden and Miyagi died from their injuries after the match.

Dieno’s group advanced to the plaza. Waiting for them were Mike Bailey, MAO & Tsukasa Fujimoto all standing in hero poses. Dieno sent Takeshita, Katsumata & Cherry to fight them. Bailey and Katsumata fought their way over to a pond allegedly filled with sulphuric acid. Katsumata fell into it when he missed a flying kick and was never seen again. The fighting moved back towards the plaza stage where Takeshita found himself in a 3 on 1 situation. However he was able to fight against the odds and he pinned MAO with a Veritcal Drop Brainbuster. Again the damage dealt to Dieno’s side during the battle proved to be too much and Takeshita collapsed. His final words to his friends before losing consciousness were “Muscle is justice!”

There was no time to mourn because Kazusada Higuchi, Tanomusaku Toba & Misaki Ohata were next to challenge our heroes. Dieno began to panic because there were no more women left on his team to fight for him. The cavalry of Yukio Sakaguchi, Masahiro Takanashi & Saki Akai arrived in a truck just in time to fight Higuchi, Toba & Ohata. The battle was horrific to see as the savage warriors took to the rides and had the time of their lives… Anyway when they were done sampling the fun of the park they went back to fighting. Takanashi lured Higuchi and Toba onto the truck’s loading platform and ordered Sakaguchi to raise it. Sakaguchi did so and the fighters slid off as the platform tilted over. Akai climbed the truck and dove onto everyone below. She stayed on top of both Higuchi and Toba to pin them.

The dust settled but Sakaguchi didn’t. In a rage of bloodlust, Sakaguchi grabbed a sledgehammer and threatened to kill Ohata with it. Suddenly Makoto Oishi stepped in between them. He pleaded with Sakaguchi to spare her because they are dating! Oishi then turned to Ohata and placed a metal nut on her finger. “Misaki-san, please marry me!” Ohata punched Oishi. Sakaguchi got back into the truck and drove towards Ohata but Oishi jumped in front of the truck! “I’m dying! I love you! I will make you happy!” were Oishi’s words to Ohata afterwards. Ohata accepted Oishi’s proposal and they got on the truck to go get married!

Back to the death battles. Akai decided to stay and help Dieno’s team but an arrow from out of nowhere struck her in the head and killed her. Once again Dieno was without enough warriors to continue until King Otono (Choun-Shiryu again) and Space Warrior Galaxy Sophia (Cherry) appeared along with a revived Takeshita. They approached the park square where they found DAMNATION hanging out. Daisuke Sasaki was making out with Asuka while the others were just minding their own business until they saw Dieno’s team stepping into their territory. Tetsuya Endo, Mad Paulie & Asuka decided to fight them while Dieno, Sasaki and Soma Takao went over to enjoy a rollercoaster. Paulie perched himself on a bench so both Endo and Asuka could do Moonsaults off of him until Takeshita hit him with a Knee Strike. Takeshita then put Paulie through a table with a Diving Body Press from a Ladder. That ended the match but the damage took its toll again. Takeshita was left clutching his knee while screaming “Muscle is justice!” over to Dieno.

And so Dieno approached the final area for one more battle but he was alone. All of his friends and allies were either slain or on their honeymoon. Luckily for him Isami Kodaka appeared with a resurrected Cassandra Miyagi. Both were willing to help Dieno so they could take part in an exciting battle. Waiting for them were Sanshiro Takagi & Ippanjin Munenori Sawa. Behind them was the massive Flying Pirate ride and standing right there inside it was Meiko Satomura. The two sides fought until Kodaka asked if he could go on the Flying Pirate ride. They all agreed and went on the ride. Some of them felt sick after the ride but were encouraged by the crowd to go on it a second time. This is why the match lasted half an hour!

They eventually got back to fighting. Takagi, Sawa & Satomura climbed a bench to attempt the Sendai Golden Shower but Miyagi cut them off. Dieno positioned himself for the Hell Gate and Miyagi threw both Takagi and Sawa into it. She tried to do the same to Satomura but it was countered and Satomura threw Miyagi into Dieno’s backside. Kodaka climbed a ladder and hit the Giga Ladder Break Diving Double Knee Drop on Takagi. The wrestlers found a merry-go-round and went for a ride on that. They had a lot more fun on that than on the Flying Pirate ship. When they got off Takagi gave Dieno the Stunner, Sawa gave Dieno the Shining Wizard and Satomura gave Dieno the Scorpio Rising for the three count.

The challenge is over and Japan’s team has been decided. Team Hentai Sendai Big Boss are Japan’s strongest warriors! A signboard used as a symbol of real power was given to them but suddenly Satomura attacked Takagi & Sawa! She takes the signboard from them and calls the other women to join her side. Toshimaen belongs to them! Dieno collapsed in shock as the show was completed.

Satomura said she had fun doing street wrestling for the first time. It was dangerous but she enjoyed it and learned how any location can become a battlefield. She wants to fight in DDT and appear on AbemaTV more, it doesn’t matter if it to wrestle against men or women. Hisaya Imabayashi heard her and came up with an idea. He invited her to the 29th May episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” so she can compete in the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Rumble. Satomura agreed. She later expressed interest in also having a match against Isami Kodaka.

6. Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Mike Bailey & MAO when Sekimoto pinned Bailey with a Lariat (17:07).

The main event match had to be changed because of Yuki Ueno’s injury. With him missing the show, he and Kota Umeda were no longer able to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles so the match was cancelled entirely. Instead Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi were given a non-title match against Mike Bailey & MAO. A table was taken from the stage and brought into the ring. Bailey went to do the Ultima Weapon to Higuchi on the table but Higuchi moved out of the way. Higuchi kept MAO away while Sekimoto went to finish off Bailey. The German Suplex was kicked out of but Sekimoto won the match with a Lariat afterwards. Higuchi told Bailey & MAO that he and Sekimoto will always be ready to defend the Tag Titles against anyone. Hisaya Imabayashi told the champions that their next defence is scheduled to 5th June. They asked for challengers and ALL OUT appeared. Higuchi approved of getting to fight Konosuke Takeshita but he doesn’t think Shunma Katsumata is qualified enough to be in the match. Katsumata said he knows the strategy to beat the champions but Takeshita cut him off and said he needed muscles too. He told Katsumata to go get a Gold’s Gym membership and spend the next two weeks working out so he can be ready for the title match.

Soma Takao again gave HARASHIMA a Low Blow during their match. Masahiro Takanashi almost had Takao pinned but Takao countered it into the Gin And Tonic to get DAMNATION the win. HARASHIMA challenged Takao to another singles match but Takao refused to say anything. Daisuke Sasaki spoke on his behalf and told HARASHIMA he already lost to Takao. He then went down on his hands and knees and mockingly asked HARASHIMA for forgiveness. Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie stopped Sasaki and picked him back up. HARASHIMA sweetened the deal by putting the DDT Extreme Title on the line. Takao still kept quiet so HARASHIMA said he would even let him pick the match stipulation. If it involves chairshots and low blows then HARASHIMA will be more than happy to beat him that way. Takao continued to be mute but Sasaki accepted the offer. He promised Takao that he will pick the best rules for DAMNATION.

As part of last week’s stipulation, Makoto Oishi had to change his hair to the perm hairstyle. Danshoku Dieno joked that Oishi was now Punch Oishi. He was kind of proven right when a hard punch from Oishi to Kouki Iwasaki was the set up to Oishi winning the match. Oishi thanked everyone for seeing his perm hairstyle for the first and last time. However he was then told that AbemaTV held another viewer vote during the match. The choices were either keep the perm, get a reverse mohawk, shave his head or shave his eyebrows. The fans voted and next week Oishi has to get a reverse mohawk!

When ALL OUT faced Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase, Katsumata recovered from a Double Stomp Fire Thunder combo thanks to Takeshita breaking the pin. Katsumata stunned Watase with a Thrust Kick then used a Swan Dive X Factor to get him in position for a new finisher. The Moonsault Foot Stomp got ALL OUT a big win and in part sets up their KO-D Tag Title shot.

The “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” return of the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title brought along the usual mayhem surrounding the belt. The defending champion Saki Akai started off the Rumble with Maki Itoh but she was quickly pinned by the third entrant Nobuhiro Shimatani. He brought in a chair to defend himself but Antonio Honda, Maki Itoh and Toru Owashi all piled up on top of him for the three count. Since the chair was being pressed down on Shimatani during the pin, Yukinori Matsui ruled that the Chair was now the champion! The eliminations continued until Honda and the Chair were the last two left. Honda hit the Chair with a Bionic Elbow and pinned it to win the title. Shimatani attacked Honda with the chair after the match and the guest commentator Kumiko Funayama tried but failed to pin Honda. Itoh then snuck up on Honda and won the belt with a School Boy. An hour later Shimatani chased Itoh back into the ring with the chair. Akai came over too and kicked Itoh with a Big Boot. That was when Oishi showed up and stole the pin. His celebration stopped when the room went dark. The lights came on and Yoshihiko was perched on Oishi’s shoulders! Yoshihiko gave Oishi a DDT but Oishi’s perm cushioned the blow and he was able to kick out of the pin. He grabbed Yoshihiko by the neck and told it that they will fight for the Iron Man Title next week!

The changes in the main event meant that Bailey and Umeda changed places. Umeda was moved to a singles match against Jason Kincaid.
