Isami Kodaka refused to take the loss in the main event and acted like the result was a fluke. Yasu Urano gladly told Kodaka that his team lost. Takato Nakano was also thrilled. Not only did he just win his first championship but he got it by pinning his generational rival Daiki Shimomura.

Kodaka announced that this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT will take place in October. BASARA will be holding two shows in one day at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR. Kodaka wants the opening rounds to take place on those shows The semi-finals and final will be held at BASARA’s monthly Banquet show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING.

The Iron Family won their special match series today two matches to one. After SAGAT won his match he described it as momentum going into his Union MAX Title shot.

Daichi Kazato wore the Best Stretchman V3 hood whenever he needed a boost. But Yusuke Kubo pulled it off while he applied Bull Nakano’s old submission hold the Bull’s Angelito. Without the extra power aiding him, Kazato gave up.

A few injuries during the week alters tomorrow’s card. The light one is Sanshiro Takagi. He injured his right eye and is missing this show. He will be getting it further examined next week but hopes to be clear for Masahiro Takanashi’s show on the 15th. Gorgeous Matsuno took it upon himself to replace Takagi in Match #2.

The bad injury happened to Kazusada Higuchi during yesterday’s “UNIVERSE.1” show. He tore his right PCL and has no timetable for a return. He does not need surgery and will be aiming to recover as soon as possible. Ryota Nakatsu takes Higuchi’s place in Match #3.

With the new 2nd Gen belt over her shoulder, Shoko Nakajima is now even more motivated to defend the Princess Title. Ever since Misao shed her superhero persona and joined NEO Biishiki-gun she has gone from strength to strength.

I wonder if Sakisama holds a grudge with Yuki Kamifuku over her attempt to join NEO Biishiki-gun last year? Kamifuku joined the unit as an apprentice last May then quit after two weeks when she figured out it was a bad fit for her.

Miu Watanabe Vs Hikari Noa is a match to watch out for. The two members of the Up Up Girls (Pro Wrestling) have developed so much in the ring this year and part of the reason why is they branched out to other tag teams outside of their unit (Momoiro Sparkling for Watanabe and Pandemic Boo-Boo for Noa). Gotta be honest here, I think Raku is in danger of never catching up to them.

The American indy Game Changer Wrestling is currently making a splash in Japan and a visit to BASARA was on the cards for one G-Raver. The reason was simple, G-Raver wanted to avenge a loss to Isami Kodaka he suffered in GCW last year. The BASARA fans welcomed him with GCW chants but Kodaka was not so friendly towards him. The two sat down on chairs and hit each other with steel cans until Raver got busted open. Raver took over and put Kodaka through a table with a Diving Body Press out of the ring. A ladder came into play and Raver gave Kodaka a Suplex from the top of it. In the end Kodaka got the victory by hitting the Isamiashi Zan kick. Kodaka told G-Raver that he has beaten him twice now but is not against fighting him a third time. He called everyone in GCW crazy guys who came to Japan because they wanted to shed blood over here. He praised them for being a really crazy and good organisation. Kodaka & G-Raver shared beers and had a toast to GCW.

SAGAT was the last man standing in the Elimination Tag match. That was a big surprise for Ryuichi Sekine because he thought SAGAT was done for when he was knocked onto the edge of the apron. SAGAT fought back and stunned Sekine with a Headbutt. He then got back into the ring and hit Sekine from behind with the Goregrind for the upset win. SAGAT challenged Sekine to a Union MAX Title match afterwards.

Fuminori Abe was brought to wrestling court charged with lying about his education when he applied to join BASARA. He claimed to be a high school student when he is allegedly a junior high school student. Gouma Ryu defended Abe by saying he is a monk (he was dressed as one) so he does not do scams. Abe explained he attended high school at 16 but got suspended after a motorcycle accident. He dropped out of school three months later. Ryu and Banana Senga attacked Abe over this new found information but Abe fought both of them off. He then revealed that since dropping out he eventually returned to high school and graduated with a communications degree. The court declared him not guilty.

Today’s Shinjuku FACE doubleheader began with BASARA’s turn in the Beer Garden. Dove Pro came in with the goal of winning the UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles from Sento Minzoku. The main event was even done “DOVE Style” by playing music while everyone fought. “brother” YASSHI did his best to annoy everyone while Kohei Kinoshita co-operated well with his partners. They were kept busy with Ryuichi Sekine & Daiki Shimomura but the match went down to Isami Kodaka and Naoki Tanizaki. Kodaka survived the Implant Bomb and hit the Isamiashi Zan for his team’s first successful title defence.

 

Kodaka said today’s matches were a little confusing because there were BASARA wrestlers in Dove Pro teams. Tanizaki told him that Dove Pro defeated BASARA today three matches to two. Kodaka disagreed because BASARA won the main event title match. They’ll continue this feud in Osaka on 12th August.

Ryota Nakatsu got new theme music for his match with Kenshin Chikano. His right arm was targeted but plenty of kicks and the V Slider got him a big win in the BASRA Vs Dove Pro rivalry.

Changes were made to a few matches at the start of the show when it was revealed that FUMA was jumping ship to Dove Pro! He made the decision because Dove Pro’s ending song is more heavy metal than BASARA’s ending song. Kodaka decided to add FUMA and SAGAT to opposite teams in the Hardcore Tag Match. The Dove Pro team won when Gunso threw a chair in SAGAT’s face. Yusuke Kubo pushed FUMA away after the match but they reconciled with the heavy metal hand sign. At the end of the show Kodaka told FUMA that BASARA is not ashamed of heavy metal. They will hold another “FUMA FEST” this year so they hope he will be return to BASARA for that.

Rey Paloma used a Sleeper Hold to render Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi unconscious. However Hiroshi’s yoga ability made him reach enlightenment in this situation so he was able to fight back. Paloma powered up in his own way by pulling down his wrestling tights to his ankles and wrestling the rest of the match in a red thong. The tights also prevented Hiroshi from doing the Scorpion Deathlock because they would his own legs would get tangled in them. That allowed Paloma to use steal the win with a Backslide Pin.

The 8 Way Drunkers match was changed to a 6 Way with the removal of FUMA and SAGAT. The rules were a wrestler had to drink a shot of tequila after every kickout or rope break. Shoichi Uchida stood around dressed like a bartender providing the drinks. Everybody got drunk. Uchida ended up shoving the bottle of tequila into Takato Nakano’s mouth and Kabuki Kid took advantage to get the pin.

1. Daichi Kazato defeated Masato Kamino with a Modified Arm Lock (6:03).
2. Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when Tsukamoto pinned Kubo with a Thrust Kick (11:38).
3. Fuminori Abe Vs Jun Masaoka ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
4. Hiroshi du Soleil Vs Speed Of Sounds: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & SAGAT when Oosugi pinned Hiroshi with a Backslide Pin (10:42).
5. Naoki Tanizaki & Kohei Kinoshita defeated Ryota Nakatsu & Takato Nakano when Tanizaki pinned Nakano with the Isamiashi Zan (12:59).
6. Sento Minzoku Vs Dove Pro Wrestling!: Ryuichi Sekine, Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura defeated Gunso, Kabuki Kid & Mataro Aoki by Referee Stoppage when Sekine used the Let’s Combine on Kid (13:53).

The referee stopped the main event and awarded the match to Sento Minzoku when Kabuki Kid was unresponsive in Ryuichi Sekine’s Combine submission hold. The Dove Pro team complained about the result and started a brawl with the BASARA wrestlers. Isami Kodaka told the Dove wrestlers that their battles will continue in Shinjuku and Osaka next month. Gunso called the referee biased while Naoki Tanizaki promised to take the UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles from Isami Kodaka and his buddies. Kodaka said this feud is not about Tokyo Vs Osaka but he would protect Shinjuku from Tanizaki.

What sparked the bad tensions took place in the previous match. Tanizaki used Kodaka’s finisher the Isamiashi Zan on Takato Nakano to win the match. He and Ryota Nakatsu got in each other’s faces afterwards and begun fighting until they were pulled apart.

Fuminori Abe and Jun Masaoka fought to a twenty minute draw. Abe offered a handshake when the match was over but Masaoka stuck up a middle finger instead.

In June she wrestled Miyu Yamashita in England’s Frontline Wrestling promotion and the match was highly praised by Will Ospreay on Twitter.
