*V3 for Shuten-dōji.

DDT took a trip through its past for a special show held inside their old venue Shibuya Club ATOM. It was the first time in 13 years that DDT was at the building. Some old friends and faces stopped by and even some of the current generation of DDT wrestlers gave a few references to past members of the company. The main event was a big reunion as HERO!, MIKAMI & Tanomusaku Toba returned to face Shuten-dōji. The decision was made at the start of the show to turn the match into a KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles defence. The champions defeated their retro opponents then were joined by the rest of the roster to celebrate 20 years of DDT to end the show.

The YaroZ Vs DAMNATION 6-Man Tag Match was split into two matches by order of Producer Danshoku Dino. He wanted Antonio Honda to have a singles match so he was put in a match against Tetsuya Endo. The remaining Yaroz and DAMNATION wrestlers would then fight in a normal tag match. DAMNATION came out on top in both matches.

Konosuke Takeshita wanted himself and Akito to team with Poison Sawada JULIE because he was the one who pinned JULIE in his retirement match five years ago. JULIE told both of them that ALL OUT is missing something vital. Entertainment! He gave both of them a bottle labelled “ALL OUT POISON” and encouraged them to drink. They were hesitant to do so until JULIE said is was a state of the art 100% protein drink. Takeshita & Akito went ahead and drank their bottles. JULIE then revealed it is Snake World Protein and they are now under his spell! When it was time for their match, Takeshita & Akito wore JULIE style gear and were now called Konosuke Hebikita & Hebikito! With a hiss and a rattle, JULIE controlled his subjects to defeat NωA. Hebikito gave Shunma Katsumata the Maoi Of Easter then put him in a Figure Four Leg Lock. Hebikita put Makoto Oishi in the Cattle Mutilation to make him submit. The snake potion wore off 10 minutes after the match and JULIE only brought two bottles. Neither Takeshita nor Akito noticed.

When Ken Ohka arrived in the building, so many memories came flooding back. Not all of them good. He flashed back to 2004 when he was wrestling as the musketeer O.K. Revolution and was forced by Sanshiro Takagi to retire. With this fresh in his mind he wanted revenge on Takagi. He tried to convince Danshoku Dino and Muscle Sakai to join him and gang up on Takagi. But when the bell rang to start the match Takagi, Dino and Sakai all attacked Ohka instead. Takagi tried to give Ohka the Sit Down Himawari Bomb but Cherry rolled into the ring and stopped him. Takagi got rid of Cherry and tried his finisher again. This time Sakai stopped him and then to everyone’s surprise Super Sasadango Machine entered the ring. Takagi’s confusion at seeing Sakai and Sasadango standing next to each other distracted him long enough for Ohka to hit him with the Fire Spear for the three count. Ohka told Takagi afterwards that he dreamt of nothing but beating him in Club ATOM. Now that he did it, he forgives him for what happened between them in the past. Ohka cried for his music to play but there was silence. Takagi reminded Ohka who is the real thing around here and screamed for his own song to play. This time it did.

Kazuki Hirata brought down Tetsuya Koda to be a DJ for the Club House Death Match. DJ Koda was instructed to play only one song throughout the match, “TOKYO GO”. Koda kept getting accidentally cut off by Toru Owashi. When he eventually recovered and played the song again, Mike Bailey put on the HIRATA GO! glasses and sang along while Keisuke Ishii pinned Hirata with the Kneel Kick.

3. Abdullah Kobayashi & Masaya Takahashi defeated Ryuichi Sekine & Ryota Nakatsu when Kobayashi submitted Sekine with a Crab Hold (10:23).
4. SAGAT, I Will Sell A Fight To All Japan Pro Wrestling!: Yuma Aoyagi defeated SAGAT with the Fisherman Suplex (11:08).
5. MIKAMI & Tanomusaku Toba defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when MIKAMI pinned Kubo with the 450 Splash (16:11).
6. Union MAX Title Preview 3rd Match!: Isami Kodaka & Kengo Mashimo defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Shota when Kodaka pinned Hiroshi with the Zeyyari (14:44).

While on paper the main event looked one-sided, the pairing of Isami Kodaka & Kengo Mashimo turned out to be very volatile even though they won. Kodaka and Mashimo spent almost as much time fighting each other than they did Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Shota. During the entrances Kodaka couldn’t resist kicking Mashimo from behind and get chased around ringside. When Hiroshi & Shota attacked Kodaka, Mashimo sat down in the front row and applauded them. He then refused to tag in when Kodaka needed rest saying “It cannot be helped”. Mashimo did run in to break up pins and submissions but he did so to attack Kodaka at the same time. When Hiroshi put Kodaka in a Cross Armbreaker, Mashimo broke it up with a Diving Knee Drop… to Kodaka’s targeted arm. Kodaka got a slimmer of hope when he ducked a High Kick from Mashimo and Hiroshi was hit instead. Kodaka got rid of Mashimo and was able to pin Hiroshi with the Zeyyari. Mashimo continued to attack Kodaka’s arm after the match until officials pulled him back. Kodaka grabbed a microphone and yelled there were enemies everywhere! When he calmed down he turned his attention to Hiroshi. He said Hiroshi will have no answer for him at Korakuen Hall when they wrestle for the Union MAX Title. Kodaka looked at the BASARA logo on the ring canvas and talked about how he made BASARA from nothing. He always feels like he standing on the edge of a cliff with his back facing the sea. He can never take a step back. He will try harder than ever before when BASARA runs Korakuen Hall on Christmas Day.

The Suicide Boyz got a win over IRON PRIEST ahead of their big 6-Man Tag at Korakuen. MIKAMI asked himself after the match “What is metal?” Well when Jun Kasai joins him & Tanomusaku Toba to form The Suicide Monkeys they’ll show IRON PRIEST just how crazy they are. MIKAMI’s speech provoked FUMA & Yusuke Kubo, sparking a brawl in the ring that had to be seperated. MIKAMI was encouraged by IRON PRIEST’s energised response.

It looks like Abdullah Kobayashi enjoys wrestling in BASARA. Why? Because it draws more women in their crowds than Big Japan. Kudos, Isami. He is getting under Ryuichi Sekine’s skin for using a version of the Boston Crab that looks like Sekine’s Combine submission to win his matches. After submitting Sekine with the move Kobayashi bragged that his Crab Hold won him the BJW Death Match Championship whereas Sekine’s Combine barely wins him matches in Chiba. He then asked for the audience to vote by applause over who has the better move. He won the vote. Abdullah then asked Sekine where was Koji Kanemoto? Sekine checked on Twitter and found out Kanemoto took the day off. He’ll go DM him to make sure he shows up on Christmas Day.

*New Buddy Tag fail in V4. The Aldini Brothers become the 21st NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Champions!

The team of Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto, together now known as The Aldini Brothers, have brought in new gold for BASARA! They challenged Ikuto Hidaka & Hayato Jr. Fujita to come over to BASARA and put their NWA International Lightweight Tag Team Titles on the line. The champions accepted but will now going back to ZERO1 without the titles. They graciously gave the belts over to the winners and as they left, Kodaka said how much it meant to him to wrestle them for the championship. He then asked if Hidaka will enter the annual Furinkazan tournament in ZERO1. Hidaka said he would tell him tomorrow and he will wrestle again in BASARA. Tsukamoto was thrilled with his new title. It is the first championship he won since four years ago when he was a Yokohama Shopping Street Six Man Tag Team Champion. He searched the internet before the match to learn about this NWA Tag Title and thought it looked cool when he saw pictures of it.

SAGAT was put into a challenge against some All Japan wrestlers to prepare him for Jun Akiyama. However when he was overwhelmed Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi would come in to physically defend him. The All Japan team kept hitting SAGAT with Axe Bombers until SAGAT would block them with an Axe Bomber of his own. Hiroshi would but in and make an unwilling SAGAT attempt double team moves like the Space SAGAT Torpedo 2 (Hiroshi throws SAGAT at their opponent) and the Space SAGAT Cannon (Hiroshi Dropkicks SAGAT into their opponent) but they both failed. The latter miss cost SAGAT the match when Yuma Aoyagi pinned him with a Fisherman Suplex afterwards. Hiroshi told SAGAT to look closely at himself before he faces Akiyama. Ryuichi then Chopped him.

In a preview of the Yokohama 6-Man Tag Title match, Abdullah Kobayashi made Ryota Nakatsu submit to a Crab Hold. It was supposed to be the Let’s Combine as used by Nakatsu’s teammate Ryuichi Sekine but Kobayashi’s a bit sloppy at applying the move. Sekine wasn’t impressed and said Cavalry will be taking those belts from Kobayashi’s team on Christmas Day.

Tanomusaku Toba was put on a trial by combat by Gouma Ryu against Atsushi Maruyama with Kyohei Wada as the judge. Toba was accused of leaving a Chinese beauty shop in Osaka without paying for the service. The “trial” was set up as a 3 Way match but Ryu admitted it was more of a 2 Vs 1 contest between him and Toba against Maruyama. Ryu defended Toba by claiming he is poor and couldn’t afford to pay for the items. Maruyama played prosecutor and called referee Yuya Okada up as a witness. Okada said he borrowed money to Toba that day so he should have been able to pay. Ryu called up Ryuichi Sekine and asked him what he knew about the shop. Sekine said the shop gives massages then was embarrassed by what he just admitted. Ryu told Toba that he couldn’t defend him anymore. Toba got angry and knocked out Ryu with a Straight Right punch. He mounted Ryu and began punching him. However Wada treated this as a pin and counted to three. This somehow meant Toba was declared guilty. Ryu asked Maruyama if they could do the best pro wrestling trial in history at Korakeun Hall? Maruyama agreed and so did Wada.

10. King Of DDT 2016 – Round 1: Shigehiro Irie defeated Yukio Sakaguchi with the Beast Bomber (16:34).

The King Of DDT 1st Round was the focus of this show. Tetsuya Endo defeated Mad Paulie, eliminating Daisuke Sasaki’s pet with a strong Torture Rack Bomb and Sky Twister Press. Kazuki Hirata ditched the dancing for his match with Shunma Katsumata and eliminated him by countering the Lightning Spiral into the Miracle On Shot Cradle. Only afterwards did Hirata start dancing. In a match between former Drift members, Soma Takao got the better of Keisuke Ishii. Takao was happy to see that he did not stumble and fall at his first challenge post-Drift. Kota Umeda tried what he could against Shuji Ishikawa and even kicked out of the Fire Thunder but he fell to the Running Knee Lift. KENSO wasn’t welcomed into the tournament by Antonio Honda but he didn’t let that get him down. KENSO won and said it was going to be the Summer Of KENSO. HARASHIMA bested Masa Takanashi but at one point was almost counted out. HARASHIMA countered the Takatonic into a Cross Armbreaker for a submission victory, a change from his usual method of winning with the Somato. Kazusada Higuchi also added a new move to his repertoire, pinning Yasu Urano with a Doctor Bomb to go through. Finally Shigehiro Irie and Yukio Sakaguchi beat the heck out of each other in the main event. Irie won but he hugged with Sakaguchi after the match. They also both sat down and bowed to each other.

The Round 2 matches on 12th June are:

Tetsuya Endo Vs Kazuki Hirata
Soma Takao Vs Shuji Ishikawa
KENSO Vs HARASHIMA
Kazusada Higuchi Vs Shigehiro Irie

The 3 Way Match was the first meeting between Konosuke Takeshita and Daisuke Sasaki since their KO-D Openweight Title match. Also Gota Ihashi was there. Sasaki took out a 5 yen coin on a string and swung it back and forth over Ihashi’s face. He told Ihashi that he is the strongest wrestler he ever fought, so much stronger than Takeshita. If he beats Takeshita then he can get the KO-D Title. Sasaki then ordered a hypnotised Ihashi to only attack Takeshita. The 3 Way Match turned into a 2 Vs 1 Handicap match but Sasaki’s plan failed. Ihashi missed a Cross Body attack and landed on Sasaki instead. Takeshita then pinned Ihashi with the German Suplex to overcome the 2 on 1 challenge.

At the end of the opening match Sanshiro Takagi spoke to Toru Owashi about his Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Contract. Owashi has held the contract ever since he won it back in March and Takagi wanted to know when Owashi would use it for a KO-D Title shot. Takagi tried to convince Owashi to cash it in but he declined. Owashi told him it is important to consider the current situation and not take attention away from the King Of DDT tournament. He said he’ll get his title match when it is appropriate.

Yumehito Imanari was busy with editing work when he was told in the ring for the King Of Dark Title match. He and Amon Tsurumi argued over whether he should wrestle or go back to work. Tsurumi hyped up his challenger. It isn’t Kazuyuki Fujita or Naoya Ogawa or Shinya Aoki. It was former DDT kickboxer Tanomusaku Toba! Imanari accepted the fight but was overwhelmed with punches and kicks. He tried to do a German Suplex but Toba knocked him out with the Backblow to win. Ken Ohka and KAI entered the ring after the match. KAI introduced himself to Toba and said he was a fan of his going all the way back to his Suicide Boyz days. When Tsurumi asked why they were out here KAI told him it was about the KO-D Tag Team Titles match on 3rd July. Tsurumi couldn’t confirm them as the No. 1 contenders and also pointed out that KAI is supposed to be at a WRESTLE-1 show that day.

Daisuke Sasaki & Shuji Ishikawa then came out. Sasaki greeted KAI by calling him “Mr. Sakai” and telling him it’s been ten years since they wrestled together in Mexico. He and KAI talked about Yohei Nakajima recently visiting Mexico and Sasaki said he brought him back an erotic book as a souvenir. Ohka asked Sasaki for a tag title shot and Sasaki accepted it. KAI celebrated while Tsurumi confirmed the match will go ahead on 3rd July.

1. Kotaro Nasu defeated Fumihito Kihara with a Facelock (3:02).
2. Tanomusaku Toba defeated Yumehito Imanari by Knockout with a Straight Right (5:50).
3. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara defeated Shinichiro Tominaga & Tomohiro Otani when Namiguchi pinned Otani with the Lanakila-N (9:30).
4. Ken Ohka defeated Ganbare Tamagawa with the Flame Spear (14:10).

Even in defeat, Ganbare Tamagawa has been inspired by Ken Ohka to become stronger. Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara confronted the two wrestlers after their match but was then cut off by Tanomusaku Toba. Toba challenged Ogasawara to a match and offered a handshake. Ogasawara accepted both. Tamagawa however charged at Namiguchi and the two had to be pulled apart. Both Toba Vs Ogasawara and Tamagawa Vs Namiguchi will take place in Saitama on 21st July.

Suddenly, Survival Tobita made a dramatic entrance. He does not take kindly to Ganbare☆Pro coming into his territory. Ohka and Yumehito Imanari challenged Tobita to a tag team match on 21/7. Tobita accepted and said his partner will be a Phantom!

Tomohiro Otani, the failed SMASH trainee was the person with the amateur wrestling background chosen to team with Shinichiro Tominaga to take on Osamu Namiguchi & Kazuhiko Ogasawara. Unfortunately for Otani, Namiguchi was too strong for him.

Lady Steel appeared demanding to know why she wasn’t booked for the show. She wants to be the Cinderella of Ganbare☆Wrestling and will beat anyone for the title. Ken Ohka gave her a new name, Gorikiko (meaning “Herculean Strength Steel”) and announced she will face Tsukasa Fujimoto on 21/7.

Even though Yumehito Imanari was knocked out, he told Tanomusaku Toba after their match that he had fun and wanted to wrestle him one more time. He even began to cry when he asked for the rematch.

Fumihito Kihara injured his left elbow during the opener.

Shota Vs Crusher Takahashi will happen at the 21/7 event.
