1. Akito & Yukio Naya defeated Kazusada Higuchi & Mizuki Watase when Akito submitted Watase with the Scorpion Lock (9:36).
2. Saki Akai & Makoto Oishi defeated Miyako Matsumoto & Nobuhiro Shimatani when Oishi pinned Shimatani with a European Clutch (8:38).
3. Soma Takao defeated Shunsuke Sayama with the Reverse Gory Special Bomb (10:02).
4. Asuka & Shunma Katsumata defeated MAO & Mike Bailey by Disqualification when MAO used a box of toy blocks (9:26).
5. Akito Marunage Match: Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno defeated Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ueno by Countout (19:58).
6. DAMNATION Vs DISASTER BOX: Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie defeated HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata when Sasaki pinned Hirata with a Diving Elbow Drop (14:36).
7. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title: Yukio Sakaguchi (c) defeated Antonio Honda with the Modified Cobra Clutch (13:50).
*V? for Yukio Sakaguchi.

Yukio Sakaguchi used Antonio Honda’s Gongitsune against him, forcing his hand into his eye while the Cobra Clutch was applied for the submission victory. During the match Miyako Matsumoto and Saki Akai both tried to pin Sakaguchi to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title but he kicked out of their School Boys. When the match was over Yukio Naya and Keigo Nakamura also tried pinning Sakaguchi with School Boys but failed to win the title. Naya demanded to be put into the Battle Royal at the Tokyo Idol Festival next week.

There was a lot of focus on HARASHIMA and Tetsuya Endo in the 6-Man Tag Match. When the match ended HARASHIMA checked on his partners but suddenly got kicked in the head by Endo. The two got into a fight and had to be pulled away from each other. When the ring was cleared Mad Paulie was left on his own. He found a pair of Hirata GO! glasses, put them on and danced.

Yuki Ueno worked double duty in the same match by being on both tag teams. He made his entrance with Naomi Yoshimura then left the ring to re-enter with Konosuke Takeshita. He performed double team moves with both of his partners/opponents until they both decided to tag him in. When Ueno was the legal man on both teams he wound up wrestling himself. An outside brawl resulted in Yoshimura injuring his leg. Takeshita made it back to the ring but Ueno didn’t know which wrestler to be with. Akito got on the microphone and told Ueno he would win if he abandoned Yoshimura and got in the ring. Ueno instead chose to help his DISASTER BOX partner and got counted out.

Akito applauded Ueno for sticking with Yoshimura and said they could win the KO-D Tag Team Titles in the near future. Ueno said that Takeshita was still his best friend. That comment made Shunma Katsumata upset because he thought he was Ueno’s best friend. He got so angry he took out a chopstick and stabbed Ueno in the stomach! The lights briefly went out and the room went dark. When the lights came back on the ring was empty so everyone decided it was time to call intermission.

Katsumata won his tag match by DQ with some trickery. When the referee was knocked down, Katsumata brought in a box of toy blocks and emptied it over the ring canvas. He then passed the empty box over to MAO and played dead. The ref saw MAO with the box but he tried to give it to Asuka. When that failed he hit himself over the head with the box in anger until he was disqualified.

Soma Takao and Shunsuke Sayama are drinking buddies so they were happy to have a match together today. Takao wouldn’t mind teaming with him for a match in the future.

Fujita came up with the idea of a team challenge called “Banquet Fight 2019” between himself and Kodaka. A partial card has been made after the two teams were drafted by the captains. Due to an odd number of wrestlers available, Fujita’s team is one man short so the missing name in the main event is a mystery for now.

Chris Brookes is calling Konosuke Takeshita a boring wrestler. He even felt a little disappointed when he watched Takeshita win the KO-D Openweight Title in the main event yesterday. Takeshita in response calls Brookes the UK’s best wrestler, but then called himself the world’s best wrestler. Before this match takes places, Takeshita will be wrestling in Hindmarsh, Australia for Sub-Zero Pro this Friday. His goal is to win the title there and collect championships from around the world until the Olympics begin.

Akito has nominated Jiro Kuroshio as the next challenger for the DDT Extreme Title. However Kuroshio is already booked on this show so there is no date decided yet for the title match. Akito would like the match to take place on 3rd August at Beer Garden week.

Sanshiro Takagi wants revenge on Yumehito Imanari for revealing his phone number during yesterday’s Weapon Rumble. Takagi was still getting phone calls in the middle of the night. Imanari said the prank is opening up new opportunities for DDT because every company now knows where to call Takagi.

Makoto Oishi is being moved to the 3 Way Tag match since he has partnered up with Yukio Naya before. He is being replaced by Saki Akai in the product placement match.

That is not a mistake. Akito wants Yuki Ueno to be wrestling on both teams. Akito is not in his own Marunage match because he thinks his only responsibility is to produce it. Ueno regularly teams with Naomi Yoshimura but also regularly trains with Takeshita. Oh, there is also the fact that Yoshimura and Takeshita don’t get along. This is a good three way relationship for Akito to experiment which is why he made this match.

6. Hama Special 4 Way Match: Soma Takao defeated Konosuke Takeshita, MAO and Mike Rollins when Takao pinned Rollins with the Official Endless Waltz (13:05).
7. Hama Special Tag Match: Hama Special Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi & Makoto Oishi defeated Daisuke Sasaki & Tetsuya Endo when Oishi submitted Endo with a Modified Cross Kneebar (17:17).

The loser taps out the champion! All this talk about Tetsuya Endo beating Makoto Oishi 100 times out of 100 and he ends up submitting to the guy just over a week before their KO-D Openweight Title match. The Cross Kneebar that Oishi used to beat Daisuke Sasaki in February came into play today as a counter for Endo’s Yurikamome Hold. Sasaki was there to break the hold once but Kazusada Higuchi made sure he couldn’t do it again when Endo reapplied it from Endo’s Handspring attempt. Endo tapped out but Oishi would not let go of the hold. When they were pulled apart Oishi said that Endo is fine and should not have given up. It was a big statement for Oishi but also only one win. There will another match between them tomorrow before they fight for the title at Korakuen Hall. Oishi asked the fans to please come support him at Korakuen because he never gets to be in this position outside of his homecoming shows. Endo said backstage that he lost to Oishi and also to himself.

Soma Takao came out the winner of the 4 Way Match thanks to the Official Endless Waltz. He kept rolling Mike Rollins and MAO into Cradles until he finally got the pin on Rollins. Konosuke Takeshita was still in the match despite no longer being involved in the upcoming KO-D Tag Team Titles 3 Way. Sasaki thinks he is running away from it because he knows he can’t win. Rollins and Ricky Starks dispute the finish and hold on to the fact they are undefeated as a team because they are sexy and psycho!

Saki Akai continues her call for more women to wrestle in DDT. It will give her a chance to do more in the company.

There was an unusual amount of waterboarding going on in the opener. Toru Owashi’s team brought in seaweed and placed it over Starks’ face then poured water over it. Starks’ team later did the same to Gota Ihashi, leading to the finish where Asuka pinned him with the Moonsault.

What a sneaky little devil Akito is. I thought he used the title shot he won from the Dramatic General Election on the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match back at the start of the year. Turns out it didn’t because #STRONGHEARTS officially challenged ALL OUT for that match, not the other way round. That means Akito still has his shot and he wants to use it for the DDT Extreme Title. He is happy to face either HARASHIMA or Antonio Honda for it.

This is a big show DDT is putting together in Ehime before their major summer event in Ota Ward Gymnasium. Names announced to appear include Tatsumi Fujinami, Yoshiaki Yatsu, Hideki Suzuki, former DDT trainee Ryutaro Watanabe and Rising HAYATO. Also joining the show are Ehime Pro Wrestling talents Bonjin Pulp, Mizuhime Saijo and Cutiely The Ehime.

DDT received a threatening message from Danshoku Dieno about the wrestling match at Abema Towers later this week. Dieno message is that President Fujita’s lips will belong to him! DDT has promised to do what they can to protect President Fujita from Dieno during the show.

He would rather fight against his old partner Daiki Shimomura than team with him again. Negotiations are currently in place with those two along with the Speed Of Sounds to find a solution.

DDT has been so pleased by the wrestler booked show on 4th April that they want to adapt the concept on its upcoming shows in April and May. Each show will have a “Marunage” match booked by a chosen wrestler and so far the results are unlike anything we would see from DDT’s regular matchmaking.

Konosuke Takeshita kicks off the Marunage series with a match involving local wrestlers from Tottori Darazu Pro. The group began working with DDT last year with Lowther wrestling on shows whenever DDT went to Yonago. Takeshita wanted to put together a unique dream match between the two groups that DDT would have never booked otherwise. Yuki Ueno is also involved as a challenge to catch up with Takeshita.

Asuka and Lowther will also be on the show.

Keisuke Okuda’s match is happening in Osaka so he sees this as the perfect chance to take on Magnitude Kishiwada! He was scared of him when he was a kid so now as an adult Okuda gets to face his fear.

Asuka and Maku Donaruto will also be on the show.

Saki Akai wants DDT to continue to bring in women from other promotions so she can wrestle against them and also to mix it up with the men. Her rivalry with Yoshiko is coming back with this match. Akai also wanted to put Yukio Sakaguchi in the ring against Okuda. The two men haven’t been seeing eye to eye lately.

Hiroshi Yamato, Asuka and Shunsuke Sayama will all be on the show.

DDT “SHIN SYU VERY MUCH! 2019”, 21/04/2019

1. HARASHIMA Marunage Match ~ Generation Struggle 5 Vs 5 Elimination Match: HARASHIMA, Sanshiro Takagi, Masahiro Takanashi, Super Sasadango Machine & Tomomitsu Matsunaga Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Mizuki Watase, Yuki Ueno, Naomi Yoshimura & Keisuke Okuda

Normally HARASHIMA is not into feuds or matches where one generation is pitted against another. But given the current state of DDT he thinks a 5 Vs 5 Elimination match between the veterans and the current gen would be interesting to do.

Hiroshi Yamato and Asuka will also be on the show.

The Sendai Girls want to make it known that they are the best trios team out there regardless of gender. Saki Akai is the first person to challenge them. The only problem is she doesn’t have a team. Normally she could rely on Shuten-dōji to help out but that unit will be gone by the time this show takes place. If Akai cannot find a team before the show takes place then she will lose her title shot. Meiko Satomura wants the match to happen because she thinks she can bring out the best in Akai that’s never seen before.

The rest of the card will be decided once Dieno comes up with his match. That way DDT will know who they can use.
