Yasu Urano challenged Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title and wanted it to happen right there and then just like when he challenged for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title at Ganbare☆Pro recently. Tsukamoto asked for some rest and the two eventually agreed to have the title match on 25th February. Urano kept asking for the match to happen as soon as possible but Tsukamoto wants the match to happen at a big show like the February Shinjuku FACE event. He has a busy schedule that week in February because he will be defending the BJW Death Match Title a few days before.

Everyone in Match #4 did the Kamikaze to each other as their way of saying goodbye to Ryuichi Sekine. When it was Sekine’s turn to do it on Fuminori Abe they both broke down into tears. Sekine was encouraged to finish the move but Abe countered it into a Crucifix Pin for the three count. Isami Kodaka encouraged Sekine to enjoy his break from wrestling and to remember this is not a retirement. He will come back to the ring someday.

Match #3 was turned into an MMA style Jacket Match. Both Ryota Nakatsu and Gouma had to fight in a judo jacket with fingerless gloves. Nakatsu dominated the fight and drained Gouma’s energy until he was finally choked out in Round 4.

SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa want to challenge for the IRON FIST TAG Titles.

The Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title is no longer with Ganbare☆Pro after Shota lost the championship at a JUST TAP OUT show. His match with Yasu Urano will still go ahead but Urano still wants Shota to defend something so the match has some meaning. An agreement was made that Shota will cut off his hair on the spot if he loses. Urano however does not have to put anything on the line so nothing will happen to him if he loses. Going by that wording, a draw should spare Shota’s locks if that happens again.

Asuka is taking time off to recover from an ankle injury. Ayumi Hayashi from Actwres girl’z takes her place in the trios match.

Gouma Ryu is now just Gouma after he failed to win the Dragon Contra Dragon match this past week. There’s been no sign of the other participant Trans-Am ★ Ryuji, I mean Trans-Am ★ Ji since the match happened.

It was revealed to him on a ZOOM call that both Shunma Katsumata and Batten x Burabura will challenge him in a 3 Way Match with the exact rules revealed before the match begins. Katsumata just visited the Kumamoto Hot Spring the other day and already bought the T-shirt. Burabura wants to win the title and use it to make Kyushu a better place. He thinks he can win because local talent are strong in local areas which means he has the hometown advantage.

Takumi Tsukamoto and FUMA have become different people in the five years since BASARA was launched. Tsukamoto admits that his style of wrestling does not match with FUMA’s. But that is why he wanted to beat him today in order to retain the Union MAX Title. He was nervous to defend the title in the main event of BASARA’s 5th Anniversary and he is proud to be a double champion along with the BJW Death Match Title he won on 2nd January. Yusuke Kubo challenged Tsukamoto for the MAX Title on 26th January. Kubo wants it to be an exciting match between two wrestlers from Kyushu.

The IRON FIST Tag Titles are now claimed by Sento Minzoku! The new champions edged out the win when Isami Kodaka countered the Tsuki no Ishi into a cradle for the three count. Kodaka felt he was at his limit and his partner Daiki Shimomura was the key for their victory today. Shimomura wants to nominate their first challengers as soon as possible while Kodaka is more patient and prefers to wait for a team to challenge them. He understands the scenery of BASARA is changing around him so he wants to have more fun with the position he is in. For Speed Of Sounds they are thinking about taking a different direction after having a dominant title reign. Both Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga want to chase after singles titles because they are more than just as a tag team.

Since Ryuichi Sekine is going to take time off soon, Match #5 was chosen to determine who will become Ryuichi Sekine II. Both Fuminori Abe and Yasu Urano entered to Sekine’s entrance music and attempted to use his moves on each other. Abe couldn’t decide on which of Sekine’s move to use for the finish so he went for his own Manjigatame instead. He then told everyone only the original Ryuichi Sekine should use the Let’s Combine and he hopes he will come back when he feels like it.

The double countout in the Dragon Contra Dragon match happened when Trans-Am ★ Ryuji chased Gouma Ryu around ringside. They scrambled to get back in before the twenty count but both fell to the floor as the referee counted 20. As a result, both Gouma Ryu and Trans-Am ★ Ryuji will get “Ryu” stripped from their names.

Sekine assures everyone he is not retiring after his match with Ryota Nakatsu. He just needs a break because right now he can no longer do various things at once. He wants to take time off, study something new and maybe when he comes back he will be 2 meters tall and can enter the heavyweight division.

He should respect Shota more and not look down on that result but as the UNIVERSAL Champion he has a standard to live up to. He must not let the title go to someone who can’t decide if he is indie or major.

Ikuto Hidaka’s appearances in Ganpro this year was to show he still has a lot left in the tank despite his age. Keisuke Ishii wants to see it for himself after he beat Hidaka in a tag match a few days ago.

The D-Ou Grand Prix is over for another year and the winner Jun Akiyama gets the KO-D Openweight Title shot against Tetsuya Endo in February. Akiyama put over Endo and the KO-D Title huge by including Endo with Tetsuya Naito and Go Shiozaki as the only three champions that matter to him. Endo did beat Akiyama in their D-Ou group match so Akiyama needs to fight his heart out if he wants to win. Endo watched the final between Akiyama and Konosuke Takeshita, leaving him with some strong opinions. He can tell the difference between the two wrestlers. According to Endo, Takeshita only thinks about himself while Akiyama is thinking about the entire wrestling industry. Endo likes the praise of his title reign he is getting from Akiyama and it makes him proud of increasing the KO-D Title’s value. So when Endo beats Akiyama again in Culttz Kawasaki, he will call the KO-D Title the number one championship in Japan and himself the number one wrestler in Japan!

Chris Brookes defended the DDT UNIVERSAL Title against one half of Nautilus so now he takes on the other half. Yuki Ueno took offence to Brookes calling Naomi Yoshimura weak after beating him. Ueno then took more offence when Brookes suggested he is weaker than Yoshimura. He wants to shut Brookes up and take his title. Might even end up becoming a triple crown champion along with the two tag titles when all is said and done

The motivation levels for Akito and Danshoku Dieno seem to be going in opposite directions this year. Akito’s has been rising to the point where he became a Vice President of CyberFight. Dieno is still able to come up with ideas but has he passed his creative peak? A match between the two will provide a barometer for where both will stand in DDT.

The participants for the 2021 D-Ou Grand Prix will be revealed on this show.

Saki Akai only wrestles in Tokyo Joshi Pro once or twice a year because DDT is her priority. For her 2020 appearance she will face Hyper Misao in a first time singles meeting. They were on opposite sides of a tag match once in 2015 but I think that may have been retconned into Akai getting replaced by Sakisama for some reason. Oh and there was also the storyline with that Saki Akamiya girl. Whatever happened to her? But enough about that.

Yuna Manase will be on the show. This will be her first appearance in Tokyo Joshi since leaving the promotion back in July. Look at her getting to wrestle everywhere!

It’s more important than their 6 or 7 years of friendship. Parker thinks success in Japan has gone to Brookes’ head.

Tetsuya Endo will announced his official opponent for “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020” on this show. More on this below but he has several candidates in mind. They’re probably all gravure models. If that doesn’t work he is also open to anybody he hasn’t considered yet to make their case.

The Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title has been saved. The hard work begins now for the new champion Asuka because she already has somebody targeting her. Shinichiro Tominaga is the first challenger and his goal is to be the first Amateur pro wrestler (as in college club wrestling, not actual amateur wrestling) to win the Indy Jr. Title. He’s not afraid to attack from behind or cheap shot his way to victory either, as shown by his win over Ken Ohka and what he did to Asuka after challenging her.

The GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles were last defended in February when THE HALFEE were a newly formed trio challenging for the titles. Ganpocha-gun defeated them and done nothing with the belts since then. A lot has changed since then and Moeka Haruhi wants her team to get another title shot. If THE HALFEE wins this time then they aim to defend the titles at Korakuen Hall in October.

Kouki Iwasaki and Ikuto Hidaka got into a fight after their tag match on the last show. The singles match is the obvious solution to this.

Ganbare☆Wrestling returns to Korakuen Hall to hold their third show in the building. Yumehito Imanari’s current infatuation with ZERO1 results in Shinjiro Otani returning to Ganpro after his match with Imanari last November. This time they’re teaming up against two thirds of the former Team Dream Futures. It looks like Keisuke Ishii is in a slump after losing the Indy World Jr. Title. Shigehiro Irie’s Ganpro appearances have all been him coming and going at his own leisure.

Months ago Yuna Manase tweeted a picture of Takumi Iroha making an entrance, commenting on how cool she looks. Fast forward to now and she will get to wrestle her! They’ve had one singles match against each other and a tag match teaming together over in Stardom but they were way back in 2014. Things are way different with both of them nowadays.

Kota Umeda emerges from the shadows again. He was last seen wrestling in BASARA back in January. He has a lot of history with Kouki Iwasaki when they were in DNA together so it will be fun to see the sparks fly when they fight each other again.

Here is the update to Endo picking Kenny Omega as his next KO-D Openweight Title defence. Omega is unable to enter Japan while the Coronavirus pandemic is happening so the match will not take place at “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”. When Omega is able to travel to Japan again, that is when Endo Vs Omega will happen in DDT. Until then, Endo has to pick another wrestler to defend the KO-D Title against at Ota Ward Gymnasium in November. As already mentioned above, Endo will pick his opponent on 7th September.

Omega sent a video to Endo responding to the challenge. Omega said Endo is not on the same level as him no matter how much Endo models himself after Omega. He sees that Endo is the top superstar in DDT who got everything he wanted. But Omega has conquered wrestling all over the world. When he goes back to DDT he will be Endo’s teacher again and will give Endo a lesson he will never forget. He will spank Endo until he cries to Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Sanshiro Takagi and Yukinori Matsui for help. And when Omega wins the KO-D Title, the fans will thank him for saving DDT from Endo.

Endo gave his response after watching the video. He said Omega hasn’t changed since anything since the time they lived in the same dormitory. Omega’s story isn’t interesting. If he can’t got to Japan then maybe Endo will go to America and quarantine himself for two weeks to make the match happen.

4. Sento Minzoku Vs Sakigake!! Iron Family 6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match: FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & SAGAT defeated Ryuichi Sekine, Minoru Fujita & Daiki Shimomura (15:15).
4a. FUMA eliminated Minoru Fujita by Ring Out (6:52).
4b. Ryuichi Sekine eliminated FUMA by Ring Out (6:57).
4c. Ryuichi Sekine eliminated Yusuke Kubo with the Combine (11:48).
4d. SAGAT eliminated Daiki Shimomura by Ring Out (14:01).
4e. SAGAT eliminated Ryuichi Sekine with the Goregrind to the back (15:15).
5. Hardcore Match: Isami Kodaka defeated G-Raver with the Zan Isamiashi Zan (15:31).

The American indy Game Changer Wrestling is currently making a splash in Japan and a visit to BASARA was on the cards for one G-Raver. The reason was simple, G-Raver wanted to avenge a loss to Isami Kodaka he suffered in GCW last year. The BASARA fans welcomed him with GCW chants but Kodaka was not so friendly towards him. The two sat down on chairs and hit each other with steel cans until Raver got busted open. Raver took over and put Kodaka through a table with a Diving Body Press out of the ring. A ladder came into play and Raver gave Kodaka a Suplex from the top of it. In the end Kodaka got the victory by hitting the Isamiashi Zan kick. Kodaka told G-Raver that he has beaten him twice now but is not against fighting him a third time. He called everyone in GCW crazy guys who came to Japan because they wanted to shed blood over here. He praised them for being a really crazy and good organisation. Kodaka & G-Raver shared beers and had a toast to GCW.

SAGAT was the last man standing in the Elimination Tag match. That was a big surprise for Ryuichi Sekine because he thought SAGAT was done for when he was knocked onto the edge of the apron. SAGAT fought back and stunned Sekine with a Headbutt. He then got back into the ring and hit Sekine from behind with the Goregrind for the upset win. SAGAT challenged Sekine to a Union MAX Title match afterwards.

Fuminori Abe was brought to wrestling court charged with lying about his education when he applied to join BASARA. He claimed to be a high school student when he is allegedly a junior high school student. Gouma Ryu defended Abe by saying he is a monk (he was dressed as one) so he does not do scams. Abe explained he attended high school at 16 but got suspended after a motorcycle accident. He dropped out of school three months later. Ryu and Banana Senga attacked Abe over this new found information but Abe fought both of them off. He then revealed that since dropping out he eventually returned to high school and graduated with a communications degree. The court declared him not guilty.

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Ryuichi Sekine & Takumi Tsukamoto defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo and Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Sekine submitted Nakano with the Let’s Combine (8:31).
2. Yasu Urano (Best Stretchman V3), Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi (Best Stretchman V3) & Gouma Ryu (Best Stretchman V3) defeated Best Stretchman V3 (Daichi Kazato), Best Stretchman Amazon & Stretchman Man when Hiroshi pinned V3 after the Double Trigger Slam (5:28).
3. Special Single Match: Kota Umeda defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Umeda Driver (12:06).
4. Sparky Vs Aiseki Tag!: Fumihiro Abe & Ikuto Hidaka defeated Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizawa when Abe submitted Takizawa with the Manjigatame (11:14).
5. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Semi Final: Isami Kodaka defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Modified Samson Clutch (12:14).
6. Heaven Summit ~Itadaki~ – Semi Final: Minoru Fujita defeated SAGAT with a Modified Samson Clutch (14:27).

The Heaven Summit final will be an all Sento Minzoku affair with Isami Kodaka and Minoru Fujita both being victorious today. The connection between them was established even further when both of them won their matches with the same move, the Samson Clutch. Fujita used it to beat SAGAT after he blocked the Goregrind with his knees while Kodaka used it to get his win back from Ryota Nakatsu. Kodaka said he has known Fujita for almost 18 years going back to when he wrestled for K-DOJO. He only has gratitude for him and feels he never got an opportunity to truly surpass him until now. Fujita apologised to SAGAT’s fans over his result and said he will be teaching Kodaka all over again when they lock up in the final on 7th July. Kodaka responded he isn’t going to fight for BASARA or Sento Minzoku. He is going to fight in the final for himself. He wished Fujita “Peace & Fuck” before leaving the ring. Fujita’s final words were he still has fight left in him and since he won’t be able to drink much on 7th July, he will get drunk with the fans now instead.

Kota Umeda and Daiki Shimomura embraced after their match. It is the final time the two DNA wrestlers will face each other before Umeda quits wrestling.

The Best Stretchman hood saga is getting out of control. Multiple hoods found their way over the heads of Yasu Urano, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Gouma Ryu during their match. They all transformed into Best Stretchmen and used their powers to beat the original with a Double Choke Slam. It turns out the spirit of Best Stretchman V3 no longer wants to use Daichi Kazato as its host body and was searching all along for a new fit body to possess. It found an ideal host in the form of Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi, turning him into Perfect Best Stretchman V3! A match between him and Kazato was made for 7th July.

BASARA’s new independent fan club that will launch soon will be called HOUSE of BASARA.
