BASARA “BASARA 152 ~GLITTER~” Results

March 23, 2021

BASARA “BASARA 152 ~GLITTER~”, 23/03/2021
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Ryota Nakatsu, SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Yasu Urano when SAGAT pinned Nakano after the Big Mac (11:16).
2. BASARA Official Rules Double Jacket Bout: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Fuminori Abe & Gouma when Oosugi submitted Gouma with a Reverse Cross Armbreaker (R4 0:24).
3. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura (c) defeated FUMA & Yusuke Kubo when Shimomura pinned Kubo with the Orange Sunset (19:13).
*V2 for Sento Minzoku.
4. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Daichi Kazato with a Crab Hold (14:30).
*V4 for Takumi Tsukamoto.
5. Bonus Track – Final Trans-Am: The ★ Trans-Am defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with the Perfect 5 (8:09).

Today BASARA bid farewell to The ★ Trans-Am (aka Trans-Am ★ Ji, aka Trans-Am ★ Ryuji, aka Trans-Am ★ Ryuichi, aka Ryuichi Kawakami). He is going back to America but his future lies elsewhere, some place GLEAT so I hear. For his final BASARA match, his opponent Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi appeared in his classic pre-yoga costume wearing a blonde wig to match the hairstyle he had at that time. The wig was accidentally pulled off during the match and Hiroshi reacted to it by reverting to his current yoga persona. The BASARA roster took part in the farewell ceremony for Ryuji after the match.

Takumi Tsukamoto is handling the double champion role well. He now has 4 Union MAX Title defences to his name, the latest coming from a submission win over Daichi Kazato. He said winning this match gave him a lot of confidence. Nobody came out to challenge him afterwards which he thinks is a good thing. It shows he has become so strong that everyone might now be scared of him!

Isami Kodaka wants to give Daiki Shimomura all of the credit for their successful IRON FIST Tag Titles defence against IRON PRIEST. According to Kodaka, he couldn’t get his engine running until late the very end of the match. But he isn’t going to dwell on that. Instead, Kodaka wants to defend the BJW Jr. Heavyweight Title on a BASARA show next month. He needs Big Japan’s permission first but hopes they will let him do a title match on 10th April.

What are the full rules for the Jacket Match? According to Gouma, nobody knows! It was made even more confusing when applied to a tag team match. Speed Of Sounds were able to beat Gouma & Fuminori Abe fair and square but the two sides kept fighting after it ended.

The two teams have been selected after captains Shoko Nakajima and Rika Tatsumi picked random cards in a lottery. They now have to decide their team order separate from each other and present it to Tokyo Joshi Pro. TJPW will then put the lists together and reveal who faces who on the 11 match card.

BASARA “BASARA 151 ~TAKAGARI 2~”, 07/03/2021
Takashimadaira Ward Community Center

1. Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa Vs Takato Nakano & Rekka
2. SAGAT Vs Masato Kamino
3. Jacket Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Minoru Fujita
4. Fuminori Abe Vs Leo Isaka
5. Elimination 6-Man Tag Match: Takumi Tsukamoto, Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura Vs FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato

Champions versus challengers main event for both of the BASARA titles. Daichi Kazato is trying to get Takumi Tsukamoto’s attention for a Union MAX Title match. Yusuke Kubo made Isami Kodaka submit at the last show.

Hang on, I thought the Jacket Match was supposed to be Ryota Nakatsu’s thing. He’s the one who is good at it.

DDT “DAY DREAM BELIEVER 2021”, 14/03/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Hideki Okatani Vs Toui Kojima
2. 4 Way Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Toru Owashi Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Mad Paulie Vs Konosuke Takeshita & MAO Vs Yuki Iino & Yukio Naya
3. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – Top Of The Super Book 2021: Saki Akai Photo Book “Lip Hip Shake” (c), Saki Akai & Antonio Honda Vs The Young Bucks Autobiography “Killing The Business”, Danshoku Dieno & Keigo Nakamura
4. Junretsu Vs Eruption!: Jun Akiyama & Makoto Oishi Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi
5. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Yusuke Okada
6. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota (c) Vs Tetsuya Endo, Soma Takao & Yuji Hino
7. DDT Extreme Title: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs Chris Brookes

The bad blood between Shunma Katsumata and Chris Brookes has come back to the fore. Brookes has hated Katsumata ever since Brookes got banned from Twitter for three weeks when he threatened Katsumata online. He got a DDT Extreme Title shot by telling the champion it would be a clean match with no cheating involved. It was immediately shown to be a lie the moment the match was confirmed. Now it’s up to Katsumata to decide what kind of match they should have. He will be in the middle of a Big Japan death match tournament when this bout happens so he’ll already be pretty beaten up.

Soma Takao is getting more annoyed because Akito keeps reminding him of Young Communication. If he pesters him enough maybe Soma will actually join the Young Communication Generation… Nah!

What is going on? Jun Akiyama hasn’t won a match in DDT since becoming the KO-D Openweight Champion. It doesn’t help that his next challenger Kazusada Higuchi is on fire right now. That Brain Claw is nasty looking and his hard head can take being thrown into the ring post with no problem.

I’m starting to get high hopes that the feud between Yuki Ueno and Yusuke Okada will have legs. Some good stuff between them so far.

The feud of the Spring is here, Saki Akai’s photobook against The Young Bucks book! If “Killing The Business” can pin “Lip Hip Shake” then it will become the 1,500th Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion!

ALL OUT will have disbanded by the time this show happens. This will be the first match Konosuke Takeshita and Yuki Iino will be opponents in unaffiliated from each other.

DDT “WRESTLING OKEHAZAMA 2021”, 19/03/2021
Nagoya Naka Sports Center

1. DDT Sauna Club Vs DAMNATION!: Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & MAO Vs Soma Takao, Yuji Hino & Mad Paulie
2. Nagoya Specialty Doerya 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & HARASHIMA Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Chris Brookes & Keigo Nakamura

With ALL OUT gone that means Takeshita & Katsumata are fully dedicated to the DDT Sauna Club.

DDT “WRESTLE SHIOKOBU! 2021”, 20/03/2021
Osaka City Suminoe Maikon Hall

1. Keigo Nakamura Trial Single Match: Keigo Nakamura Vs Maku Donaruto
2. DDT Sauna Club Vs DAMNATION!: Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Ueno Vs Yuji Hino & Mad Paulie
3. I Love It! Osaka Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi & Yusuke Okada Vs Kazusada Higuchi, Yukio Sakaguchi & Toui Kojima

Maku Donaruto returns! Good luck Keigo Nakamura!

BASARA “BASARA 150 ~KINKON ICHIBAN~” Results

February 25, 2021

BASARA “BASARA 150 ~KINKON ICHIBAN~”, 25/02/2021
Shinjuku FACE
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Akiyori Takizawa defeated Takato Nakano with the Sleng Teng (8:09).
2. Daichi Kazato & Gouma defeated Fuminori Abe & Masato Kamino when Kazato pinned Kamino with the Opa (8:21).
3. Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga when SAGAT pinned Senga after the Triple Body Press (12:48).
4. FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi defeated Isami Kodaka, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita when Kubo submitted Kodaka with a Crossface Lock (12:02).
5. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Yasu Urano with the Zudon (18:56).
*V3 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Yasu Urano said he will take a short break away from BASARA after he failed to win the Union MAX Title from Takumi Tsukamoto. He can’t win the belt while Tsukamoto has it so when he does come back he will instead chase after the IRON FIST TAG Titles. When Urano left, Daichi Kazato entered the ring, bounced from the ropes a bit and left without saying anything. It was only after the show when he explained that was his way of asking for a title shot.

Yusuke Kubo made Isami Kodaka tap out in the 6-Man Tag match. He told Kodaka that he shouldn’t feel but think instead. And this result should give him plenty to think about when Kubo & FUMA challenges Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura for the IRON FIST TAG Titles on 23rd March.

BASARA “BASARA 149 ~GLITTER~” Results

February 16, 2021

BASARA “BASARA 149 ~GLITTER~”, 16/02/2021
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Withheld

1. Daichi Kazato defeated Takato Nakano with the Opa (8:19).
2. Handicap Match: FUMA & Yusuke Kubo defeated Minoru Fujita, Gouma & Rekka when FUMA pinned Gouma when FUMA submitted Gouma with a Crab Hold (7:47).
3. Jacket Match: Ryota Nakatsu defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with a Cross Heel Hold (R3 1:45).
4. Yasu Urano, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga defeated Takumi Tsukamoto, Fuminori Abe & Masato Kamino when Urano pinned Kamino with a Cradle (12:10).
5. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura (c) defeated SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa when Shimomura pinned Takizawa with the Swanton Bomb (13:38).
*V1 for Sento Minzoku.

Sento Minzoku were challenged by FUMA & Yusuke Kubo for the IRON FIST Tag Titles in a rematch from last year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT semi-final. FUMA is convinced the result back then wasn’t right and that IRON PRIEST is the better team. Daiki Shimomura accepted and wants the match to happen on 23rd March.

Yasu Urano tried to lull Takumi Tsukamoto into a false sense of security with a handshake after their match. Tsukamoto knew what was coming and blocked a sneak kick Urano threw at him. Tsukamoto then pulled a plastic bag out of his pocket and tried to suffocate Urano with it until the others at ringside pulled them apart.

Ryota Nakatsu is getting invested in the Jacket Match concept. He is keeping a ranking and currently places himself in first. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi went into the match ranked 7th and there was no change after Nakatsu tapped him out.

DDT “KAWASAKI STRONG 2021”, 14/02/2021

1. Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani Vs Yusuke Okada & Toui Kojima
2. Yuki Iino Return Match ~ DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Mad Paulie & Yuji Hino Vs Konosuke Takeshita, Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino
3. Super Joshi War ~Blooming Flowers~: Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi Vs Saori Anou & Miyako Matsumoto
4. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Super Delfin, Chris Brookes & Maki Itoh Vs MAO, Keigo Nakamura & Mirai Maiumi
5. Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya

7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Yukio Sakaguchi
8. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Jun Akiyama

When we last left Tetsuya Endo, he teased about having a secret training partner to help him prepare for Jun Akiyama. His only hint was this trainer is somebody who knows Akiyama inside and out. Well the secret has been revealed and that trainer is Kenta Kobashi! Endo has been training at Kobashi’s fitness gym in Tokyo after he approached Kobashi for advice. Kobashi knew about Endo beating Akiyama during the D-Ou Grand Prix but explained that a tournament match is different from a championship match. Akiyama won’t allow himself to lose to the same opponent twice in a row. He will also be more ruthless because he is now a freelancer and failing to win a championship will affect his wrestling career more than usual. His advice to Endo is to ruthlessly target Akiyama’s knees, especially the left one that he just had surgery on. If Endo can make Akiyama panic, then Endo has a chance to win. Simply doing the same stuff he did in the Grand Prix match won’t work a second time. Kobashi wants Endo to be bold and dynamic to broaden his wrestling style.

Kobashi is throwing his support behind Endo to defend the KO-D Openweight Title. He hopes to see Endo get fired up to do the Shooting Star Press just like he he used to fire up before doing the Moonsault. He also gave Endo dating advice when he found out Endo is single. Endo explained his type to him. He likes women with big boobs such as Tomomi Morisaki. Kobashi bragged about meeting Morisaki at a public event just one month ago. Also as a champion, he explained if Endo treats the belt well the belt will be happy and will always come back to him.

Kobashi will attend the show to provide special guest commentary for the main event. Akiyama has since pointed out that whenever Kobashi appears to watch his title matches, he usually wins.

Yuki Ueno is hoping to clear out all of his bitter memories of Yukio Sakaguchi beating him up. If he successfully defends the DDT UNIVERSAL Title against him then he can spend the rest of 2021 having fun and loving saunas. Ueno has been getting advice from Shinya Aoki to prepare for the match. Sakaguchi thinks the message that has been sent over the last few weeks is he’s strong while Ueno is weak. The two met for commemorative photo during the week and Sakaguchi tried to grab the belt from Ueno. Ueno told him if he wants to take pictures with the belt he should win it on the 14th. Sakaguchi punched Ueno in the stomach and posed with the belt.

Most of the women are excited for their match. Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi are motivated to team together and even form a competitive rivalry of some sort. Saori Anou on the other hand isn’t pleased to be teaming with Miyako Matsumoto. She would much rather be on the same team as Akai or Yukihi. Matsumoto says the best thing about DDT is anything is possible and you are free to do anything. To her the charm of joshi wrestling is not just the glitter but also the grime. She wants Anou to understand that so they can work as a team.

2. THE HALFEE Vs Watase Manase: Moeka Haruhi & Shu Sakurai Vs Mizuki Watase & Yuna Manase
3. Ganpro Vs Aka Rangers: Ken Ohka & Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Takashi Sasaki & GENTARO
4. GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Keisuke Ishii, Kouki Iwasaki & HARUKAZE (c) Vs Asuka, Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga
5. STOP THE Hidaka! Special Single Match: Yumehito Imanari Vs Ikuto Hidaka

I love the name of the main event. ZERO1 had “STOP THE Matsunaga”. Ganbare☆Pro gets “STOP THE Hidaka!” It’s only fitting for the ZERO1 connection that Yumehito Imanari becomes maybe the last man standing in the way of Ikuto Hidaka. Imanari made a promise to be the messiah for Ganpro.

The new GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions already have a road map set out. The trio called DREAMS HARU TRUE want to defend the belts against Pocchari Joshi. However, Asuka demanded her team with Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga get another shot at the titles first because she will only wrestle in Ganpro for championships. She gets what she wants because Ken Ohka is worried she will walk out of the company, especially right before she could potentially become a breakout star in the AEW women’s tournament.

Ohka gets a second chance against the Aka Rangers. That’s if they can make it to the venue in time. Takashi Sasaki & GENTARO already have another match happening at a FREEDOMS and 2AW co-promoted show in Chiba earlier that day.

Even though he no longer has the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title around his waist, Shota still wants to bring the independent spirit to Ganpro. He is bringing in Hyper Brave G-Valion for a match. G-Valion is from a small Tokyo promotion called BRAVES.

8. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita & MAO

MAO is happy to see his generation are now the main eventers of DDT. It’s a fight he never wants to give up. Konosuke Takeshita agrees and said the DDT Sauna Club runs in the centre of DDT. They main event Korakuen Hall, they’re main eventing Nagoya Congress Center and now they want the KO-D Tag Team Titles to add to their growing championship haul. These are just the kind of opponents Kazusada Higuchi is looking for. Also Sakaguchi disagrees about the age thing. Everyone from HARASHIMA to Danshoku Dieno are all doing their best no matter their age.

BASARA “BASARA 146 ~5TH ANNIVERSARY~” Results

January 20, 2021

BASARA “BASARA 146 ~5TH ANNIVERSARY~”, 20/01/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall
??? Fans

1. Ryuichi Sekine Vs Ryota Nakatsu ended in a Time Limit Draw (10:00).
2. Dragon Contra Dragon: Gouma Ryu Vs Trans-Am ★ Ryuji ended in a Double Countout (6:30).
*Both Gouma Ryu and Trans-Am ★ Ryuji cannot use Ryu in their name anymore.
3. Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato defeated Naoki Tanizaki, SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa when Kubo pinned SAGAT with the Death Metal Roll (9:17).
4. Minoru Fujita & Ikuto Hidaka defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when Fujita pinned Nakano with the SAYONARA Modified Tombstone Piledriver (12:05).
5. Match For The Right To Take The Name Ryuichi Sekine II: Fuminori Abe defeated Yasu Urano with the Manjigatame (5:40).
*Fuminori Abe wins the right to take the name Ryuichi Sekine II.
6. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura defeated Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) when Kodaka pinned Oosugi with a Backwards Cradle (12:35).
*Speed Of Sounds fail in V8. Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura become the 3rd IRON FIST Tag Champions!
7. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated FUMA with the Running Zudon (16:35).
*V1 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Takumi Tsukamoto and FUMA have become different people in the five years since BASARA was launched. Tsukamoto admits that his style of wrestling does not match with FUMA’s. But that is why he wanted to beat him today in order to retain the Union MAX Title. He was nervous to defend the title in the main event of BASARA’s 5th Anniversary and he is proud to be a double champion along with the BJW Death Match Title he won on 2nd January. Yusuke Kubo challenged Tsukamoto for the MAX Title on 26th January. Kubo wants it to be an exciting match between two wrestlers from Kyushu.

The IRON FIST Tag Titles are now claimed by Sento Minzoku! The new champions edged out the win when Isami Kodaka countered the Tsuki no Ishi into a cradle for the three count. Kodaka felt he was at his limit and his partner Daiki Shimomura was the key for their victory today. Shimomura wants to nominate their first challengers as soon as possible while Kodaka is more patient and prefers to wait for a team to challenge them. He understands the scenery of BASARA is changing around him so he wants to have more fun with the position he is in. For Speed Of Sounds they are thinking about taking a different direction after having a dominant title reign. Both Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga want to chase after singles titles because they are more than just as a tag team.

Since Ryuichi Sekine is going to take time off soon, Match #5 was chosen to determine who will become Ryuichi Sekine II. Both Fuminori Abe and Yasu Urano entered to Sekine’s entrance music and attempted to use his moves on each other. Abe couldn’t decide on which of Sekine’s move to use for the finish so he went for his own Manjigatame instead. He then told everyone only the original Ryuichi Sekine should use the Let’s Combine and he hopes he will come back when he feels like it.

The double countout in the Dragon Contra Dragon match happened when Trans-Am ★ Ryuji chased Gouma Ryu around ringside. They scrambled to get back in before the twenty count but both fell to the floor as the referee counted 20. As a result, both Gouma Ryu and Trans-Am ★ Ryuji will get “Ryu” stripped from their names.

Sekine assures everyone he is not retiring after his match with Ryota Nakatsu. He just needs a break because right now he can no longer do various things at once. He wants to take time off, study something new and maybe when he comes back he will be 2 meters tall and can enter the heavyweight division.

6. IRON FIST Tag Titles: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) Vs Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura
7. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) Vs FUMA

BASARA celebrates its 5th anniversary tomorrow. Takumi Tsukamoto and FUMA were two of the wrestlers who main evented the promotion’s debut show. The others from that match were Isami Kodaka (in the IRON FIST Tag Titles match) and Daichi Kazato (in Match #3).

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “POSITIVE CHAIN”, 11/02/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Marika Kobashi & Moka Miyamoto Vs Pom Harajuku & Haruna Neko
2. Yuna Manase, Nao Kakuta & Raku Vs Hikari Noa, Mahiro Kiryu & Sena Shiori
3. Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki Vs Suzume & Arisu Endo
4. Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh Vs Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel

6. International Princess Title: Yuki Kamifuku (c) Vs Mirai Maiumi
7. Princess Of Princess Title: Rika Tatsumi (c) Vs Miu Watanabe

A peculiar challenge awaits The Bakuretsu Sisters. Their second Princess Tag Team Titles defence is against a team made up of former champions when they were under different personas. Shoko Nakajima was one of the first champions but she is Shin Ultra Shoko this month. Hyper Misao was a champion but that was when she discarded her superhero form in search for power. How will they fare as a superpowered duo?

A hot headed Maki Itoh demanded a handicap match against NEO Biishiki-gun. It was refused for being too unfair for her. She had to drag Miyu Yamashita into the scene to get it accepted as a tag match instead. Yamashita doesn’t have a good record against Sakisama so a chance to even the score is motivation for her while Itoh gets to scrap with Mei Saint-Michel.

2. Special Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Yamato Vs HUB & Yasutaka Oosera

There’s no DAMNATION mutiny to ruin the planning of the show this time. Hagane Shinno made it clear during his Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title run that that he wants to fight wrestlers worth his time while his career is in its twilight period. Tetsuya Endo should fit the bill quite nicely.

6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) Vs CIMA & Soma Takao
7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Shota

Shota is having a late career resurgence, winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles and Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title in short succession. He believes that is why Yuki Ueno accepted his challenge for the DDT UNIVERSAL Title. Shota wants to become a leader of the independent scene in 2021 and travel around the world for wrestling. He thinks winning the UNIVERSAL Title will get him overseas bookings. Ueno didn’t want to end 2020 with him getting pinned by Shota so his new year resolution is to avenge that loss as soon as possible. He should respect Shota more and not look down on that result but as the UNIVERSAL Champion he has a standard to live up to. He must not let the title go to someone who can’t decide if he is indie or major.

Unless he shows up on 3rd January, this is Daisuke Sasaki’s return match from injury.

She also wants it to be a Street Fight because of the championship’s origins with FMW.

Ikuto Hidaka’s appearances in Ganpro this year was to show he still has a lot left in the tank despite his age. Keisuke Ishii wants to see it for himself after he beat Hidaka in a tag match a few days ago.

In August Matsumoto & Chris Brookes lost to the Pocchari Joshi team of Yumehito Imanari & Yuna Manase at a Bakuha Koshien show. The rematch under Gake no Fuchi Joshi rules promises to be a lot more crazier.

2. Special 6-Man Tag Match: Super Delfin, Chris Brookes & Maki Itoh Vs MAO, Keigo Nakamura & Mirai Maiumi
3. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Jun Akiyama

The D-Ou Grand Prix is over for another year and the winner Jun Akiyama gets the KO-D Openweight Title shot against Tetsuya Endo in February. Akiyama put over Endo and the KO-D Title huge by including Endo with Tetsuya Naito and Go Shiozaki as the only three champions that matter to him. Endo did beat Akiyama in their D-Ou group match so Akiyama needs to fight his heart out if he wants to win. Endo watched the final between Akiyama and Konosuke Takeshita, leaving him with some strong opinions. He can tell the difference between the two wrestlers. According to Endo, Takeshita only thinks about himself while Akiyama is thinking about the entire wrestling industry. Endo likes the praise of his title reign he is getting from Akiyama and it makes him proud of increasing the KO-D Title’s value. So when Endo beats Akiyama again in Culttz Kawasaki, he will call the KO-D Title the number one championship in Japan and himself the number one wrestler in Japan!

The Young Communication Generation want to defend the 6-Man Tag Titles against the top wrestlers in DDT. To them that means the top names from the generation before them.

The #STRONGHEARTS contingent of CIMA, T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Shigehiro Irie will be on the show. Although I don’t know if Irie will be associated with the group when it comes to the match making.

1. Banana Senga defeated Takato Nakano with a Cross Body Turnback (7:01).
2. Tsutomu Oosugi defeated Gouma Ryu with the Tsuki no Ishi (7:05).
3. Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a No Contest (12:34).

6. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura defeated Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT when Kodaka pinned Nakatsu with the Isamiashi Zan (20:26).

A Sento Minzoku team has won this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT! The team of Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura will now challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles at Korakuen Hall on 20th January.

Takumi Tsukamoto chose his opponent for the main event of BASARA’s 5th Anniversary show. He narrowed it down to FUMA and Daichi Kazato because he faced against both of them in the main event tag of the very first BASARA show. In the end, Tsukamoto chose FUMA and their match will have the Union MAX Title on the line.

The Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a draw when Hiroshi began to sing “Silent Night”. Fujita joined in and they left the ring together in harmony while the match was still going on. The referee called off the match because the wrestlers had no reason to fight each other.
