Round 2 for King Of DDT takes place this Saturday with eight wrestlers being whittled down to four. DAMNATION T.A have a chance to fill up half of the semi-finals if Daisuke Sasaki and Hideki Okatani both win their matches. HARASHIMA hardly broke a sweat in his 1st Round match though and Yuki Ueno is feeling pretty motivated to climb back to the top of DDT too. KANON is calling himself the “Yukio Naya Killer” because Naya has never beaten him in their previous singles matches. That also leaves Kazusada Higuchi and Takeshi Masada fighting each other over one of the remaining spots.

When Round 2 has been completed a lottery will be held to pair off the semi-final matches.

Since there is no guarantee that the dogs in the main event will behave themselves, Danshoku Dieno decided to book a stable, no nonsense singles match between Akito and Yukio Naya as an insurance plan just in case the main event goes wrong.

The Beer Garden show will also begin DDT’s celebration of Toru Owashi wrestling on their shows for 20 years. He first showed up on DDT’s doorstep in 2005 and he’s been working with the company almost ever since, save for a year long hiatus he took from wrestling in 2011.

He can recently be seen on Tochigi Pro shows as well as HEAT-UP.

Back in the Union Pro days they had a tsundere relationship where Shirai dominated Ohka but could never quite want to get rid of him. They had a regular spot where she would submit Ohka with a Headscissors and boy did writing about that in my show reports at the time result in some readers searching my site hoping to find similar fetish wrestling content. WordPress kept track of the search terms back then you perverts!

Oh, also The Great Sasuke and Kyoko Inoue will be on the show too.

Things aren’t going Mr. Bueno’s way lately so maybe a spiritual battle with Fuminori Abe will cure what ails him.

We also last saw Great King Ueki & Munek capture the soul of Ram Kaichow, leaving her body behind as a husk following after them. Are they satisfied with what they got or do they want more? Throwing The Brahman Brothers against them is only going to cause chaos even if no soul catching takes place.

Before Yoshiko Hasegawa retires she still has a few things to check off her list. Most important of all is challenging Suzume for the International Princess Title. Her idea got a negative response from some fans but she decided in the end to go through with it and eventually got everyone’s approval. Suzume will earn her 4th defence if she wins this match and that’s about the level her kind of IP Title reign usually reaches.

Jada Stone is advertised for the show. Yesterday she vaguely tweeted “Sadly, All Good Things Must Come To An End…” along with a highlight video of herself. So she’s making it sound like she’s either about to call it quits or she just got signed somewhere.

The “TJPW INSPIRATION” show is being brought back for Tokyo Joshi Pro’s first event at the new TOKYO SQUARE In Itabashi venue. The main event sees the two strongest TJPW wrestlers currently in Japan taking on the two youngest members of the roster. The youthful energy of Daisy Monkey will be pitted against the combination of years old wisdom plus earnestness found in Gabai Ji-chan & Mahiro Kiryu.

Plus Hasegawa gets two special matches with special guests involved. The main one is a tag match with against Tae Honma & Miyuki Takase bringing back memories of Actwres girl’z for the three of them. But also there will be a short exhibition match against Ai Shimizu, who has not wrestled since 2017. The two of them once starred in a wrestling themed play together back when they were both actresses and Shimizu was already gone from the wrestling business by the time Hasegawa debuted so they never got to be in the ring together. Hasegawa wanted it to happen so she came up with the idea to do an exhibition match and convinced Shimizu to do it.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 21: THE BEGINNING OF THE END” Results

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 21: THE BEGINNING OF THE END”, 15/04/2025

1. Acoustic Guitar Death Match: Antonio Honda defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi with a Backslide Pin (11:50).
2. Ram Kaichow & Chie Fukukaichow defeated Great King Ueki & Munek when Fukukaichow pinned Munek with a School Boy (7:14).
3. Special Single Match ~Goodbye Keigo~: MAO defeated Keigo Nakamura with the Iai Kick (14:04).
4. BK-G Openweight Title – Triple Threat Match: Mr. Malo defeated Chris Brookes (c) and Mr. Bueno when Malo pinned Bueno with a Cradle (17:50).
*Chris Brookes fails in V2. Mr. Malo becomes the 2nd BK-G Openweight Champion!

There are always alliances to be made and broken in a Triple Threat Match. Add in multiple language barriers and the whole thing becomes a lot more difficult. Chris Brookes tried to set up double team moves with Mr. Malo but they couldn’t figure out what to do. So Mr. Bueno tried to join Brookes’s side only for more confusion to break out, leading to Brookes suffering multiple attacks to his groin. Malo took advantage of the situation by blinding Yukinori Matsui with his poncho so he could give Brookes another Low Blow. Daisuke Kiso then came out as Matsui’s replacement only for Malo to throw him at the other wrestlers. Matsui returned as the match broke down into a free for all. Malo blinded him again and smashed a glass bottle over Brookes’s head for a nearfall. Bueno hit Brookes with the Rolling Glove, then climbed the bar counter to do a Flying Body Press. But when he landed the move on Brookes, Malo suddenly cradled Bueno for the three count to win the match and become the new BK-G Openweight Champion!

After the match Malo in a deep voice called himself today’s star of the show. There is a word in Mexico he can compare Baka Gaijin to and that word is Tonto. The wrestlers are tonto, the audience are tonto and everything in this space is tonto. Viva tonto! He walked off with the title belt, leaving everyone else in Baka Gaijin feeling a little sad to end the show.

Things are going to be different for a few DDT wrestlers now that Keigo Nakamura is going away on an excursion. MAO asked while they were wrestling who will now come pick him up whenever he misses the last train? He then reminisced over memories of his own excursions while he was beating Nakamura up. MAO ultimately wished him luck and said goodbye before he pinned Nakamura with the Iai Kick. Nakamura thanked MAO and told the fans he is going to challenge himself overseas.

Things still aren’t right with Takayuki Ueki and Munetatsu Nakamura. They showed up still possessed by evil spirits and were introduced again as Great King Ueki and Munek. There were changes afoot for Chie Koishikawa as well because she showed up with Ram Kaichow wearing the same makeup. So if Ram is the president that means Chie is her vice president. That’s right, she became Chie Fukukaichow! The two of them stopped Ueki & Munek from kidnapping a fan, foiling their plot to get free drinks poured for them at the bar. The villains tried using magic on their opponents by summoning an invisible wall but it backfired when Ueki ran into it. Chie then pushed Munek into the wall and pinned him with a School Boy to win. But just when it seemed like the day was saved, Ueki used his magical vase to capture Ram’s soul and turn her body into a rambling slave. Before the three left, Ueki threatened that he, Munek and Ram will take Baka Gaijin + Friends to the depths of hell!

Before the first match began, Antonio Honda revealed to Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi that it will be an Acoustic Guitar Death Match. Honda had a guitar with him and said it is allowed to be used as a weapon. However he told Hiroshi that they had to build the match up to using the guitar because even in Big Japan you don’t just immediately hit your opponent with a lighttube. So they wrestled the match as normal until Honda got to the Gongitsune spot. Hiroshi noticed that Honda sounded sadder than usual so he asked if anything happened to him lately? Honda broke down and said his heart was recently broken. He wished he didn’t have a heart because then it wouldn’t hurt so much. Hiroshi passionatly told Honda that having hearts makes humans do what they want and change the world. The speech turned into a song where Honda played the guitar and Hiroshi sang along to it. Then when the song ended Honda hit Hiroshi in the stomach with the guitar and rolled him up in a Backslide Pin for a three count.

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 20: LIFE IS PEACHY” Results

BAKA GAIJIN + FRIENDS “VOL. 20: LIFE IS PEACHY”, 04/03/2025

1. Special Tag Match: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Shota & Soma Takao when Takanashi pinne Shota with the Bacchus (16:16).
2. Special Single Match: Hagane Shinno defeated Ram Kaichow with a Crushed Onryo Clutch (8:36).
3. Antonio Honda & Antonio Honda XL defeated Great King Ueki & Munek when Honda pinned Munek with the Super Bionic Elbow (11:58).
4. Special Single Match: Shuji Ishikawa defeated Mr. Bueno with the Running Knee Lift (15:03).

A big mystery challenge awaited Mr. Bueno at Baka Gaijin & Friends and they don’t come bigger than Shuji Ishikawa! Despite the intimidating first impression, Bueno told Ishikawa to “come on, big boy” when the match began. Ishikawa overpowered him early and would barely budge for Bueno’s attacks. The chops thrown by Ishikawa were strong enough to knock him into the rows of fans sitting in the room. But Bueno would not give up because he is a Baka Gaijin. The only way he could throw Ishikawa off his game was to make him corpse by calling him cute but even that couldn’t do much. Antonio Honda couldn’t stand by and watch Ueno get beaten up so he led all of the Baka Gaijin in a train attack on Ishikawa to finally knock the big dog off his feet. Bueno was able to hit a Diving Body Press from the bar counter but it only got him a 2 Count. He also dodged the Giant Driver, hit a Flying Somato and also found the power to do a Body Slam. In a last ditch effort he applied a Sleeper Hold. Sadly for him, Ishikawa powered out of it, Headbutted him, hit the Kamigoye and then did the Giant Driver. Bueno somehow kicked out so Ishikawa had to use the Running Knee Lift to win the match.

Three matches were advertised for the show. The unexpected fourth came when Takayuki Ueki and Munetatsu Nakamura showed up looking different than they normally do. They were now Great King Ueki and his servant Munek, possessed by an evil spirit from a magical vase they found a few days ago. They were here to crash the show and go chat up some cute girls in the audience. After they found one and held her captive, Antonio Honda & Antonio Honda XL came to the rescue, demanded “Princess Peach” be freed and challenged Ueki & Munek to a match. The Super Honda Brothers hit their opponents with Gongitsune and also the Super Bionic Elbow to win. As a result the fan was rescued, Ueki & Nakamura were freed from their spell and ARENA Shimokitazawa was safe once again.

Just taking a kick at the start of the match made Ram Kaichow realized she was in for a long night. Hagane Shinno’s wrestling skills outmatched her own and she was reaching her limit just trying to fight back. She was able to Choke Slam Shinno and hit him with a Low Blow to set up the Onryo Clutch. However Shinno blocked the Clutch and countered it into a cradle to pin Kaichow for the three count.

Later this month Chris Brookes and Masahiro Takanashi will face each other for the KO-D Openweight Title at DDT’s 28th Anniversary show. Today that was nothing to worry about because CDK were teaming up to face ROMANCE DAWN for the first time since their 2022 feud in Ganbare☆Pro. There were a lot of double team moves within the short space they fought in. A Neckbreaker/Dropkick combo got rid of Soma Takao but Shota kept fighting despite the numbers disadvantage. His luck ran out when Takanashi countered the Gannosuke Clutch into the Bacchus for the pinfall. The two teams gestured having another match together sometime. Takanashi then took a look at the KO-D Title and wished Brookes the best before leaving the room.

The next Baka Gaijin & Friends show will be on 15th April.
