DDT “KAWASAKI STRONG 2021”, 14/02/2021
Culttz Kawasaki

1. Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani Vs Yusuke Okada & Toui Kojima
2. Yuki Iino Return Match ~ DAMNATION Vs ALL OUT!: Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Mad Paulie & Yuji Hino Vs Konosuke Takeshita, Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yuki Iino
3. Super Joshi War ~Blooming Flowers~: Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi Vs Saori Anou & Miyako Matsumoto

5. Special Tag Match: HARASHIMA & Yuji Okabayashi Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Naya
6. KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Titles: Sanshiro Takagi, Danshoku Dieno, Toru Owashi & Makoto Oishi Vs Shinya Aoki, Super Sasadango Machine, Antonio Honda & Kazuki Hirata
7. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Yuki Ueno (c) Vs Yukio Sakaguchi
8. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Jun Akiyama

When we last left Tetsuya Endo, he teased about having a secret training partner to help him prepare for Jun Akiyama. His only hint was this trainer is somebody who knows Akiyama inside and out. Well the secret has been revealed and that trainer is Kenta Kobashi! Endo has been training at Kobashi’s fitness gym in Tokyo after he approached Kobashi for advice. Kobashi knew about Endo beating Akiyama during the D-Ou Grand Prix but explained that a tournament match is different from a championship match. Akiyama won’t allow himself to lose to the same opponent twice in a row. He will also be more ruthless because he is now a freelancer and failing to win a championship will affect his wrestling career more than usual. His advice to Endo is to ruthlessly target Akiyama’s knees, especially the left one that he just had surgery on. If Endo can make Akiyama panic, then Endo has a chance to win. Simply doing the same stuff he did in the Grand Prix match won’t work a second time. Kobashi wants Endo to be bold and dynamic to broaden his wrestling style.

Kobashi is throwing his support behind Endo to defend the KO-D Openweight Title. He hopes to see Endo get fired up to do the Shooting Star Press just like he he used to fire up before doing the Moonsault. He also gave Endo dating advice when he found out Endo is single. Endo explained his type to him. He likes women with big boobs such as Tomomi Morisaki. Kobashi bragged about meeting Morisaki at a public event just one month ago. Also as a champion, he explained if Endo treats the belt well the belt will be happy and will always come back to him.

Kobashi will attend the show to provide special guest commentary for the main event. Akiyama has since pointed out that whenever Kobashi appears to watch his title matches, he usually wins.

Yuki Ueno is hoping to clear out all of his bitter memories of Yukio Sakaguchi beating him up. If he successfully defends the DDT UNIVERSAL Title against him then he can spend the rest of 2021 having fun and loving saunas. Ueno has been getting advice from Shinya Aoki to prepare for the match. Sakaguchi thinks the message that has been sent over the last few weeks is he’s strong while Ueno is weak. The two met for commemorative photo during the week and Sakaguchi tried to grab the belt from Ueno. Ueno told him if he wants to take pictures with the belt he should win it on the 14th. Sakaguchi punched Ueno in the stomach and posed with the belt.

Most of the women are excited for their match. Saki Akai & Maya Yukihi are motivated to team together and even form a competitive rivalry of some sort. Saori Anou on the other hand isn’t pleased to be teaming with Miyako Matsumoto. She would much rather be on the same team as Akai or Yukihi. Matsumoto says the best thing about DDT is anything is possible and you are free to do anything. To her the charm of joshi wrestling is not just the glitter but also the grime. She wants Anou to understand that so they can work as a team.

BASARA “BASARA 149 ~GLITTER~”, 16/02/2021
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

2. Handicap Match: Minoru Fujita, Gouma & Rekka Vs FUMA & Yusuke Kubo

GANBARE☆PRO “CLIFFHANGER 2021”, 21/02/2021

4. GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Keisuke Ishii, Kouki Iwasaki & HARUKAZE (c) Vs Asuka, Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga
5. STOP THE Hidaka! Special Single Match: Yumehito Imanari Vs Ikuto Hidaka

I love the name of the main event. ZERO1 had “STOP THE Matsunaga”. Ganbare☆Pro gets “STOP THE Hidaka!” It’s only fitting for the ZERO1 connection that Yumehito Imanari becomes maybe the last man standing in the way of Ikuto Hidaka. Imanari made a promise to be the messiah for Ganpro.

The new GWC 6-Man Tag Team Champions already have a road map set out. The trio called DREAMS HARU TRUE want to defend the belts against Pocchari Joshi. However, Asuka demanded her team with Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga get another shot at the titles first because she will only wrestle in Ganpro for championships. She gets what she wants because Ken Ohka is worried she will walk out of the company, especially right before she could potentially become a breakout star in the AEW women’s tournament.

Ohka gets a second chance against the Aka Rangers. That’s if they can make it to the venue in time. Takashi Sasaki & GENTARO already have another match happening at a FREEDOMS and 2AW co-promoted show in Chiba earlier that day.

Even though he no longer has the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title around his waist, Shota still wants to bring the independent spirit to Ganpro. He is bringing in Hyper Brave G-Valion for a match. G-Valion is from a small Tokyo promotion called BRAVES.

DDT “FRIENDSHIP, EFFORT, VICTORY IN NAGOYA 2021”, 23/02/2021

6. DDT Megatonweight Single Match: Yuji Hino Vs Yuki Iino
7. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Akito, Kazuki Hirata & Shota (c) Vs Sanshiro Takagi, HARASHIMA & Danshoku Dieno
8. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi (c) Vs Konosuke Takeshita & MAO

MAO is happy to see his generation are now the main eventers of DDT. It’s a fight he never wants to give up. Konosuke Takeshita agrees and said the DDT Sauna Club runs in the centre of DDT. They main event Korakuen Hall, they’re main eventing Nagoya Congress Center and now they want the KO-D Tag Team Titles to add to their growing championship haul. These are just the kind of opponents Kazusada Higuchi is looking for. Also Sakaguchi disagrees about the age thing. Everyone from HARASHIMA to Danshoku Dieno are all doing their best no matter their age.

BASARA “BASARA 150 ~KINKON ICHIBAN~”, 25/02/2021
Shinjuku FACE

1. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) Vs Yasu Urano

Tsukamoto has two championships to take care of with little time to rest in between. His Union MAX Title defence is happening just a week after his first BJW Death Match Title defence.

DDT “INTO THE FIGHT 2021”, 28/02/2021
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title – 5 Way Match: The Young Bucks Autobiography “Killing The Business” (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata Vs Danshoku Dieno Vs Antonio Honda Vs Saki Akai
2. DDT Extreme Title: Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs MAO

No matter who wins in the main event, the DDT Extreme Title will stay within the Sauna Club for the time being. Shunma Katsumata is also someone with a busy schedule coming up. He is entering the Ikki Tousen Death Match tournament in Big Japan next month.

The book has been booked.

BASARA “BASARA 147 ~GLITTER~” Results

January 26, 2021

BASARA “BASARA 147 ~GLITTER~”, 26/01/2021
Shin-Kiba 1st RING
??? Fans – Withheld

1. FUMA & Rekka defeated Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino when FUMA submitted Nakano with a Tiger Dance Hold (11:17).
2. SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato when Takizawa pinned Hiroshi with the Tilt 3 (10:24).
3. BASARA Official Rule Jacket Match: Ryota Nakatsu defeated Gouma with a Rear Naked Choke (R4 0:14).
4. Fuminori Abe, Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Yasu Urano defeated Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita when Abe pinned Sekine with a Crucifix Pin (10:22).
5. Union MAX Title: Takumi Tsukamoto (c) defeated Yusuke Kubo with a Reverse Crab Hold (15:24).
*V2 for Takumi Tsukamoto.

Yasu Urano challenged Takumi Tsukamoto for the Union MAX Title and wanted it to happen right there and then just like when he challenged for the Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Title at Ganbare☆Pro recently. Tsukamoto asked for some rest and the two eventually agreed to have the title match on 25th February. Urano kept asking for the match to happen as soon as possible but Tsukamoto wants the match to happen at a big show like the February Shinjuku FACE event. He has a busy schedule that week in February because he will be defending the BJW Death Match Title a few days before.

Everyone in Match #4 did the Kamikaze to each other as their way of saying goodbye to Ryuichi Sekine. When it was Sekine’s turn to do it on Fuminori Abe they both broke down into tears. Sekine was encouraged to finish the move but Abe countered it into a Crucifix Pin for the three count. Isami Kodaka encouraged Sekine to enjoy his break from wrestling and to remember this is not a retirement. He will come back to the ring someday.

Match #3 was turned into an MMA style Jacket Match. Both Ryota Nakatsu and Gouma had to fight in a judo jacket with fingerless gloves. Nakatsu dominated the fight and drained Gouma’s energy until he was finally choked out in Round 4.

SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa want to challenge for the IRON FIST TAG Titles.

6. IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT – Final: Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura defeated Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT when Kodaka pinned Nakatsu with the Isamiashi Zan (20:26).

A Sento Minzoku team has won this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT! The team of Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura will now challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles at Korakuen Hall on 20th January.

Takumi Tsukamoto chose his opponent for the main event of BASARA’s 5th Anniversary show. He narrowed it down to FUMA and Daichi Kazato because he faced against both of them in the main event tag of the very first BASARA show. In the end, Tsukamoto chose FUMA and their match will have the Union MAX Title on the line.

The Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a draw when Hiroshi began to sing “Silent Night”. Fujita joined in and they left the ring together in harmony while the match was still going on. The referee called off the match because the wrestlers had no reason to fight each other.

The second IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT semi-final will be Ryuichi Sekine & Minoru Fujita Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT. After the main event, Nakatsu called it the de facto final because Sparky beat the new Union MAX Champion in Takumi Tsukamoto and a respected veteran in Yasu Urano.

The rules for the 4 Way Match were created by Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. He was inspired by the Jusenkyo springs from Ranma 1/2 where stepping into the water will transform people into something else, like a cat for example. Sprinkling water onto them would turn them back to normal. So in this match wrestlers began acting like cats whenever they were thrown out of the ring.

Ueno Gets UNIVERSAL Title Shot, Akito Challenges Dieno, Akai & Manase Coming To Wrestle Princess

October 12, 2020

DDT “DDT TV SHOW! #10”, 17/10/2020
DDT TV SHOW Studio

1. 3 Way Match: Soma Takao Vs Antonio Honda Vs Danshoku Dieno
2. Chris Brookes & Shota Vs HARASHIMA & Yuki Ueno
3. Eruption Vs DISASTER BOX!: Yukio Sakaguchi & Saki Akai Vs Naomi Yoshimura & Kazuki Hirata
4. Elimination 8-Man Tag Match: Jun Akiyama, Makoto Oishi, Mizuki Watase & Hideki Okatani Vs Konosuke Takeshita, Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Shinya Aoki
5. Road To Ultimate Party 2020! Special Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie Vs Daisuke Sasaki & Hiroshi Yamato

So DAMNATION seems to be split into two right now. There is the #DAMNHEARTS side led by Tetsuya Endo and there is the Daisuke Sasaki side that has Hiroshi Yamato as the only other member. What would Puma King think of this?

Shinya Aoki comes to ALL OUT’s aid in their fight against Junretsu.

BASARA “BASARA 137 ~GLITTER~”, 27/10/2020
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Takato Nakano Vs Tetsuo Usui
2. Gouma Ryu Vs Minoru Fujita
3. Fuminori Abe, Yasu Urano & Leo Isaka Vs Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine & Daiki Shimomura
4. Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT Vs FUMA & Yusuke Kubo
5. Union MAX Title Next Challenger Decision Match: Takumi Tsukamoto Vs Masato Kamino
6. IRON FIST TAG Titles: Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga (c) Vs Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato

Yesterday, SAGAT lost for the first time as a Sparky member when his former ally Yusuke Kubo pinned him. The chance to avenge that loss comes later this month.

BASARA “BASARA 138 ~THE 6TH FOX PRINCE~”, 31/10/2020
Tokyo Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR

1. Ryota Nakatsu Vs Tetsuo Usui
2. SAGAT Vs Takato Nakano
3. 4 Way Match: Fuminori Abe Vs Takumo Tsukamoto Vs Masato Kamino Vs Yasu Urano
4. Elimination 8-Man Tag Match: Isami Kodaka, Ryuichi Sekine, Daiki Shimomura & Minoru Fujita Vs FUMA, Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato

One less match than usual because all of Sento Minzoku is facing The Iron Family (plus Daichi Kazato). Also Gouma Ryu will be absent from the show so no trial shenanigans either.

DDT “ULTIMATE PARTY 2020”, 03/11/2020
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. MAO Return Battle: MAO Vs Shunma Katsumata
2. Danshoku Dieno Vs Akito
3. DDT Extreme Title – Weapon Rumble: Shinya Aoki (c) Vs Sanshiro Takagi
4. DDT UNIVERSAL Title: Chris Brookes (c) Vs Yuki Ueno
5. Special Tag Match – HarashiMarafuji Vs CimaSoma: HARASHIMA & Naomichi Marufuji Vs CIMA & Soma Takao
6. Special Single Match: Jun Akiyama Vs Konosuke Takeshita
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Daisuke Sasaki

Chris Brookes defended the DDT UNIVERSAL Title against one half of Nautilus so now he takes on the other half. Yuki Ueno took offence to Brookes calling Naomi Yoshimura weak after beating him. Ueno then took more offence when Brookes suggested he is weaker than Yoshimura. He wants to shut Brookes up and take his title. Might even end up becoming a triple crown champion along with the two tag titles when all is said and done

The motivation levels for Akito and Danshoku Dieno seem to be going in opposite directions this year. Akito’s has been rising to the point where he became a Vice President of CyberFight. Dieno is still able to come up with ideas but has he passed his creative peak? A match between the two will provide a barometer for where both will stand in DDT.

The participants for the 2021 D-Ou Grand Prix will be revealed on this show.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “WRESTLE PRINCESS”, 07/11/2020
Tokyo Dome City Hall

1. International Princess Title Tournament – Semi Final: X Vs X
2. International Princess Title Tournament – Semi Final: X Vs X
3. Hyper Misao Vs Saki Akai
4. Princess Tag Team Titles: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe (c) Vs Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino
5. International Princess Title Tournament – Final: X Vs X
6. Princess Of Princess Title: Yuka Sakazaki (c) Vs Mizuki

The first two semi-finalists in the International Princess Title tournament are Shoko Nakajima and Mirai Maiumi.

Saki Akai only wrestles in Tokyo Joshi Pro once or twice a year because DDT is her priority. For her 2020 appearance she will face Hyper Misao in a first time singles meeting. They were on opposite sides of a tag match once in 2015 but I think that may have been retconned into Akai getting replaced by Sakisama for some reason. Oh and there was also the storyline with that Saki Akamiya girl. Whatever happened to her? But enough about that.

Yuna Manase will be on the show. This will be her first appearance in Tokyo Joshi since leaving the promotion back in July. Look at her getting to wrestle everywhere!

*V6 for Speed Of Sounds.
7. Union MAX Title: Fuminori Abe (c) defeated Ryota Nakatsu with the Arm Clutch Manjigatame (14:15).
*V3 for Fuminori Abe.

At the end of the main event, Fuminori Abe thanked Ryota Nakatsu for being a strong rival. Suddenly, Brahman Kei appeared and distracted Abe long enough for Brahman Shu to sneak up and throw powder in his face. The Brahman Brothers then attacked Abe with a Stop sign. They did this because they want to take the Union MAX Title at the next Shin-Kiba 1st RING show on 29th September. Kei will be the one wrestling because Shu is worried he will get sick before the show again. Abe accepted the challenge but was warned by Kei that if he dies, he will fall into hell and be reborn as a maggot! Abe is not part of any unit in BASARA so he asked for Takuya Nomura to help him prepare. As a monk, Abe won’t be reincarnated into a maggot. When he dies he will go to paradise.

Nomura was given the middle finger by Isami Kodaka after their draw.

SAGAT is confirmed to be the newest member of Sparky. He has a new look to fit in with the unit including a yellow Big Van Vader style mask worn for his entrance.

BASARA’s 5th Anniversary show will be held in Korakuen Hall on 20th January.
