Super Sasadango Machine attempted to crash another NOAH show this week to hold negotiations with Takashi Sugiura and Kazushi Sakuraba. He was stopped at the entrance again but this time purchased a ticket to be allowed into the show. Unfortunately he was told by a staff member that neither Sugiura or Sakuraba were present. Sasadango explained to him that he brought gifts for Sugiura and Sakuraba and asked for them to be passed along. Sugiura is getting sasadango dumplings while Sakuraba is getting medicine for his pollen allergies.

X in the Tokyo Joshi Pro opener is still a mystery. YUMI’s big news over the weekend is she’s entering the idol industry as part of a new group called Tokyo Survivor. So that’s her completely out of wrestling now.

January was supposed to be the return match for Masahiro Takanashi after being out of action with knee injuries. However he cancelled his self-produced show due to the pandemic. After months of waiting he finally decided to go ahead with the show and is setting it up for this July. Takanashi’s scheduled opponent hasn’t changed. It’s Fuminori Abe, the man he last fought when his injury happened. This year Takanashi has done an exhibition match and has shown up on some wrestling shows here and there but he hasn’t been in a proper wrestling match since March 2020 where his injury took place.

Also on the show are Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Isami Kodaka, Emi Sakura and the UMA Corps. More are expected to appear.

Super Sasadango Machine tried to invade the NOAH show at Korakuen Hall on Saturday to negotiate who he will fight at Saitama Super Arena. Unfortunately he doesn’t understand how wrestlers are able to crash other companies and couldn’t get past the entrance because he had no ticket for the show.

Now comes the tough job, beating NEO Biishiki-gun. They did it once before in February but NEO Biishiki-gun got their win back in the Max Heart Tournament final a month later. Time for the rubber match!

Now 20 years old, Marika Kobashi is challenging for her first singles title to prove she has grown up. There is some jealousy behind the move because she didn’t like seeing Hikari Noa win the IP Title before she did.

TJPW Doubleheader Suddenly Announced, Full CyberFight Festival Card, Ganpro Mixed Tournament Reactivated

Not a day’s rest without posting an update. Tokyo Joshi Pro will be holding events on 22nd May after all. Their original Azalea Taisho Hall in Osaka event has been pushed back to June and a doubleheader at Oji BASEMENT MON☆STAR in Tokyo takes its place. The roster will be split in half with twelve wrestlers booked for the afternoon show and the other twelve competing in the evening show. However Arisu Endo and Moka Miyamoto will be on both shows. They are the only wrestlers working double duty that day. Gotta get them extra reps in.

It’s been decided that the complete “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” show will contain 14 matches. That’s 3 matches in the STARTING BATTLE pre-show and 11 matches on the main card. The last addition is Danshoku Dieno & Super Sasadango Machine throwing out a challenge to a NOAH team. Sasadango wants Takashi Sugiura and Sugiura-gun in particular for a battle between two very different pro wrestling philosophies. Dieno doesn’t like that idea but is getting dragged into it anyway.

The Ultimate Tag League begins with an upset win and a time limit draw. In the main event The 37 KAMIINA went thirty minutes against DAMNATION without a winner coming out of it. The 37 KAMIINA got to hit MADMAX on Yuji Hino but Daisuke Sasaki pulled the referee out of the ring to prevent the count. Sasaki then brought in a chair to duel with Shunma Katsumata without the ref around to stop them. Sasaki turned his attention to Konosuke Takeshita, giving him a Canadian Destroyer. But his La Mistica attempt was blocked and The 37 KAMIINA gave him an Inverted MADMAX. With minutes remaining, Hino fought off his opponents until the time expired. Both teams start the league with one point each.

The big upset came when Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda defeated Junretsu in their opening league bout. Honda looked like he wanted to start the match off with Jun Akiyama but told Brookes to get out there instead. When it was time for Honda to shine, he tripped over Makoto Oishi and hurt his knee. Honda begged Junretsu to let him tell his Gongitsune joke because his father always looks forward to it. Akiyama knew it was a trick and he blocked Honda’s cheap shot. Oishi trapped Honda in the Fujiyama Knee Lock but Honda Cradled him into a pinfall to get the three count. Backstage Brookes & Honda revealed they have a new team name to replace The European Connection. From now on they are The Iyasareru. Their win today was no accident but a miracle formed by fate.

The return of Naomi Yoshimura threw him right in the action with his former tag partner Yuki Ueno. The ring rust and Ueno’s progression during Yoshimura’s absence was his downfall today. Ueno pinned him with the Best Moonsault Ever while at the same time MAO wiped out HARASHIMA with a Quebrada out of the ring. Ueno welcomed Yoshimura back after a half year absence. He said they’ll have fun wrestling each other again. Yoshimura promised to work hard so he can reach the position Ueno is in. He also wants to help DISASTER BOX any way he can, like by winning the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

A sprint between Yukio Sakaguchi and Yusuke Okada guaranteed a quick finish and Sakaguchi got it by knocking Okada out in five minutes. Okada climbing the turnbuckles left him vulnerable for the God’s Right Knee. More big kicks and knee strikes found their mark and the match had to be stopped after Okada was felled with a Right High Kick. Backstage Okada swore revenge and wants Sakaguchi to know that this isn’t over! Sakaguchi welcomes the threat. He crush Okada as many times as he wants until he is satisfied.

DAMNATION did get a win in non-tournament action, beating the other members of Eruption along with Yuki Iino. The teamwork of Kazusada Higuchi & Saki Akai on Tetsuya Endo set Iino up for the Haka Elbow. But Mad Paulie ruined those plans and with Soma Takao’s help got rid of Eruption. Iino was placed on the canvas with the Back Flip allowing Endo to pin him with the Shooting Star Press.

An empty arena gave the wrestlers in Match #2 an idea. They agreed to have a Reverse Battle Royal match where throwing the opponents over the top rope and INTO the ring was the goal. The wrestlers were warned by the Korakuen Hall staff to stay away from the orange seat sections of the venue so those areas were also disqualification zones. Wrestlers fought on the bleachers, Kazuki Hirata danced, Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya built a castle of chairs, Akito stopped himself from throwing people into the orange seats because the staff would get mad with him. Takagi brought out the Dramatic Dream bike but Hirata stole it and crashed into the chairs. Takagi attempted the Old School rope walk across the barrier but Toru Owashi knocked him into the orange chairs. The staff got so angry at Takagi he took himself out of the match. Danshoku Dieno used a Power Bomb to lift Keigo Nakamura up to Super Sasadango Machine on the ring apron. Sasadango then Suplexed Nakamura over the ropes and into the ring to win the match.

After the match Sasadango complained about himself and Dieno not being booked for “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” yet. They want a match against NOAH wrestlers and Sasadango doesn’t care who it is as long as it shows the different ideologies between DDT and NOAH. Dieno copped on and tried to stop Sasadango, realizing who he was going to challenge. Sasadango went ahead and said he wants Takashi Sugiura! Sasadango and an unwilling Dieno are going to fight Sugiura-gun! Sasadango tried to convince Dieno it’s a good idea because the match might get them on the cover of Shukan Puroresu.

In the opening match between the rookies, Hideki Okatani defeated Toui Kojima. The less experience Kojima hit a Full Nelson Buster but missed a Diving Body Press. He defended himself from the Northern Lights Suplex the first time but Okatani wore him down until he got to hit the move for the win.

The King Of DDT 2021 begins on 16th June. The 16 entries are Akito, Jun Akiyama, Yuki Ueno, Tetsuya Endo, Makoto Oishi, Shunma Katsumata, Chris Brookes, Yukio Sakaguchi, Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao, Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, Kazusada Higuchi, Yuji Hino, MAO and Naomi Yoshimura.

Daisuke Sasaki, Tetsuya Endo & Soma Takao Vs Chris Brookes, Shunma Katsumata & MAO has been added to “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021”.

New additions to the “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” Battle Royal include Makoto Oishi, Saki Akai, Antonio Honda, Yusuke Okada, Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata, Yuya Koroku, Yuji Hino, Shu Sakurai and Yuna Manase. The NOAH entries will be announced at a later date.

The Spring Tag Tournament went completely out the window after the 1st Round matches. Shunma Katsumata & MAO beating Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Naya isn’t anything out of the ordinary. But Katsumata & MAO then interfered in the second match, helping Super Sasadango Machine & Tetsuhiro Kuroda beat Atsushi Onita & Yumehito Imanari in something of an upset. Onita complained to Takagi afterwards, pointing out that if he doesn’t at least reach the final then half of the fans won’t come back to see the next Bakuha Koshien show. The fans agreed and applauded when Takagi announced the final was now an 8-Man Tag Match with their teams joining forces against the two winning teams.

The “God Caught In Barbed Wire” Masayoshi Takeuchi provided the special weapons in the current blast matches. He was motivated by two things: the special occasion that is Golden Week and also his rocky relationship with Onita over the years. Takeuchi gave Kuroda a barbed wire baseball bat set on fire to win their first match. His other creation in the final was a brush-like current blast bat with 5 inch nails sticking out of it. Takagi also brought in the Dramatic Dream bike and crashed into a bat swing from MAO to set off a big explosion. Onita intercepted the blast bat with nails from Sasadango and hit him with it for another big explosion. That was enough to get Onita’s team the win.

Compared to everything else on the show, Chris Brookes Vs Shota sounds like it was out of place because they had a regular wrestling match. Shota had Brookes scouted and found ways to avoid the Praying Mantis Bomb. Brookes himself had some counters to throw back at his opponent and it worked out of him in the end. After a long back and forth, Brookes got the better of Shota and won with a Cradle.

Yuna Manase used her charm to confuse Mecha Pandita. The robot couldn’t understand what to do when she did some sexy poses in the ring. Manase’s actual attacks hurt her more than Pandita though because she was just hitting a 7,000 pound piece of metal. A breakthrough came when Pandita hit its head off Manase’s chest and suffered great damage from it. With its weakness discovered, Pandita was hit with the Boinmaker and then finished off with the Oppai Ye.

Takeuchi built many of the weapons FMW used in their famous death matches. Kuroda invited him to the show and also made a request for him to build a very special weapon to use in the tournament.

Yuki Arai held a public training session with Miyu Yamashita and Miu Watanabe in the Ochanomizu Dojo. She practiced the Kakato Otoshi axe kick with the intention of making that her signature move. She also did rope work and Shoulder Tackle drills. She doesn’t get to train in Tokyo often because she does most of her idol duties in Nagoya. She is also upset that her debut match will not have a live audience but she is grateful it is still able to go ahead.

Fresh back from his American expedition, Konosuke Takeshita has regained the confidence he lost over the last year. But first he has the Ultimate Tag League and the DDT Vs NOAH tag match at “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2021” to focus on. Whenever Takeshita returns to AEW his goal is to appear on “DYNAMITE” and face the likes of Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho.

Smile Pissari recorded their first title defence one week after becoming the new KO-D Tag Team Champions. The match also served as a preview for Jun Akiyama Vs HARASHIMA coming this June. A title change nearly happened when Akiyama gave Yuji Okabayashi the Exploder Suplex. Makoto Oishi went in for the kill by using the Fujiyama Knee Lock but that was broken up by HARASHIMA using the Somato on him. HARASHIMA used the same move on Akiyama while Okabayashi dropped Oishi with a Power Bomb. The finish then came when Okabayashi pinned Oishi with the Golem Splash. After the match Okabayashi told HARASHIMA it is an honour to team with him. He also said HARASHIMA looks good holding a tag team championship but he looks best with a singles title! HARASHIMA thanked the fans for travelling to the show during bad weather in the area.

It’s been around a year and a half since DDT was last in Niigata. For Super Sasadango Machine it felt like five. That doesn’t mean he missed the place. No, he’s grown tired of his hometown and is sick of pretending the local food is delicious. So Sasadango is joining DAMNATION with Daisuke Sasaki’s permission! He gets to wrestle five times a month and get paid 200,000 yen for it. What a deal! The move turned the 6-Man Tag match into a 4 Vs 2 Handicap. Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda were in trouble until Honda called in Toui Kojima for help. Kojima arrived carrying a bag of food from a nearby Italian restaurant and Honda convinced Sasadango to try it. Sasadango took off his mask, ate the food and his eyes went wide open. It’s the most delicious meal he’s ever eaten! Sasadango immediately quit DAMNATION and rejoined the other team to fight for Niigata. Unfortunately, Sasaki countered the Vertical Drop Lehmann Shock into the Cross Facelock and Sasadango tapped out.

Tetsuya Endo said his win over Yusuke Okada was too easy. He doesn’t care what Okada wants to do in DDT, he will never surpass him! Okada himself seems to agree today’s result was a major setback for him. Whatever positive evaluation he got from his match with Yuki Ueno last month must have got him carried away. He scored himself -100 for his performance.

Today is Gorgeous Matsuno’s 60th birthday! DDT had a big match put together for him but Kazuki Hirata ruined it by getting himself disqualified 16 seconds in. Hisaya Imabayashi called them all idiots. Why did Hirata attack MAO with a chair when he normally never does that? Why did Yukinori Matsui call for the DQ when he could at least pretend he didn’t see it? Why did they start fighting before Matsuno’s friends and Sanshiro Takagi could get into the ring for the bouquet presentation? He ordered the match to restart so Matsuno could be treated like the star like he’s supposed to be. Matsuno did his entrance again and received the bouquet from his friends and Takagi in the ring. Once the commemorative photo was taken, the rematch began. Hirata attacked MAO with the chair again and this time Matsui ignored it. Matsuno got to be the hero by stopping Hirata’s chair attack. Danshoku Dieno got rid of Shunma Katsumata with the Danshoku Driver and Matsuno got to do the Gorgeous Superstar Elbow onto MAO. He set MAO up for the Nembutsu Power Bomb but MAO countered it into a Jackknife Pin to steal the win. Imabayashi complained at The 37KAMIINA for ruining Matsuno’s birthday but Matsuno suddenly cut him off. Matsuno explained that pro wrestling is a serious game. He fought seriously today and he lost. This is reality that will motivate him to do better tomorrow. Matsuno thanked the fans for coming to see his match and told them his next goal is to wrestle at 70 years old. He then sang everyone a song and everyone celebrated with him.

Keigo Nakamura was rendered unconscious after his match with Eruption. Now that Maki Itoh has achieved her dream of going to AEW she thinks it is time for her to give back to everyone who made her who she is today. There is no bigger gift for her to give than to win the Princess Of Princess Title and bring Tokyo Joshi Pro all the way over to a sold out Tokyo Dome! The difference in popularity between her and Rika Tatsumi hasn’t gone unnoticed by the champion. She admits Itoh has become a major player while she is still on the indies level. But what’s strong is strong no matter what level you are at. Tatsumi crawled her way up to become the Princess Champion and she isn’t giving it away on her second defence.

Sakisama continues to act like The Bakuretsu Sisters are below her despite them being the current Princess Tag Team Champions. She thinks they shouldn’t be walking around with the belts because NEO Biishiki-gun won the Max Heart Tournament and that determines who is the strongest team in TJPW. Mei Saint-Michel is looking forward to decorating her room with the pink title belts. The Sisters said they are taking a piece from all of their previous title match opponents to stay as champions no matter what. They’ve also taken Sakisama’s “Korakuen Pork” insults and turned it into actual “Champion Pork” to sell inside Korakuen Hall during the show.

There is a lot of talk between Yuki Kamifuku and Nao Kakuta over the differences between standing out and being normal. Kamifuku wants to stand out as the International Princess Champion so she can draw in people who aren’t wrestling fans to TJPW. Kakuta believes the value of the IP Title changes depending on the person who claims it. It is valuable because of what Kamifuku has done as champion so far but Kakuta thinks she can become a wonderful champion too with how she is now.

Unfortunately Yamagata has no memory of who HARUKAZE is and doesn’t want to wrestle her. Yuna Manase is the person who put this card together and she appealed to Yamagata to do the match. That caused Yamagata to then challenge Manase to a match on the show instead! After an argument between the three parties it was decided that Yamagata will wrestle twice on the show. Once against HARUKAZE and once against Manase.

Manase was able to make the Asuka, Hagane Shinno & Shinichiro Tominaga match against Gake no Fuchi Joshi for the GWC 6-Man Tag Team Titles.

Every week on Monday and Thursday mornings in Japan “THAT’S J-PW” will host an exclusive TJPW match filmed without an audience and a Q&A session, all presented in English. Chris Brookes & Baliyan Akki will provide commentary and the episodes will last around 15 minutes each. Tetsuya Koda explained the name has a double meaning. The J in “THAT’S J-PW” stands for both Japan and Joshi.

Even her challenge to Yuki Kamifuku for the International Princess Title was considered plain or even a bit boring according to the champion. Kakuta thinks it is fine to be normal. She can be called the Normal Of Normal Princess as far as she is concerned. Her other nickname is “Rat Chaser” (she used to have a catgirl gimmick) and she found her rat in the form of Kamifuku. All she has to do now is catch her! Kakuta also said that she has no senpai or kohai figures in TJPW because she came from somewhere else so she feels comfortable enough to stretch out and use her own fighting styles that she likes.
