BASARA “BASARA 272 ~TAKAGARI 27~”, 02/03/2025
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center
??? Fans – Unannounced

1. KUBITO & Yasu Urano defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Ayumu Honda when KUBITO submitted Hiroshi with an Ankle Hold (11:48).
2. Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii defeated Isami Kodaka & Takato Nakano when Shimomura pinned Nakano with the Swanton Bomb (10:26).
3. Kuishinbo Kamen defeated Daichi Kazato with the Be Back Hold (10:52).
4. Ryuichi Sekine, Takumi Tsukamoto & FUMA defeated SAGAT, Lil’ Kraken & Akira Jo when FUMA pinned Kraken with the Heavy Metal Anthem (16:22).
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu defeated Masato Kamino (c) with the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock (20:32).
*Masato Kamino fails in V2. Ryota Nakatsu becomes the 23rd Union MAX Champion!

When Ryota Nakatsu challenged Masato Kamino to a Union MAX Title match it was because he accused Kamino for lacking humility as a champion. He cared more about his muscles than he did for the belt. Perhaps he learned his lesson today because Nakatsu defeated him and became the new champion! The difference maker came when Nakatsu countered Kamino’s Lariat with a Jumping Armbar and turned it into what he calls the Super Figure 4 Arm Lock. Nakatsu reminded Kamino that he didn’t show enough love for the title or BASARA. However he was able to make it this far from his love of muscles alone so he can keep going that direction as long as he shows a little gratitude to the company every now and then. Kamino understood and shook Nakatsu’s hand. He also bowed to everyone before leaving ringside. Nakatsu then thanked Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura for being in his corner to represent Harimao today.

Ryuichi Sekine & FUMA were challenged by Daiki Shimomura & Keisuke Ishii for the Iron Fist Tag Team Titles. What links those two together is they are both from Saitama. Ishii wants a shot because he has never held that championship before. FUMA told Ishii he needs more justification than that to ask for a title match. However FUMA has never beaten Ishii before so he accepted the challenge.

The referee got annoyed at Daichi Kazato and Kuishinbo Kamen for joking around instead of having a wrestling match. Kazato’s response to that was “What’s a match?” He later missed a Firebird Splash and Kamen lightly pushed him over into the Be Back Hold for the pinfall victory.

The opening match was changed when Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi pulled out at the last minute due to love sickness. Judo Master replaced him and convinced Ayumu Honda to wrestle in a judo uniform like he does. But Yasu Urano hates having to fight people who wear those uniforms and unmasked Master, forcing him to flee. Somehow Hiroshi returned from his sickness and rejoined the match in Master’s place. His performance was still rusty and he ended up attacking Honda by accident, causing Honda to leave ringside in anger. Hiroshi then called for help and Master returned but looking slightly different this time. However he took too long to get to the ring. By the time he climbed in, Hiroshi gave up to KUBITO’s Ankle Lock.

A ten bell salute was given at the start of the show for the recent passing of Osamu Nishimura.

It looks like Takeshi Masada and Antonio Honda are taking sides already too.

Before KANON can get his hands on Daisuke Sasaki, first he will have to get past MJ Paul.

70’s Team: Ken Ohka, Shuichiro Katsumura, Takuya Wada, Choun-Shiryu, Yasu Urano & Tsuyoshi Okada

For the second year in a row Ganbare☆Pro held a one day tournament pitting three teams of different generations against each other. There was the 1970’s team, the 1980’s team and due to a shortage of members an alliance combining the Heisei era along with wrestlers born in the 1960’s. But just like last year it was the 1980’s team that ended up winning it. Yumehito Imanari told everyone afterward that his generation listened to TRF and he wants to tell AKIRA & Ricky Fuji in particular just how great the band is. The Heisei wrestlers weren’t in a dancing mood thought and promised to get revenge if a third tournament ever takes place.

The 1970’s team lost their chance of winning the tournament thanks to Shota Kawakami. The rookie took a major beating from Shuichiro Katsumura in their match that made its way outside the ring. When Katsumura was done and started walking back to the ring, Kawakami suddenly grabbed him and held him back as much as he could. He succeeded in stopping Katsumura from entering the ring in time, ending the match in a double countout.

Yuya Susumu from FREEDOMS was at the show and approached Munetatsu Nakamura after hearing that Nakamura wanted to fight him in a match. Susumu told him they can have the match at FREEDOM’s next Korakuen Hall show on 19th March and he will also put the King Of FREEDOM World Jr. Heavyweight Title on the line! He bragged that he can beat Nakamura within five minutes under normal circumstances. Nakamura responded that he will beat Susumu at Korakuen and take the belt from him. He then refused Susumu’s offer of a handshake.

At the start of the show Mizuki Watase announced he will return from his torn ACL injury on the 11th April Korakuen show! He only suffered his injury this past December and even his doctors are amazed by how fast his recovery is.

??? Fans – Unannounced

1. Mat Wrestling Falls Count Anywhere Tag Match: Ken Ohka & Shuichiro Katsumura defeated Yumehito Imanari & Shota Kawakami when Ohka pinned Kawakami with the Flame Spear (14:27).

The match was slightly changed because Keisuke Ishii fell sick and couldn’t appear. Ken Ohka who was meant to be the special referee instead took Ishii’s place in the Falls Count Anywhere Match. Shota Kawakami ended up taking signature moves from everybody including the Ganbare☆Pro wrestlers who were not part of the match.

GANBARE☆PRO “JUSTICE LEAGUE 2025”, 16/03/2025
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) Vs Fuminori Abe

There was also a press conference where Yumehito Imanari and Michiyoshi Mishima announced who the No. 1 Contender for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title will be. Imanari revealed he nominated Fuminori Abe to get the shot on 16th March. One of Imanari’s goals as champion is to fight the wrestlers he lost to on his journey to winning the SOG Title. He remembers facing Abe for the ZERO1 World Junior Heavyweight Title & ZERO1 International Junior Heavyweight Title back in 2021 and losing to him. It was a very important match for him because the original plan was for Abe to face Shinjiro Otani in the main event of a Korakuen Hall show but Otani got injured and Imanari was chosen to be his replacement. He never forgotten what Abe told him that day and he will always be a fan of him. So now he gets to make a wish come true by putting together this rematch. Abe said at the time of the match he felt great pity towards Imanari for the position he was suddenly put in but as the match went on, Abe experienced emotions he had never felt before. After he won he felt a sense of pride for giving Imanari the opportunity. He would have liked to do the rematch in Korakuen but after giving the idea some thought, he instead asked for it to take place at Takashimadaira Kumin Center because it is a truly independent venue. He also made sure to keep 11th April free in his schedule because he is confident he will win the championship and have his first defence at GanPro’s Korakuen Hall show that day.

GANBARE☆PRO “MAD MAX 2025 ~ GANBARE☆PRO WRESTLING 12TH ANNIVERSARY BOX OFFICE”, 11/04/2025
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Ken Ohka Vs X
2. Special 6-Woman Tag Match: Moeka Haruhi, YuuRI & Ami Manase Vs Yuna Manase, Hazuki & Koguma
3. Special Tag Team Match: Shuichiro Katsumura & Keisuke Ishii Vs Yuji Nagata & Tatsuhito Takaiwa

A few matches for the 11th April Korakuen show were also announced at the event. Shuichiro Katsumura revealed he will be teaming with Ishii on the show to take on New Japan legends Yuji Nagata and Tatsuhito Takaiwa! Ishii sent in a message explaining that GanPro wanted him to team with Nagata on the show but he thought it would be better for them to be on opposing teams. The story of the match in Ishii’s mind will be him getting to beat the people he looked up to as a boy. Katsumura said he also has an attachment to those two wrestlers. In 2006 he lost to Yuji’s brother Katsuhiko Nagata at the end of year K-1 “DYNAMITE!!” show and remembers Yuji saluting the fans in the ring after the fight. So he would love it if Yuji brought Katsuhiko along to be at ringside for the show. Katsumura also joked about being a New Japan kid teaming with Ishii who is an All Japan kid.

A 6-Woman Tag Match was also announced pitting Ganbare☆Joshi against a special trio of wrestlers reuniting together. Yuna Manase is bringing in Hazuki & Koguma from Stardom to team with her! The three of them are all from the same fifth generation of Stardom wrestlers but their careers split off in different directions. Manase was able to re-establish contact with them at an Ice Ribbon show last year and hatched a plan for her to team up with FWC for the first time ever. She also had reasons for choosing the wrestlers on the GanJo team. YuuRI is around the same age as Hazuki & Koguma so Manase wants to see them face off. Moeka Haruhi recently celebrated her 20th Anniversary and Manase wanted to be her opponent for the Anniversary match. Last but not least, Ami Manase is still Yuna’s younger sister and only just recently started training for wrestling again after being away for over a year.

Ohka claims that GanPro’s zodiac cycle has come full circle because he was born in the Year Of The Snake and GanPro’s first Korakuen show since going independent is also happening during the Year Of The Snake. He feels like this is fake and predicts he is going to be involved in a big singles match on the show. Something that will be on par with his match against Jushin Liger from Union Pro in 2009.

Uta Takami is probably going to have a much nicer experience being in the ring with Miu Watanabe this time around. They won’t be fighting each other and they’ll have Raku & Pom Harajuku as their opponents so the potential beating will be more emotional than physical.

GanPro are doing their yearly generation battle between three eras of pro wrestling. This time a fourth era is coming in because the Heisei team has formed an alliance with wrestlers from the 1960s! AKIRA & Ricky Fuji are here making up the numbers for the youngsters. They also enlisted Toru Sugiura to pack an added punch for the main event.

The team challenge will give out 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. Whichever team has the most points by the end of the show wins.

A press conference was held by DDT today to promote the D GENERATIONS CUP final. It was there when Takeshi Masada and Yuya Koroku were told that the final is going to main event Korakuen Hall! The surprise completely threw Masada off guard because up until now he had everything calculated and going to plan. The final being moved to the main event wasn’t part of those calculations. He tried to play it cool and still thinks he will win and move on to challenge Chris Brookes for the KO-D Openweight Title. Koroku does not care who the KO-D Champion will be if he wins the final and gets the title shot instead.

Super Sasadango Machine takes Iino’s place in the Pheromones reunion match. That means the 3 Way Match he was originally booked for is now just Kazuki Hirata against Antonio Honda.

Daisy Monkey are going to explode! One of the other mainstay tag teams in Tokyo Joshi Pro have an important match going on too. Suzume and Arisu Endo will be facing each other for the International Princess Title!

A match two and a half years in the making will finally happen. Willow Nightingale was supposed to face Miu Watanabe one on one back at “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22” but travel issues cancelled her tour. While she eventually did get to wrestle in Japan with TJPW, the singles match with Watanabe never happened. It’s been a long wait but it’s finally going to take place next month!

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase (c) defeated Yuna Manase & YuuRI when Watase pinned Manase with the Elbow Butt (22:09).
*V1 for Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase.

Today was the day for Ganbare☆Joshi to show their spirit and take over main event. The division’s top two names Yuna Manase & YuuRI fought Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase with the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles on the line. Manase & YuuRI tried fighting fire with fire against the champions in order to show just how determined they were to win. Sadly the admirable performance ended in defeat. Irie took care of YuuRI with a Lariat and Watase used his signature moves on Manase. She kept kicking out of the pins so Watase pulled off his elbow pad and hit an exposed Elbow Butt to finally get the three count.

Watase praised Nippon Ganbare☆Rengo after the match for being so strong. He thought he would never lose to a team of women who can only try hard but this match convinced him it could happen after all. He encouraged GanJo to train more so they can have a rematch. Manase revealed she recently spoke to Shinjiro Otani and he gave her advice on how to win the match. He told her to keep going until she wins. She thanked Irie for fighting her & YuuRI today so he could get to understand their feelings. YuuRI said one day a GanJo wrestler will win a GanPro championship.

Over the last month Munetatsu Nakamura has been losing matches to Gaia Hox & Jun Masaoka across the wrestling scene. The pair known as F-SWAG have beaten Nakamura on both GanPro and FREEDOMS shows leading Nakamura to make a rash decision today. He was meant to wrestle Keisuke Ishii on a singles match but when he found out F-SWAG was in the area today he convinced Ishii to team with him for a tag match against them instead. F-SWAG won the match and have now beaten Nakamura for the third time in a row. The rookie still wants to keep fighting them no matter what company it will take place in. Masaoka doesn’t deny that Nakamura loves wrestling and GanPro but he explained that the rookie hasn’t changed much in their matches together. Ishii though? Masaoka enjoyed wrestling him and would be happy to have a singles match against him anytime. Hox also called out Shota Kawakami to stand with Nakamura if this rivalry against F-SWAG is going to continue.

Oishi’s Last Day Gets Busier, To-y Finally Gets His Title Shot, Aoki Faces The Undisputed Ace Once More

Shinjuku FACE

1. Yukio Naya Vs Yuki Ishida
2. Jun Akiyama, Soma Takao & Kazuma Sumi Vs Toru Owashi, Masahiro Takanashi & Ilusion
3. Tetsuya Endo & Yuki Iino Vs Keigo Nakamura & To-y
4. Special Tag Match: Shinya Aoki & Yuya Koroku Vs HARASHIMA & Yuki Ueno
5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul (c) Vs Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada
6. Special Tag Match: Makoto Oishi & Kaisei Takechi Vs Akito & Kazuki Hirata
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles – Makoto Oishi’s Last DDT Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata (c) Vs Makoto Oishi & Danshoku Dieno

A press conference was held today for ShunMao and the challengers to sign the KO-D Tag Team Titles match contract. Danshoku Dieno appeared alone and called Makoto Oishi to find out where he is. Oishi said he overslept and he was already in a taxi on the way over to the building. After a 10 minute wait Oishi still had not appeared so the contract signing went ahead without him. Dieno apologized dogeza style and convinced ShunMao to let him sign the contract without the need for Oishi’s signature. Shunma Katsumata called it a sign of Oishi being careless and MAO said when the match happens he will deliver the final blow to Oishi. When it was time for the group photo, Oishi finally arrived and entered the room intending to ambush the champions. But MAO noticed him coming and kicked him in the groin. Oishi admitted he was going to attack MAO to give his team the advantage but he really did oversleep and arrived to the conference late. He explained he went to be late last night, woke up this morning to do his laundry, went back to bed until almost noon. Oishi apologised by doing a full vertical headstand that he calls the ultimate dogeza. He then talked about the title match but mistakingly said it was happened on 3rd November, not 3rd October. MAO scolded him for getting the date wrong and called it was a disgrace.

Oishi’s last day in DDT has gotten even busier. He helped train Kaisei Takechi for his wrestling matches and Takechi wants to show his appreciation for it by teaming with him before he goes. Oishi already has a KO-D Tag Titles match lined up but ShunMao gave their blessing for him to do the Takechi match too. It sounds like the Takechi match will happen before the title match on the day.

DDT “GOD BLESS DDT 2024 TOUR IN FUKUOKA”, 13/10/2024
Acros Fukuoka

1. O-40 Title – 3 Way Match: Azul Dragon (c) Vs Toru Owashi Vs Danshoku Dieno
2. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Kota Umeda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga
3. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Iino (c) Vs To-y

After a whole bunch of failed cash in attempts, To-y lost his chance at fighting Yuki Iino for the DDT Universal Title when the Right To Challenge Shield was taken away from him. However To-y didn’t let that stop him from still trying to get Iino’s attention. No matter how many times Iino took him down with the Spear, To-y refused to give up. Iino now sees how much heart To-y is showing him so he agreed to finally give him his title shot.

I found out where Azul Dragon defended the O-40 Title. He held an event back in June called Karaokekan Pro Wrestling and retained the title in a 3 Way Match with a bunch of silly rules attached to it.

GANBARE☆PRO “HANARE BANARE NI 2024”, 14/10/2024
Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Shota Kawakami Vs Yuki Kanzaki
2. Shuichiro Katsumura, Choun-Shiryu & Takuya Wada Vs Masamune, Yumehito Imanari & Tyson Maeguchi
3. Ken Ohka Vs Daisuke®️
4. Keisuke Ishii Vs Munetatsu Nakamura
5. Moeka Haruhi & HARUKAZE Vs Makoto & SAKI
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase (c) Vs Yuna Manase & YuuRI

The three singles matches on the show are put together to see if the new wrestlers can show what the future of Ganbare☆Pro will be like. It’s a big spot for the likes of Munetatsu Nakamura, Daisuke®️, Shota Kawakami and maybe even Yuki Kanzaki. But if Keisuke Ishii and Ken Ohka win their matches in dominant ways that too could show GanPro’s future is not going to change much.

DDT “GOD BLESS DDT 2024”, 20/10/2024
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Akito (c) Vs Danshoku Dieno
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Shinya Aoki (c) Vs HARASHIMA

In the past there have been three singles matches Shinya Aoki and HARASHIMA had against each other. Aoki has a 2-1 record against HARASHIMA but still considers his opponent to be the undisputed ace of DDT. He is looking forward to finding out if he can make it three wins out of four or if HARASHIMA will even the score and win the KO-D Openweight Title in the process.

The new DDT Extreme Champion wasted no time in choosing his first challenger. Akito has always admired Dieno for being a symbol of DDT’s creativity. Even when Akito feuded with Pheromones he hated seeing Dieno play in a supporting role rather than the group leader. Akito played a part in taking away Pheromones from Dieno so he wants to flip roles and give Dieno a chance to take his beloved Extreme Title away from him.

Kota Ibushi will be on the show.

2. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Kota Umeda & Tomomitsu Matsunaga
3. DDT Universal Title: Yuki Iino (c) Vs X

The next DDT Universal Title defence after this weekend will happen on 13th October. Will Yuki Iino still be the champion or is Yukio Naya taking his spot?

The show will feature a rare Kota Umeda sighting! Just as rare is the O-40 Title being defended. Azul Dragon won the belt back in April and has defended it just once since then. I’ll have to go look where that defence happened because it wasn’t in DDT.

Shinya Aoki will be on the show.

DDT “YUKI ISHIDA TRIUMPH! GOD BLESS DDT 2024 TOUR IN KUMAMOTO”, 14/10/2024

2. The 37KAMIINA Vs BURNING!: Yuki Ueno & MAO Vs Tetsuya Endo & Yuya Koroku
3. Special Single Match: Yuki Iino Vs Kazuki Hirata

Whether he’s champion or not, Iino will have to deal with Kazuki Hirata in Kumamoto. If Hirata still has the Right To Challenge Shield by then he could use it for a title shot. However he seems to despise being in possession of the Shield and has not shown interest in using it for a title shot of any kind.

Tokyo Takashimadaira Kumin Center

1. Moeka Haruhi & HARUKAZE Vs Makoto & SAKI
2. Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles: Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase (c) Vs Yuna Manase & YuuRI

The lack of movement up the card for Ganbare☆Joshi has gotten to Yuna Manase so it’s time for a change. She wants GanJo matches to move up to the main event of Ganbare☆Pro events! She and YuuRI got themselves a big opportunity to do that by challenging Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase For the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles.

GANBARE☆PRO “HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER 2024”, 03/11/2024

1. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) Vs Hartley Jackson

Yumehito Imanari blew his chance of facing Keisuke Ishii for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title and ended up causing Ishii to defend the title against an even bigger challenger! Hartley Jackson is ready to remind everyone in GanPro that he is Ichiban by becoming a two-time champion.

6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) defeated Hong Kong International Police Man with the Momoiro Kick (15:59).
*V2 for Keisuke Ishii.

Today was a big show for Ganbare☆Pro because it drew the largest crowd they have ever had at Takashimadaira Kumin Center! The main event was advertised as Keisuke Ishii defending the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title against Hong Kong International Police Man. However when it was time for the match to happen Police Man was nowhere to be found. Instead Choun-Shiryu walked out as his replacement! Ishii was still able to beat him using the Momoiro Kick, his name for the Kneel Kick. After the match he thanked “Police Man” because it was the first singles match they ever had together. Takuya Wada then entered the ring and challenged Ishii for the championship. It will take place on 16th August. Wada and the other wrestlers from the 1970s group then joined together in the ring to close out the show.

Ken Ohka was able to beat one of the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Champions by pinning Mizuki Watase with the Flame Spear. Shigehiro Irie taunted Ohka after the match by raising his title belt in the air. At the end of the show Ohka sent a video call to Shuji Ishikawa on his phone. Ohka asked Ishikawa if they could team up and challenge for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Titles on 16th August. Ishikawa agreed to the idea. Ohka originally wanted Isami Kodaka or Minoru Fujita to be his partner but Kodaka is unavailable and Fujita turned him down.

It was a special return to the ring for Moeka Haruhi. She has been away from wrestling for over a year in order to donate a kidney to her sister. For her comeback match Haruhi was teaming up with Yusaku Ito, a wrestler who has received a kidney transplant. She was disappointed to lose the match but thanked Shuichiro Katsumura & YuuRI for protecting GanPro during her hiatus. She also thanked everyone for supporting her during this period especially when there were times she felt at her weakest. Today is the beginning of her second chapter and it will start with her joining GanPro on a full time basis! She promised the fans they next time they see her she will win her match.

Lately Yumehito Imanari has been over in ZERO1 competing in the Fire Festival tournament. As part of their relationship with GanPro, Imanari’s final block match against Satsuki Nagao was allowed to take place on this show. Imanari was able to win, ending his tournament run with two victories out of five matches and 10 points in total. Since he is the first wrestler in his block to complete all his matches and many are currently tied on 10 points he is unlikely to advance to the final. He compared fighting Nagao to fighting against Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani.
