A peculiar challenge awaits The Bakuretsu Sisters. Their second Princess Tag Team Titles defence is against a team made up of former champions when they were under different personas. Shoko Nakajima was one of the first champions but she is Shin Ultra Shoko this month. Hyper Misao was a champion but that was when she discarded her superhero form in search for power. How will they fare as a superpowered duo?

A hot headed Maki Itoh demanded a handicap match against NEO Biishiki-gun. It was refused for being too unfair for her. She had to drag Miyu Yamashita into the scene to get it accepted as a tag match instead. Yamashita doesn’t have a good record against Sakisama so a chance to even the score is motivation for her while Itoh gets to scrap with Mei Saint-Michel.

A Sento Minzoku team has won this year’s IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT! The team of Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura will now challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles at Korakuen Hall on 20th January.

Takumi Tsukamoto chose his opponent for the main event of BASARA’s 5th Anniversary show. He narrowed it down to FUMA and Daichi Kazato because he faced against both of them in the main event tag of the very first BASARA show. In the end, Tsukamoto chose FUMA and their match will have the Union MAX Title on the line.

The Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Minoru Fujita ended in a draw when Hiroshi began to sing “Silent Night”. Fujita joined in and they left the ring together in harmony while the match was still going on. The referee called off the match because the wrestlers had no reason to fight each other.

The second IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT semi-final will be Ryuichi Sekine & Minoru Fujita Vs Ryota Nakatsu & SAGAT. After the main event, Nakatsu called it the de facto final because Sparky beat the new Union MAX Champion in Takumi Tsukamoto and a respected veteran in Yasu Urano.

The rules for the 4 Way Match were created by Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi. He was inspired by the Jusenkyo springs from Ranma 1/2 where stepping into the water will transform people into something else, like a cat for example. Sprinkling water onto them would turn them back to normal. So in this match wrestlers began acting like cats whenever they were thrown out of the ring.

In his third attempt, Takumi Tsukamoto has become the new Union MAX Champion! After the match the former champion Fuminori Abe admitted he never felt more frustrated after a loss. He was able to do so much as the MAX Champion and it today he was reminded there is somebody out there stronger than him. He remembered when he won the title from Masahiro Takanashi under unfortunate circumstances. The BASARA fans still supported him and still treated him like a deserving champion. He knows they will continue to support him so he will be 100 million times stronger when he fights Tsukamoto again in order to win the belt back! Tsukamoto said that BASARA is just about to become 5 years old. It is still an immature and developing promotion just like he is still an immature and developing human being. He burst into tears from the crowd cheering him and joked about being a crybaby. He promised to devote himself to being Takumi Tsukamoto in order to get even more stronger.

One of the IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT semi-finals is set. IRON PRIEST will take on Isami Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura for a spot in the final on 7th December. It is the rematch of last year’s final and Shimomura wants revenge!

In the week leading up to the show, FUMA announced the Iron Family was disbanding and a new unit will replace it. The new unit is called Asian Kung Fu Revolution because the roots of both yoga and heavy metal can be found in Asia. FUMA, Yusuke Kubo, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Daichi Kazato are the members of this group.

Daichi Kazato fought using the power of Best Stretchman V3 but it wasn’t enough to defeat Speed Of Sounds. After the match, Kazato announced he was retiring the Best Stretchman gimmick. He asked Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi and FUMA if they could all be in the same unit together because they have known each other going all the way back to their days in Union Pro. FUMA isn’t sure if that would be the right choice for Kazato. He wants to see what Kazato has got first before The Iron Family makes their decision.

Takumi Tsukamoto became the No. 1 Contender and will get a Union MAX Title shot on 10th November. Fuminori Abe has never beaten Tsukamoto but he is confident he will make him submit. Tsukamoto told him he has never given up anything in his life. Abe promised to take Tsukamoto’s “give up virginity” on 10th November.

The 2020 IRON FIST TAG TOURNAMENT will take place in November and December. Round 1 will take place on the 10th and 14th November. The semi finals will be on 7th December and the final will be on 22nd December. The winning team will challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST TAG Titles at a later date.

We have another contract expiration, this time it’s a DDT wrestler. Ladybeard finished up with DDT on 30th September and is now a freelancer. Ladybeard thanked the staff, wrestlers and fans for making great memories with them over the last 5 years. Ladybeard hadn’t wrestled with DDT since August 2018 anyway so this is just a formality.

There is a late change in tomorrow’s big match. Yuki Kamifuku broke the ring finger on her right hand and will not be able to wrestle for around three weeks. Under doctor’s recommendation she has pulled out of the main event. Kamifuku is aiming to return on 17th October. Mahiro Kiryu was going to remove herself from the match because of this but Kamifuku convinced her not to waste the opportunity she made for herself. Kiryu agreed and nominated Pom Harajuku to be her new tag partner. Both Daydream and The Bakuretsu Sisters gave their approval for the math to go ahead.

Marika Kobashi’s return match involves her former tag partner from the JK Strikers. However Miyu Yamashita is not on her team, instead they are against each other.

Tsukamoto has a pretty strong string of results since BASARA has been running shows again. Kamino has begun winning matches too but the opponents he has beaten so far do not give him the rub to challenge the champion straight away.

The Brahman Brothers disinfected the ring during their entrance because they are still concerned over getting infected with the Coronavirus. Brahman Kei tried to do the twin magic spot with both Brahman Shu and Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi at ringside. Fuminori Abe didn’t fall for it but was still distracted long enough for Kei to attack him from behind. Takuya Nomura helped Abe at certain moments to even out the odds. Shu then took out his secret weapon, an Ultimo Dragon mask! He wore it and tried to do Ultimo Dragon moves until Abe blocked the Asai DDT. Abe then used the Irabu Punch to stun The Brahmans into hitting each other. Shy threw powder in Abe’s face in a moment of desperation and Kei used La Magistral Cradle for a nearfall. Abe regained his senses and pinned Kei with the Onryo Clutch to defend the Union MAX Title.

After the match, Takumi Tsukamoto challenged Abe to be his next challenger. However, Masato Kamino also came out asking for a title shot because he pinned Takato Nakano today. Abe called that a weak reason and suggested a No. 1 Contender match between Tsukamoto and Kamino. He would rather choose the challenger that way than defend the title against both in a 3 Way.

Daiki Shimomura and Leo Isaka both gestured they want a rematch with each other.

Daichi Kazato wants to bring the IRON FIST TAG Titles back to BASARA. He and Hiroshi challenged Speed Of Sounds to a title match at the next Shin-Kiba 1st RING show.

Further PCR tests for the Tokyo Joshi Pro roster and staff have come back negative and the supervised safety period of those people have ended. That means they are going back to holding shows. The Tokyo Princess Cup semi finals will indeed take place on the same show as the grand final. The other undercard matches will be announced on the day of the show.

BASARA “BASARA 131 ~BANQUET~”, 25/08/2020

1. Masato Kamino defeated Tetsuo Usui with a Lariat (11:35).
2. Ryota Nakatsu & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Yusuke Kubo when Nakatsu pinned Hiroshi with the V Slider (9:26). (Special Referee: Gouma Ryu)
3. Isami Kodaka defeated Leo Isaka with the Modified Samson Clutch (8:15).
4. Hardcore Tag Match: Ryuichi Sekine & Minoru Fujita defeated FUMA & SAGAT when Fujita pinned SAGAT with the Tombstone Piledriver onto a chair (11:03).
5. Takumi Tsukamoto, Takato Nakano & Yasu Urano defeated Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Daichi Kazato when Tsukamoto pinned Kazato with the Running Zudon (12:18).
6. Union MAX Title: Fuminori Abe (c) defeated Daiki Shimomura with the Manjigatame (19:10).
*V2 for Fuminori Abe.

Fuminori Abe said he will always think of Daiki Shimomura as his rival after the match. He will never lose to his rival but that is what makes him stronger. Shimomura hasn’t beaten Abe in singles matches yet but when he does he wants it to be for the Union MAX Title. After they shook hands, Nakatsu ran into the ring but tripped over himself. When he steadied himself, he told Abe he wants a MAX Title match at Korakuen Hall on 22nd September. Abe accepted and together they will show the future of BASARA in Korakuen.

Takumi Tsukamoto & Yasu Urano are forming a team to challenge Speed Of Sounds for the IRON FIST Tag Titles. Tsukamoto has a good track record teaming with Urano so it’s an opportunity he does not want to miss. They won the UWA World 6-Man Tag Team Titles last year with Takato Nakano. This direction means Nakano gets left out in the cold but Tsukamoto feels it has to happen for him and Urano to win the IRON FIST Titles. Speed Of Sounds admitted they would prefer to face Nakano rather than Urano. The title match will happen on the 8th September Shin-Kiba 1st RING show.
