1. Nobuhiro Shimatani, Daiki Shimomura & Koju Takeda defeated Katsumi Oribe, Yuto Kikuchi & Yuki Aoki when Shimatani pinned Kikuchi with a Cradle after a Sliding Elbow Smash from Shimomura (10:38).
2. Kouki Iwasaki & Tomoya Hirata defeated Baliyan Akki & Rekka when Iwasaki submitted Akki with a Triangle Choke (8:32).
3. MAO & Rising HAYATO defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Yuki Iino when MAO pinned Iino with the Cannonball 450 (12:03).
4. TORU defeated Shunma Katsumata with a Vertical Drop Brainbuster (10:59).
5. Ryota Nakatsu Vs Sammy Guevara ended in a Time Limit Draw (20:00).
6. Irie-gun Vs Naomi Kingdom!: Keisuke Okuda & Akira Jo defeated Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase by Referee Stoppage when Okuda used a Torso Sleeper Hold on Watase (12:39).
7. DNA Naniwa Summit Decisive Battle!: Naomi Yoshimura defeated Yuki Ueno with the Throwaway Power Bomb (22:36).

On the penultimate DNA show, Naomi Yoshimura gave a heartfelt speech after the main event. Being from Osaka himself, Yoshimura wanted many people to come see DNA in this area for the final time today. He and Yuki Ueno have had many matches against each other. Today he could feel Ueno’s momentum as they wrestled and normally that would be deserving of a handshake so they could reconcile their differences. Maybe this rivalry deserves a happy ending because Ueno and also Kota Umeda will soon be moving up to DDT. Yoshimura has also decided his future path. As long as Yoshimura wrestles he cannot lose! With a rebellious heart on his side Yoshimura will never lose again! Today is Yoshimura’s happy ending!

The match between Irie-gun and Naomi Kingdom turned into a ringside brawl with wrestlers getting throw into the seats on two sides of the room. Keisuke Okuda countered Mizuki Watase’s Back Drop into a Sleeper Hold. Okuda then wrapped his legs around Watase to leave him helpless until the referee called for the bell. Another brawl broke out after the match which led to Shigehiro Irie chasing Okuda & Akira Jo out of the ring.

A knee injury prevented Kota Umeda from wrestling on the show so Ryota Nakatsu from BASARA was brought in as his replacement. Nakatsu took on Sammy Guevara in a bout that was too close to call. Neither could get the win by the time the time limit expired. Nakatsu thanked Guevara for the match and promoted BASARA’s show at Osaka Okinawa Hall on 22nd July. He forgot to bring tickets so he advised everyone to go buy them at the nearest convenience store so his employers won’t get angry at him.

A missed Spear from Yuki Iino accidentally hit Konosuke Takeshita instead of MAO. From there Iino was outnumbered and taken down by a Missile Dropkick from Rising HAYATO. MAO then hit the Cannonball 450 for the win.

5. Kota Umeda “Mad Dog” 7 Match Series – 4th Match: Dick Togo defeated Kota Umeda with the Modified Cross Facelock (11:12).
6. DDT Extreme Title – Blindfolded Hidden Breasts Death Match: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Antonio Honda when he stripped off Honda’s bra (13:42).
*V3 for HARASHIMA.

Maybe it was skill or maybe it was blind luck but HARASHIMA defeated Antonio Honda in the Blindfold & Bra Match. At one point Honda rolled out of the ring and HARASHIMA tried to chase after him. Honda pulled the shirts off of Yuki Iino and Nobuhiro Shimatani when they stood too close to him. They were both wearing bras underneath even though it wasn’t mandatory for them to do so. Back in the ring Honda applied an Octopus Hold to HARASHIMA and succeeded in unhooking his bra. HARASHIMA defended himself well so Honda rolled him into a Japanese Leg Roll Clutch. That was a grave mistake because the positioning allowed HARASHIMA to unhook Honda’s bra and strip it right off him by kicking out of the hold, resulting in a victory for HARASHIMA! After the match he said he hasn’t decided on the next challenger for the DDT Extreme Title. For now his focus is on winning the KO-D Openweight Title from Shigehiro Irie on 22nd July!

Another good effort from Kota Umeda that just wasn’t enough in his latest match of the Mad Dog Trials. Dick Togo’s ring awareness allowed him to trap Umeda in the Cross Facelock several times. The one that made Umeda finally tap out was transitioned into a modified version of the move that looks similar to the Dick Killer. Togo thinks Umeda can still grow into becoming the so called “Mad Dog” that he claims to be but for now he is still in the stage where he should be establishing a style for himself. His advice to Umeda is to wrestle more and more because pro wrestling is more than a career, it’s an experience.

The Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title was up for grabs in a 10 minute long Battle Royal. The champion KUDO had Masahiro Takanashi fighting by his side against the rest of the field but the chaos was too much to handle. Nobuhiro Shimatani found his moment to strike and he pinned KUDO with a School Boy to win the title. Everyone ganged up on him until Saori Anou found her spot to win the belt with a Fisherman Suplex. KUDO had a change of heart and decided to protect Anou by fending off those who attacked her including including his friends Takanashi and Saki Akai. Anou didn’t appreciate KUDO’s aid and she kicked him out of the ring. She got into a back and forth with Akai until Akai pinned her with a Diving Cross Body. Shimatani got the title back with a Small Package with two minutes left to go. Konosuke Takeshita made his presence felt by giving Shimatani a Brainbuster onto the title belt. Takeshita got the pin and stayed as champion for the final minute of the match.

The Battle Royal was over but there were still people who wanted the Iron Man Title. Yuki Iino tried to pin Takeshita with a School Boy outside the ring but he kicked out. Danshoku Dieno then ran out and gave Takeshita the Lip Lock in the ring. He went for the pin but Sanshiro Takagi suddenly broke it up by throwing a chair at Dieno! Takagi invited this week’s special guest Akari Suda from SKE48 down to the ring so she can become the champion! Yukinori Matsui was against the idea but immediately changed his mind when Suda shook his hand. Takagi gave Takeshita a Stunner then Suda locked him into the Ocotpus Hold, the dreaded finishing move of World Idol Pro Wrestling star Octopus Suda! Takeshita clearly did not give up but Matsui ruled he was knocked out and rewarded the Iron Man Title to Suda! Takagi warned Suda that she may be attacked by people who want the championship at any time. Suda asked Takagi if he can protect her if that is the case.

The 3 Way Trios match wasn’t held under Hardcore rules but MAO still used a plastic toy hammer on some of his opponents during the match. Sammy Guevara and Facade ran circles around the rest of the participants and floored them all with dives out of the ring. Guevara then finished off Daiki Shimomura with the 630 Splash to give Irie-gun the victory. Tetsuya Endo wants MAO to know that their KO-D Tag Team Titles match on 22nd July won’t be a Hardcore match so he better leave the weapons at home. Mad Paulie stole some pictures of Facade from the merch stand. Endo scolded Paulie until he found a picture of Saori Anou among them.

The BIG LOVE between Daisuke Sasaki and Asuka is strong for the most part. Well there was that moment when Sasaki accidentally hit Asuka with a Clothesline but that honestly was an accident. Asuka recovered and countered Makoto Oishi’s Miracle Ecstasy into a Choke Slam of her own. She then pinned Oishi with the Moonsault. Sasaki begged Asuka to forgive him after the match. What he did was the biggest tragedy of this century and he promised to never do it again. Asuka said “BIG LOVE!” to Sasaki and they hugged. When asked about their upcoming singles match against each other at Korakuen Hall, Sasaki told everyone to look forward to it because they will show love to each other in the ring.

With the future of DNA up in the air, the Naomi Kingdom are looking to the future and it involves finishing off their rivals on the final show. Keisuke Okuda doesn’t care where they end up because he isn’t afraid of anything. If all of the juniors below him have fear then they should stop wrestling. Naomi Yoshimura wants to take down Yuki Ueno once and for all before DNA is done. After that he will be free to do what he wants whether it is in DDT, DNA or anywhere else in the company.

Akito’s submission skills got him out of a jam. He reversed a Figure 4 Leg Lock from Yuki Ueno to grab the victory.

Danshoku Dieno didn’t let his one show suspension from the main Maji Manji card let him down. He came out for his dark match with cans of beer ready to get the crowd fired up! He was also drinking to promote the Beer Garden shows taking place in August. He invited Rekka to join in the fun and they both wrestled while drinking. It got a bit out of control when they spat beer with each other and used the beer cans as weapons.

*KUDO becomes the 1,321st champion.
4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Konosuke Takeshita, Akito & Shunma Katsumata defeated Kota Umeda, Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda (c) when Katsumata pinned Ueno with the ¡Hasta La Vista! (11:16).
*Umeda-gumi fails in V2. ALL OUT becomes the 34th KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions!
5. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Way Match: HARASHIMA (c) defeated Soma Takao and Daisuke Sasaki when HARASHIMA pinned Takao with the Somato (15:58).
*V2 for HARASHIMA.
6. KO-D Openweight Title: Shigehiro Irie (c) defeated Kazusada Higuchi with the Beast Bomber (20:58).
*V2 for Shigehiro Irie.

Two heavyweights smashed each other to bits in the main event and when the dust was settled, Shigehiro Irie stood over Kazusada Higuchi, still the KO-D Openweight Champion. Higuchi brought his table smashing antics over from “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” by Power Slamming Irie onto one from the ring apron. Irie got violent too by doing a Slingshot Senton Bomb to Higuchi underneath a pile of chairs outside the ring. Most of Higuchi’s big moves like the Doctor Bomb and Leg Roll Clutch were kicked out of. Irie bounced back from Higuchi’s Lariats with his Cannonball attacks then when Higuchi was weakened enough, the Beast Bomber put him down for the count.

Irie gave Higuchi a brief thank you after the match and it didn’t take long for his next title defence to be put together. Hisaya Imabayashi announced Irie will defend the title in Korakuen Hall on 22d July. He then asked if any of the Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders would like to use their title shot on that date. HARASHIMA entered the ring and said he will do it! He would have liked to do it right now but he wants to fight Irie when he is in his perfect state. Imabayashi asked HARASHIMA if he also wants to put his DDT Extreme Title on the line. HARASHIMA declined because he wants to defend it against Antonio Honda next, maybe in a Blindfold & Bra Death Match like they did back in 2013. HARASHIMA told Irie he’s become a strong champion but he does not like what he is doing to DDT. HARASHIMA doesn’t want people with an attitude like Irie’s to be champion because it can be damaging to DDT. Irie said he is glad that HARASHIMA is his next challenger. He’s been waiting for this match most of all out of the Gauntlet holders. He dismissed HARASHIMA’a claim that his title reign and attitude is making DDT rotten.

Imabayashi reminded HARASHIMA that should he lose his Gauntlet before 22nd July, his spot in the title match will become vacant. He must have his Gauntlet on the day to guarantee his position. Irie yelled at Imabayashi for interrupting him and said he doesn’t care if HARASHIMA has a Gauntlet or not. He wants the match to happen regardless. Imabayashi called over to Producer Danshoku Dieno and they asked if Irie understands the rules of the Gauntlets. Irie blasted insults at Dieno for his role as DDT’s Producer. Dieno tried to calm him down but Irie continued to yell at him until Irie had enough and left the ring.

Remember how the 3 Way Match was supposed to have no cheating and no interference for the sake of good sportsmanship? Yeah, that didn’t happen. Daisuke Sasaki and Soma Takao didn’t wait long to get help from Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie. Together DAMNATION tore apart HARASHIMA until Shuten-dōji came to rescue him. With the interference gone the match turned into 2-on-1 with Sasaki and Takao helping each other. That blew up when Sasaki was trying to put HARASHIMA in the Cross Facelock. Takao went in for a Thrust Kick but struck Sasaki by accident! HARASHIMA got rid of Sasaki with the Somato then countered Takao’s Gin And Tonic into the Yama-ori head drop. Another Somato put away Takao and meant HARASHIMA is still the Extreme Champion! HARASHIMA thanked Shuten-dōji for helping him. They were still presumably fighting with DAMNATION backstage but if they could hear HARASHIMA, he invited them out to go drinking later.

All the hard work Shunma Katsumata has put into his training has finally paid off. ALL OUT are now the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions! He with the help of his partners whittled the champions down to just Yuki Ueno in the ring. While Kota Umeda & Koju Takeda did what they could to keep the match alive, Konosuke Takeshita & Akito held them back long enough for Katsumata to finish the job. Takeshita told Katsumata backstage that his efforts in training was finally rewarded. Akito also reminded Katsumata that ALL OUT is not just the three of them. There’s Diego as well and it feels like he was with them in spirit supporting their title win. Over at the losing side, Ueno is worried that his team won’t be able to bounce back from this because they aren’t a proper unit. All they can do is work hard but today they learned that individual power by itself is not enough.

KUDO never thought his wrestling career would last 15 years. He was able to do it with all of the support from his friends, his seniors and his juniors. His anniversary match ended with him pinning Makoto Oishi to win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title and to cap it all off, he was even given flowers from HARASHIMA. KUDO is happy but now feels a little worried about having the Iron Man Title on him.

Sammy Guevara didn’t come to DDT to make friends, at least that’s judging by the middle finger he gave Mike Bailey at the start of their match. At first Bailey was one step ahead of of the newcomer. Some surprise pop-up Knee Strikes and dives put Guevara in control until the Green Tea Plunge came out of nowhere to give Bailey the victory. Backstage Bailey said he will be spending a month in England. When he comes back he wants himself and MAO to go after the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Guevara called Bailey a terrible high flyer and demanded a rematch. He also wants everyone to go look at his Youtube channel. Guevara was later seen standing with Mizuki Watase in Irie’s corner for the main event.

Let’s look at all of the reasons why Toru Owashi was disqualified in the opener. Unmasking two wrestlers and allegedly attacking everybody with three chairs, a broom, a basin, a bottle of oil and a ladder. He had so many items attached to him that he ended up looking like a game of Buckaroo! The last minute loser leaves town stipulation meant that Owashi is now banished from Japan. DDT immediately announced that Washitimo Dragon will make his debut on 26th June. Yuki Iino came down wearing an Ultimo Dragon mask to carry Owashi away from ringside with a few other wrestlers. Then there was another announcement. The real Ultimo Dragon is coming back to DDT on 3rd July!

Aaron Anders was able to give Kouki Iwasaki the Twisting Flapjack after Mizuki Watase tripped Iwasaki by the ropes.

Joey Ryan & Laura James have challenged Makoto Oishi & Misaki Ohata to a match at “RYOGOKU PETER PAN 2018” on 21st October. Ryan & James accuse Oishi & Ohata of stealing their idea of having a marriage proposal during a wrestling match. Oishi admitted he needed to do a couple of takes for the match announcement video because he kept saying his partner was Shiori Asahi instead of Ohata out of habit.

Taiyo Kea makes his DDT debut on the 25th August Korakuen Hall show.

The Up Up Girls (Fake) wanted to perform a dance routine at the start of the show but Imabayashi mercifully stopped them.

DDT’s return to the Handmade In Japan Fes on 7th July will feature one match. It will be Sanshiro Takagi & Kazusada Higuchi Vs HARASHIMA & Keisuke Ishii Vs Danshoku Dieno & Makoto Oishi in a 3 Way Tag Match.

Kazuki Hirata and Toru Owashi are the latest DDT wrestlers to get gender-swapped characters for the Ring☆Dream online game. Their characters will be added during the summer.

7. If You Wrestle, Do Something Like This! Matsuyama Specialty 6-Man Tag Match: HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Masahiro Takanashi defeated Daisuke Sasaki, Soma Takao & Mad Paulie when HARASHIMA pinned Paulie with the Somato (15:39).
*HARASHIMA wins Mad Paulie’s Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet.

The tide is turning in the HARASHIMA Vs DAMNATION feud and it’s given HARASHIMA a big prize in the process. He pinned Mad Paulie in the main event to win his Right To Challenge Gauntlet. HARASHIMA took Soma Takao’s version of the Somato during the match and said it works unexpectedly well. He admits it is a move he has to watch out for in the DDT Extreme Title 3 Way Match.

Almost one year on from their match for KO-D Openweight Title, Konosuke Takeshita and Mike Bailey were brought together for another round. Like last time Takeshita came out of it the winner. Takeshita said backstage that both he and Bailey have upgraded their abilities since their last match. He praised Bailey for getting used to the Japanese style and using that to improve himself.

Makoto Oishi foiled Takatimo Dragon’s unmasking technique by simply throwing the mask into the audience before Yukinori Matsui saw him with it. Takatimo then left to search for his mask Oishi and Danshoku Dieno then formed a Hell Gate tower in the corner. Hiratimo Dragon had his head shoved inbetween both of their backsides and got stuck. His mask slipped off when he was pulled out. Takatimo returned with his mask, handed it to Saki Akai and tricked Matsui into disqualifying her. After the match Takatimo asked the crowd if they wanted to see Hiratimo cash in one of his Right To Challenge Gauntlets. Hiratimo refused to do it. He said he would not be able to win after getting his head stuck between two smelly asses.

Former DDT trainee turned amateur MMA fighter Ryutaro Watanabe had his debut pro wrestling match against Tetsuya Endo. Although he didn’t win, Watanabe was pleased to finally go through with his debut. He remembers Endo from their training days. They got along back then but he thinks Endo is a different person now. Still, having Endo as your first opponent is a good starting point. Watanabe will stay where he is now but it open to wrestling more whenever shows will be held in his region.

ALL OUT’s momentum against the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champions was halted when Yuki Ueno pinned Shunma Katsumata in their final preview match. Akito pointed out to Katsumata that they can’t treat Ueno like a junior like they used to in DNA. Their opponents are champions and should be treated as such. Ueno thinks that Katsumata hasn’t gained much from his Gold’s Gym workouts.

Sanshiro Takagi said that next year is the 5th year DDT will be promoting shows in Matsuyama. He promises there will be a big match on next year’s show to celebrate the milestone. The hope is to find a venue with a capacity of around 1,000 people for the show.

The “Day & Night” part of the show’s name referred to a doubleshot DDT was doing with Big Japan today. This DDT show was held in the afternoon and Big Japan held their show in the evening. There was little interaction between the two companies though. The only Big Japan presence here was Ryuichi Kawakami promoting their show during intermission.

6n. Kazusada Higuchi eliminated Kota Umeda with the Doctor Bomb (29:06).

Six envelopes were hung above the ring for the main event. Out of the 15 wrestlers fighting over them it was Mizuki Watase, Tetsuya Endo, MAO, Antonio Honda, Ken Ohka and Meiko Satomura who pulled one down each. Kazusada Higuchi went on to win the Battle Royal portion of the match, last pinning his rival Kota Umeda to get the guaranteed KO-D Openweight Title shot on 24th June. After the match each of the prize winners opened their envelopes to discover what they won. Everybody got a Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere gauntlet except for Ohka. He pulled out a piece of paper that said “Punishment Game”. He now has to participate in one for next week’s episode of “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI”.

The others can cash in their gauntlet for a KO-D Title match whenever they want between now and 14th October. However if any of them lose a wrestling match in any company they must pass the gauntlet over to the person who beats them. That rule stays in effect until the title match is cashed in. Watase has no intention to use his title shot while Shigehiro Irie is the champion. He will wait until somebody else beats Irie but that totally won’t happen. Endo wants to sell his gauntlet. MAO thinks his gauntlet looks cool so he doesn’t want to get rid of it yet. Honda will wait for the right moment to cash in. Satomura has a busy schedule with Sendai Girls but will keep close attention to DDT in the meantime. She wants to get her title match whenever the opportunity is most attractive to her.

Daisuke Sasaki came to a decision over what kind of match HARASHIMA and Soma Takao will have for the DDT Extreme Title. It’s a match where chairshots and low blows don’t matter. It will be a 3 Way Match with himself included! HARASHIMA realised he will be in a 2-on-1 Handicap then wondered is Sasaki was still injured. Sasaki admitted he was never injured! He took that back when Yukio Sakaguchi threatened him. HARASHIMA accepted the match idea and promised the fans he will definitely win.

The AbemaTV audience got to decide the rules for Danshoku Dieno Vs Tanomusaku Toba. The choices included Normal Rules, Pinfall Only and KO Only but the viewers overwhelmingly chose the last option, Kiss Only. Pins and submissions would only count if the wrestler kissed the opponent in the process. Toba told everyone that he got married in February and he now has stepchildren. His 6th grade stepdaughter accepted him but his 1st grade stepson Yuto refuses to call him Dad. Toba wanted to beat Dieno to earn Yuto’s adoration. He hesitated to follow the Kiss Only rule but he had to do what he had to do. Unfortunately Dieno gave his own Lip Lock to Toba, hit an Exploder Suplex and won the match with the True Danshoku Driver. Dieno used his screen time after the match to speak to Yuto on the stream. Dieno said Toba is not even close to being a great person and he likes to visit Chinese salons to pass the time. But no matter how beaten up he gets, he always stands back up through clenched teeth even though he doesn’t have many teeth left. Toba promised he will make Yuto proud somehow. Dieno gave Toba another Lip Lock and he fell down, exposing his ass to the camera.

Makoto Oishi lived up to last week’s ruling and had his head shaved into a Reverse Mohawk. He defended the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title against Yoshihiko in a hard fought battle that ended in defeat. Oishi gave Yoshihiko a Turnbuckle Bomb then he climbed the turnbuckles for Corner Punches. Yoshihiko grabbed Oishi and Power Bombed him into the centre of the ring. It then hit the Resurrection for the three count to become the champion. Oishi swore revenge. At least on the bright side his new wife Misaki Ohata likes the hairstyle.

Shunma Katsumata says he is already feeling great after a week working out in Gold’s Gym. Konosuke Takeshita noticed Katsumata was more confident today and that added a sense of security surrounding their team.

The show began with a new commercial for the Suntory drink Jasmine Tea starring Kota Ibushi and Yuki Ueno. In the ad Ueno plays a salaryman who experiences a refreshing sensation from drinking Jasmine Tea that is represented by Ibushi giving him different wrestling moves.

*V1 for Makoto Oishi.
6. Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi (c) defeated Mike Bailey & MAO when Sekimoto pinned Bailey with a Lariat (17:07).

The main event match had to be changed because of Yuki Ueno’s injury. With him missing the show, he and Kota Umeda were no longer able to challenge for the KO-D Tag Team Titles so the match was cancelled entirely. Instead Daisuke Sekimoto & Kazusada Higuchi were given a non-title match against Mike Bailey & MAO. A table was taken from the stage and brought into the ring. Bailey went to do the Ultima Weapon to Higuchi on the table but Higuchi moved out of the way. Higuchi kept MAO away while Sekimoto went to finish off Bailey. The German Suplex was kicked out of but Sekimoto won the match with a Lariat afterwards. Higuchi told Bailey & MAO that he and Sekimoto will always be ready to defend the Tag Titles against anyone. Hisaya Imabayashi told the champions that their next defence is scheduled to 5th June. They asked for challengers and ALL OUT appeared. Higuchi approved of getting to fight Konosuke Takeshita but he doesn’t think Shunma Katsumata is qualified enough to be in the match. Katsumata said he knows the strategy to beat the champions but Takeshita cut him off and said he needed muscles too. He told Katsumata to go get a Gold’s Gym membership and spend the next two weeks working out so he can be ready for the title match.

Soma Takao again gave HARASHIMA a Low Blow during their match. Masahiro Takanashi almost had Takao pinned but Takao countered it into the Gin And Tonic to get DAMNATION the win. HARASHIMA challenged Takao to another singles match but Takao refused to say anything. Daisuke Sasaki spoke on his behalf and told HARASHIMA he already lost to Takao. He then went down on his hands and knees and mockingly asked HARASHIMA for forgiveness. Tetsuya Endo & Mad Paulie stopped Sasaki and picked him back up. HARASHIMA sweetened the deal by putting the DDT Extreme Title on the line. Takao still kept quiet so HARASHIMA said he would even let him pick the match stipulation. If it involves chairshots and low blows then HARASHIMA will be more than happy to beat him that way. Takao continued to be mute but Sasaki accepted the offer. He promised Takao that he will pick the best rules for DAMNATION.

As part of last week’s stipulation, Makoto Oishi had to change his hair to the perm hairstyle. Danshoku Dieno joked that Oishi was now Punch Oishi. He was kind of proven right when a hard punch from Oishi to Kouki Iwasaki was the set up to Oishi winning the match. Oishi thanked everyone for seeing his perm hairstyle for the first and last time. However he was then told that AbemaTV held another viewer vote during the match. The choices were either keep the perm, get a reverse mohawk, shave his head or shave his eyebrows. The fans voted and next week Oishi has to get a reverse mohawk!

When ALL OUT faced Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase, Katsumata recovered from a Double Stomp Fire Thunder combo thanks to Takeshita breaking the pin. Katsumata stunned Watase with a Thrust Kick then used a Swan Dive X Factor to get him in position for a new finisher. The Moonsault Foot Stomp got ALL OUT a big win and in part sets up their KO-D Tag Title shot.

The “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI” return of the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title brought along the usual mayhem surrounding the belt. The defending champion Saki Akai started off the Rumble with Maki Itoh but she was quickly pinned by the third entrant Nobuhiro Shimatani. He brought in a chair to defend himself but Antonio Honda, Maki Itoh and Toru Owashi all piled up on top of him for the three count. Since the chair was being pressed down on Shimatani during the pin, Yukinori Matsui ruled that the Chair was now the champion! The eliminations continued until Honda and the Chair were the last two left. Honda hit the Chair with a Bionic Elbow and pinned it to win the title. Shimatani attacked Honda with the chair after the match and the guest commentator Kumiko Funayama tried but failed to pin Honda. Itoh then snuck up on Honda and won the belt with a School Boy. An hour later Shimatani chased Itoh back into the ring with the chair. Akai came over too and kicked Itoh with a Big Boot. That was when Oishi showed up and stole the pin. His celebration stopped when the room went dark. The lights came on and Yoshihiko was perched on Oishi’s shoulders! Yoshihiko gave Oishi a DDT but Oishi’s perm cushioned the blow and he was able to kick out of the pin. He grabbed Yoshihiko by the neck and told it that they will fight for the Iron Man Title next week!

The changes in the main event meant that Bailey and Umeda changed places. Umeda was moved to a singles match against Jason Kincaid.

DDT “ROJO WRESTLING IN TOSHIMAEN”, 25/05/2018
Tokyo Toshimaen

1. Sanshiro Takagi, Ippanjin Munenori Sawa & Meiko Satomura Vs X, X & X

Isami Kodaka, Shunma Katsumata, Meiko Satmoura and Cassandra Miyagi have been added to the show. Every match is planned to be a trios match with two men and one woman on every team. The only confirmed team so far is Satomura joining Sanshiro Takagi & Ippanjin Munenori Sawa. Their team name is Hentai Sendai Big Boss. Satomura isn’t thrilled with the name. The reason this show is taking place is because Toshimaen holds a dark secret. By day it is an amusement park but by night it transforms into a fighter training facility. The facility exists to develop a champion for Japan to enter the Fighting World Cup held every four years. Takagi claims that he has the management rights for Japan’s entry this year and put this show together to find his champion.

9. Special Single Match ~Heart~: Konosuke Takeshita Vs Antonio Honda

DDT held a press conference backstage in Korakuen Hall after “AUDIENCE 2018” ended to promote this show. Yukinori Matsui commented on all of the matches because he is organising the show as the link between DDT and the Osaka wrestling scene. He put together the Shigehiro Irie Vs Magnitude Kishiwada match because of their interactions in last year’s “DRAMATIC DREAMS!” show. Bad blood still exists between the two and that was shown when they had a chair duel in front of everyone. Kuishinbo Kamen also interviewed Super Sasadango Machine from the front row. Finally, Konosuke Takeshita and Antonio Honda spoke about their upcoming match against each other. Takeshita feels free as a bird now that he no longer has the pressures of defending the KO-D Openweight Title. However the downside of that is he has nothing to connect with and feels kind of aimless right now. Honda values freedom in pro wrestling and hopes to teach that lesson to Takeshita.

Injuries have caused some changes in the card. Yuki Ueno hasn’t recovered so Naomi Yoshimura takes his place in the match against Dick Togo. Also Shoichi Uchida broke his heel back in April and has not recovered in time to wrestle on this show. The good news is Akito has recovered from his injury and gets his first match back here.

1. KO-D Openweight Title Next Challenger Decision & Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Rumble: X Vs X

The crazy rumble is back. Several prizes will be on the line including a guaranteed KO-D Title shot on 24th June. The other prize is the Right To Challenge Anytime, Anywhere Gauntlet. It works exactly like the Money In The Bank briefcase in WWE but there is the added condition that whoever owns the gauntlet has to defend it in every match they appear in until they cash in their title shot. There are usually several gauntlets up for grabs and that leads to a wave of gauntlet switches from wrestler to wrestler throughout the summer. It’s a handy way to make the lesser DDT shows more eventful to follow.

6. DDT Extreme Title – Regular Rules: HARASHIMA (c) defeated KUDO with the Somato (13:34).
*V1 for HARASHIMA.
7. Hakata Specialty Special 4 Way Match: Shigehiro Irie defeated Keisuke Ishii, Kazusada Higuchi and Kota Umeda when Irie pinned Ishii with the Beast Bomber (14:10).

As we get closer to their KO-D Openweight Title match, Shigehiro Irie is starting to figure Keisuke Ishii out. In a reverse from last week’s 4 Way Match this time Irie was able to get the better of his challenger. Irie kicked out of Ishii’s Hurricanrana then dropped him with a Death Valley Driver. Ishii then won with the Cannonball Drop followed by the Beast Bomber.

HARASHIMA avenged last year’s loss to KUDO by beating him in his first DDT Extreme Title defence. Yuko Miyamoto definitely left some influence on the champion because he used the Fire Thunder on KUDO shortly before hitting the Somato for the win. Soma Takao tried to attack HARASHIMA with a chair after his victory speech. HARASHIMA grabbed another chair to fight back but he was attacked from behind by Tetsuya Endo and Mad Paulie. Takao then hit him with a chair shot. Takao said in a later interview that this is the road he chose and he does not regret it.

MAO and Yuki Ueno agreed to work together against Danshoku Dieno. Both of them got groped pretty badly by Dieno but the numbers game soon worked out. Ueno missed the Frog Splash when Dieno rolled out of the way but all that did was position Dieno for MAO’s Cannonball 450. MAO and Ueno were both happy because they perished the evil wrestler together. Dieno then came back and gave Ueno a Lip Lock before chasing MAO out of the ring.

7. Yonago Specialty Irakuru! Special! Tag Match: Shigehiro Irie & Jason Kincaid Vs Keisuke Ishii & Makoto Oishi

The big news happening in DDT this week is Soma Takao breaking up the remains of Smile Squash so he can join with DAMNATION. This was a plan that had been brewing in the background for a long time and Takao isn’t just joining the unit to be another one of Dasuke Sasaki’s pets. Maybe by teaming with Tetsuya Endo, Takao can make Endo focus more. Endo seems to be more interested in showing off his pet beetle than wrestling his best lately.

Kouki Iwasaki was supposed to be wrestling this weekend but had to pull out due to acute gastroenteritis. In other words he has diarrhoea.

6. Special Single Match: HARASHIMA Vs Soma Takao
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Shigehiro Irie (c) Vs Keisuke Ishii

HARASHIMA gets his shot at revenge on Takao. But with Smile Squash pretty much done for, the numbers game is way against him now.

Kazusada Higuchi already defeated one half of the tag team No. 1 Contenders. Now he’s facing the other. Higuchi and Kota Umeda had a lot of battles against each other in the early years of DNA. It’s time to reginite that feud!

Makoto Oishi thinks the time for change has come. For too long DDT was built around men like Danshoku Dieno, Antonio Honda and Super Sasadango Machine. Oishi has found the next generation of wrestlers to take their place: Nobuhiro Shimatani, Daiki Shimomura, Yuki Iino and lastly of course himself. The two sides will battle for the future of DDT! At least that’s what Oishi wants to think.

We have another Lucha Libre superstar joining the ranks. Rihotimo Dragon makes her debut.

6. DNA-gun Vs Naomi Kingdom!: Shunma Katsumata, Yuki Ueno & Koju Takeda defeated Naomi Yoshimura, Keisuke Okuda & Akira Jo when Ueno pinned Jo with the Frog Splash (19:15).

The DNA side score another big victory over the Naomi Kingdom! But there wasn’t time for celebrations. Yuki Ueno went straight to the point and challenged Naomi Yoshimura to a singles match on the next DNA show. It was accepted and the match takes place on 3rd June in Shinjuku. Ueno said he will punish the Naomi Kingdom and a win over Yoshimura might end their feud for good.

Ryota Nakatsu and Kouki Iwasaki got into blows after Match #4. After they were pulled apart Nakatsu yelled at Iwasaki until Iwasaki threw a chair at him. Nakatsu challenged him to a match next month.

Yuki Iino announced his first match back from injury will happen at the 3rd June show. His opponent is Kota Umeda. Iino wants to beat Umeda and take over his role as DDT’s next rising star.

Choun-Shiryu and Rekka put aside their differences after their match. Rekka said that he fought with all his strength and lost but he was still happy to wrestle Shiryu. Shiryu said that Asia is moving quickly with the times. According to him the time for problems between nations, borders and race is over. As proof of this, Shiryu gave Rekka a New Beijing T-shirt as a gift and asked him to represent New Beijing at the next DNA show. Rekka accepted because they are now friends.

At the start of the show Daiki Shimomura pointed out that there are less fans in the crowd than usual today. He encouraged everyone to raise their efforts to have exciting matches for those who came to see them.
