A few weeks ago Shigehiro Irie & Mizuki Watase fought Naoki Tanizaki & Kohei Kinoshita on a KOBE Meriken Pro show. Kinoshita pulled off an upset by pinning Watase and made the argument afterwards to get a shot at the Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Titles. That led to the rematch today in Ganbare☆Pro where the champions got their revenge with a successful title defence. Ken Ohka then challenged Irie & Watase for the titles on 17th November. His partner is going to be Shuji Ishikawa just like how it was meant to be back in August before that month’s show was cancelled because of a typhoon. However Ohka admitted he doesn’t know yet if Ishikawa is actually available for the new date. He’s confident Ishikawa will be there.

Keisuke Ishii has now tied the record for most successful Spirit Of Ganbare World Title defences after he beat Hartley Jackson.

A press conference was held today for ShunMao and the challengers to sign the KO-D Tag Team Titles match contract. Danshoku Dieno appeared alone and called Makoto Oishi to find out where he is. Oishi said he overslept and he was already in a taxi on the way over to the building. After a 10 minute wait Oishi still had not appeared so the contract signing went ahead without him. Dieno apologized dogeza style and convinced ShunMao to let him sign the contract without the need for Oishi’s signature. Shunma Katsumata called it a sign of Oishi being careless and MAO said when the match happens he will deliver the final blow to Oishi. When it was time for the group photo, Oishi finally arrived and entered the room intending to ambush the champions. But MAO noticed him coming and kicked him in the groin. Oishi admitted he was going to attack MAO to give his team the advantage but he really did oversleep and arrived to the conference late. He explained he went to be late last night, woke up this morning to do his laundry, went back to bed until almost noon. Oishi apologised by doing a full vertical headstand that he calls the ultimate dogeza. He then talked about the title match but mistakingly said it was happened on 3rd November, not 3rd October. MAO scolded him for getting the date wrong and called it was a disgrace.

Oishi’s last day in DDT has gotten even busier. He helped train Kaisei Takechi for his wrestling matches and Takechi wants to show his appreciation for it by teaming with him before he goes. Oishi already has a KO-D Tag Titles match lined up but ShunMao gave their blessing for him to do the Takechi match too. It sounds like the Takechi match will happen before the title match on the day.

After a whole bunch of failed cash in attempts, To-y lost his chance at fighting Yuki Iino for the DDT Universal Title when the Right To Challenge Shield was taken away from him. However To-y didn’t let that stop him from still trying to get Iino’s attention. No matter how many times Iino took him down with the Spear, To-y refused to give up. Iino now sees how much heart To-y is showing him so he agreed to finally give him his title shot.

I found out where Azul Dragon defended the O-40 Title. He held an event back in June called Karaokekan Pro Wrestling and retained the title in a 3 Way Match with a bunch of silly rules attached to it.

The three singles matches on the show are put together to see if the new wrestlers can show what the future of Ganbare☆Pro will be like. It’s a big spot for the likes of Munetatsu Nakamura, Daisuke®️, Shota Kawakami and maybe even Yuki Kanzaki. But if Keisuke Ishii and Ken Ohka win their matches in dominant ways that too could show GanPro’s future is not going to change much.

In the past there have been three singles matches Shinya Aoki and HARASHIMA had against each other. Aoki has a 2-1 record against HARASHIMA but still considers his opponent to be the undisputed ace of DDT. He is looking forward to finding out if he can make it three wins out of four or if HARASHIMA will even the score and win the KO-D Openweight Title in the process.

The new DDT Extreme Champion wasted no time in choosing his first challenger. Akito has always admired Dieno for being a symbol of DDT’s creativity. Even when Akito feuded with Pheromones he hated seeing Dieno play in a supporting role rather than the group leader. Akito played a part in taking away Pheromones from Dieno so he wants to flip roles and give Dieno a chance to take his beloved Extreme Title away from him.

Kota Ibushi will be on the show.

Last month’s cancelled show delayed the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title match to today. In the meantime Keisuke Ishii got to wrestle Yuji Nagata recently and was inspired to use the Nagata Lock II on Takuya Wada. He had to let go due to a rope break but Ishii went back to his usual moveset and eventually won with the High Angle Double Arm DDT. Ishii encouraged Wada to keep fighting him and said they should have three more matches against each other. Ishii told the fans he will lead Ganbare☆Pro for as long as his willpower and body can handle it. Hartley Jackson entered the ring and told Ishii he is a strong champion, but Jackson is ichiban! He will face Ishii for the SOG Title in Osaka on 3rd November.

After Match #5 Mizuki Watase was confronted in the ring by Yuna Manase. She said Watase is doing more to carry the weight of GanPro in other promotions than anyone else. However Manase wants to make her name inside GanPro so she is challenging Watase & Shigehiro Irie for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles! Watase accepted her challenge, saying he and Irie want to defend the titles against anyone who is motivated regardless of their gender, nationality or what promotion the represent. Manase wants the title shot to happen on 14th October in the main event and she already decided YuuRI is going to be her tag partner. Whenever they team together they are called Nippon Ganbare☆Rengo. The move has Shuichiro Katsumura’s approval. He was going to challenge the champions with Ken Ohka but he’s happy to support his “cute little sisters” instead. Watase is Katsumura’s “nasty little brother” so he won’t be cheering for him.

At the start of the show Yumehito Imanari talked about being undefeated in GanPro ever since they went independent. He asked Michiyoshi Mishima to be rewarded with a SOG Title shot if he could beat Jackson today. Mishima agreed but Imanari ended up losing the match. That led to Jackson challenging Ishii for the title at the end of the show instead.

Another reason why Manase made her tag title challenge was to help push the Ganbare☆Joshi division towards the main event of GanPro cards. GanJo matches are usually held during the first half of the regular shows and when Match #3 was finished Manase asked Mishima to book a GanJo bout for the main event of the 14th October show. Mishima said he would think about it but Manase was not happy with that answer. Then the stuff already written above happened later as a compromise.

HARUKAZE finds herself in the opposite end from Imanari. She has yet to win a match in GanPro since the group went independent and vowed today would be her first victory. That didn’t happen because London Machine made her submit to the Argentine Backbreaker. Both of them tried pulling on each other’s masks during the match.

Even though Munetatsu Nakamura lost in the opening match, he made a request afterwards. Takashi Sasaki was in attendance and Nakamura asked him if he could be booked for the FREEDOMS show at Korakuen Hall on 10th October. Sasaki was impressed by how proactive Nakamura is to ask him directly instead of contacting the FREEDOMS office. However Jun Masaoka took offence and told both Nakamura & Shota Kawakami they need to practice more. A brawl broke out between the teams. Masaoka & Gaia Hox ended up getting the better of the GanPro rookies again.

At the end of the show Ohka interrupted Ishii’s closing speech to give everyone an announcement. GanPro will return to Korakuen Hall on 11th April, 2025! It will be GanPro’s first time booking Korakuen as an independent promotion. The previous times were all done under DDT or CyberFight’s control. Ishii said never in his 16 year career has he main evented a Korakuen show as a singles champion. He will do his best to headline Korakuen with the SOG Title and close out the show with fans chanting his name.

The second of three shows held in Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR today was a collaboration between the Ganbare☆Joshi division and the women from 666. Well, some of the wrestlers on the 666 side were gender swapped parodies of other wrestlers. In the main event Ram Kaichow, Maya Yukihi & YuuRI fought a gender swapped parody of Ozaki-gun with Onryo as Mayumi Ozaki, Konaka = Pale One as Maya Yukihi and Ken Ohka as Yumi Ohka (Ken claims he and Yuki are actually cousins). Also earlier in the show Rina Yamashita had to fight herself as played by Taro Yamada.

I Chose The Wrong Time To Go On Holiday

2. SAKI, Yuko Sakurai & Yuki Mashiro defeated HARUKAZE, Yuna Manase & Banny Oikawa when SAKI pinned HARUKAZE with the Running Brainbuster (8:58).
3. Fire Festival – A Block: Yumehito Imanari (10) defeated Satsuki Nagao (10) with the Lou Thesz Press (11:19).
4. Moeka Haruhi Return Match: Shuichiro Katsumura & YuuRI defeated Yusaku Ito & Moeka Haruhi when YuuRI pinned Haruhi with a German Suplex (12:09).
5. Ken Ohka, Keisuke Ishii & Tyson Maeguchi defeated Shigehiro Irie, Mizuki Watase & Rekka when Ohka pinned Watase with the Flame Spear (12:13).
6. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Keisuke Ishii (c) defeated Hong Kong International Police Man with the Momoiro Kick (15:59).

Today was a big show for Ganbare☆Pro because it drew the largest crowd they have ever had at Takashimadaira Kumin Center! The main event was advertised as Keisuke Ishii defending the Spirit Of Ganbare World Title against Hong Kong International Police Man. However when it was time for the match to happen Police Man was nowhere to be found. Instead Choun-Shiryu walked out as his replacement! Ishii was still able to beat him using the Momoiro Kick, his name for the Kneel Kick. After the match he thanked “Police Man” because it was the first singles match they ever had together. Takuya Wada then entered the ring and challenged Ishii for the championship. It will take place on 16th August. Wada and the other wrestlers from the 1970s group then joined together in the ring to close out the show.

Ken Ohka was able to beat one of the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Champions by pinning Mizuki Watase with the Flame Spear. Shigehiro Irie taunted Ohka after the match by raising his title belt in the air. At the end of the show Ohka sent a video call to Shuji Ishikawa on his phone. Ohka asked Ishikawa if they could team up and challenge for the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Titles on 16th August. Ishikawa agreed to the idea. Ohka originally wanted Isami Kodaka or Minoru Fujita to be his partner but Kodaka is unavailable and Fujita turned him down.

It was a special return to the ring for Moeka Haruhi. She has been away from wrestling for over a year in order to donate a kidney to her sister. For her comeback match Haruhi was teaming up with Yusaku Ito, a wrestler who has received a kidney transplant. She was disappointed to lose the match but thanked Shuichiro Katsumura & YuuRI for protecting GanPro during her hiatus. She also thanked everyone for supporting her during this period especially when there were times she felt at her weakest. Today is the beginning of her second chapter and it will start with her joining GanPro on a full time basis! She promised the fans they next time they see her she will win her match.

Lately Yumehito Imanari has been over in ZERO1 competing in the Fire Festival tournament. As part of their relationship with GanPro, Imanari’s final block match against Satsuki Nagao was allowed to take place on this show. Imanari was able to win, ending his tournament run with two victories out of five matches and 10 points in total. Since he is the first wrestler in his block to complete all his matches and many are currently tied on 10 points he is unlikely to advance to the final. He compared fighting Nagao to fighting against Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani.

Meanwhile Yoshiko Hasegawa, Riara, Sayaka Unagi and Momoka Hanazono are facing each other in tag action. The dominant reign of GROUND ABSOLUTE is over! After six successful defences of the Spirit Of Ganbare Tag Team Titles they have fallen to the former RENEGADES in their seventh defence. While Takuya Wada and Shigehiro Irie got into blows late in the match, it all came down to Mizuki Watase countering Shuichiro Katsumura’s Ninja Choke into a Brainbuster. Katsumura fired back with a Knee Strike but Watase hit him with Running Elbow Butts until he could pin the champion for the three count. Watase said he wanted to win the tag titles after watching GROUND ABSOLUTE beat Hentai Punch Drunkers for them at Ota Ward Gymnasium last July. Irie was the only partner he ever had in mind to team with because Irie has never abandoned him. He now wants to defend the titles ten times in a row. Irie said he had lost his confidence after failing to win back the wXw Unified World Title in Germany earlier this year so he put in a lot of effort today. He is happy to be a champion with somebody he trusts. Watase suggested they could do a full RENEGADES revival and bring back all of the other members.

The Battle Royal did in fact have more than the six wrestlers advertised taking part including Tyson Maeguchi and Minoru Fujita who both appealed on social media to be added to the match. Yuna Manase joined forces with Baliyan Akki for a little while because it was recently Akki’s birthday. Gabai Ji-chan took so long to walk down to the ring that Daisuke®️ made it in there before him despite being the next entrant after him. Choun-Shiryu went missing before the show and was replaced by Hong Kong International Police Man. The cop made it to the end of the match where he dodged Ken Ohka’s Spear, gave him the Chinese Gory Bomb and then pinned him with the Project A to become the No. 1 Contender for the Spirit Of Ganbare Title. After the match Keisuke Ishii said he has never interacted with Police Man until now and he’ll be honored to defend the title against him. However when he went to shake his hand, Police Man gave him a salute instead and left the ring.

On 27th July Ganbare☆Joshi will be co-hosting an all woman’s show with Triple Six as part of a tripleheader in Oji BASEMENT MONSTAR. One of the other shows on that day will be an all men’s show held that Ganbare☆Pro is holding by themselves. The first match announced is Ken Ohka Vs Keisuke Ishii Vs Shota Kawakami in a battle between wrestlers born in three different decades.

Moeka Haruhi announced she will be teaming with Yusaku Ito from Dove Pro for her return match on 15th July. The reason is because Haruhi recently donated her kidney while Ito himself is a recipient of a kidney transplant.
