The way the team is laid out has Akai as the leader, Asuka as the sub-leader and Shida as the “New Member”.

2. King Of DDT 2019 – Semi Final: X Vs X
3. King Of DDT 2019 – Final: X Vs X

The official news update for this show is Maku Donaruto will be there! The unofficial news is Keisuke Ishii wants to cash in his Right To Challenge Gauntlet on this show so he can face Endo for the KO-D Title. Due to the new rules that are meant to encourage surprise cash ins, DDT is currently in a position where they cannot promote Endo Vs Ishii for now and have to act like it won’t be happening.

DDT “GOLDEN DDT THEATER 2019”, 25/05/2019
Kitazawa Town Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: Antonio Honda (c) Vs Akito

Something that Antonio Honda and Akito have in common is they both think their biggest career highlight involved the DDT Extreme Title. So it’s fitting the two will fight over it.

DDT “WRESTLE MATSUYAMANIA 2019”, 02/06/2019
Ehime World Trade Center

1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Yukio Sakaguchi

During a press conference yesterday Endo was supposed to select one of the seven losers in the King Of DDT 1st Round to defend the KO-D Title against. However he struggled to remember any of the wrestlers he could choose from. Hisaya Imabayashi listed the names and Endo commented after each one. Kota Umeda? He’s the guy who always hurts his knees. MAO? He’s a fucked up bad guy. Mike Bailey? He’s that guy who can’t do anything without MAO. HARASHIMA? Endo hates him. Kazuki Hirata? Endo would choose him but Hirata is already wrestling for a championship at the show. Yuki Ueno? He was thrown away by his friend. Yukio Sakaguchi? Beaten by Daisuke Sasaki and he won’t stop crying about it.

What Endo didn’t realise was that Sakaguchi was in the building and overheard Endo’s comments. He crashed the press conference and attacked Endo, beating him down! Sakaguchi used Endo’s “Two types of people in the world” motto against him and said he is now on his kill list! When Sakaguchi stormed out of the room, Endo demanded that he be his opponent for the KO-D Title match! This won’t be a pro wrestling match, Endo says he will kill Sakaguchi!

5. DDT Extreme Title – Panty☆Hunt Tiger Cub Rope Death Match: Antonio Honda defeated HARASHIMA when Honda stripped off HARASHIMA’s panties (12:04).
*HARASHIMA fails in V2. Antonio Honda becomes the 44th DDT Extreme Champion!
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles – 3 Way Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) defeated MAO & Mike Bailey and Ricky Starks & Mike Rollins when Takao pinned MAO with a Reverse Gory Special Bomb (13:13).
*V1 for DAMNATION.
7. Special Match: Shinya Aoki defeated Konosuke Takeshita with the Foot Choke (7:03).
8. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) defeated Makoto Oishi with the Shooting Star Press (28:18).
*V1 for Tetsuya Endo.

So close yet so far for Makoto Oishi. He went into the main event with a lot of support but little chance of beating Tetsuya Endo for the KO-D Openweight Title. But boy did he take a crack at it! Knowing that he had already beaten Endo with the Ground Cross 200 earlier this month, Oishi targeted Endo’s legs with Knee Crushers and a hanging Figure Four wrapped around the ring post. When Oishi finally applied the Ground Cross 200, Mad Paulie distracted the referee in order to break the hold. Endo also came close to losing after Oishi hit a Moonsault outside the ring, leaving Endo to barely escape a countout by entering the ring at 19. Oishi had one more unexpected trick to use and that was to give Endo a Danshoku Dieno style Lip Lock so he would be left vulnerable for a Piledriver. A Spinning Backfist and the Jikiden Tornado Clutch was the closest Oishi came to winning with a 2.9 pin count. But when Endo recovered he struck Oishi with the Handspring Overhead Kick and got a nearfall with the Spinning Torture Rack Bomb. From there Endo hit the Shooting Star Press for the victory.

Oishi was taken out of the ring to cheers but Endo stayed to hear what will happen next in the KO-D Title scene. Hisaya Imabayashi told him his next scheduled defence will be in Matsuyama on 2nd June. Endo joked that he wanted Nobuhiro Shimatani to be the challenger. Instead Keisuke Ishii walked out wearing his Right To Challenge Guantlet. Ishii told Endo he will cash in the Gauntlet for a KO-D Title match on 19th May at Korakuen Hall. Imabayashi told Ishii that this year the Gauntlet rules have changed and DDT will not permit any preempted cash ins. Ishii told him he has a plan and will use his cash in at the right time on the show to make it a surprise as the rules intended. So DDT cannot officially confirm or advertise Endo Vs Ishii for the title on the 15th but it will happen there somehow.

In a rematch from last December, Shinya Aoki avenged his loss to Konosuke Takeshita. In order to get into the different vibe of the match, Takeshita wrestled barefoot in plain black trunks. Aoki put him in a Sleeper Hold but Takeshita reached the ropes and stepped out to the apron to break it up. When Aoki let go, Takeshita jumped from the apron and Headbutted his opponent. He did a German Suplex, put Aoki into a Crab Hold and transitioned into a Cross Armbreaker. However control switched to Aoki and he cinched in the Foot Choke to make Takeshita give up. The two shook hands and bumped fists after the match.

The KO-D Tag Team Titles match was chaos as three teams fought it out for the belts. The champions Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao jumped everyone to start things off then The Moonlight Express hit a double Moonsault to the outside onto Ricky Starks & Mike Rollins. Sasaki put both Starks and Mike Bailey into a stacked Cross Facelock until MAO broke it up with a Springboard Senton. The Express gave Sasaki the Michinoku Tornado Driver but Starks & Rollins broke the pin. The Express got rid of Starks & Rollins when Bailey hit a Standing Shooting Star Knee Drop onto Rollins on the apron while MAO hit the Cannonball 450° on Starks. However Sasaki distracted the referee so Takao could give MAO a Low Blow. Takao then used a Vertebreaker (DDT is calling it a Reverse Gory Special Bomb in their results) to get the win and keep the tag belts in DAMNATION. Backstage MAO is disturbed over the result. He revealed his goal for the last three years was to get rid of DAMNATION and revert Tetsuya Endo back to the way he was before he joined that group. Recent events have been a major setback but MAO promises he will achieve his goal some day. Rollins is upset he lost his first Korakuen match. Starks said the two of them are Psycho & Sexy. They will always have a chance to win the tag titles the next time they come back to DDT. Sasaki mocked Takeshita for running away from the match to go play pro wrestling with Aoki.

Both HARASHIMA and Antonio Honda entered the ring wearing towels around their waists. They took off the towels to reveal they were both wearing panties over their gear. It was time for the Panty☆Hunt Tiger Cub Rope Death Match! The rules were the first person to remove their opponent’s panties would be the winner. But HARASHIMA and Honda also had to wrestle while they were tied together with a tiger rope with a cuddly little stuffed tiger toy attached to it. Honda used the tiger toy as a shield because HARASHIMA was too nice to harm the tiger. The two would then tie each other up in the rope until HARASHIMA hit the Somato. But Honda used the momentum to roll on top of HARASHIMA’s back and pull his panties off to become the new DDT Extreme Champion! HARASHIMA congratulated Honda on the win and when he left, Akito came out to challenge Honda. Akito brought up when Honda said the Extreme Title matches were the most exciting of his career. It was the same for Akito which is why he wants a title shot. They agreed to have the match in Kitazawa Town Hall on 25th May.

It’s a little over a year until the Olympic Games reach Tokyo but DDT is getting into the swing of things early by bringing in Yoshiaki Yatsu to wrestle for them. He kept everybody on their toes but it was Sanshiro Takagi who had the winner’s spotlight on him at the end. Takagi yelled “Thank you Heisei!” before he hit Hiroshi Yamato with the flying Clothesline From Hell to end the match. Takagi is now in possession of the Blue Right To Challenge Gauntlet.

Today was the first time Saki Akai & Asuka teamed together. It worked out great for them since they beat Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani. However Akai admitted the teamwork she had with Asuka felt incomplete. It needs more power because that is how Meiko Satomura measures other wrestlers no matter their gender. Since Akai only wrestles in DDT she went looking at other interesting places to find someone to give her team more power. She found that person. Joining Akai & Asuka for the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match on 11th May is Hikaru Shida!

Keisuke Okuda ends his tenure with DDT by kicking Yuki Iino in the head. There is no bad blood coming out of the match. Okuda shook hands with everyone and they all posed for a group photo. His history with Yuki Ueno in DNA is also water under the bridge as they were on friendly terms during the backstage interviews. Okuda also said he will miss Naomi Yoshimura because they wrestled as the Naomi Kingdom together. Okuda is now gone from the company but he thinks his path will cross with the DDT roster again in the future.

Two months after its pro wrestling debut, the mascot Pokotan returned to the ring for its second match. Disaster struck when Kazuki Hirata chopped Pokotan’s head off, revealing the top of its robotic frame underneath. Pokotan went haywire and attacked Hirata relentlessly. Yukinori Matsui tried to stop the mascot but he got thrown out of the ring, causing a disqualification. Pokotan then attacked everything in sight until Danshoku Dieno placed its head back on. That fixed the problem and Pokotan was back to its friendly, lovable self.

Dieno was part of the show opening festivities but got ambushed by Gota Ihashi and Nobuhiro Shimatani on two separate occasions. Dieno was able to fight both of them off in ways that only he can to stay as the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion.

Kenta Kobashi appeared after intermission to promote his next Fortune Dream show on 10th June. Kazusada Higuchi will be teaming with Yuji Okabayashi for a match against the NOAH team of Yoshiki Inamura & Go Shiozaki. When Ishii announced his plans at the end of the show he turned over to Kobashi at the commentary table and told him how much of a big fan he is of him. Ishii brought up Kobashi’s match with Terry Gordy on 21st May, 1993 in Sapporo that he is particularly fond of. Ishii said he will shine like Kobashi did on that day when he cashes in his title shot.

When Miyu Yamashita won the SHINE Title in New York earlier this month, she invited the former champion Allysin Kay to come to Japan for a championship rematch. Yamashita won the title by referee stoppage when she put Kay in a Modified Cobra Clutch. Kay thinks she was robbed of the title because she never gave up. So she is taking up Yamashita’s offer to have the rematch in Japan. She promises that this time there won’t be any funny business over the result.

King Of DDT 2019

April 16, 2019

It’s a little early this year but the King Of DDT is back for its 2019 edition. This time around the prize is a KO-D Openweight Title shot at “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2019” in Ota Ward Gymnasium on 15th July as well as 1,000,000 yen from the distributors of the DDT energy drink BLACK OUT. Only 14 wrestlers are taking part this year and the layout will be explained below. No newcomers, every entry has been in at least one previous King Of DDT tournament.

DDT “KING OF DDT 2019 1ST ROUND”, 29/04/2019
Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall

1. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1A: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Kota Umeda
2. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1B: Masahiro Takanashi Vs MAO
3. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1C: Mike Bailey Vs Soma Takao
4. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1D: Akito Vs HARASHIMA
5. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1E: Naomi Yoshimura Vs Kazuki Hirata
6. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1F: Yuki Ueno Vs Konosuke Takeshita
7. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 1G: Daisuke Sasaki Vs Yukio Sakaguchi

Every match in the tournament has no time limit. The big match of note is the rematch of Round 1’s final bout from 2018, Kazuki Hirata against Naomi Yoshimura. Hirata was a last minute replacement and he defeated Yoshimura to start a miracle run in the 32 man tournament. Yuki Ueno Vs Konosuke Takeshita is a match between two friends and generational rivals. Akito against HARASHIMA may be a preview of a future DDT Extreme Title match since Akito is challenging for that belt in May. Mike Bailey and Soma Takao are currently clashing in the chaos that is the KO-D Tag Team Titles scene. Last one to keep an eye on is Kazusada Higuchi Vs Kota Umeda. Those two click as both opponents and tag partners.

DDT “KING OF DDT 2019 2ND ROUND”, 06/05/2019
Hokkaido Sapporo Susukino Mars Gym

1. Loser Resurrection Battle Royal: X Vs X Vs X Vs X Vs X Vs X Vs X
2. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 2: Winner Of Round 1A Vs Winner Of Round 1B
3. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 2: Winner Of Round 1C Vs Winner Of Round 1D
4. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 2: Winner Of Round 1E Vs Winner Of Round 1F
5. King Of DDT 2019 – Round 2: Winner Of Round 1G Vs Winner Of Loser Resurrection Battle Royal

The losers of every match in Round 1 will be put into a last chance Battle Royal. The winner will qualify back into the tournament to fill the eighth and final spot in Round 2.

DDT “BLACK OUT PRESENTS KING OF DDT 2019 THE FINAL!!”, 19/05/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. King Of DDT 2019 – Semi Final: X Vs X
2. King Of DDT 2019 – Semi Final: X Vs X
3. King Of DDT 2019 – Final: X Vs X

The brackets will be reset for the semi finals. Those match ups will be determined at the end of the 6th May show when all Round 2 matches have been completed.

DDT “SOUKEN HOLDINGS PRESENTS MAX BUMP 2019”, 28/04/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Masahiro Takanashi & Pokotan (w/ Danshoku Dieno)
2. Keisuke Okuda Farewell Match: Keisuke Okuda, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Kota Umeda, Mizuki Watase & Yuki Iino

6. DDT Extreme Title – Panty☆Hunt Tiger Cub Rope Death Match: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Antonio Honda
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Makoto Oishi

There have been Tiger Cub Rope Death Matches in the past but none have ever had panties attached to them! This is what happens when HARASHIMA lets Antonio Honda come up with his match ideas.

With Shunma Katsumata out of action, a decision hasn’t been made over whether or not Konosuke Takeshita will still be in the KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Either he will get a new tag team partner or he will be removed and the match will be reduced to a 3 Way Tag.

DDT “GOLDEN DDT THEATER 2019”, 25/05/2019
Kitazawa Town Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Akito

What a sneaky little devil Akito is. I thought he used the title shot he won from the Dramatic General Election on the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match back at the start of the year. Turns out it didn’t because #STRONGHEARTS officially challenged ALL OUT for that match, not the other way round. That means Akito still has his shot and he wants to use it for the DDT Extreme Title. He is happy to face either HARASHIMA or Antonio Honda for it.

DDT “WRESTLE MATSUYAMANIA 2019”, 02/06/2019
Ehime World Trade Center

1. KO-D Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki & Soma Takao (c) Vs Kazuki Hirata & Maku Donaruto
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs X

This is a big show DDT is putting together in Ehime before their major summer event in Ota Ward Gymnasium. Names announced to appear include Tatsumi Fujinami, Yoshiaki Yatsu, Hideki Suzuki, former DDT trainee Ryutaro Watanabe and Rising HAYATO. Also joining the show are Ehime Pro Wrestling talents Bonjin Pulp, Mizuhime Saijo and Cutiely The Ehime.

Shuten-dōji Farewell, Max Bump Matches, Kaiju Princess, Injuries

April 16, 2019

DDT “SHUTEN-DOJI 5TH ANNIVERSARY ~DRINKING TURNS YOUR LIFE AROUND~”, 17/04/2019
Shinjuku FACE

1. Ebisuko Tavern Presents Tag Gauntlet Match: Poison Sawada JULIE & Hoshihebi Vs Danshoku Dieno & Kappa Kozo (w/ Miyako Haru) Vs Brahman Shu & Brahman Kei Vs Gorgeous Matsuno & X Vs Emi Sakura & Riho Vs Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Yasu Urano & Antonio Honda Vs Ryuichi Sekine & SAKAI (w/ Sayaka Obihiro)
2. The Final Battle Of The Last Order Of Peace! Group Drama Of Human Beings Born In Showa And Heisei! Which Is Tomorrow! ☆Saki Akai Styling Match☆: Saki Akai & Kazusada Higuchi Vs Rina Yamashita & Naomi Yoshimura
3. KUDO & HARASHIMA Vs MIKAMI & Tanomusaku Toba
4. Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Masahiro Takanashi

Saki Akai will be creating costumes for everyone involved in her match. The designs will be based on the Showa era of fashion for her team and the Heisei era of fashion for her opponents.

Kazusada Higuchi was missing from this past weekend’s shows because of an infection. He has been given permission from his doctor to take part in tomorrow’s Shuten-dōji farewell show.

Poison Sawada JULIE and one of his creations Hoshihebi have been added to the tag gauntlet. JULIE warns everyone that he will burn down Shinjuku FACE with glowing lotus flames!

Kazuhiko Ogasawara has a left knee injury and will be unable to wrestle. Gorgeous Matsuno will now have a mystery partner for the tag gauntlet.

BASARA “BASARA 94 ~BANQUET~”, 23/04/2019
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

1. Daiki Shimomura & Tsutomu Oosugi Vs Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizawa
2. Takumi Tsukamoto, Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi & Yasu Urano Vs Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino & Jun Masaoka
3. Aiseki Tag Vs Turnabout Pro Wrestling Trial Combination!: Fuminori Abe & Ikuto Hidaka Vs Gouma Ryu & Banana Senga
4. Yokohama Shopping Street 6-Man Tag Team Titles – 3 Way Match: Isami Kodaka, Minoru Fujita & Ryuichi Sekine (c) Vs FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & SAGAT Vs Abdullah Kobayashi, Hideki Suzuki & Yoshihisa Uto
5. Union MAX Title: Ryota Nakatsu (c) Vs Best Stretchman V3

For years now Gouma Ryu and Banana Senga have been rivals in the court. They get along when they are away from the criminal justice system so let’s see how they work as a tag team.

Jun Masaoka doesn’t want to get along with anybody but he is pretty much a part of the current BASARA rookie generation. Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino have been teaming together anyway. A third partner for them wouldn’t hurt.

DDT “SOUKEN HOLDINGS PRESENTS MAX BUMP 2019”, 28/04/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Masahiro Takanashi & Pokotan (w/ Danshoku Dieno)
2. Keisuke Okuda Farewell Match: Keisuke Okuda, Yuki Ueno & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Kota Umeda, Mizuki Watase & Yuki Iino
3. Saki Akai & Asuka Vs Mad Paulie & Nobuhiro Shimatani
4. Legendary Wrestler Yoshiaki Yatsu First Match In DDT: Yoshiaki Yatsu, Sanshiro Takagi & Yukio Sakaguchi Vs Akito, Kazusada Higuchi & Hiroshi Yamato
5. DDT Extreme Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Antonio Honda
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles – 4 Way Tag Match: Daisuke Sasaki (c) & Soma Takao Vs Konosuke Takeshita & Shunma Katsumata (?) Vs MAO & Mike Bailey Vs Ricky Starks & Mike Rollins
7. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs Makoto Oishi

For his first KO-D Openweight Title defence, Tetsuya Endo has chosen Makoto Oishi to be his opponent because he is guaranteed to beat him. That was proven over the weekend when Endo submitted Oishi in the main event of Sunday’s show. Oishi thinks he has a chance because he could outsmart Endo with his wrestling knowledge. Endo thinks he has everything in his arsenal to beat Oishi anyway no matter how Oishi uses his head when they wrestle.

There is a lot of craziness surrounding the KO-D Tag Team Titles match. Konosuke Takeshita challenged the new champions DAMNATION because he wants to get revenge for losing the KO-D Title to Daisuke Sasaki in New York. The Moonlight Express want to get their rematch because they are the former champions. Newcomers Ricky Starks & Mike Rollins saw an opportunity to get involved in the title picture and also want to be in the match. So we are getting a 4 Way Match for the belts. Now there is a new bump in the road for ALL OUT because it was announced today that Shunma Katsumata is out of action for an undetermined amount of time with a left ankle injury.

The mascot Pokotan wrestles in a DDT ring for the first time since its debut at “JUDGEMENT 2019”.

2. Sakisama & Misao Vs Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
3. Special Single Match: Aja Kong Vs Maki Itoh
4. TOKYO Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Natsumi Maki & Hikari Noa
5. TOKYO Princess Of Princess Title: Miyu Yamashita (c) Vs Shoko Nakajima

With 10 defences under her belt and two championships over her shoulders, Miyu Yamashita has been looking mighty unbeatable lately. Yuka Sakazaki has been the same and both of them have more overseas bookings they’re looking forward too. Sadly for Shoko Nakajima when it comes to the most established power trio of Tokyo Joshi she’s been feeling left out. Well no more! Nakajima has challenged Yamashita for the TOKYO Princess Title at Korakuen Hall. Will Anguirus topple Godzilla?

Misao is constantly telling everyone that Hyper Misao is dead and never coming back. Rika Tatsumi doesn’t believe her and is willing to fight her to prove the superhero is still alive in there somewhere. Miu Watanabe has been constantly fighting and losing to NEO Biishiki-gun ever since Misao joined the unit. With the Up Up Girls now down one member and her other partners currently taking separate paths, she gets another chance to stand up to Sakisama.

Kikutaro’s original opponent Kuishinbo Kamen cannot compete because of an injury so the match has been cancelled. Antonio Honda has asked to be Kikutaro’s new opponent because it is what he wants more than anything else in his life.

Naomi Yoshimura was supposed to be on the show but family circumstances are preventing him from coming this weekend. He will be back in the ring wrestling again on the 14th.

I missed this but on 2nd April DDT announced that Keisuke Okuda will resign from the company at the end of the month and become a freelancer. His contract with DDT was originally just a one year contract but it turned out to be the shortest contract in the company’s history. Okuda is grateful for the opportunities DDT gave to him when he left IGF last year and he’s been a fan of the company since he was in junior high but he wants to move his career in a different direction and go on a new adventure. Okuda wants his big match before he leaves to be against Yukio Sakaguchi.

“Absolute” Ricky Starks is from Louisiana, USA and has been wrestling since 2012. Mike Rollins is from Ontario, Canada and has been wrestling since 2007. Rollins is normally a mild person but during matches he can switch personalities and turn into a mad man named “Psycho” Mike.

The current Right To Challenge Gauntlet holders are Kazuki Hirata (blue) and Keisuke Ishii (yellow).

Ishii has also added himself and Ken Ohka into the Lariat Match. He thinks the gimmick is so much fun that he wants to get involved too.

Lastly as if the show wasn’t enough of a rib on Ken Ohka, Ishii has added him to the 90’s joshi tribute match. Ohka has promised to do the Japanese Ocean Cyclone Suplex in that match.

4. DDT Extreme Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Antonio Honda
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Tetsuya Endo (c) Vs X

It must have been fate for Tetsuya Endo to win the KO-D Openweight Title in New York. He was only there for around three days but to him it’s been three years and he has become a true born and raised New Yorker in that time. He wants to become the same kind of foreign KO-D Champion that Kenny Omega and El Generico were. To kick off his title reign, Endo is going to nominate his first challenger for a title defence on 28th April. He wants to pick an opponent he can beat 100 times out of 100. There is concerns among DDT management that Endo’s new American diet of hamburgers will result in him losing the high level physique that he’s been so proud of keeping up until now.

HARASHIMA and Antonio Honda will announce their stipulation match for the DDT Extreme Title on 16th April.

1. Sanshiro Takagi Marunage Match ~ Lucha Libre Classica Rules: Masahiro Takanashi Vs Kazuki Hirata

The Lucha Libre Classica match is supposedly going to take place in a hexagon shaped ring and wrestlers can be disqualified if they use a rope break five times. This stipulation was used once in a match between Sanshiro Takagi and Masahiro Takanashi for the Extreme Title back in 2008. Takagi wants Makoto Oishi to experience this match and convey the charm of llave wrestling.

Hiroshi Yamato will be on the show.

Saki Akai has said she wants Asuka to be part of her trios team. She just hasn’t asked her yet.

A popular photographer will be at the show taking pictures so Dieno is putting together a match where everyone has to look photogenic while they wrestle each other.

Toru Owashi wants Hirata to fight two dolls and Yutaka Yoshie in a Rumble style gauntlet. I don’t like Hirata’s chances here.

Off To New York, BASARA 8s, Itoh Challenges Kong

April 1, 2019

One last news update before I begin travelling for Mania week. The “DDT IS COMING TO AMERICA” guide is done and has been posted. I’ll be gone for two weeks but this time I’m bringing a laptop with me so results and maybe even a report will be posted in good time. The La Boom show will be the only DDT related wrestling event I’ll be attending during the week. Sadly that means missing their involvement with the Kaiju Big Battel shows which is a crossover I would have loved to see in person. But hey, maybe I’ll witness a sea lion win the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title when I go visit the Central Park zoo or something.

Also I have one piece of advice for people going to New York for a long vacation during this period. Avoid the Knicks games. It’s just not worth it this season.

West Army: Ryota Nakatsu, Akiyori Takizara, Takumi Tsukamoto, Fuminori Abe, Takato Nakano, Masato Kamino, Tsutomu Oosugi & Banana Senga

Every match will have an 8 minute time limit. Victory can be earned by an 8 second pin, an 8 second KO, an 8 second countout or if the opponent ignores a referee’s instruction for 8 seconds. BASARA posted this news two days ago so I don’t think this is an April Fools joke.

Yusuke Kubo is recovering from an injury from the last show and is unable to compete this week. Akiyori Takizara takes his place.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “YES! WONDERLAND 2019 ~OPPORTUNITY IS THERE~”, 03/05/2019

1. Special Single Match: Aja Kong Vs Maki Itoh

The Heisei era is over and so is Aja Kong along with it. At least that’s according to Maki Itoh. She also thinks the newly named Reiwa Era should have been called the Itoh Era. That girl is humble as always. Kong says Golden Week is very busy for her this year but she will willingly give up 10 minutes of her time to wrestle Itoh.

DDT “DDT LIVE! MAJI MANJI SUPER ROJO PRO WRESTLING IN ABEMA TOWERS”, 29/03/2019
Tokyo Abema Towers

1. X Vs X

In 2017 DDT went to CyberAgent headquarters to cause some havoc with their Rojo Pro Wrestling show. Some time has passed and DDT is ready to create more havoc in the workplace, this time over in Abema Towers. The reason for this is because Danshoku Dieno once again wants to search for the CyberAgent president. The last time he did this his plot was to frame the president with a gay love scandal so the company stock would plummet. Dieno would then buy up the stock and rebuild the company in his own image.

Wrestlers advertised to appear on the show include Shiro Koshinaka, Sanshiro Takagi, Danshoku Dieno, Konosuke Takeshita, HARASHIMA, MAO, Isami Kodaka and Miyu Yamashita. Other guests include Tenshin Nasukawa, Kurochan and gravure idol Yuka Kuramochi.

DDT “I DO NOT WANT TO ADMIT, I CANNOT GO TO AMERICA 2019”, 04/04/2019
Shin-Kiba 1st RING

2. Hardcore Match: Shunma Katsumata Vs Gunso
3. No No DQ Match: Yuki Ueno Vs Super Sasadango Machine
4. DDT Pro Wrestling Vs Ganbare☆Wrestling!: Kota Umeda & Keisuke Okuda Vs Shuichiro Katsumura & Keisuke Ishii

The wrestlers who are not going to America next month for DDT’s show in New York have been given the book for their own show taking place in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on the same day. With Hisaya Imabayashi guiding them, the wrestlers have held regular meetings to put their card together. DDT management have been so impressed by the project so far that they are giving more chances for wrestlers to book their own matches on future shows.

DDT “SOUKEN HOLDINGS PRESENTS MAX BUMP 2019”, 28/04/2019
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. DDT Extreme Title: HARASHIMA (c) Vs Antonio Honda
2. KO-D Openweight Title: Konosuke Takeshita (c) Vs X

There are three definite KO-D Openweight Title matches on schedule for the next few months, no matter who the champion is. If Konosuke Takeshita can beat Jiro Kuroshio at the end of this month and survive any Right To Challenge cash ins, then his next defence will be on 28th April.

There is nothing more exciting in wrestling for Antonio Honda than fighting for the DDT Extreme Title. So when he had the chance to challenge HARASHIMA for the belt he wasted no time in taking it. That mean Honda entered the ring wearing only his shirts, underwear and socks. Now that’s commitment.

Hiroshi Yamato and Asuka will be on the show.
