He wants to win the titles again but this time with Yuki Ueno & To-y in The 37KAMIINA. However Yuni & Kazuma Sumi wanted this rematch to win back the titles with Katsumata under the NωA Jr. unit. DDT decided to go with NωA Jr. over The 37KAMIINA for the next title match.

The Strange Love Connection’s MC KIMIHIRO finally makes his DDT debut on this show.

On yesterday’s DDT show Yuki Ishida got beaten up pretty badly so he has been taken off this weekend’s two shows in order to recover. He is expected to be back in action on the 6th May Korakuen Hall show unless he hasn’t recovered in time.

Also a lot of fresh faces from around the scene are on board from Chanyota to Kirari Wakana to Ali Najima to MASA☆TAKA and plenty more in between.

It is confirmed that Kyoraku Kyomei are the defending Princess Tag Team Champions going up against Matcha & Lee.

The TJPW RUSH! match was such a success at the end of last year that they’re bringing it back. It is a 5 Vs 5 Team Gauntlet Match with 2 Count Pinfalls and 5 minute time limits. Any match that ends in a time limit draw restarts with 1 Count sudden death rules. This time it is an Osaka themed competition with Mizuki captaining the Takoyaki team and Suzume captaining the Kushikatsu team. Their teammates will first be determined by a lottery and then the captains get to put their match entry in order.

Should any of the RUSH! wrestlers not get to take part because their team wins early, they will be added into Match #5 with all of the Yuki’s. The 3 Way Match will turn into a tag team match if only one person is added. If two are added then it will become a 5 Way Match, three added will be a 6-Woman Tag, etc.

Meanwhile Back In Japan, TJPW Golden Week Title Matches, Namba’s Dream Coming True

I’m going to be travelling to Las Vegas tomorrow and it’s going to be a long trip ahead. You will know I have arrived safe and sound when the guides for the DDT and Tokyo Joshi Pro shows get posted. That should be on Tuesday night Vegas time but if more things get announced or even changed it will have to wait until Wednesday morning. I’ll try to at least stay up to date with the show results for the rest of the week but show reports may take a while because I’m still meant to be on holiday. Enjoy the week and let it all seep in!

Van is a Vietnamese-American wrestler so it will mean a lot to her to win a championship from Vietnam Pro Wrestling.

They believe Watase is not being honest about his recovery and is not wrestling at 100%. The sooner this match happens, the better their chances are to win the tag titles.

There is only one person HARUKAZE believes she can beat in a fair fight and she is desperate to finally win one match before her wrestling career is put on hiatus. So she’s breaking the emergency glass and picked Ken Ohka to be her final opponent!

The Ganbare☆Joshi match will feature Nanami from Diana and Kirari Wakana from Ice Ribbon.

The show will also have LEONA from Dradition taking part in a match. He and Namba were classmates in the same university so they both know each other from before they entered the pro wrestling industry. One of Namba’s dreams was to announce LEONA for a match so it will come true after all.

Endo Loses National Title In NOAH, Takeshita Defends NEVER Title In NJPW

Yesterday two of DDT’s biggest exports were both involved in title matches for different companies. Let’s see how they got on.


NOAH “STAR NAVIGATION PREMIUM ~NOAH JR. TAG LEAGUE 2025~”, 11/02/2025

5. GHC National Title: Manabu Soya defeated Tetsuya Endo (c) with the Dando (12:20).
*Tetsuya Endo fails in V1. Manabu Soya becomes the 15th GHC National Champion!

Well that puts a dampener of Tetsuya Endo’s heel turn. Not long after he won the GHC National Title and joined TEAM 2000X he loses it back to Manabu Soya in the rematch. In the preview matches coming up to this bout, Endo taunted Soya by telling him the result would be the same and his family would get so fed up by Soya’s failure they would abandon him! However Soya was determined to reclaim his championship even if he had to overcome a damaged elbow to do so. He also got help from the RATEL’S unit to fend off interference from TEAM 2000X. With the fight now evened out, Soya went on to beat Endo and win back the National Title.

Endo blamed the loss on the referee’s pin count but will not dwell on it for long. He is already missing the sweet voice of a NOAH championship and does not intend to return to DDT empty handed. He has long stay in NOAH ahead of him and when the time comes for him to go back home, he will bring a souvenir for DDT back with him.


NJPW “THE NEW BEGINNING IN OSAKA”, 11/02/2025

6. NEVER Openweight Title: KONOSUKE TAKESHITA (c) defeated Oleg Boltin with the Raging Fire (11:33).
*V3 for KONOSUKE TAKESHITA.

Fortunes fared better for Konosuke Takeshita over in New Japan. He put the NEVER Openweight Title on the line against Oleg Boltin in a rematch from last year’s G1 Climax. This time Takeshita was able to survive the Kamikaze Drop and use a Front Neck Lock to sap the life out of his opponent. Boltin was unable to kick out of the Raging Fire after that. Backstage Takeshita said he was thankful to Boltin ever since the G1 match because losing to him only made Takeshita stronger. He looks forward to a third and final showdown to happen some day.

Takeshita quickly found out who is next to face him for the title. Ryohei Oiwa approached him after the match. He said it would be interesting to see Takeshita’s worldwide wrestling style line up against Oiwa’s Japanese only style (Oiwa famously never went on the traditional overseas excursion every young lion goes through). Takeshita warned him that a world class wrestler like himself is very strong.

After losing to Zara Zakher twice this year, Miu Watanabe finally got to get a win back and under important circumstances. With this fifth successful Princess Of Princess Title defence, Watanabe now has the second most defences in a single reign behind Miyu Yamashita’s 10 win streak from 2018/2019. Zakher relied on the same game plan she used to beat Watanabe previously, using a backflip to avoid the champ’s attack and countering with the RKO. However this time Watanabe was able to block the Control Z, use a Double Hammer strike to fend off Zakher’s Lariats and countered a Jumping Knee Strike with a Power Slam. With Zakher’s offence nullified, Watanabe used the Laser Beam followed by the Tear Drop to win the match.

Watanabe told the fans how happy she was to defend the title in Osaka. She called Zakher a scary opponent for beating her twice before but it was also really fun to wrestle somebody as talented as her. Backstage she said she wants to get closer to Yamashita’s record for most title defences. She was asked by the interviewer if she has any thoughts about the 4th January Korakuen Hall show. Watanabe hasn’t thought about it yet because she was so focused on today. She is aware that anyone could come out to challenge her for the title on that show. Whoever it will be, she won’t turn them down. Zakher thought the atmosphere wrestling in Osaka was great and different from Tokyo. She promised to get more experience and come back to Tokyo Joshi Pro with the goal of winning one of the championships. Any of them will make her happy because she wants to win gold.

We’re not getting a two-time winner for the Next Generation Tournament because Wakana Uehara is out after the semi-finals! Haru Kazashiro scored the upset of the tournament by fighting out of the Banana Pillow submission and using the Fisherman Suplex to pin Uehara. Kazashiro admits she was worried because Uehara is the strongest of the 23 year old wrestlers in TJPW and Kazashiro is not very good at believing in herself. When she did win the match her head was feeling all over the place and took a moment before she realised the crowd were cheering for her victory. Uehara is upset she couldn’t make it to the final on 22nd November especially since she knows some of her fans already bought tickets to the show expecting to see her in that match.

Toga will be meeting Kazashiro in the final after she defeated Kira Summer. The combination of the Rolling Thunder and Rock Bottom gave Toga the victory. She feels vindicated because last year she was eliminated in the semi-finals in the same venue. She thought she would face Uehara in the final so it would be her chance to avenge last year’s defeat. However she didn’t expect to see Kazashiro beat Wakana. Toga is still motivated none the less. Shinjuku FACE is where her debut match was so she is excited to have the final be held there. Summer feel frustrated because everything she has done up to now was for this tournament but the difference in experience between her and her seniors is still wide. She knows she will get there eventually, she just doesn’t have the experience yet.

The Up Up Girls performed their brand new song “SEED” at the start of the show.

Brahman Kei made his first public appearance in Michinoku Pro over the weekend after getting surgery to remove a tumor. He won’t be able to wrestle for a while yet but is capable of being at ringside for Brahman Shu’s matches again. In order to keep the two teams even, Ram Kaichow has gone looking for someone extra to look out for her team against the Brahmans.

I have to say I didn’t expect to see Chris Brookes win the KO-D Openweight Title from Shinya Aoki. Even more so I didn’t expect the next Sumo Hall main event to be Brookes Vs Sasaki for the belt. Sasaki is sick of hearing people like Brookes in DDT talk about love and dreams. He is more motivated to make the lives of those people a living hell than he is to become the champion again.

More personalities from the entertainment world are coming to make their pro wrestling debuts in DDT. This time it is a masked man named Kumadori from the “Dance Terrorist Group” O-MENZ. According to Kumadori he is one of the most muscular members of the group and he wants to unleash his breakdancing wrestler skills in the ring. This deal came together when Kumadori met Sanshrio Takagi through a mutual acquaintance. He told Takagi directly that he wanted to give wrestling a try. I looked up some O-MENZ videos online and I think the closest comparison I can think of is they’re like a Japanese version of Jabbawockeez.

It was announced yesterday that Runa Okubo will be taking an indefinite hiatus from pro wrestling at the end of the month to focus on her education. She is currently in high school and told Tokyo Joshi Pro she’s been having difficulties with balancing pro wrestling with her studies so a decision was made by the company and her guardians to put her wrestling career on hold for the time being. Okubo’s final match for now will be against Yuki Kamifuku. Her opponent is not going to take it easy on her though. Kamifuku said she is going to pluck out Okubo’s eyes and sell them off like jewelry!

Over the weekend BASARA announced that Daiki Shimomura’s one year suspension had come to an end and he will be returning to wrestling at the end of this month. Shimomura was suspended from all BASARA related activities last October over an incident that was only reported as inappropriate behavior from his private life. To this day I still haven’t heard anything to even suggest what the incident was. But it was enough that BASARA had to make a public apology afterward while Shimomura had to disappear from wrestling for a year. His return match has him in the ring with the other members of Sento Minzoku.

All of the Right To Challenge Shields have been used up so now its back to traditional ways to get title matches. Chris Brookes challenged Shinya Aoki for the KO-D Openweight Title to see which one of them loves DDT more.

The feud between SCHADENFREUDE International and DAMNATION T.A continues with Takeshi Masada and Ilusion facing each other one on one. Ilusion wants to destroy Masada’s pretty face!

An all mascot showdown is taking place thanks to Pokotan and Touchi-kun. Originally Pokotan wanted to fight the Japan Self-Defence Force mascot but changed his tune after watching Touchi-kun’s training for the match. Now Pokotan wants to team up with Touchi-kun to take on another tag team. DDT held a press conference today annnouncing that the other team will also be made up of mascots. Oshinari-kun is the mascot for the Oshinari Shopping District and Higapyon is the mascot of Tokyo Higashi Shinkin Bank, the business that owns the naming rights for the venue. Shinichiro Kawamatsu brought the two mascots to a shrine for the announcement but didn’t expect Pokotan to show up and attack Oshinari-kun with a steel basin! However he held back from attacking Higapyon because he thinks that mascot is cute.

Tickets for the show are free so there are a lot of sponsorships up and down the card to fund the event.

She eliminated Miu Watanabe from the Tokyo Princess Cup during the summer so it’s been decided she will get a Princess Of Princess Title shot during this tour. It will also be the first time in five years when the title will be defended in Osaka. The last time that happened was Shoko Nakajima defending the belt against Mizuki back in September 2019.
