Kodaka said he is waiting for the invitation to be on that show. He also mentioned wanting to chase after the IRON FIST Tag Titles currently being held by Speed Of Sounds. Miyamoto asked if Kodaka was going to team with Daiki Shimomura to challenge them but Kodaka said they already tried and failed. Instead he wants Miyamoto to team with him so Yankee Two Kenju can become tag champs again! They are both 40 years old now but do not want to use age as an excuse for their failures.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022”, 24/07/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. 3 Way Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda Vs Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari Vs Sanshiro Takagi, Toru Owashi & Gota Ihashi

5. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON (c) Vs Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima
6. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs Yusuke Okada
7. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Asuka (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura

Am I sensing some jealousy coming from Daisuke Sasaki? He is accusing The 37KAMIINA of all getting big heads from their recent appearance on a national TV show. He wants to put them in their place and is putting the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles on the line to do so. MJ Paul and Toi Kojima were already meant to face each other in a dark match so they are now bumped up to the main card. KANON is also getting fed up with the enthusiastic energy coming from the sauna boys. Don’t they know you’re supposed to stay quiet in public saunas!

Sanshiro Takagi is not satisfied with just getting the DDT Extreme Title away from Pheromones. He wants to destroy the unit completely and won’t rest until they are done for. Toru Owashi & Gota Ihashi were already scheduled to face them in a tag match so Takagi is now sticking his nose into their business.

Dosun Dosun, Special Ref Takagi, Akai & Akiyama Teaming Together, Dramatic Explosion 2022

July 8, 2022

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22”, 09/07/2022
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Moka Miyamoto Vs Juria Nagano
2. Aja Kong, Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku Vs Hyper Misao, Nao Kakuta, Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami
3. Ryo Mizunami Vs Miu Watanabe
4. Hikaru Shida & Hikari Noa Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu
5. Riho & Arisu Endo Vs Mei Suruga & Suzume
6. International Princess Title: Maki Itoh (c) Vs Alex Windsor
7. Special Single Match: Thunder Rosa Vs Miyu Yamashita
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Saki Akai & Yuki Arai
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi

Before travelling to Japan, Thunder Rosa sent a video message to Tokyo Joshi Pro. In the video Rosa said if Miyu Yamashita beats her she will invite Yamashita back to AEW to have a rematch for the AEW Women’s Title. You know, it sounds very similar to what happened when Chris Jericho gave Hiroshi Tanahashi the same challenge at Wrestle Kingdom in 2020. Remember that is what inadvertently created the Forbidden Door phenomenon Just something to think about.

Juria Nagano is adding to her moveset after coming to the realization that the Brazilian Kick became too predictable for her opponents to see coming. She came up with a kicking combination based on her own Karate skill mixed with techniques she learned from watching videos of K-1 fighters and kickboxers on Youtube. For the moment she is calling this move the Dosun Dosun because that is the sound it makes (thud, thud) when she hits the opponent. She also learned from watching THE MATCH between Tenshin Nasukawa and Takeru, particularly how to fight as an underdog.

Some old monster gimmicks will be at the shot doing photo sessions with the fans. They are Dr. Kiriko, Mr. No and Shin Mokujin Ken. Whatever happened to J-Soul Pandita III IV?

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022 TOUR IN NAGOYA”, 16/07/2022
Aichi Nippon Gaishi Sports Plaza 3rd Stadium

1. Yuji Hino Vs Yuki Ishida
2. DISASTER BOX Vs Eruption!: HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani
3. The 37KAMIINA Vs BURNING!: Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & Toi Kojima Vs Jun Akiyama, Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku
4. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON (c) Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
5. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Vs 1 Handicap Rule: Yuki “Sexy” Iino (c), Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari Vs Akito (Special Referee: Sanshiro Takagi)
6. Special Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura Vs MAO & Yukio Naya

The changes caused by Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura graduating from their units and forming a tag team together is already being felt. Several matches for next week’s show have been swapped around now that Higuchi is no longer in Eruption and Yoshimura is no longer with DISASTER BOX.

Sanshiro Takagi has made himself the Special Referee for the DDT Extreme Title match. He has no power to be an active competitor in the match because only the champion Yuki Iino could make that decision. However every match needs a referee and Takagi got permission from Hisaya Imabayashi to be that referee. This is all part of his plan to destroy Pheromones once and for all. A potential roadblock to this plan is Akito. He no longer wants to be involved with this feud and is only concerned about becoming the Extreme Champion again on his own terms. Takagi tipping the odds in Akito’s favour or even straight up handing him the victory probably won’t be tolerated by the challenger.

Daisuke Sasaki has said he will quit pro wrestling if Antonio Honda makes him laugh during the KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles match. Whether or not he lives up to this idea remains to be seen.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022 TOUR IN NAGANO”, 18/07/2022

4. The 37KAMIINA Vs Eruption!: Yuki Ueno & Toi Kojima Vs Yukio Sakaguchi & Hideki Okatani

6. Nagano Specialty Special 6-Man Tag Match: Yasushi Kanda, Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs HARASHIMA, Toru Owashi & Kazuki Hirata

The Higuchi & Yoshimura team will be heavily focused on MAO for the time being.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022”, 24/07/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: MJ Paul Vs Toi Kojima
1. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Toru Owashi & Gota Ihashi
2. 3 Way Tag Match: Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda Vs Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani
3. Makoto Oishi Return Match: Makoto Oishi & Kazuki Hirata Vs Akito & Yuki Ishida
4. Tetsuya Endo Return Match ~ Special 6-Man Tag Match: Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama & Yuya Koroku Vs HARASHIMA, Yukio Sakaguchi & Soma Takao
5. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs Yusuke Okada
6. KO-D Tag Team Titles: MAO & Asuka (c) Vs Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura

And here is the reason why. The new tag team have challenged MAO & Asuka for the KO-D Tag Team Titles. Yoshimura wants to strike while the iron is hot and is treating this match as their only chance to win the belts.

Masahiro Takanashi and Yusuke Okada are currently arguing over who is the more negative personality in DDT. Neither wants to admit the other is more miserable then themselves for some reason.

DDT “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022”, 20/08/2022
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Shinichiro Kawamatsu Debut Match ~ Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Member Vs Bunkyo Ward Assembly Member: Shinichiro Kawamatsu, Sanshiro Takagi & Soma Takao Vs Osamu Nishimura, Makoto Oishi & Akito

3. International Special Hardcore Match: Joey Janela Vs Shunma Katsumata
4. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs X
5. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

For the first time ever Jun Akiyama and Saki Akai are teaming together! It is also going to be Akiyama’s first time doing a Mixed Tag Match. This is Akai’s idea because she thinks teaming with Akiyama will be a great way to become a stronger wrestler. Akiyama accepts the offer because he is the coach for the entire DDT roster, not just the young wrestlers. Chris Brookes & Asuka have been chosen as their opponents.

Part of Konosuke Takeshita’s return to Japan after the summer is to take part in an Atsushi Onita explosion death match! He reunites with his buddies from The 37KAMIINA while Onita is joined by Shinya Aoki & Yukio Naya. Those two are becoming well familiar with explosion death matches at this point.

Higuchi New KO-D Champ, Everett Not A Giant? Salad Or Sweetbread, Extreme Title Handicap Match

July 4, 2022

DDT “DDT FREE -LET’S ALL SPEAK UP!-”, 07/07/2022
Shinjuku FACE

1. KANON Vs Yuya Koroku
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino & Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno Vs Akito & Kazuki Hirata

4. Masahiro Takanashi & Shunma Katsumata Vs Asuka & Yusuke Okada
5. DAMNATION T.A Vs The Iyasareru!: Daisuke Sasaki & MJ Paul Vs Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
6. Special Single Match: MAO Vs Andrew “The Giant” Everett
7. Special Tag Match: Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura Vs Yuki Ueno & Toi Kojima

A press conference was held today for Kazusada Higuchi to address the King Of DDT aftermath. The new KO-D Openweight Champion thanked the fans for their support because he doesn’t think he won the tournament by himself. He praised both of his recent opponents Jun Akiyama and Naomi Yoshimura. He would be fine with Akiyama being one of his title challengers. He also suggested teaming with Yoshimura in a tag match because they did not interact often in DNA and it would be something new. DDT accepted his request for the tag match. They chose Yuki Ueno & Toi Kojima for their opponents because Ueno was also in the semi-finals and Kojima is from after the DNA generation.

Questions have been asked about Andrew Everett’s true size ever since his DDT debut took place. He was given a surprise height measurement during today’s press conference after he was told he would face MAO in a singles match this Thursday. Hisaya Imabayashi tried to measure him but Everett kept trying to cheat. He jumped in the air, stood on a chair and then accidentally pulled the measuring tape off the wall before Choke Slamming it. Imabayashi finally got to measure him when he wasn’t looking and discovered he is really only 170cm tall! Everett has been exposed as a fraud! However his high flying abilities during yesterday’s match was so impressive that DDT still wants to book him. So his match with MAO will go ahead.

An autograph session for Ken Ohka and Shota was held at the Champion shop in Suidobashi yesterday. Yumehito Imanari crashed the event and taunted Ohka by offering him a choice of chicken salad or sweetbread. Ohka chose the salad and took a bite out of it to prove he is taking his diet for the match seriously. Imanari approved and said he can see the shine in Ohka’s face returning. But then he tried to stuff the sweetbread into Ohka’s mouth. Ohka resisted and said he wouldn’t break his promise to be the best Ken Ohka he can be. Imanari backed off and again gave approval to Ohka’s serious attitude toward their match.

SenoSister Mao Inoue is a familiar face on Gake no Fuchi Joshi shows. Sylvania❤️Catherine is apparently related to indie wrestler Takahiro Katori.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022 TOUR IN NAGOYA”, 16/07/2022
Aichi Nippon Gaishi Sports Plaza 3rd Stadium

1. KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Titles: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Paul & KANON (c) Vs Masahiro Takanashi, Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda
2. DDT Extreme Title – 3 Vs 1 Handicap Rule: Yuki “Sexy” Iino (c), Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Yumehito “Fantastic” Imanari Vs Akito

The match stipulations for DDT Extreme Title defences are usually decided by the champion so it is a little odd how little those rules get abused. This is one of those times. Yuki Iino is teaming with Danshoku Dieno AND Yumehito Imanari to face Akito in a 3 Vs 1 Handicap Match. However the rule may backfire because it is a one fall match and Akito will become the champion if he beats any member of Pheromones.

He is finally taking initiative for himself and challenging Masahiro Takanashi for the DDT Universal Title. Takanashi is fighting to keep the title so he can bring it with him when he begins wrestling around the world after the summer.

42 days after his concussion, Tetsuya Endo will be cleared to wrestle again. He accepts the result of the DDT Vs NOAH match from “CYBERFIGHT FESTIVAL 2022” and wants to move on with a fresh start. Whether or not he quickly returns to the title picture remains to be seen but the path to take it would begin here.

DDT “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022”, 20/08/2022
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Shinichiro Kawamatsu Debut Match ~ Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Member Vs Bunkyo Ward Assembly Member: Shinichiro Kawamatsu, Sanshiro Takagi & Soma Takao Vs Osamu Nishimura, Makoto Oishi & Akito
2. International Special Hardcore Match: Joey Janela Vs Shunma Katsumata
3. DDT Universal Title: Masahiro Takanashi (c) Vs X
4. KO-D Openweight Title: Kazusada Higuchi (c) Vs X

Higuchi wants to nominate Endo as his opponent for “WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022”. It will all depend on how well Endo does in his return match on 27th July. If DDT or Endo himself does not think he is up to the task then Higuchi may have to nominate someone else.

The debut match of Shinichiro Kawamatsu is going to be more political than he anticipated. One of his opponents is Osamu Nishimura! The legendary wrestler is currently a Councilor on the Bunkyo Ward Council.

Konosuke Takeshita will be on the show. He is coming back to Japan for a little while before continuing his international excursion.

Takeshita will also be in his hometown to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of his debut match. He was asked to choose his opponent and he picked Daisuke Sasaki. He decided nobody else can bring out all of himself in the ring like Sasaki can. He also doesn’t know how many more times they will have singles matches against each other so now is the time to do it again.

6. Special Tag Match ~ CDK Vs ROMANCE DAWN: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Shota & Soma Takao
7. Special Single Match: Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Minoru Suzuki
8. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) Vs Ken Ohka

Nine years ago Ganbare☆Pro was created by Ken Ohka. Standing next to him was Yumehito Imanari, who wasn’t even a full fledged pro wrestler at the time. Now Imanari has become a strong wrestler and also a champion. Ohka knows his friend has already surpassed him but he really, really wants to win the Spirit Of Ganbare Title. Imanari says neither of them make a living from pro wrestling alone but he does not feel guilty about it. This has been his way of life for a decade and he will put everything into it at Ota Ward. He also remembers their last singles match against each other 4 years ago. There was no winner then because of outside interference so he wants the result to be clear on 10th July.

Shuichiro Katsumura met face to face with Minoru Suzuki for the first time since their brawl earlier this month. Since then Katsumura changed his attitude over the match. At first he was excited to finally wrestle Suzuki but after meeting him he is now determined to beat him. He’s been studying Suzuki trying to find any weaknesses he can take advantage of. Suzuki accused Katsumura of holding onto past glories from his MMA career which makes him want to smash Katsumura to pieces! He also told Katsumura not to disappoint him.

The war of words between Yuna Manase and Sayaka Unagi took a bizarre turn during the press conference. Manase talked about having no regrets in her career that brought her from Stardom to Actwres girl’Z to Tokyo Joshi Pro to Ganpro. So she knows Unagi but is unsure if her behavior now is out of confidence or insecurity. However she will not underestimate her opponent because she wants to prove Ganpro is amazing. Unagi said her problem is when she lost the singles match against Manase in 2019 she lost to a woman who is in the late stages of her wrestling career. Unagi needs to get her win back so she can move on to working her way up in Stardom and collect all of their championships. The bizarre moment was when the two stood next to each other for the photo op. Unagi suddenly attacked Manase and bit her on the chest! Unagi told her she is sick of seeing Manase acting so kind hearted. She wants to see Manase fighting for her life and go crazy in the ring!

Shun’s BFF Elizabeth❤️Toy is expected to return too while more members of Prominence are yet to be announced. Yokohama Radiant Hall

1. Yuji Hino & Yukio Naya Vs HARASHIMA & Hideki Okatani
2. Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Akito “Cochin” Nishigaki Vs Toru Owashi, Kazuki Hirata & Soma Takao

6. KO-D 10-Man Tag Team Titles: Poison Sawada JULIE, Takashi Sasaki, GENTARO, MIKAMI & Thanomsak Toba (w/ Naomi Susan) (c) Vs Yuki Ueno, MAO, Shunma Katsumata, Toi Kojima & Shinya Aoki

The identity of Chris Brookes’ tag partner on 3rd July will be revealed during tomorrow’s show. The clues so far are it is a foreign wrestler but, to my surprise, it is not somebody Brookes is already an acquaintance with. So that means it is not Drew Parker or a Kid Lykos or like 90% of the British wrestling scene for that matter. Brookes himself is trying to find out before the show takes place and is badgering Sanshiro Takagi online to at least send him a LINE message about it. Takagi has also said it is not Joey Janela making an early appearance, meaning it is a sign there are more foreign wrestlers coming to DDT this year.

DDT “KING OF DDT 2022 FINAL!!”, 03/07/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

0. Dark Match: Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani Vs Toru Owashi, Soma Takao & Toi Kojima
0. Dark Match: Daisuke Sasaki & KANON Vs Yuji Hino & Yuki Ishida
1. King Of DDT 2022 – Semi Final: Yuki Ueno Vs Naomi Yoshimura
2. King Of DDT 2022 – Semi Final: Kazusada Higuchi Vs Jun Akiyama
3. Yuki “Sexy” Iino, Danshoku “Dandy” Dieno & Akito “Cochin” Nishigaki Vs Antonio Honda, Kazuki Hirata & Yukio Naya
4. Masahiro Takanashi & HARASHIMA Vs Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku
5. Special Tag Match: MAO & Shunma Katsumata Vs Chris Brookes & X
6. KO-D Openweight Title – King Of DDT 2022 – Final: X Vs X

The four remaining wrestlers in King Of DDT gave their thoughts going into the final rounds. Yuki Ueno wants to use his skills to spread DDT across the world and this tournament is his chance to do that. Naomi Yoshimura credits his size advantage for getting through the first two rounds. He is also letting those results speak for themselves rather than fighting on behalf of the people he has defeated like the others. Kazusada Higuchi wants to win the vacant KO-D Openweight Title and become DDT’s symbol of strength while he waits for Tetsuya Endo to return. Jun Akiyama just said now is the time for DDT to show their strength and he will lead the charge.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22”, 09/07/2022
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Moka Miyamoto Vs Juria Nagano
2. Aja Kong, Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku Vs Hyper Misao, Nao Kakuta, Haruna Neko & Kaya Toribami
3. Miu Watanabe Vs Willow Nightingale
4. Hikaru Shida & Hikari Noa Vs Yuki Kamifuku & Mahiro Kiryu
5. International Princess Title: Maki Itoh (c) Vs Alex Windsor
6. Riho & Arisu Endo Vs Mei Suruga & Suzume
7. Special Single Match: Thunder Rosa Vs Miyu Yamashita
8. Princess Tag Team Titles: Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) Vs Saki Akai & Yuki Arai
9. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi

Rika Tatsumi is excited for her main event match because she gets to fight on the stage of her dreams. She wants to make Shoko Nakajima feel the same way and have a crazy match for the Princess Of Princess Title. Tatsumi is hoping to discover a side of herself she has never seen before. Nakajima senses TJPW is getting momentum and she wants to stay at the forefront of it. She can tell Tatsumi wants to be in the same position so she is really looking forward to the match.

A fresh new challenge has appeared for The Magical Sugar Rabbits, even if there is something vaguely familiar with it. I don’t know, I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen this scenario develop three times already… Yuka Sakazaki thinks the Princess Tag Team Titles are characterized by a wide variety of matches and Mizuki wants to make them even more valuable. Reiwa AA Cannon are fitting opponents for those reasons because it is two high profile women teaming together. Yuki Arai feels blessed to be surrounded by wonderful senpais and wants to make the most out of her opportunities. Winning the Tag Titles is not her ultimate goal in wrestling but is part of the process. Saki Akai thinks she needs to get to know Arai better because this will only be their third time teaming together. Their opponents have been strongly bonded together by friendship for years!

5. Special Single Match: Yuna Manase Vs Sayaka Unagi
6. Special Tag Match ~ CDK Vs ROMANCE DAWN: Chris Brookes & Masahiro Takanashi Vs Shota & Soma Takao
7. Special Single Match: Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Minoru Suzuki
8. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) Vs Ken Ohka

An unusual opening match has been added to the card. On paper it was 3 Vs 2 with Ganbare Tamagawa, Nobuhiro Shimatani & HARUKAZE on one side against Onryo & YuuRI. However Onryo & YuuRI will be joined by a third person. Munenori Sawa will be in their corner. He’s been officially retired from pro wrestling for years now but he’ll find some excuse to get physically involved in the match without breaking his commitment to stay retired.

BASARA “BASARA 196 ~ITCHI DANKETSU~”, 10/07/2022
Tokyo Itabashi Green Hall

1. Isami Kodaka 20th Anniversary Special Tag Match: Isami Kodaka & Takumi Tsukamoto Vs Fuminori Abe & Ikuto Hidaka

2. SAGAT & Akiyori Takizawa defeated Daichi Kazato & Gouma when Takizawa pinned Kazato after the Big Mac (13:03).

*V5 for Speed Of Sounds.
5. Union MAX Title: Isami Kodaka defeated Ryota Nakatsu (c) with the Diving Double Knee Drop (20:24).
*Ryota Nakatsu fails in V7. Isami Kodaka becomes the 17th Union MAX Champion!

The Union MAX Title belongs to Isami Kodaka once more! He brought Ryota Nakatsu’s dominant reign to an end with an unexpected use of a Fire Thunder Driver to set up not one, not two but three Diving Knee Drops in a row. It’s been four years since Kodaka last held the title and he isn’t eager to risk losing it so quickly. He announced he will not put the title on the line against Yuko Miyamoto for his 20th Anniversary match at Korakuen Hall on 18th July. The upcoming match is what inspired him to use the Fire Thunder today and he promises the match will be the culmination of Yankee Two Kenju.

Speed Of Sounds defended the IRON FIST Tag Titles while wearing homemade robot helmets and acting like RoboCop.

Chicharito Shoki got the win against Lil’ Kraken out of nowhere with the Torvezino Clutch. Kraken got angry over the result and attacked Shoki after the match forcing the two to be pulled apart.

At the start of the show Yusuke Kubo came out, making his first public appearance in BASARA since he was hospitalized with acute pancreatitis back in March. Kubo announced his return match will be on 10th July and he will be using a new name to mark the occasion. Yusuke Kubo is now called KUBITO! He explained it is sort of like the Mexican version of calling him “Kubo-chan”. The origin of the name comes from his time staying in Mexico when the landlady of the place he stayed in always called him “Kubito”.

The build to “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA” continues with Ganbare☆Pro putting together a lot of fresh matches it has to be said. BASARA are invited round with Kodaka & Daiki Shimomura taking on Keisuke Ishii & Nobuhiro Shimatani. That match doubles up as a Gran MilliMeters reunion for Shimomura and Shimatani. Former opponents Onryo & Tyson Maeguchi team up to go against the unique team of Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Shigehiro Irie. Also Ryuya Matsufusa returns to Ganpro for a match against Kouki Iwasaki.

TOKYO JOSHI PRO “SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’22”, 09/07/2022
Tokyo Ota Ward Gymnasium

1. Willow Nightingale Vs X
2. Mei Suruga & Suzume Vs X & X
3. International Princess Title: Maki Itoh (c) Vs Invited Overseas Wrestler
4. Princess Of Princess Title: Shoko Nakajima (c) Vs Rika Tatsumi

American wrestler Willow Nightingale will make her Tokyo Joshi Pro debut on the show. “The Babe With The Power” is a regular on the American indies with her most high profile work being with ROH, MLW and lately AEW. An interesting note to point out is she will not be the foreign wrestler challenging Maki Itoh for the International Princess Title. Nightingale’s match will instead be announced on a later date.

May as well put it here that the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer reports on discussions to bring Thunder Rosa back to TJPW while she holds the AEW Women’s Title. This follows up on last week’s report on AEW being so impressed with Miyu Yamashita during her entire American excursion that they may want to do Rosa Vs Yamashita for the title somewhere down the road. Rosa herself hasn’t kept it a secret about how much she supports TJPW and wants to go back to Japan (and I think she let slip on one of her vlogs that it will happen sooner rather than later). That would be a big opponent for Itoh because the belt she has was taken away from Rosa two years ago.

GANBARE☆PRO “WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA”, 10/07/2022

1. Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Vs Takiawa Army: Kouki Iwasaki & Tyson Maeguchi Vs Tatsuhito Takaiwa & 5th Black Tiger
2. Four Beasts Of Fate Gathered In Sekigahara ~Special Tag Match~: Keisuke Ishii & Shigehiro Irie Vs Isami Kodaka & Shuji Ishikawa
3. Ganbare☆Pro Wrestling Vs Eruption: Mizuki Watase, Moeka Haruhi & Shinichiro Tominaga Vs Yukio Sakaguchi, Saki Akai & Hideki Okatani

6. Special Single Match: Shuichiro Katsumura Vs Minoru Suzuki
7. Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Title: Yumehito Imanari (c) Vs Ken Ohka

Four figures from the past DNA that helped create Ganbare☆Pro are put together for a beastly tag match. You can trace Ishii, Irie, Kodaka and Shuji Ishikawa back to Ganpro’s predecessor Union Pro.

BASARA “ISAMI KODAKA 20TH ANNIVERSARY”, 18/07/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Lil’ Kraken Vs Raimu Imai
2. 3 Way Jacket Match: Trans-Am ★ Hiroshi Vs Gouma Vs Shiori Asahi
3. Takumi Tsukamoto, Yasu Urano & Kengo Mashimo Vs FUMA, Yusuke Kubo & Daichi Kazato
4. Daiki Shimomura, Takato Nakano & Masato Kamino Vs Tsutomu Oosugi, Banana Senga & Masahiro Takanashi
5. Elimination 8-Man Tag Match: Ryota Nakatsu, SAGAT, Naoki Tanizaki & Akiyori Takizawa Vs Fuminori Abe, Takuya Nomura, Hideyoshi Kamitani & Kosuke Sato
6. Isami Kodaka Vs Yuko Miyamoto

Kodaka celebrates his 20th Anniversary by taking on the wrestler who probably knows him better than anyone else in the business. Yuko Miyamoto teams on and off with Kodaka as Yankee Two Kenju and is probably the most fitting opponent available for this show.

For the first time in a long time Sparky is together at full power. All four members of the unit will team up to take on a Big Japan flavored team led by Astronauts.

Yusuke Kubo has recovered from his illness and returns to wrestling here. It will be his first match since March.

DDT “SUMMER VACATION 2022”, 24/07/2022
Tokyo Korakuen Hall

1. Makoto Oishi Return Match: Makoto Oishi Vs X

After one year away with injury, Makoto Oishi returns to the ring! Oishi suffered a back injury last July during a match and had to be stretchered out of the venue.
